The Fake Wedding Project
By Pippa Grant
Narrated by Connor Crais and CJ Bloom
This was such a cute story about two feuding families that at this point have no real idea on why they actually hate each other. Dane and Amanda find themselves creating a plan to try to fix their familes long standing hate for each other, for the town and their own sanities. But in that process they actually fall hard for each other.
The narrators did a fantastic job. Connor Crais and CJ bloom bring out all the warm fuzzy feelings of small town Christmas love. They both have such amazing inflections in portraying Dane and Amanda’s emotions. They make audio listening so enjoyable.
If you're looking for a book to get you into the Christmas spirit this book is for you. I loved the detailed world development in this one. The supporting characters were amazing, the strong willed grandmoms were charming in the end, and the mystery of why was also an interesting twist. I would definitely like to see more Tinsel in my future.
Finally I just absolutely adored the epilogue by Chilly that was such a nice touch to this story. He definitely stole the show.
Thank you @pippagrant and @hambright_pr and @netgalley for this alc and ebook in exchange for my honest review.

"The Fake Wedding Project" is my first holiday-themed read of the season, and with the crisp, cool temperatures outside, it has me fully immersed in all the cozy, feel-good vibes! From the very beginning, the humor is spot-on, setting a playful tone that carries effortlessly throughout the entire story. As always, Pippa Grant delivers—she's my go-to author for when I need a fun, heartwarming escape. I’m keeping this review light because I truly believe this is one of those books you should dive into without too much information—the surprise makes it even better! Whether you choose to read or listen, this story is wonderfully crafted and is sure to get you into the perfect holiday romance spirit.

this was a fun little good time!!
in this book, we follow amanda and dane, who are from rivaling families in the small town of tinsel (where it’s christmas year round). the catch is- the families don’t even know why they’re rivaling anymore. amanda and dane have had enough of it- to the point that amanda tells her family she’s engaged to dane… without his knowledge… but, he willingly participates. and it goes on from there!
i had so much fun with this. it was funny, lighthearted, and quick. i enjoyed watching amanda and dane go from havent talked in years to suddenly fake engaged to falling in love 😭🫶 they were there for each other through the whole thing, not even hesitating to play the role perfectly- until it wasn’t acting anymore.
it was fun to watch the town throw together a wedding in a week as well as watching the mystery unfold of why the families are rivaling in the first place.
special shout-out to chili, the laziest dog in the world🤣🫶
the audiobook was great as well! thank you pippa grant & hambright PR for the ALC!

This was such a fun story with a Romeo and Juliet vibe. The fact that it takes place in a small Christmas-y town was the icing on a cake. I found the characters super cute. The feud between the mmc and fmc family was so entertaining. This book had me laughing out loud, I couldn’t out it down. Such a fun and festive book! The audiobook though… it was my fave. The narrators did such a good job bringing this story to life!

Looking for a Cute Christmas rom com to get you in the spirit ?! Look no further!!
There is a long standing family feud between the fruit cake company and the gingerbread bakery. FMC Amanda is set to inherit her family’s bakery and she doesn’t want it, so what better way than to pretend to be engaged to the enemy ?
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have to say that these narrators were perfection. The two of them together brought the story to life and are so so good!

I was expecting a holiday romance. I was delighted to instead find a romance set in a holiday-town in the heat of summer. That setup makes this story an appealing read any time of year.
This book features Amanda and Dane as they embark on a fake relationship in their hometown of Tinsel in an attempt to force an end to their families’ generations of feuding. Of course very real feelings develop in this fake relationship as they always do in romance.
In recent years, author Pippa Grant has become a bit too good at writing some very frustrating family members. The feuding grandmothers made this one hard to read at times. However, the mystery in this one kept me reading — that and, of course, the laughs and happily ever after that are guaranteed in a Pippa Grant romcom.
The narrators did a fantastic job of bringing this story to life!

5 star Review The Fake Wedding Project by Pippa Grant
Ebook/Audio
This was an entertaining book that ticked all the boxes for me. This is Amanda Anderson and Dane Silvers story set in Tinsel, Michigan, a town that celebrates all year round.
I was intrigued when I read this blurb and could not wait to dive in. This book was witty, romantic, and full of characters that you cannot help but fall for.
From the first to the last chapter, I was taken on a journey that was entertaining and well written, with characters who you cannot help but become invested in.
The narration by Connor Crais and CJ Bloom was excellent and they were easy to listen to. They brought the story to life for me that Ms. Grant created.

