This read more like a history book/self help book rather than a memoir. It had certain portions where I learned about Fidele but for the most part, he talked about the Congo and the discrimination his tribe experienced. It was sad seeing how much trauma Fidele been through and he managed to keep going, no matter what.

It was nice to see Fidele turn his lemons into lemonade when he joined the police force but nobody in this country really like them. Granted, there are not as bad as third world countries, but they’re still terrible nonetheless. Fidele manages to keep his head up and that is something that we all need to take in our lives.
