I loved this book so much! It was so cute! It's best described as a Romeo and Juliet meets Hallmark Christmas movie about star crossed nonlovers that are caught up in a fake romance that will change their lives forever. Dane is visiting his family for a short time, but is pulled into a fake engagement with his secret high school crush, Amanda. She announces they're engaged and Dane can't help but play along in the farce.

Dane and Amanda's story gave me all the butterflies and had me gushing over them. Dane was so adorable when it came to Amanda. He took interest in the things she loved doing while also learning more about her as a person. Amanda was so relatable. It was easy to connect to her character. Her struggling with finding her own career path and not wanting to disappoint her family was so honest and real. The tensions and supposed rivalry with the Silvers and Andersons was very reminiscent of the Montagues and Capulets.

As for the audiobook narration, it was fantastic! Performed in dual narration by Connor Crais and CJ Bloom. These two gave a wonderful performance. Connor conveyed Dane with so much charm and overprotectiveness for Amanda. CJ conveyed Amanda with a lighthearted tone despite Amanda trying to keep her calm with the family drama and fake engagement. Overall, this story was perfect for the festive vibes and the romance was chef's kiss. Easily a fave! Highly recommend the audio!

I thought this was a fun rom-com! I enjoyed both narrators. I love audio that has a narrator for each PoV. I also thought the play on Romeo and Juliet was well done. The feuding families in a holiday themed town added so much fun, humor and mystery to the story.
Definitely recommend this enjoyable tale. Thank you to Hambright PR for the opportunity to read and advanced copy via NetGalley, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

In the mood for some hallmark after dark? Because this gave off all the vibes and definitely put me in the holiday spirit. It is absolutely adorable, and had me laughing out loud the whole way through. A family feud spanning generations wreaks havoc in a small town - Tinsel, Michigan. The youngest generation has had enough and two of them decide the only way to end it is with a fake engagement.
Dane and Amanda are so fun, and I loved their chemistry, ambitions, and all the silliness that came with their situationship. I was living for the family shenanigans and Amanda’s dramatic grandmother. And OMG the bonus epilogue from Chili the dog’s perspective 🤣🤣 I was dying, it’s hilarious. Chili is a whole personality throughout the story, you don’t want to miss out on him.

The audiobook is narrated by Connor Crais and CJ Bloom, so naturally, I couldn’t pass up a chance to listen. It was as amazing as you’d expect if you’re familiar with these two. Connor’s voice made for the perfect cinnamon roll hero, and CJ added so much personality to Amanda. I loved it and highly recommend!

💭Imagine Romeo and Juliet but with way less tragedy and a whole lot more holiday cheer. The Fake Wedding Project is a sweet, cozy romance with all the warmth of a Hallmark movie and a dash of forbidden love, mutual pining, and petty family feud.

✅What makes this book so heartwarming is how their "fake" feelings start to feel a little too real. Dane’s been secretly crushing on Amanda for ages, and the more they play the part of an engaged couple, the more their emotions get tangled up. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and you can’t help but root for them as they navigate their growing feelings while trying to keep up the charade.

✅The festive backdrop and charming small-town vibes give the whole story that cozy, holiday feel. It's the kind of book that just makes you feel good inside, and even though you know exactly how things will turn out (in the best way possible), you’ll still be flipping the pages, eager to see Amanda and Dane get their well-deserved happily ever after.

✨In short, this is a fun, feel-good read that’s perfect for curling up with during the holidays. It’s got romance, humor, and all the steam you could ask for!

Connor and Carly once again deliver a fantastic performance in this audiobook. As seasoned narrators, they bring so much emotion and depth to the characters, making the story come alive. If you’re a fan of their previous work, you won’t be disappointed – they’ve definitely brought their A-game to this one!

This is the perfect holiday romance that starts as feuding families, enemies to lovers, along with a fake love story and turns into truths, forgiveness, and a happily ever after. I enjoyed the fun characters, the smalltown setting, the town name of Tinsel, and the Romeo and Juliet vibe in this novel. I listened to the audiobook and Connor Crais and CJ Bloom are fantastic as the narrators and really brought the story to life.

"I'm tired of avoiding her. I'm tired of resisting her. I'm not tired of wanting her."

"I like dog people almost as much as I like dogs."

Listening to the adorably sweet sexy The Fake Wedding Project by, does it right, RomCom author Pippa Grant, brought the holiday cheer early. Having it performed by the perfection that is voice actor Connor Crais and C.J. Bloom AKA Carly Robins is the tinsel on top of the Christmas tree.

The last thing Dane expects is Amanda, his secret high school crush from years ago, to burst into his home announcing they are engaged now.

Amanda's Grandma is retiring and assumes Amanda will take over her bakery. They don't respect her professional dog walking job in NY. She hopes telling them she's marrying Dane, whose family is arch enemies with her family, would make them send her back to NY.

Why are their families in a feud that rivals the Capulets and Montagues of Romeo and Juliet? No one really remembers. Dane is fed up with the petty fighting and plans to not visit from California anymore.

