I love sports romances so I jumped at this book and it definitely didn’t disappoint it was one of the best sports romance l've read in a long time!
For me, a sports romance needs to have sports actually in it, not just have the main character play.

As far as sports romances go this was one of the better ones I’ve read. Lots of tropes present (not a bad thing at all!) love the grumpy to sunshine and Nolan and Lottie were cute together. Great balance of romance and humour and the steam was on point. Thanks netgalley and the publisher for this read.

* I want to start by thanking the author and publisher for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. this was okay. Not my favorite. Really cheesy

I was hooked from the very beginning. The longing and emotions that came out felt familiar and relatable making me feel even more invested in the story. Both protagonists and the side characters are emotionally mature and insightful which is refreshing to say the least. This book touches on the balance fought for between a happy life and a healthy career in a light and clever way without being preachy.
Full of steamy romance and heartfelt moments alongside dealing with past traumas and the journey to healing them, it's just such a great heartwarming book. Loved it.

Really good live story! I didn’t want to put it down!
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for my copy

I absolutely devoured this - Nolan and Lottie are so sweet and I was so happy to finally read their story!
I can’t wait to read more books in this series too, Ally Wiegand is such a gem.
Thank you so much to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the arc. 🫶🏻

4.25/5 ⭐️ book 2 in the Chicago Heartbreakers series and I really hope there is more!!
Nolan and Lotties love story was a joy to read and I couldn’t put it down.
Definitely recommend this book and series!!

This was a really delightful sports romance, I loved the plot and the chemistry between are two leads was electrifying.

Another fun easy romance book to add to my rotation and it has football in so that is always a bonus.

As good as the first one. The writing is immaculate, the plot, the vibe, everything.
Lottie is so smart, so cute and so likeable. Her relationship with Nolan is so cute and relatable. There's a real alchemy.

The Chicago heartbreakers may be one of my favourite book series. !
I was such a big fan of the first one in the series and when i got this one as an Arc I was so excited. This book honestly did not disappoint.
The two main characters Nolan and Lottie were made for each other. From the very first moment they met I knew then and there that this may be one of my favourite book couples. I could tell from the very first chapter that this book was going to give me all the emotions. I enjoyed the team as the side characters and enjoyed the aspect of seeing them as one big family. I also loved that the books are slightly connected with the appearance of the couple Maggie and Tommy from the first book.
I really enjoyed this book and if you are ever looking for a sports romance then look no further. Going For Two is cute and will make you laugh out loud. You will not want to put this down.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series !
*Thank you to Embla Books and NetGalley for providing me this arc in return for an honest review*

"Going For Two" delivers a delightful grumpy sunshine romance filled with tension and chemistry. Lottie Thompson, a determined physio, is unimpressed by the legendary quarterback Nolan Hill's charm and stubbornness. Their initial rivalry sparks when they strike a deal: his commitment to rehab in exchange for helping her fulfill a bucket list. As their professional partnership intensifies, so does the undeniable attraction between them. Ally Wiegand expertly balances humor and steamy moments, making for an engaging read. With strong character dynamics and a fresh take on sports romance, this story is a perfect blend of competition and heart!

The second book in any series always has a lot to live up to. Lots of expectations about old and new characters. This book succeeds in all these aspects in a spectacular way! I really enjoyed the first book in this series and I liked this one just as much, maybe even more! The angst and tension between the two main characters made them work really hard for the HEA. The FMC's past relationships and the MMCs insecurities about the future makes the character growth a necessity for them to come together, and you know how I love character growth! Great work Ally and I can't wait to see who is next in the series!
Big thanks to Netgalley, Embla books and Ally Weigand for a copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.

The second book in the Chicago Heartbreakers series follows Lottie and Nolan's journey through American Football. The blend of romance and sports is captivating, with the two main characters sparking chemistry from the beginning. It was also delightful to see characters from the first book make appearances. My gratitude to Net Galley for the advance copy.

The story of Nolan and Lottie. She is the new physio for his team, but will he listen to her advice to help him finish off the season? I liked how it was told from both points of view and how it highlights how much harder women need to work to get noticed in some roles.

GOING FOR TWO- ALLY
WIEGAND - ARG
I was so shocked to find out this was Lotties story and not Olivia's! But I loved that it was a football story! I love how Ally has mixed the teams and made them all friends!
Lottie is such a grown up and has been solely focused on her career so her friend and sister make her a list of things she needs to do - a bucket list of sorts!
Nolan is about to retire but his last year has been plagued by injuries and he's so scared it won't end the way he wants and he terrified of what the future holds!
Can they both help each other face the future and find peace?
Can't wait for the next book to see if Olivia gets her happy ending!

The second installment of the Chicago Heartbreakers, this story follows Lottie and Nolan through American Football. I enjoyed the intertwining aspect of romance and sport, the two main characters sizzle from the start! It was great to see characters from the first book pop up too. Although I didn't enjoy this much as I did the first one, it was an enjoyable escapism. Thanks to Net Galley for the advanced copy

This book was such a brilliant follow up from ally wiegand first book. I don't know what it is about a sport romance and makes for such a good romance but it really does. I loved the chemistry between these two and how they made each other better..
I loved that the characters had their own struggles.
Definitely looking forward to reading more from ally wiegand

This was my first book by this author.
I love a good sport romance.
This story had me kicking my feet and read in one sitting.
I loved the character relationships and how they explored their relationship and bondaires.

Going for Two is the second instalment in the Chicago Heartbreaker series. In this one, we follow a new sport and two new protagonists, Lottie and Nolan.
Much like the first, I really love how Wiegand managed to balance the sport / workplace aspect with the romance. I also really loved the team and the side character and I loved how the series is interconnected, so it was great to see Maggie and Tommy and co. keep popping back in.
I felt like both characters got adequate page time and character development, however I do wish we got to explore what it is like for Lottie to be a woman in the industry. This was touched upon, however it wasn’t really explored in depth. Alternatively, Lottie had mentioned she was at peace with where she was at in her career etc…and there seemed to be space to explore this particular storyline more with a reporter. Potential future book maybe?!
3.75 stars rounded up. It’s not quite higher because I felt some parts felt bit too repetitive/too much of the same back and forth and I didn’t enjoy it.
