*The Deepest End of Love* by Lisina Coney is my favorite of the series, and it absolutely blew me away! As a fan of the age gap trope, this book hit all the right notes. Lila and Reed’s chemistry is undeniable, and their struggle to keep things professional makes the tension even more delicious. Reed is not just the perfect mentor, but the perfect match for Lila, despite their differences. The story is gripping, romantic, and full of heart. It’s the third book in the series, and by far the best—an absolute must-read!

I fear this was not it. I feel like I’ve been reading this for ages. It dragged for me which I hate. I actually had to force myself to finish.
Some aspects were cute and I liked but ultimately it just wasn’t it for me.
Loved book 1, book 2 was meh and this was kinda disappointing.
I really wanted to love it.

I received an early eARC from NetGalley and Page & Vine. Thank you for the opportunity to read this early.

Lisina Coney has such a way of telling stories that touch your heart. I loved the character development throughout this book and how they were able to use their gifting to help the children. It was a beautiful reminder of how powerful love can be.

I'm going to say it, this is my favourite book of the series. I loved the relationship between Lila and Reed and they way it developed, they both understood eachother so deeply and were there for eachother throughout the book.

I loved how he put Lila first and tried to protect her as much as possible even if it meant he got hurt in the process. I just loved everything about this book and could read another book on these two. The dynamic between them and the love they had for eachother was just amazing.

I'm so sad to see the end of this series but cannot wait to see what the author has coming in the future. Highly recommend this series and this book specifically!

Thank you Lisina Coney & NetGalley for the ARC 🫶🏻
Such a full circle moment to have the final book in this series be about Grace & Cal’s daughter. Lila is caught slashing her ex boyfriend’s tire by a good family friend / internship supervisor. Which is how she ends up with the nickname “little criminal”. Lila really cares what other people think about her which is why this is a 4⭐️ for me. At times she felt extremely immature even though we are the same exact age. I’m actually obsessed with Reed though. His backstory had me crying. He becomes the most perfect dog dad. And the way that he is with the kids at the internship is amazing and had me swooning. Overall this was the perfect way for this series to end. Reed & Lila had so much growth by the end of the book. They were my all time favorite couple.

“To everyone who struggles with self-doubt. You deserve all the happiness and success you dream of. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise—not even yourself.”

This book has by far been my favorite in the whole series! It’s such an emotional and impactful read in the best of ways.

“I said you taught me plenty of things and you didn’t believe me…but you taught me the most important thing of all, Lila. You taught me how to love.” Lisina just when I thought you couldn’t write another man we can’t help but love, you give us Reed.

All of my favorite tropes wrapped up in one beautiful book. Age gap, forbidden romance, professor, parent’s good friend, mentor. Did I mention he even brushes her hair..talk about the most swoon worthy micro trope.

Our FMC Lila is studying to get her masters to become a youth counselor, she’s a great student but she’s really just living her life going through the motions. After catching her EX-boyfriend cheating on her, she makes some rash decisions that are out of character for her and is caught in the act by her professor…which earns her the nickname Little Criminal *enterally screaming*

Our MMC Reed is 12 years Lila’s senior, as well as a professor at her university and parents good friend. Reed had a hard childhood that wound him in the foster system at just 7 years old. He never thought he could love someone without hurting them. After months of tiptoeing around each other they have a connection they can no longer deny. Unfortunately, timing is not in their favor and a “friends” jealous betrayal sets a series of events in motion that threatens both of their futures.

I absolutely loved all the healing that occurred between every single character as well as the stories of the youth center children. This book had fantastic character diversity, as well moments that truly made me stop to think.

Reed and Lila’s love story is absolutely beautiful and tragic at the same time. It also goes to show that time and space can truly bring people together with a little healing and self reflection. Their character growth was truly amazing and I could not put this book down.

I wish everyone had a family like Lila’s with her supportive parents and relatives. The ending was the perfect wrap up to this series. That fact that Reed was Cals last appointment had me tearing up and without spoiling anything…the way Reed did what he did to ask Lila that important question had my heart exploding..

Thank you so much to Page & Vine and Lisina Coney for allowing me to read this pre-release in exchange for my honest review.

