FUN! FUN! FUN! This is just what I needed and Pippa Grant certainly delivered it all to me with an amazing narration team! Tinsel is the kind of town I want to live in. Christmas all year round, with hot chocolate and even fake snow. But Amanda doesn't want to move back. She has been summoned to come back and take over her grandmother's bakery, and it's the last thing she wants. So what does she do? She makes up a lie, one so big, it will be a miracle if anyone believes her. Dane is the main character in her lie, the one man that if Amanda was to marry, her family would be up in arms. The two families have hated each other forever, and now with the chance of this possibly coming to an end with the "marriage", he goes along with the lie. But what happens next? History, high school crushes, a holiday in Tinsel and a family that needs to get with the program comes to a head in this fun, Hallmark with spice feeling story. I loved every minute of this one. It's a happy, heart warming story and is perfect for a weekend listen!

Narrated by Connor Crais and CJ Bloom, it could not have been a better listen. Crais pulls out that charismatic sound that I love. He makes each scene impossible not to fall in love with Dane! CJ Bloom plays the quirky dog walking Amanda. I love her spunk and passion, and Bloom gives her all the feels. This is a fabulous team and made the story fly by!

This is such a cute Hallmark-like rom-com that takes place in a holiday-themed town called Tinsel. Yes, there are two feuding families that bring about a Romeo & Juliet vibe but this is more of a fun small town, fake dating romance that has a family mystery woven throughout. There are fighting grandparents, a lazy dog, gingerbread & fruit cake hijinks and it wouldn't be a Pippa Grant book without some spice. Our MCs, Dane & Amanda, have a bit of an opposite attracts vibe going on which creates a fun dynamic.

Is this my favorite Pippa Grant book? No, but it's a fun read nonetheless. You're still going to chuckle at some of the antics, start to be invested in these characters, and cheer on for the inevitable HEA. And it comes just in time for this holiday season.

🎧 I listened to this one and the narration by Connor Crais & CJ Bloom is 10 out of 10, perfect. I love both these narrators and as always, they knock it out of the park. I definitely recommend listening to this one as, for me, it greatly enhanced the story.

The Fake Wedding Project centres around two feuding families with one from each deciding to fake an engagement to each other, in order to bring their families together over the Christmas period. Pippa Grant's books are always so much fun. Couple this with festive vibes, sizzling chemistry and witty banter and you have the making of a book that will leave you smiling throughout.

I listened to the audiobook narration of this one and loved it.

This fun little romcom set in a small town called Tinsel, where it's Christmas all year, was a fun play on Romeo and Juliette.

This generations long family feud between the family who makes gingerbread and the family that makes fruit cake is wearing on the younger generation. They don't want to hate one another and in fact are secretly friends.

That's when our MCs decide to get fake engaged and are determined to get to the bottom of why their families have been feuding for so long in the first place since no one seems to remember. They hope their engagement will bring the two families together and get over their problems.

This was such a fun read! There were several moments that had me giggling and the side characters were fantastic! A grumpy old grandma who keeps faking heart attacks when she doesn't get her way? Tell me that's not the epitome of small town energy.

The MCs were great together. The MMC had a crush on the FMC since they were kids, but she was the popular girl, he was the nerdy boy, and to top it off, their families hated each other.

I'm a sucker for a book with a dog as a side character and omg this one was perfect - just the laziest boi. I also loved that we got a chapter from his POV as a bonus epilogue!

I always enjoy listening to Connor Crais and CJ Bloom. They are both very talented narrators that help me get immersed in a story and always nail the punch line in humours moments.

Thank you to Brilliance Audio and NetGalley for the ALC!

This audiobook is a lovely, heartwarming listen that delves into the lives of two characters bound by their shared goal of securing the best for their families. The narrative skillfully weaves together themes of secrets and selflessness, creating a touching story perfect for any time of year, but especially charming as a "Christmas in July" tale. The narrator's delivery enhances the story's warmth and emotional depth, making it a delightful escape and a reminder of the importance of family and kindness.

What an amazingly refreshing take on the fake relationship trope!
In a moment of panic Amanda tells her Grandma that she’s engaged, and chooses Dane to be the one. Seems like fun, right? Well, not so much - her and Dane’s families are locked in a generations old dreadful feud and cannot stand each other. They own competing businesses in a picturesque Christmas themed town of Tinsel, and both our protagonists are in town to celebrate their respective families milestones. Perhaps their pretend relationship can put an end to the feud? What could possibly go wrong?
In true Pippa fashion, what ensues is the perfect combination of hilarious, loving, swoony, tender, laugh-out loud and steamy story telling goodness, that allows us to accompany our couple on their journey to HEA.
The narration by Connor Crais and CJ Bloom is phenomenal, they bring the story alive, and allow you to immerse yourself in the story, as if you were part of it.
The Fake Wedding Project is jam packed with everything a romcom reader could ever dare to dream of, and I cannot recommend it enough - a definite must listen or read!
