Dane Silver and Amanda Anderson have history. Sure they went to high school together but it goes back way further than that. Their families have been in nasty battle for as long as anyone can remember. They’re both important parts of the town of Tinsel’s holiday magic - the Silvers own a fruit cake company and the Andersons own a gingerbread company. They’re natural rivals! Amanda and Dane are sick and tired of hearing about it - and Amanda decides to do something to change it. She hatches a plan to try to bring the families together and end the feud - by faking an engagement to Dane. He’s more than happy to go along with it, since he’s always had a huge crush on Amanda, and she also happens to be his sister’s secret best friend. But will they take things to far, trying both to end the feud and figure out what started it all those years back?
This was a really great audiobook! I enjoyed the MMC narration more than the FMC but that’s completely just me! The story was really fun. The feud is obviously ridiculous but weird enough to work, if that makes sense? It’s set in the summer but the town is Christmas-y year round, so this could be a fun read any time of year. If you like fake dating and banter, you’ll enjoy this one!

Thank you so much to Hambright PR for the opportunity to read this book and the ALC!
This was labeled as a Romeo & Juliet Hallmark Christmas movie and I totally could see this being a movie (wouldn't it be something if we could get some spicy scenes on tv)! It has everything you look for in those movies, heart, love, rival families and somehow in the end they all make up. I love that this book took place in a town call Tinsel and that it has Christmas all year long!
This was such a cute book! Dane and Amanda were childhood friends and Amanda thought of having a fake dating relationship in hopes that it would bring the two families back together and so she . No one knows why the families are supposed to hate each other but Amanda was destined to figure out how/why this is even happening. Dane always had a crush on Amanda so he went along with it because if this was his way of getting to spend time with her.
The book takes place over a short amount of time leading up to the couple's fake wedding but just like with any fake dating book, feelings between the two start to blur and neither of them want to call off the wedding.
The narrators for the audiobook Connor Crais and CJ Bloom were so good! Connor's voice is such a dream for a male character and CJ has such a great voice for a young vibrant woman! It made the listen experience such a breeze and helped move the story along.
Check this book out if you want the Christmasy vibe without it actual being Christmas, fake dating, rival families and a dash of baking!

This was the cutest, spicy holiday rom-com, and I loved every minute of it!

Nobody knows why the Andersons Silvers have been in a family feud in their small town of Tinsel for years. But when Amanda tells her grandmother that she is engaged to Dane to get out of running the family's gingerbread business, he happily agrees because he has crushed on Amanda since high school. The couple vow to convince their families to put aside their feud and come together for their fake wedding. As the wedding grows nearer, they start to investigate why the family even started to dislike each other in the first place.
This holiday themed town, forced proximity romance is the perfect read to get you into the Christmas spirit! The narrators of this audioboook were absolutely perfect!

This was a Romeo and Juliet, Fake Engagement, Grumpy Sunshine, Christmas-Year-Round good time! I had so much fun listening to this audiobook. I loved Amanda and Dane together. They were so drawn to each and were both constantly trying to decide if the connection they had was fake or real. I love how they were completely opposite yet kept finding that they wanted all the same things. Something that REALLY stood out to me was that while fake dating, they were trying to uncover why the family feud had started. I was so invested in them figuring out what had gone wrong. This small town was full of so many fun characters and I was totally hooked on them by the end.

Connor Crais and CJ Bloom were incredible in this audiobook!! CJ Bloom was the epitome of sunshine. She was such a perfect fit for Amanda. Connor is one of my favorite male narrators and he did not disappoint as Dane. He had me swooning right from the beginning and I loved his grumpy, protective, but soft on the inside vibes so much. If you like audiobooks, you'll love listening to this one!
Thank you so much to Pippa Grant, Netgalley, and Hambright PR for this gifted ARC and ALC.

This was such a fun and quick Romeo & Juliet-inspired read! As someone who loves complex family dynamics, this was full of dramatic grandparents and familial expectations. Dane and Amanda’s feuding families added not only the drama but a mystery as to why they have been feuding for decades.
I love Dane and Amanda’s dedication to uniting their families and ending the feud. Their chemistry and care for each other leaped off the page. The town rallying behind their relationship was so incredibly heartwarming and made me want to live in this adorable year-round Christmas town.
If you’re an audio girlie, the narrators CJ Bloom and Connor Crais were so enjoyable to listen to!

I enjoyed this story but compared to some of Pippa’s other titles I struggled to fully connect with the story. It was still a cute read, just not my favorite.

I loved this fake dating story and the story between the two families. I am a big Christmas person so I loved the Christmas aspect and seeing a family reconcile was great. The family feud is ridiculous and just made me laugh at how silly they were. It was also fun that Amanda was secret best friends with Dane sister when they were in school and I also loved that they no longer had to hide their friendship.

