This was such a good book. I loved the story and the writing so much. The characters were great and the story flowed smoothly. Will definitely read more books by this author in the future.

Important topics as Andi is surrounded by abuse in the family and her career - abusive grandfather, abusive father, working to help domestic violence and sexual assault victims - and although from good intent - ultimately raised by a grandmother who instilled a mistrust of all men, all relationships, and made her feel she needed to be alone and hide herself at all times, which is a different type of abuse and controlling by fear. Important messaging on sexual assault and abuse and in learning to trust.