Lisina Coney never disappoints! I adored this book SO MUCH and how obsessed Reed was with Lila! Lisina truly knows how to create the best chemistry for her characters and this couple, dare I say, may just be my fav of hers so far! I could not get enough of this book and just had to read it in one sitting! It is so bittersweet to say goodbye to these characters, but I cannot wait to see what Lisina has in store next!

The third and final entry in this series did a nice job of tying up all the loose ends in the series. However, the story itself fell flat for me and felt repetitive of book 2. Again we have a forbidden romance (professor and student) and a large age gap (she's 24, he's 35). Again we have a slow burn and a third act breakup that lasts too long (almost a year of the story, and about 25% of the book). For those reasons, this one was a miss for me.

Content flags: Reed's parents physically and emotionally abused him as a child and there are scenes that recount those experiences; there's an instance of revenge porn (though not with very explicit images)

I voluntarily read a gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Thank you so much NetGalley and Page & Vine for an ARC of The Deepest End of Love. I have been anxiously waiting for the third book of this series following absolutely adoring the first two from Lisina Coney.

I am so sad to be saying goodbye to this series, but this was such a perfect ending to it. I absolutely loved Reed and Lila's story. The slow burn was written perfectly. The rawness of the characters truly made them so much more relatable and makes you love them even more.

I have been a fan of Coney since her debut and am so excited to see what she puts out next!

This is definitely my favorite book in the series! I absolutely adored Lila and Reed’s story! This was such a beautiful ending to the Brightest Light series!

I think a big part of why I really enjoyed this book was how much I related to Lila. Her self-doubt and overthinking tendencies really hit close to home. Reed's character was also really well-written and in-depth, so much so that I felt really protective of him, too.

What I loved the most was how Lila and Reed’s relationship developed so naturally. The tension, angst, and slow burn were done so well. Age gap romances can be difficult to write because, in my opinion, they can easily make readers uncomfortable, but this book handled it perfectly. The highlight of this book was how Lisina Coney did an amazing job of resolving the conflict in a natural and realistic way. She didn’t rush anything or drag it out to the point of frustration. It was so satisfying to read. The ending was the cutest thing I've read in a while. A perfect ending for a beautifully written series! I can't wait to see what Lisina Coney writes next!

Thank you to NetGalley, Page & Vine, and Lisina Coney for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

‘the deepest end of love’ is the last in the absolute joy that is the ‘the brightest light’ series. you don’t need to have read the others to have read this (i know this because i haven’t yet read the first one, but have read the second one. i emphasis yet though, because i certainly will.) a very beautifully written slow burn romance, with complex and compelling and downright lovely characters, this story is a perfect ending to the trilogy. i will read all that lisina coney writes.

I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to these characters, but Lisina couldn’t have given us a better ending for this series🥹

The Deepest End of Love is the last book in the The Brightest Light series, so there are cameos and small spoilers from the previous books if you haven’t read them.

Lila is the daughter of Grace and Cal from The Brightest Light of Sunshine, so I was super excited to read her book and get little moments with Cal and Grace. I love them so much, and they’re such a beautiful family.

Reed is an old friend of theirs and has worked with Grace on research or books. So when Lila runs into trouble with an internship she needs to graduate from her master's program, Reed suggests she do her internship at a center where he collaborates. Lila hesitates a bit, but after thinking it over, she accepts and falls back in love with her career. But not everything is as easy as it seems. Slowly, our protagonists begin to develop feelings for each other. The problem? She’s an intern, and he’s her supervisor... Their relationship is forbidden, but over time, that seems to matter less and less👀

Girls, this story is so beautiful! I love how Lisina slowly builds such a healthy and lovely relationship between the protagonists. It feels so natural😭

Reed’s childhood broke my heart, and with the ending, when the cover made more sense, my heart was filled with so much love for him❤‍🩹
I loved that Lila found herself, even if those chapters hurt—they were the best thing for her. I’m glad she healed that part of herself to be happy in all aspects of her life.

I’m so happy to see everyone living their best lives in that epilogue. This is a series that definitely has and will always have a special place in my heart💗

I think this may be my favourite book in the ‘Brightest Light’ series!
I always love the different storylines the characters have in this series, meaning they are interesting by themselves before being together.

