I found this to be an engaging thriller that had me itching to find out what happened. The ending did leave me with several questions., there were several plot points that went unanswered. While I did find many of the twists predicable, I was surprised by how some it played out. Overall, this was a fast-paced read that kept me hooked.
A wedding, a possible murder, a grieving mother, and everyone has something to hide.
I had really high hopes for this book. I love a thriller that revolves around an event. But, I felt like this one lived too much in the past. The context was needed of course but I felt like sometimes it got a bit confusing.
I also had issues with most of the characters. No one was wholly good, it seemed.
I think that this was an enjoyable book. It just felt like it dragged on for too long. The ending was really satisfying because it made me audibly gasp and I did not see it coming.
Rebecca Heath wrote an absolute page turner with The Wedding Party. This one was so hard to put down!
A wedding in Refuge Bay on the South Australian coast has unearthed a myriad of feelings for everyone involved, as well as more than a few secrets, including the truth about a shared tragedy in the past that changed them all forever.
Between chapters from now and then, we slowly get the full picture of just what main character, Adele has gotten herself into with her new husband to be, Jason, and why someone is desperately trying to put a stop to their wedding.
Honestly the majority of these characters were AWFUL, and it was nice to see some of them get what was coming after 12 long years. I love a good love to hate character. What I didn’t anticipate, was who would be the one to do it, and just how much everyone was hiding while they struggled with the past.
I thought this was an engaging thriller and it kept me invested throughout! I do have some of the author’s backlog on my TBR already and I’m even more eager to get to them now.

I read this book very quickly, as soon as I started I knew it would be one that I wouldn't want to put down until I knew the truth!
I really liked the blurb but i just couldn't get into it. It had the potential to be a really good book it was just a bit.slow and confusing going back and fore in different timelines
I found this book to be a bit confusing to follow at the start with the different point of views. It was mildly thrilling and I think as I continued with the book, it slowly made sense. It was interesting to read about the past vs present but it would've been nice to know a little bit more about Adele and Jason rather than how they were connected to the past.
I really wanted to get into this book but it wasn't for me. I'm going to come back to in it again and re-read so I can get fully immersed.

Thank you @netgalley @rebeccaheathauthor and @headofzeus for the arc of The Wedding Party!
Adele and Jason are set to get married with family and friends at a beautiful venue. What could go wrong? As threats come, warning to ruin the special day, more people present their grudges and deeper secrets come to surface, threatening to end the wedding before it even begins.
Overall, the characters have developed stories with backgrounds that connect smoothly. The plot seems cohesive most of the time, although feels rushed in moments, almost seemingly to wrap things in a perfect bow when it may not have been achievable as easily otherwise.
In all, this thriller was intriguing until the end!
Adele and Jason’s family and friends have gathered to celebrate their wedding. However, it quickly becomes apparent that not everyone is excited for the couple. I love a good wedding thriller and this one was engaging with a good twist. Thanks to NetGalley and Aria & Aries for the ARC.

I loved the premise of this book and setting it at a wedding leading up to a mysterious murder kept me intrigued! Certain aspects felt fairly predictable while others I definitely didn’t see coming. I liked how most of the characters had a touch of the dark side in them, it felt more realistic to what most people are really like. I would recommend if you like psychological thrillers and mysteries set at a wedding!
accidentally submitted a review for a different ARC!
This is my current read and will review ASAP 🫶🏼
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this advanced copy. i love the premise and the dual timelines. It was kind of slow going, and I did predict what was going to happen. A very quick read.
This thriller is about friends and secrets and coming of age. The setting is a beach community where all the characters lives are intertwined, the parents and the children, the neighbors and relatives. There were parts I enjoyed but the story had too many characters and to much back and forth to really connect with any of them. I also felt like the story got more unrealistic the farther into the book I got. I did like the wedding theme but the bride Adele was anything but likeable and the groom Jason was a regular asshole. The story is told in two different timelines and from multiple character POV’s . The story dragged for me and when I finally finished it, the ending fell flat. It wasn’t a terrible read, but there are so many good thrillers out there. I felt like this one was kind of wasted on me . Thank you, Callie for the digital copy 3⭐️( and I think that I’m being generous)
This one was slow to get into, and I didn't love the author's foreshadowing at the end of every chapter of all the secrets to be revealed. The second half got better and the pacing picked up some. Adele's chapters were interesting and you never really knew if you could trust her or not. Most of the twists were predictable or hinted at, so nothing was overly shocking and not everything was completely explained.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the copy. The Wedding Party is told in three different perspectives. They are the bride Adele, the mother of Adele’s childhood boyfriend Melanie, and the boyfriend’s sister Sophie. Sophie’s perspective is told in the past when a tragedy happened while Adele’s and Melanie’s perspectives are spread over a few days before and after the wedding. I had a difficult time staying engaged with the story. I found myself not really caring about the characters or the story line. The twists were predictable to me.
“A group of old friends. A grieving mother. A lying bride.”
This was an engaging book full of drama and secrets! I was definitley intrigued and interested to see how it would all pan out.
I enjoyed getting the multiple POVs. You will hate everyone in this book, but in a way that you should and makes the book good as you don’t know who to trust. The whole book takes place only within a few days, but with flashbacks to 12 years prior too.
It is a bit of a slow burn with the action ramping up towards the end on the wedding day- I wish some of it would’ve started a little sooner.
Overall enjoyed this book!
Domestic thrillers are some of my favorites, especially with multiple POVs. Adele is getting married, but it seems like something is off. The story is told through the wedding weekend & there are lots of twists. Overall, predictable, but it was a good time.
Of course, everyone has their secrets they’re keeping! This was a quick and thrilling read!! Totally enjoyed and worth the read!!
Thank you NetGalley for the advanced reader’s copy!!’
I enjoyed this book, it was full of lies, deceit, and tension!
It was fun and a quick easy read.
Everyone has secrets and the past is coming back to haunt them.
I would definitely recommend this to people.

Thank you NetGalley! I always enjoy a good wedding with drama. The switching between characters as well as past and present amped up the suspense. I didn’t not see where the plot was going