Ahh, I had zero expectations going into this book (I did not know what it was about!) and I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED it!! I actually wanted to be transported into the pages of this book and befriend all the characters. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to scream and hug everyone. It was an emotional rollercoaster and I enjoyed every second of it.
The Anderson and Silver families have been enemies since the beginning of time. Which puts a damper on the spirit of their Christmas themed town. When Amanda announces her engagement (fake) to Dane, from warring families, what could go wrong? Especially when Dane had a huge crush on his sisters (hidden) best friend in high school...
Honestly, if you are looking for an adorable, quick read, don't miss this one!
Thank you Netgalley for my advanced reader copy.

This was such a fun, feel-good romance and exactly what I needed. I am OBSESSED with the fake dating trope; there's just something about characters not knowing what is real and fake and being confused about their growing feelings that tears at my heartstrings.
In this book, the main couple pretends to be engaged and prepares a wedding as a way of fixing a decades-long feud between their two families. And it takes place in a lovely town that celebrates Christmas all year.
I loved the background of the family feud and how ridiculous all of the family members were. I couldn't stop laughing at their antics. I also loved the main couple's dynamic and how supportive they were with each other. I had an amazing time listening to the audiobook (the narrators were incredible) and it gently prepared me for the holiday season.

The Fake Wedding Project was such an enjoyable read. This Christmas small-town, fake engagement, forced proximity, best friends brother, Romeo and Juliet inspired romance, follows Amanda and Dane who fake an engagement with the hopes of getting both their waring families to end their generations long feud and bring them together.
It was a cute, entertaining read that gave us Christmas vibes, family drama, mystery, and romance and I loved it.
Amanda and Dane were a great couple who had wonderful chemistry and I enjoyed seeing them navigate their fake relationship. As the story progressed, what was fake slowly became real, making the story even more adorable. This was an enjoyable tale and I would definitely recommend it.

Thanks to Hambright PR I was fortunate to listen to the Audiobook which was narrated by Connor Crais and CJ Bloom. They did a wonderful job bringing out the emotions of the characters showcasing their frustration with the feud and the their growing feelings for each other. Their voices were clear and understandable and they brought the characters to life. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

Oh my gosh this book ! What I wouldn’t give to live in a Christmas themed town lol ! This was like watching a hallmark movie with a so many funny things happening , We have Amanda who is from Tinsel and we have Dane who is also from Tinsel they have a situation where they get themselves fake engaged , The news of the engagement comes to quite a shock to their families who let’s say don’t exactly get along lol ! Everyone has to read this book ! lovee this audio book it was pure perfection.

This was such a cute story. In tinsel, Michigan, there are two families. The ones that own the Gingerbread business, and the ones that own the fruit cake business. And they HATE each other. But no one knows why. So Dane and Amanda decide they’re going to put an end to it by getting (fake) married. But… does it stay fake?? And will their scheme be enough to end this generations long feud?
If you’re someone who loves to put Christmas decorations up as early as you can but you fight it because you don’t want to be judged, this one is for your Christmas loving soul.
I love Pippa Grant’s writing. I always know what to expect. Great humor, and swoony MMC with a dirty mouth and a feisty FMC, a cute furry friend, and a hint of drama.
This was narrated by CJ Bloom and Connor Crais and they knocked it out of the park - as per usual. These are two of my favorite narrators, and they really brought the hilarious banter to life. I hated to have to pause this book to participate in real life again 😂.
Highly recommend this book at any time of year for some festive fun!

Dane and Amanda have known each other their whole lives, but a stupid family feud has always prevented them from really knowing each other. That is until Amanda tell her family that Dane is her fiancé so she hopefully doesn’t have to inherit the family business. Instead of being mad Dane wants to use their fake engagement to end the family feud once and for all. He just doesn’t plan to fall in love.
These two were adorable together. I adored both Dana and Amanda separately and together, and of course the banter and cute fake dates as they tried to deal with their families.
This had just the right amount of spice and pining and witty banter and I loved every moment.
I listed to this one and honestly Connor Crais could say anything and o would melt into a puddle on the floor, but this he absolutely nailed!
Plus the epilogue from Chilly the dog is my favorite thing I ever listened too because I was cackling.

This the everything that makes Pippa grant a must-read author for me. Scorching hot chemistry, a funny but bit over the top premise, and some rather ridiculous family members. Pippa reminds us that when love wins, the world is a better place. Conner Crais and CJ Bloom are phenomenal and absolutely add to value of enjoyment of the book.

This was my first book by Pippa Grant and it was adorable. I love a fake dating story, so I knew this would be right up my alley. This could be read anytime of year, but the town is a Christmas town so it’s perfect for the holiday season. I loved the characters and the storyline. Very modern day Romeo and Juliet meet fake dating. This was realistic spice which was great for me, I do wish there were more spicy moments. I really enjoyed the narrators of this book and it was a quick read/listen for me! I will definitely be picking up more of her books!