Oh did I mention that this RomCom takes place in the small town of Tinsel, Michigan; where it's Christmas all year long? Santa's there all the time, the shops have all the decorations up, and fruitcakes and gingerbreads are baking everyday. The town is a special character all by itself.

Then there's Chili, Dane's dog, who needs his own book. The last chapter is a treat for dog lovers. As for the romance, well the attraction is as sparkling as tinsel, the slow burn steam is like pulsating lights bursting with color and these friends are merry lovers. There's nothing fake about the joy in The Fake Wedding Project.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from Hambright_PR & Brilliance Audio via #NetGalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

I love, love, LOVE me a Romeo and Juliet trope and I feel like I don’t read them enough!

Amanda literally breaks into Dane’s apartment with a dilemma: her grandmother has told her that she is next in line to inherit her bakery.

She panics and tells her grandmother that she is engaged to a silver, their rival family, to try to get out of it.

Amanda loves living in the city. Not that she doesn’t love her small-town Tinsel, she just feels her calling is in New York, with her dog-sitting and the play which she just wrote.

She’s in luck, because Dane loves his life in California and hates the generations-long family feud.

So they make a pact: go through with this fake engagement and end the hatred between these families once-and-for-all.

I loved that this had a Christmas-in-July feel, it was perfect timing to get me excited for the holidays!

Dane and Amanda prove that love, even if it is fake at first, can conquer all and settle all feuds.

Oh, and the epilogue narrated by Chili is the best thing EVER!!!

What a fun, updated and refreshing take on the fated love story of Romeo and Juliet. Dane and Amanda find themselves back in their hometown and in a fake engagement wrought with hilarious and heartwarming mishaps—all try to end the feud that has been going on between their family for generations. I was pleasantly surprised at the holiday references in this book-from town to the shop names and events. A sweet, adorable romcom with some spice (told in a first person dual POV, with the exception of the bonus epilogue told in Chili’s POV-the best dog ever), this is a lighthearted read perfect for the holidays. I was able to tandem read and listen for the best experience: Connor Clais and CJ Bloom did an excellent job with Dane and Amanda’s characters, their emotional prosody was spot on.

The audiobook by CJ Bloom and Connor Crais was amazing! They really brought the characters to life! These two are becoming my favorite duo!

“But break the family feud? And by pretending to be madly in love? That. Is. So. Hot.”

For as long as anyone can remember the Silvers and the Andersons have been enemies. Almost everyone in town have stories about breaking up some kind of fight between the two families. What no one knows is how the feud started. Amanda and Dane are both tired of the their families and their feuding so they agreed to fake an engagement. What better way to end to feud than by merging their families?

Dane has always had a crush on Amanda growing up. But not only was she technically the enemy, she’s also her sister’s secret BFF so completely off limits! And now that they’re spending more time together with their fake relationship he’s realizing that the little crush he had is still alive and might be getting more serious.
Amanda is done with the feud and she’s also happy with her life in New York and does not want to move back to Tinsel. She’s never really looked at Dane in any way but her BFFs brother but now that they’re living together, she’s seeing a whole other side to him. And she might just be falling for her fake fiancé.

Small town shenanigans in a Christmas town with two feuding families in a decades long feud of unknown origin. Romeo and Juliet retelling with that Pippa Grant brand of humor equals a fun romcom with swoon and spice!
Such a fun fake dating romance with laugh out loud moments and fun side characters and an adorable lazy dog!

I had so much fun listening to this one! It will give you all of the feels for the holiday season. This story is set in the Christmas-themed town of Tinsel, with a long standing feud between two families who have secret recipes for gingerbread and fruit cake. Amanda and Dane’s chemistry was off the charts, and there were so many cute and sweet moments between them. There were also many laugh out loud moments throughout the book. Add this one to your TBR if you’re looking for a really cute holiday read.

This book was narrated by Connor Crais and CJ Bloom who did a phenomenal job with the audio. They really brought the characters to life. I would definitely recommend the audiobook for this one.

PIPPA GRANT STRIKES AGAIN! I don’t know what I was thinking back in the day when I said I didn’t like her brand of humor becauseshe is glorious!

I loved this story when I read it waaaaaaaay back in the summer (like July) and could not wait for it to release so I could get my hands on the audiobook because … Connor Crais & CJ Bloom!! *heart eyes* and they did not disappoint! But I didn’t have to wait because Hambright PR came to the rescue with an ALC! YAY :)

You can’t not fall in love with a story based in a Christmas town taking place in the middle of the summer! High-jinks and shenanigans abound! Throw in a family feud dating back decades and a fake romance/marriage that is the key to uniting the families and I mean what could possibly go wrong?

Bwaaahahahahahahaha

This story is just as outrageous as you would think, and it is perfection! The romance journey was just so easy that you just can’t help but fall into the story. Any conflict in the storyline was never between our main characters and I appreciated that so much! I mean there wasn’t even a third-act conflict … technically! LOL And the epilogue in Chili’s POV was sooooo much fun!

