I haven't read a cookbook dedicated to Christmas in a long while and this was a fun read. The Christmas Baking Cookbook has six sections of cookies, cakes, bread and breakfast treats, pastries, pies and tarts, and custards and other decadent confections. Each section has a wide variety of recipes with gorgeous pictures and some are familiar and some are I don't even know how to pronounce! The recipes in this book are well-written and easy to follow, and there are so many to choose from, you'll never get tired of this book! This will make a great Christmas gift for yourself or hostess.

This is a delightful treasure trove of festive treats that will fill your home with holiday cheer. With over 100 beautiful and delicious recipes, this cookbook is absolutely fantastic! The vibrant, mouthwatering pictures make each recipe irresistible and guide you effortlessly through the baking process.
From traditional favorites like perfectly spiced gingerbread cookies and flaky apple pies to modern innovations like eggnog cupcakes and peppermint chocolate tarts, this book covers everything you need for the holidays. There are also creative twists such as cinnamon roll wreaths, cranberry-orange biscotti, and snowflake sugar cookies that are as beautiful as they are delicious.

I absolutely love this cookbook! It has so many delicious recipes, making it hard to choose which one to make next. The recipes are perfect for christmas baking, but also suitable for other moments.
The pictures and lay-out are beautiful. The recipes are easy to understand and execute. There is even a conversion table for people using the metric system and degrees in celsius. The index at the back makes for an easy search-system.
I’d definitely recommend it!

The Christmas Baking Cookbook focuses on unique Christmas treats. I enjoyed how there were classic Christmas treats mixed in with treats from around the world. Although some recipes required specific tools or ingredients that aren't as readily accessible in most households.
The Sections are
cookies
cakes
breads and breakfast treats
pastries
pies and tarts
custards and other decadent confections
Each recipe has yields, active time, total time, ingredients and directions. Most have pictures of the treats. I wish all of the treats had pictures as they looked scrumptious and beautiful.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is an impressive collection of 100 Christmas baking recipes to choose from when preparing sweet treats for Christmas. Many recipes are classics like the gingerbread cakes, the snowman cookies, stollen, panettone and much more. Others have a modern twist, such as the matcha Christmas trees. There is something for every taste, from simple cookies to mouthwatering desserts.
The recipes are well explained and complete. The quantities need to be converted from American standards and the units of measure are not always consistent in the book. Something to keep an eye on, especially for the less experienced bakers. Clearly this is a book of recipes. I would love to know more about the authors and the story behind the recipes. This was something I missed a little.
With its beautiful pictures, the book brings the recipes to life and we can almost smell the delicious spicy aroma of Christmas baking. It is a beautiful book full of inspiration in the run up to Christmas.

Bring it on! Every year, I mark the passing of time with the recipes I make. This cookbook has some scrumptious recipes that will find themselves on our holiday tables- even snuck in throughout the year. I am especially appreciative of the beautiful photos and the clearly explained recipes.
Thank you to NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for the advance copy. All opinions are my own.

They honestly could remove the word Christmas from this title because honestly, this is just the best baking cookbook ever. The recipes are super diverse. I found recipes I haven’t seen since my German grandmother passed away! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This cookbook looks like a great essentials Christmas baking cookbook. It would be a great gift for a young baker in your life, as they could begin to explore some of the more traditional baked treats that define many Christmas celebrations. For the more established cook, this could be a great reference book, especially if you tend to have someone that is always losing the recipes or looks up a new version every year.

The Christmas Baking Cookbook by Editors of Cider Mill Press is a wonderful addition to any holiday kitchen. The cookbook covers everything from cookies to cakes. The recipes are clear and easy to follow and the ingredients easy to find. The accompanying pictures provide inspiration for what your finished product should look like and adds to the festive mood. While I enjoyed a majority of the recipes, you will find that a few of them are more time consuming than anticipated and may require more advanced baking skills, which could be a challenge for some. Overall this book is one I would recommend to both beginner bakers and seasoned ones alike. Bring the magic of Christmas to your kitchen with the addition of this cookbook!

A pretty great cookbook for all sorts of Christmas time baked goods! It's split into several categories, such as Cookies, Cakes, Pies./Tarts, and Other. The recipes are from an assortment of cultures, which is very nice. I was excited to see a recipe for Pferrenusse, as I had a family member recently asked if I could bake some for Christmas. The only small thing that's annoying is that everything is done in weight measurements, not cups. I know that using weight to measure out ingredients such as flour or butter is "more accurate" than using the cups system, but if you don't have a scale you're a bit out of luck for many recipes in this book. The back of the book does have a conversion table, but it's for Imperial to Metric.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review! (less)

❄️🎄🍪A festive celebration of holiday treats! ❄🎄🍪
The smell of fresh baked goods wafting through the house is an integral part of traditional holiday ambience. This cookbook has a lot to offer from your basic sugar cookie to the not so simple chocolate yule log. I felt like the variety of recipes would offer something for every taste. Many will swoon over egg nog cupcakes while chocolate souffles are sure to appeal to the chocoholics. Most ingredients measured are specific to the ounce. This book has everything to make winter baking a snap including instructions for making your own sourdough starter.
Lovely photos and detailed directions make this a cookbook that is sure to get a lot of use.
Thank you to NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for the Advance Readers Copy

The Christmas Baking Cookbook is a beautiful festive cookbook perfect for use every December and perfect to gift people who love baking.
There are some very unique recipes in this book sure to go down a treat such as egg nogg cupcakes, macaroons, and florentines (to name just a few). Each recipe is clearly set out with detailed instructions and a full color photograph to see the end result, too. There's many different recipes to try: breads, cookies, custards, cakes, pies, tarts, pastries, and breakfast treats. I'd say there's many recipes that many will enjoy and definitely something for all tastes. The only thing I wish was included was uk/European measurements as it is only provided in US measurements.

So many awesome recipes. Can't wait to try them all. I tried the Chocolate Chip Cookies. Pecan Pie, and Sweet Potato Pie recipes. As well as the Bread Pudding! I highly recommend!!!
