A dream internship brings Lila face-to-face with the one man she's been avoiding and sparks fly!

Lila Callaghan finds herself in a mess after a moment of revenge she immediately regrets—slashing her cheating ex-boyfriend's tire. To make matters worse, Reed Abner, the very man she's been avoiding for years, witnesses the whole thing.

Reed isn't just any professor at her university; he's a family friend, and the last person she wants involved in her troubles.

Lila reluctantly accepts Reed's offer to work at the youth center he coordinates. This means facing him every day as her supervisor!

I loved watching Lila's journey and personal growth!!

The slow-burn was done so well! I was hear for it.

If you're a fan of slow-burn romances with a forbidden love, this book is definitely for you.

Thank you NetGalley and Lisina Coney for this ARC.

Lila Callaghan is a grad student who gets an internship at a youth center where her parent’s friend, Reed Abner, is her internship supervisor. Lila and Reed are basically obsessed with each other(’s intelligence), and then slowly begin to fall in love. There are some definite bumps in the road between their reputations with the school and in their careers, lila’s parents and their relationship with Reed, but eventually they figure it out, my sweet little angel babies 🫶🏼

Their nicknames for each other, their banter, their own insecurities, the way they both are with the kids at the youth center and seeing how they were both able to grow separately and come together in the end was stunning.

I can’t believe we have to say goodbye to these characters as this is the last book in the brightest light series but what a great way to end the series. You can see how much love Lisina has poured into her writing! I just loved being able to see Cal and Grace in their 60s at this point, Maddie and James settled down and happy with their children, and then getting to see Lila all grown up and find herself throughout this book along with finding her soulmate in Reed was just absolutely beautiful.

"The deepest end of love" by Lisina Coney is described as a simmering age gap romance about a graduate student and a university professor who will do anything to keep their relationship professional…until their attraction for each other becomes too strong to deny. It's a part of the series but can easily be read as a standalone.
This is my first read of this author and in fairness I only dab into this genre when I'm overwhelmed by the previous reads. I have to say that I really enjoyed it. More than a romance this book explores different types of vulnerability and what it takes to change yourself. Overall I think it deserves 4 out of 5 stars and I would definitely recommend it to YA
Thanks to Netgalley and Page & wine for giving me the opportunity to read an early copy

I could not keep myself away from Lila and Reed for too long. Never have I ever been a fan of the slow burn as I am of this book, it was wonderful, the looks, the small touches, I was a big fan. I enjoyed the characters journey, Lila was adorable and Reed was too hot for his own good.

When I tell you I screamed when I got this ARC, I’m not lying!!!

This is the third and final book in this series and I really want to say it was my favorite!! 🥹

I was so excited to meet adult Lila!! She is Cal and Grace’s daughter from the first book. She’s all grown up now and in a master’s program to be a child therapist. Reed Abner is our MMC. He is a family friend as well as a child therapist, owner of a youth center, professor, and also collaborates with Grace.

I connected with Lila so much!! Her journey from struggling with self-doubt and a lack of self confidence to knowing who she is and what she wants and that she is capable of achieving it was so inspiring!! I loved watching Reed and Lila grow individually and together. Reed has a lot of trauma from his past and seeing him face it head on was so amazing. These two really fought it but their chemistry was OFF THE CHARTS!!! 🔥

I love a good slow burn and this delivered. Lila was apprehensive to be involved with Reed in any capacity— even interning at his youth center. She eventually gives in and I LOVED the little interactions she had with the students. Melted my heart😭 Reed is just so sweet and connects with the kiddos in a way not many can. I just loved seeing Lila grow from a little girl into a strong and resilient young woman!

Also, Ginny. OBSESSED. 🐾 that’s all I’m gonna say about that!!

Getting little snippets of Grace and Cal and Maddie and James was just the icing on the cake. I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters, but this was such a great ending to the best trilogy. It was a joy to read this amazing story. It was truly something so special and so beautiful 🤍 everything Lisina writes is so addictive and I cannot wait to see what she does next!!

This is the third and final book in the series. I have loved reading about these characters and I am so sad to say goodbye. I thought Reed and Lila had such fun chemistry. I loved watching their relationship grow. I saw a lot of myself in Lila. I related so much to her with the pressure she puts on herself to be the perfect daughter and the way she feels she has built her entire identity around academia. Her and Reed both have beautiful growth as characters. I’m a total sucker for forbidden love and force proximity and this book does a nice job delivering it in a super fun way!

Tropes:
-forbidden romance
-college romance
-slowburn
-dog dad
-forced proximity
-mental health representation

I’m absolutely overjoyed to be diving into an early copy of The Deepest End of Love! 🌟💖 This final book in the series follows the heartwarming story of Lila Callaghan (Grace and Cal’s daughter) and Dr. Reed Abner, her family friend and internship mentor. We first met Lila in the epilogue of The Brightest Light of Sunshine and as a child in The Darkest Corner of the Heart.