This audio book was so much fun to listen to! I knew that I was in for a treat when I saw that the narrators were Connor Crais and CJ Bloom. These are two of my favorite narrators, and they really brought all of the fun and romance with their performances.

Amanda and Dane grew up in the small town of Tinsel, which is a town where Christmas lights are up all year round. Their families have been feuding for decades, but no one knows the true origin of the fighting. Amanda makes up a lie that she is engaged to Dane as a way to out of her family obligation to her grandmother. Dane agrees to help her out because he is tired of the feud with their families too.

As Dane and Amanda plan their fake wedding, they both realize that they get along and have fun together. Some of their family members start to come around too. I liked the mystery of the origin of the feud, and I think that it was handled well.

There were so many fun parts of the story. It really brought the laughs and the romance to create an entertaining romcom.

Pippa Grant knocked it out of the park again!
This was such a fun book, as usual.
Grant writes characters you are excited to spend time with, even the animals are well fleshed out!
Chili's bonus chapter was the absolute cutest!
Read this if you like fake dating, slow burns, secret crushes, Hatfield–McCoy vibes, giggling, baked goods and Christmas bits.
I was switching between the ebook and the audio and book so delightful I would not recommend one over the other.
Much love to NetGalley & Brilliance Publishing for my ALC.

The Fake Wedding Project is a fun story with all the cozy Hallmark Christmas in July vibes. Set in a Christmas town called Tinsel, you get a star-crossed friends-to-lovers fake dating situation, feuding families, the perfect book boyfriend, and a heartwarming romance.

Amanda and Dane’s families have been feuding for generations, but no one can really explain why. After Amanda tells her family she and Dane are getting married, Dane decides to play along. Their fake engagement turns into a plan to unite their families.

This is such a fun story! Amanda and Dane have amazing chemistry. I loved the development of their relationship and the shenanigans that ensued. What starts as fake becomes a very real, feel-good romance. The Fake Wedding Project is classic Pippa Grant. It is an easy, fast-paced, steamy read with a great mix of romance, swoony moments, memorable characters, and scenes that make you laugh out loud.

Listening to this audiobook was like watching a movie. They both brought so much personality, emotion, and fun to their characters. CJ and Connor were the perfect duo for this story. The epilogue put a huge smile on my face.

Dane and Amanda's families .. h a t e .. each other and they are not happy when they hear that they are engaged. But it's a fake engagement and Dane and Amanda tackle the family drama head on.

What I absolutely loved about this book is how they both refused to get sucked into petty fights between their elders, and were each other's constant support and cheerleaders. And it was so heartwarming to see them fall in love with each other in the process of planning their fake wedding.

I think this is a perfect Christmas themed read, very light hearted, quirky and hilarious. I listened to the ALC, which was very well done by C J Bloom and Connor Crais. Thanks to @hambright_pr for the ARC and ALC.

Talk about a summer treat with a Christmas twist!
This book was a delightful rom-com that flips the holiday vibe on its head.
When Dane suddenly finds himself pretending to be engaged to his high school crush, Amanda, in their small town, it’s like a Hallmark movie come to life—if Hallmark movies had a dash of spice!

The story zips along at a fun pace, blending humor and chemistry as they navigate their families' drama. I loved how Dane and Amanda discover their real feelings while juggling fake wedding plans, solving a family mystery, and ending a multiple generation family feud!

Plus, the narration by Connor Crais and CJ Bloom really brings the characters to life, making the reading experience even more enjoyable.

There’s no messy breakup to worry about, which is refreshing, and it keeps the focus on their growing bond.

If you're looking for a cute, feel-good read that’ll warm your heart (and maybe make you dream of holiday cheer in July), this one's for you! Perfect for fans of lighthearted romances with a sprinkle of holiday magic.

Love these two narrators so much! Superb audio and as always Pippa nails the banter. I love a good family rivalry. Add in fake dating in a Christmas themed town - what a dynamic. There are so many fantastic characters in this one. They all add so much to the story. But Dane and Amanda, the main characters, both have qualms with their families feuding. They are the perfect people to get to the bottom of the story. Their romance is evident but I loved seeing how it played out. This is the perfect holiday-ish read to transition into the holiday season!

This book has me feeling all the feels and ready for my fave reading season....CHRISTMAS!!! Its a cute hallmark Christmas movie meets Romeo and Juliet romance!

The rivalry between the Andersons and Silvers of Tinsel, Michigan is legendary. So what better way to end this this feud than a fake engagement?!? Am I right?!?

I honestly smiled the entire time through this book. I am such a simp for fake dating and Amanda and Dane were adorable. Although it starts out as a scheme to help the town and end their families feud they inevitably start to catch feelings. We have grouchy grandparents and a mischievous dog to round out our cash and while the family feud was over the top it made this a fun laugh out loud read!