Back in their small hometown of Tinsel, Michigan for their grandparents anniversary parties, Amanda & Dane fake being engaged. Each a descendent from rival families, Amanda hopes news of the engagement will discourage her grandmother from passing down the family business to her. Dane hopes news of their impending nuptials will unify their families and bring peace to the town. What they didn’t count on was as the town to rally & change their “planned” elopement to Vegas the following month to an impromptu ceremony the following week.
This was as SO FUN! I loved the Christmas adjacent aspect of a small town known for their year round Christmas cheer. The fake engagement brought everything I love about the trope - the forced proximity because of course an engaged couple would stay together under the same roof. The forced intimacy & public displays of affection. The mutual attraction that inevitably burns over when no one is watching. SWOON 🫠🫠
I loved the opportunity to listen to The Fake Wedding Project on audio. It’s narrated by CJ Bloom & Connor Crais, two voices I’ve come to love over the years. Coming in at just under 300 pages & just over 7.5 hours on audio, add this to the list of Christmas romances you could easily binge.

This was such fun read! It’s a Hallmark Christmas Romance but set in the summer and add a little bit of spice!! The cutest Hallmark style Christmas obsessed small town is the setting of this romance with a great cast of characters!
This fake dating romance will melt your entire heart and get you in the mood for Christmas without be over the top for this time of year! Kind of the perfect median!

I LOVE Pippa Grant books!! And this one was like reading a Romeo and Juliet Hallmark movie set in a town where it’s always Christmas! But instead of dual suicide, there was fake dating and pure perfection.
For her whole life, Amanda has had to hide her friendship with Lorelai, due to the massive hatred between their families. So when she falls (literally) back into Dane's life, with the confession that she told her family they were engaged, he jumps right in due to his lifelong secret crush on Amanda.
What ensues is so sweet, the whole premise of the fake engagement being to unite their families and convince them to let go of their generations old rivalry, that no one can seem to remember the origin of.
Was the plot predictable? Of course. But that's why we love romance books like this. It was still so fun to watch Amanda and Dane realize there was more growing between them than friendship, and all the steamy, spicy moments along the journey!
I loved this sweet, swoony, steamy book so very much!!

"I want you. Here. You. Me. Just us. No audience. No show. I want you."
Yes. All of the yes.
"I'm all yours."
Never— ever— have I said that to a man. But I mean it.

Pippa Grant certainly knows how to write a rom-com. This book was charming and funny from beginning to end (don't even get me started on that bonus epilogue).
Amanda returns to her small hometown (which happens to celebrate Christmas year-round) and convinces her best friend's brother (who's always had a crush on her) to be her fake fiance to finally end their families' feud. Yes, it's a modern-day Romeo and Juliet.
The story includes solving family mysteries, the laziest dog, and the whole town participating in wedding planning.
I also love CJ and Connor; their narration was perfect, as usual.
Thanks to Brilliance Publishing for the early copy.

“The Fake Wedding Project” is an absolute delight! This charming story has a fun Romeo and Juliet vibe, complete with a quirky town named Tinsel. The best part? One feuding family runs a gingerbread bakery year-round, while the other makes fruitcake. The feud has lasted for generations, and no one even remembers why!
When Amanda and Dane both return to town for their grandparents' anniversary parties, they come up with a bold plan: fake an engagement to try and end the silly feud once and for all. Amanda has been best friends with Dane's sister, Lorelei, since childhood, but they've always had to keep it secret because of their families' rivalry. Now, they’ve had enough and are determined to stop it.
Amanda is fierce, standing up to Dane’s family, but struggles with the idea of telling her grandmother she doesn't want to inherit the family bakery. She's pursuing her real dream: revamping a New York theatre and producing her own play. Dane has been avoiding his hometown and his family’s negative talk about Amanda's side, but being back brings up old feelings for the girl he crushed on in high school. Maybe their fake engagement could turn into something real—if he can convince Amanda to take a chance.
If you love the best friend’s older brother trope, fake engagements, weddings planned in a week, and a cozy cabin with only one bed, then this book is perfect for you. And the bonus epilogue from Chili the lazy dog’s point of view? It’s hilarious and such a fun way to wrap up the story!
🎧Connor Crais and CJ Bloom delivered an outstanding performance in “The Fake Wedding Project”. They really brought the characters to life, capturing every emotion perfectly. Connor’s portrayal of Dane highlighted his deep affection for Amanda, and the chemistry between them was fantastic from the start. The quirky family interactions were made even funnier by their lively narration. Connor’s performance as Chili the dog in the epilogue was pure comedic genius. Both narrators also did a great job conveying the emotional connection and growing attraction between Amanda and Dane, making this audiobook a truly enjoyable experience!