This is a standalone novel that is set in the town of Tinsel. Pippa Grant gives us a beautifully told story of Dane and Amanda. They have known each other all their lives and get thrown together to pull off a fake engagement in order to break their family's feud Their 2 families have hated each other for so long that no-one even knows whey they hate each other. What Amanda doesn't know is that Dane has had a crush on her since they were in high school. Amanda also has a secret....Can they fake their engagement in order to get their families to forgive each other in one week or will it all blow up and make things worse.
***I listened to this story on audio. The narrators are Connor Crais and CJ Bloom. Both of these performers are favorites of mine. Their narration is always the cream of the crop and both have the talent for the multiple voices in Pippas' books. Their chemistry makes the story beliveable. Their narration is phenomenal and I cannot recommend this audiobook enough
This story was hilarious. From the he crazy antics, to the nutty family and the swoony romance, this is the perfect book to make you forget about all of your problems. I haven't laughed out loud like this in an awhile. Pippa has a great way of telling a funny story and making you believe it is actually happening. Her writing tells the story like a movie. it is so descriptive you can see it all play out in your head.. The side characters always bring another level of fun and just add to the hilarity. I will always recommend Pippa's books and this one is no different. And don't miss the bonus epilogue at the very end. You get a fun scene coming from Chili's point of view that will make you giggle. If you are looking for a book that will just make you smile, this one is for you!

📖 Story review 📖
If you’re a fan of Hallmark Christmas movies, then this book is absolutely for you! With all the feel good vibes of a cozy holiday film, it delivers a delightful mix of heartwarming moments, charm, and silly family antics.
Set in an enchanting little town that radiates all of the Christmas spirit, the story follows Amanda and Dane who are clearly meant for each other, but are adorably oblivious to it at first. Their instant chemistry is undeniable, and as they stumble into romantic mishaps and cozy moments, you can’t help but root for them to fall hopelessly fast and hard.
If you eat up stories where love is as inevitable as snow on Christmas Eve, this book will make you believe in holiday magic all over again!

Connor and CJ truly brought every bit of the Christmas magic on this performance. I loved all of their character voices bringing the whimsy and mischievous side characters to life. Their portrayal of Amanda and Dane were heartfelt and fun, which elevated the story. Truly a heartwarming experience, capturing the essence of the season beautifully where I couldn’t help but embrace the spirit of Christmas.
**These are my own honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.

I loved this book! It has lots of the things I look for in a rom-com; fake dating, characters I like, banter, and as an added bonus it was set in a Christmas town and had an adorable pet. Amanda and Dane's families have been in a feud for generations and no one remembers why. The families own rival businesses, a Gingerbread Shop and a Fruit Cake store, in the Christmas town Tinsel. Can a wedding, even a fake one, between the two families put an end to the feud? I adored Dane and Amanda and the way they were with each other. They had a connection and wanted only the best for the other and this allowed them to be their true selves. There was some spice between them but was a natural part of their growing relationship. I was there for the over the top Christmas kitsch that was Tinsel, it made me smile. Actually this whole book made me smile and I didn't want it to end! But the ending, an epilogue from Chili, the dog, was just the perfect end to this book. The narrators did an excellent job giving voice to the characters and the story. If you are a reader of rom-coms I highly recommend this book.

This book was absolutely charming and gave me all the warm, festive feels! It’s like stepping into a Hallmark Christmas movie. Amanda returns to her hometown and, in a bid to get her family off her back, claims she’s engaged to her childhood friend, Dane. He plays along, and soon their little fib turns into a full-blown town wedding! As they work to bring their feuding families together, real sparks start to fly between them. They don’t confess their true feelings until it’s clear they’re meant to be. The narrators were perfect for these roles, adding just the right amount of holiday cheer and spice to the story. If you’re after a cozy, romantic holiday read with a bit of steam, this one is a must!