I started this series just over a year ago and fell head over heels for Grace and Cal—they’re my absolute favourites! 💕 Then James and Maddie stole my heart, and now, with Lila and Reed, I’m feeling all the feels.

Lila’s journey from self-doubt to confidence was so inspiring and relatable, while Reed’s transition from mentor to partner was just heartwarming. The youth centre added such a sweet touch, with interactions that brought a warm and fuzzy feeling to the story. 🐾✨

Every appearance of Grace and Cal, and Maddie and James, made me feel all the emotions. This final book wraps up the series perfectly, with a slow-burn romance that kept me eagerly turning pages. It’s the happily-ever-after we’ve all been waiting for! 💫📚

This book?! How do I even begin to describe what this book made me feel? Lila and Reed’s story is truly a beautiful, heart-warming love story and the perfect ending to this family series.

In “The Deepest End of Love” follows our two main characters: Lila Callaghan and Dr Reed Abner. We first meet Lila in the epilogue of “The Brightest light of sunshine” as Cal and Grace daughter and as a small child in “The darkest corner of the heart”.

In this third instalment we get to see Lila as a young and hardworking woman who is following her dream to graduate from her masters degree to become a counselor. Everything was going according to plan until she discovers her boyfriend is cheating on her, in a spur of a moment decision she decides her fastest way to revenge is slashing her ex’s tires. The one person who witnessed her colossal lapse in judgment? No other than Dr Reed Abber, her mother’s colleague and the profesor she has been avoiding for the last two years. What happens when circumstances bring them together and a burning desire starts to grow between them? You’ll need to read to find out their story.

Having read the whole Brightest Light I was so excited to read Lila’s story, and Lisina did not disappoint. Lila and Reed have become my favourite couple in this series!

The romance in this one was so well written, the pacing and slow burn kept me at the edge of my seat. But at the same time it’s a beautiful story exploring the depths of self-confidence and finding who you truly are. A journey of characters learning to advocate for themselves, healing from past traumas and finally believing in yourself.

Loved seeing Lilia going from being insecure of herself and her achievements to finally believing in herself, advocating for her wants and becoming her own person without letting others dictate her life.

Reed was everything I needed and more! His backstory absolutely broke me but seeing him grow and overcome his trauma absolutely warmed my heart. He was the perfect counterpart to Lila’s.

This book tied the series with a perfect bow. Loved reading small snippets of all these characters I have grown attached to. Specially the interaction between Cal and Reed! Those scenes had me grinning at my screen.

This book can be read as a stand alone, but I highly encourage you to checkout the other books as it ties all the stories together.

Thank you to NetGalley, Page & Vine and Lisina Coney for providing this copy for an honest review.

Tropes:

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the early e-arc of this book. I have loved every minute of the book series so far that I was so excited to get early access to reading the last one early! I pretty much read this in one sitting, I loved it that much. I loved the characters so much especially Reed, he was so sweet and caring! It had all of my favourite tropes in it which made it very special to me. Such a great ending to one of my new favourite series that I love!

Some books are so captivating that you never want them to end, and The Deepest End of Love was exactly that for me. After loving the first two books in the series, I was thrilled to get an early copy of the third installment!
Reed and Lila's journey was a highlight. I found Lila incredibly relatable, especially with her initial self-doubt. Watching her face her fears and grow into a more confident version of herself was inspiring. Reed’s character was steady and supportive throughout—he began as her mentor but grew into a true friend and partner as their relationship deepened.
Though they faced challenges, I appreciated how they addressed them directly, communicating openly and working through their issues together.
The youth center played an important role in the story, and I loved how the interactions with the children brought a heartwarming element to the book. Every time Grace and Cal, or Maddie and James, appeared, I couldn’t help but feel emotional. This final book wrapped up the series beautifully, providing a satisfying conclusion with everyone living their happily-ever-afters.

Huge thanks to NetGalley, Lisina Coney, and Victory Editing Co-Op for giving me the chance to read this amazing story. It’s one I’ll always hold dear!

An emotional goodbye to this family. The Deepest End of Love is emotional, impactful and full of romance.

Lisina Coney has crafted a wonderful love story for everyone in this series. Lila and Reed brought all the feels.
It's forbidden, angsty, emotional and so good. Reed is just the perfect man. He's gentle, sweet, thoughtful and loves and adores Lila like no one can.
Lila is just so strong and resilient and full of strength. she's such a romantic and gentle hearted person too. This book was a slow burn romance but it had you on edge eager to see when they would finally fall. I love that he's a professor, she's a masters student, they don't do anything until her internship is over but the pining and longing? So good! Im so sad to see this series end but I couldn't think of a better couple to wrap the series up. This was such a swoony and steamy romance that will have you blushing and kicking your feet up. I highly recommend.

