Thanks to NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for access to an earc.
Sooo0 many cookies! The photos are lovely and recipes are both easy to follow and accessible. I don't love the interpretation of the French recipies, (Madeleines and Tarte Tatin in particular) but I'm sure they taste great.
I think this would be a great pre-Christmas treat for someone who wants to expand their Christmas baking.
Detailed and thorough recipes. I would have enjoyed to see more photographs for this recipe collection! I am excited to try the recipes.
Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Christmas Baking Cookbook is a festive delight for anyone who loves to celebrate the season with baked treats. With over 100 recipes, this cookbook has a broad selection of holiday-themed goodies, from classic cookies and cakes to international delicacies. The book is truly beautiful, with stunning photos - I could see this looking great on a coffee table or as a gift for the holidays.
What makes this cookbook stand out is its simplicity. Each recipe is accessible, with easy instructions and common ingredients that I have at home already so I don't have to buy obscure ingredients to make any of the treats. I also love that the book provides a conversion table at the end for ingredients.
Overall, The Christmas Baking Cookbook is a charming and cozy addition to any holiday cookbook collection, filled with beautiful photos and amazing treats for this wonderful season. I think it's perfect for gifting!
I love Christmas 🎄and I love baking 👩🏻🍳 so it's only appropriate that this is my first, "Christmas" book to review this season! I really enjoyed looking through all the recipes. This is definitely a winner of a cookbook.
First off this book is loaded with 100+ recipes that are easy to follow and simple. The accompanying pictures are just beautiful. There are recipes for cookies, cakes, breads, pastries, pies, custards and other specialty desserts. I love that there are some specialty cookies featured from different countries from around the word. I will definitely try the Greek cookie recipes in here and see how they compare to other ones I've made. I'm really excited for that!
I treasure my Christmas cookbooks and this is one that I'd definitely like to add to my collection. I think it would make a great gift for any baker this holiday season 😋🍪🍰🧁🥧
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me review this book. There were some great recipes in here along with photos that went with each recipe; which was nice. There’s several recipes I can’t wait to try.
This is everything I needed for the holiday season. I will be buying for my coffee table to use whenever guests come over. This is so perfect and yummy
As an avid baker, a lover of the holiday season and a cookbook collector, I was supremely happy with this book. From the delightful array of tantalizing recipes to the sinfully enticing photographs, this book is perfect for inspiration or gift giving. The variety of recipes is ample, and I am positive that no matter what you are craving you can find something that will appeal to you.
I love all things Christmas so this holiday baking book was a treat! The photography was great, the pictures really made me want to make every recipe right away! The chewy ginger cookies are already a family favorite, I can’t wait to continue working my way through this cookbook
A breathtakingly beautiful book that celebrates one of the best things about the festive season - food!
My first impression was the sense of cosiness and festivity inspired by this book - photography is absolutely on point. I suspect it is impossible not to pick up this book and feel utter joy!
The book features a whopping 100 recipes for bakes goods. These are categorised according to whether they are: cookies, cakes, breads/breakfasts, pastries, pies/tarts or custards/decadent confections.
Recipes are varied and ingredients appear to be (on the whole), those that can be fairly easily sourced. Measurements are imperial, but helpfully a great conversion table is given at the back of the book. Photography is featured throughout this book to helpfully give us an idea of what our finished products should look like. While Im not sure I will personally be able to recreate such beauty, this book has absolutely inspired me to try. To tantalise some tastebuds I hope to start with the utterly delectable 'Brown Butter Cake'.
My thanks to Netgalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.
Oh, what a festive winter holiday cookbook! I'm always an advocate for a photo along with every recipe and this book didn't disappoint! It included some of the classics along with some very fun pairings that I am excited to give a go these upcoming holidays. I'm ready for the weather to get colder and to start baking for family and friends. These recipes are heaven-sent for the seasonal hosts!
I love Christmas baking and this cookbook was great.
There are so many gorgeous pictures to go along with the fantastic recipes. I don’t even know what to bake first. The directions are easy to follow and the tips are nice as well. I’ll be baking from this book as soon as I can.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.
While I haven't had the chance to make any of these recipes, just perusing them... there are so many good ones. Some classic ones and some that I've never tried nor heard of! I cant wait to try out these cookies this year for our cookie exchange!
This is a wonderful cookbook that I would not hesitate to give as a gift to a well seasoned baker or novice! Photos are beautiful, steps are well defined, and the extra resources (including recipes for basics like pie crust, ganache, etc.) are helpful.
Lots of Christmas candies and cake recipes but a lot of them are unfamiliar to me. I wish there were more pictures and descriptions of the origin and history of the desserts. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for a chance to read and review this book in exchange for an honest review.
Thanks to netgalley and publisher for this arc! Wow I expected like some of the recipes but I honestly liked almost every single one which is very rare for me as I'm a pickier eater and with super taste it's hard for me to eat a lot of things but I have more than half of this cookbook now to try out!! Yum yum yum also the pictures were very pretty and added a lot to this cookbook.
The Christmas Baking Cookbook is an absolute delight for anyone who loves Christmas and baking! This collection offers recipes that are easy to follow and use regular, accessible ingredients—perfect for both seasoned bakers and beginners. The instructions are clear, with each step broken down to make even more advanced recipes approachable.
One of my favorite parts is the focus on baking everything from scratch, like icing or pie crusts, with dedicated recipes within the book. I especially enjoyed the variety of international treats. I’m from Germany so I was thrilled to see Lebkuchen, Pfeffernüsse, and Stollen included! This cookbook is a fantastic way to explore festive traditions from around the world.
The photos are beautiful and inspiring (my favorite was the snowman cookies!) Each one makes you want to get baking immediately, and the whole book is visually appealing and well-organized. There’s even a conversion table at the end, which is incredibly useful for those who work with different measurement units.
Overall, The Christmas Baking Cookbook has everything you could need for holiday baking. It's filled with delicious, inspiring, and festive recipes that will bring the Christmas spirit to your kitchen. Highly recommend for anyone looking to expand their seasonal baking repertoire!
Every holiday season, I look forward to the sweet treats everyone makes. Sometimes things can get repetitive and I’m always looking for something new. This book has so many wonderful recipes! I love there are a selection of gluten free options which can be hard to come by. Some of the recipes I have never heard of before but sound delicious.
I really enjoyed how ma y pictures there were of the final product. Some cookbooks have only a couple of pictures throughout the book. As a visual learner, seeing how the recipes are supposed to look like at the end is so helpful.