This book is genius level hilarious, “…I thought, what would Amanda do, and since I am Amanda, I decided the best thing to do…” I couldn’t get enough of Amanda’s inner and outer monologue and omg Chili is a scene stealer!
This book had me laughing and loving all the crazy cooky-ness of this small town! Amanda and Dane are trying to save their small town from ruin at the hands of their own families. They have to much to accomplish is a week and decide it’s best if they do it together. They come up with one crazy plan but crazy is exactly what’s needed to fix and set everything right again!
The angst is high and the steam isn’t super heavy in this book but the emotional level runs deep! Dane and Amanda take time to get to know each other and I enjoyed their little moments. When the steam did pick up, it was glorious and written to perfection!
The audio is done so beautifully. I loved both narrators. I listen to so many where the male just doesn’t do a good female voice but I enjoyed the male narrator and had no complaints. A very engaging and enjoyable listen!

5/5
The narration was amazing Conner Crais and Cj Bloom did such a great job. Loved both of them always bringing the characters to life.
This book was everything! I was so invested knowing that family feud & how Dane and Amanda try the whole Fake engagement to bring everyone together. Ohh & the Christmas vibes were super cute. Dane and Amanda’s chemistry was amazing & the tension was chief kiss 😘

This was such a fun book! A dash of Christmas cheer, fake dating/a fake engagement and planning a wedding between rival families - The Fake Wedding Project was such a cute book! I loved the narration - it was spot on. And the story flowed beautifully. I highly recommend this one!

General Thoughts: Such a cute book. I was in the mood for a lighthearted, funny, quirky, low-angst romcom. And this one perfectly fits the bill. This is the second book I've read by Pippa Grant, and it definitely won't be the last. This Hallmark Romeo & Juliet book is set in a town that is Christmas year-round. If that doesn't catch your fancy, then I don't know what would.
I enjoyed the antics between the FMC/MMC. It was a really enjoyable, cute read. I can't wait to read more by this author. It was a delight.

I laughed so hard listening to this book. It was such a perfect combination of hilarious banter, swoon, crazy family feuds, holiday cheer and of course some spice.
When Amanda blurts out that she is engaged to Dane, whose family is supposed to be a sworn enemy, a wild ride of fake dating between these two (who definitely don’t hate each other) ensues. Dane agrees to this arrangement to get his family off his back, not to mention Amanda was his high school crush, and Amanda is hoping this will make her lose her inheritance. Most of all, they are hoping to end their families long standing feud. You see, Amanda’s family owns the towns gingerbread bakery and Danes family owns the fruitcake bakery. Of course this little lie quickly snowballs out of control and it’s amazing 😂
I freaking loved these characters and all the Hallmark holiday goodness from their small town. They are perfect for each and had me cracking up over and over. I had so much fun listening to this story and it left me in such a good mood.

This was a very cute and sweet fake engagement romance. In a Romeo and Juliet meets Christmas Hallmark romance, Amanda and Dane are both TRYING to repair the riffs in their families, as well as figure out what the feud even started about. I didn't realize this book would have so many summer Christmas vibes (since the cover doesn't elude to it) but with a town named Tinsel, if was pretty dang cute. And the families are rival bakers - gingerbread versus fruit cake. The romance was cute, but I think all the overarching family drama overshined the romance. Also, I know its needed for the drama...but the immaturity of all these adults in both families was a dash too much for me.
I really enjoyed the audiobook, but thats because I always enjoy hearing CJ Bloom and Connor Crais's voices narrate! Connor's special voice for the extended epilogue may have been my favorite part though 🤣

Audiobook Review
In a small town that celebrates Christmas all year round there’s not much forgiveness going on. Two feuding families have been causing havoc around town for 150 years and raising spiteful hateful children but the feud seems to have skipped a generation. Both Dane and Amanda want nothing to do with the feud, all they want is to live their lives free from judgment and to have a family that is proud of their achievements.
Their unintentional relationship leads to uncovering hidden secrets and changing of some opinions but also to them finding how much they like each other romantically. Their story is sweet and swooning but I missed the funny that we always get with Pippa’s books.
Connor Crais and CJ Bloom gave their absolute best, as usual with these two, to bring Dane and Amanda to life. Great, great performance!

I usually love a fake relationship but I just didn't feel the connection and wasn't invested enough to continue.