I swear to god to I would read any book with Samuel Callaghan even when he’s 103 years old. He’s going to live forever idc idc. 🥹

First of all, I LOVED this one. I gotta hand it to Lisina for finishing the series strong with The Deepest End of Love. Usually, with interconnected series, we’re used to authors switching up tropes with each couple.. but honestly props to Lisina for saying f*ck it, I’m gonna write 3 age gap (& 2 lowkey forbidden romance) books in a row and own that shit. 😂

and you know what… I was still 🪑sat for every single one.

I think of all the FMC’s, Lila was the most relatable to me. But what I love most about this world that was built here was that despite being away from the other characters for so long (Cal/Grace & Maddie/James) they still felt so familiar. Lisina aged them up significantly since the first book but at their core they’re the same characters we fell in love with. I truly don’t think you can read this book without reading the others.

Thank you to NetGalley, Victory Editing, and Page&Vine for the eARC!

You know those books you enjoy reading so much that you don’t want them to end? That was The Deepest End of Love for me. I loved books 1 & 2 and was so excited to get the ARC for book 3!!
Reed & Lila. Where do I begin?! I could see so much of myself in Lila and felt all of her inner struggles. She started this book with so much self-doubt, but was able to confront her issues and grow to be confident in herself and her choices. Reed was such a rock for her, starting as a mentor and evolving into a friend, confidant, and true partner.
They had struggles but I like how they tackled them head on and openly discussed everything.

The youth center was a very special piece of this book and I loved seeing their interactions with all the kiddos!

I think every time there was an interaction with Grace & Cal, and Maddie & James, I looked like this 🥹🥹🥹. This was an amazing series completion and I felt like we got the closure we needed knowing they are all living their HEA’s.

Thank you to NetGalley, Lisina Coney, and Victory Editing Co-Op for the opportunity to read this story. I will cherish it forever!!

I just finished this and I’m writing through my tears. This book was everything. I started my journey with this series a little over a year ago and fell so deeply in love with Grace and Cal. When James and Maddie came along I fell in love again and now with Lila and Reed I’m fully 100% obsessed. The journey of these characters was so incredibly special to watch. You laugh and cry right along with them. Lisina’s writing is so beautiful and you find yourself getting so deeply pulled into this little world she created and I found myself again not wanting to leave. I can’t believe this is the end of the trilogy. All of these books hold such a special place in my heart but especially Lila’s. Her book hit home in so many ways and how much her and Reed were able to help and grow with each to her was so incredibly special to witness. I read this in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down. I’ll recommend this book and this series forever! What an incredible ending!

I read the first two books in this series and absolutely loved them. I have been impatiently waiting for this book since I first read "The Brightest Light of Sunshine," and I am so so pleased to report that this is the perfect conclusion to the series.

The cast of characters is absolutely incredible. We get to see our favorite characters from the previous books happy years after the end of their own books, and Coney introduces us to new characters that will quickly worm their way into your heart. It's amazing seeing Lila all grown up. Reed is such a complex character, and his personal arc was handled with so much care.

As I've mentioned before, I really loved the first two books in the series, but "The Deepest End of Love" takes first place.

I highly recommend this book and can't wait to see where Coney takes us next.

Thank you to the publisher for the e-copy. All opinions are my own.

Lila and Reed’s story is an emotional one, almost more so than the first two books in the series (though I still cried through those ones, as well). Their story is my favorite in the series, not only for who they are as characters, but all of the kids (and dog) they help along the way. Reading how Lila grew as a person and Reed overcame so much made me burst and knowing that their pain was necessary to grow was beautiful.

The Deepest End of Love is the third book in the Brightest Light series and follows Cal and Grace's daughter. Lila is a perfectionist who has become paralyzed by her fear of how others perceive her and her actions. Reed is her internship supervisor who is also one of her mother's coworkers. Lila and Reed get to know one another through her internship and they are unable to resist the chemistry between them. This book is a forbidden age gap romance.

I really enjoyed Lila's story, but I did think it was different from the other two books in the series. Lila's main conflicts were internal(with the exception of Reed being off limits) as opposed to the other two books where Maddie and Grace's struggles were external. I loved Lila and Reed's banter and that he always saw Lila. I enjoyed this book and would recommend especially if you have read the other two books in the series.

Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing for the ARC!

Thank you so much NetGalley for the opportunity to ARC read ❤

This series is very special to me, I love how Lisina Coney approaches mental health in her books, and The Deepest End of Love is no exception.

I absolutely recommend this book, it’s an honest five-star read! It’s easy to read and catches you right from the first page, I couldn't stop reading.

Lila and Reed were great characters. I’m so in love with them! I want to go deeper in the description but I also want to avoid giving spoilers - all I can say is that they were fire and their chemistry is so good! I love that we finally got the elements for forbidden romance like the sneaking around + age gap + family’s friend and that was a chef kiss.

Another thing that I loved was seeing Cal, Grace, Maddie, and James + kids again 💕💞 they were amazing and so funny I can’t wait for you to read Cal and Reed interacting after the ✨ big reveal ✨

I can’t wait to read more from Lisina Coney, I’m so in love with your books and am so excited to know the next adventure!