Thank you Net Galley and Lisina Coney for the chance to read this book.

This was my first Lisina Coney book, and now I need more.

This story is age gap/parents friend done right, and I’m here for it.

I loved the character growth from both the MFC and the MMC, and I loved watching the love not only for each other, but for Ginny and the children at the youth center, grow.

Reed is amazing and his story was my favorite part of this book.

Wow. I read this as a stand alone and it made my heart swoon. I swear I haven’t been this invested in a romance book in so long. The romance felt so real, so genuine. I was rooting for Lila and Reed the whole time.

Not only is this the best romance book ever. It also touched on some heavy mental health topics that I could relate to. While focusing on these topics, we could see the main characters journey growing and healing from their trauma. Them healing from their trauma and them seeing their worth, has helped me with my own issues in a way. This book has taught me a lot about myself and inspired me to start my own healing journey. And for that, I thank the author for writing such a heartfelt and meaningful book.

Now I’m going to read the first two books in the series. This book was so good, I just have to read more.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. It was a book that I wish was longer because when I finished, I was hoping the story would continue. Lisina's other 2 previous books and loved them so when I heard Lila was getting a story, I knew I would be obsessed. Lisina took on super delicate topics with grace and vulnerability and felt truly authentic to the storyline. I didn't think any of her MMC's could top Cal but Reed is on a whole other level. Reed is gentle, kind, and compassionate but has his demons and he faces them throughout the story, Lila has her struggles that are so relatable, making her even more likable.

Read if you like:
- Slow burn
- Forced proximity
- Age gap
- Professor/student

The brightest 5 stars for Lila & Reed !! These two are so precious and soft and beautiful, their story is everything and a true joy to read! Lisina’s writing truly speaks to your soul and I’m so happy to have been along for the ride with these 3 beautiful stories !!

This slow burn was perfect, the chemistry was always present and delectable, and I loved being along for the ride as Lila & Reed’s relationship developed, first into companionship and friendship, and then more !! Truly such a heartwarming and beautifully touching tale of love and acceptance and two souls meant for one another. These two just have something so special between them and the way they clicked was perfectly adorable.

Lisina writes so wonderfully and handles hard topics with the most care. I really enjoyed reading and learning all about children’s mental health and counselling, Lila’s time at the youth centre was such a soft part of the book and every side character there was so lovely; love Cameron and Melody and their own character arcs. Reed’s story really breaks your heart, the way he heals was touching and I was rooting for him so hard ! He deserves all the love and hugs. Loved how Lila was there for him, saw him and understood him, and that they got the ending they so deserved.

Lila is such a beautiful character and her character growth was brilliant. Loved how you could see her grow into herself in her work and gain self-confidence. And in the end, despite her own fears and anxiety, she grew further and acknowledged her own mistakes and comforted Reed as he comforted her.

I have loved every book in this series so much and this was the perfect (bittersweet) ending !!! Seeing Grace & Cal and Maddie & James was wonderful, adored that we see more of their happy lives together. All these couples are so cute and I’m always rooting for them, they deserved these bright lives together so much !

Can’t wait to see what Lisina does next !! An insta-buy author from her debut, her talent is incredible!

Thank you Lisina, Page & Vine, and Netgalley for the early copy, all views are my own and I adored this so much !!

I am so sad this series is over but man it went out with a bang. I’m so glad we got more of the Grace and Cal as parents and Maddie as a big sister. Lila and Reed are everything to me. This book was less deep than the first two, don’t get me wrong it’s still deep, but still delivered a great story. The slow burn burned just right and I loved every second of this book.

I am so obsessed and sad at the same time that this is the final story of this series. Lila and Reed was one of the most beautiful characters and I try to keep it together cause Lila reminded me of myself as I am also going through with people expecting me to do things that is relevant for them and not for myself. I am also a grad student who is making a choice for myself for once and not caring what other people think. Lila is literally the angel anyone needs in their life especially Reed who understands and pushes her boundaries and not be afraid of anything and do whatever works for her not what people criticize her to be. Thank you Lisina for sharing your stories, sad to see it go and had wish there was a 4th one ❤️
