This is my second book by these authors and since I LOVED the first one I didn’t hesitate to grab this one too! This book certainly grabbed me from the very get go and I binged it in one sitting! In this book, we have a girl Anna, who wakes up in the side of a lake, wet, with a bump on her head and no recollection of who she is or how she got there. It’s winter, she’s cold and so she stumbles to the nearest house. Thankfully there is a handsome, caring, kind man who answers the door and lets her in. Since there is a storm, they don’t have phone lines and they are snowed in, he offers her to stay in the guest bedroom until they are able to get out. He is very thoughtful and soon….things become very strange. Just who is this Gregg guy and are her memories starting to come back or is it her head injury messing with her?
From page one of this book I was completely invested in this story! I was so nervous for Annie because she seemed so vulnerable not having her memories! I was sketched out by all of the characters in this book. The authors did a great job casting doubt against all of the side characters which kept me guessing who was out to her poor Annie! The ending was not what I was expecting in a good way. It was unhinged, demented and crazy. I felt like I kept getting whiplash from all the twists. I do think you will have to completely suspend belief when it comes to this ending, but that’s what makes thrillers fun! If you love wild and insane thrillers then make sure to check this one out!

I enjoyed The Last Girl Left, so I was excited to read this book. Even though I enjoyed most parts of this book, there were some scenes that didn't make any sense. Maybe for some readers, this won't be an issue. Since it is well-written, it will hook you from the beginning.,.And the twist at the end was so good.
"Anna" wakes on the shore of a remote lake in the middle of the night, freezing and afraid. With no memory of who she is or how she got there, she stumbles frantically toward the lights of a house. The man who lives there is shocked to see a woman on his doorstep and takes her in.
This book got me hooked from the beginning, a unique and interesting story, it intrigued me and kept me guessing until the very end, loved the atmospheric scenery. the mystery and the thrills elements, the first part, and the end of the book, but the middle part didn't make sense to me, I like that the heroine was cautious and her internal thoughts were very relatable regarding her circumstances. but then she throws everything out the window and starts having a "relationship" with a man she doesn't know anything about and acts very suspicious...overall it was a very Good read.
Thank you Netgalley and Publisher for the eARC.

I have read several books by this author and loved them. This was no exception. I was immediately pulled into the story and remained interested and invested in what was happening through out. Another home run by this amazing author. Can’t wait to read more by them.

This was such a great read with a great pace throughout the entire book. The trope wasn't new but the take on it was great with well developed characters. The book starts strong by grabbing your attention and that continues throughout the book. Gravewater Lake constantly left me guessing with all it's twists and turns. This read will keep you engrossed right to the very end! Highly recommend.

A woman who can’t remember her past encounters a mysterious stranger in a chilling novel of mounting psychological suspense by the authors of The Last Girl Left.
She wakes on the shore of a remote lake in the middle of the night, freezing and afraid. With no memory of who she is or how she got there, she stumbles frantically toward the lights of a house. The handsome stranger who lives there is shocked to see a woman on his doorstep and takes her in.
Trapped by a winter storm and cut off from the outside world, she starts to suspect that all is not right with the house on Gravewater Lake—or the man, who says his name is Gregg. Because there are whispers in the night, and phantom footsteps pace the halls. Is Gregg hiding a dark secret, or is she losing her mind?
As she struggles to remember her past and make sense of her present, she soon discovers that people are not always who they seem, and the truth might be more deadly than she could ever have imagined.
It was not well written. I found myself skipping all the parts that were not actual dialogue or progressing the story. That was a lot of skipping. 1.5 stars. Just not for me. I did finish it though.; so there's that. The ending was so anticlimactic. I wanted to try to guess what was going to happen but the "big reveal" was nothing guessable.

Gravewater Lake by A.M. Strong and Sonya Sargent delivers a compelling mix of mystery and supernatural intrigue. The story's eerie setting and the authors' vivid descriptions create a chilling atmosphere that draws readers into the lake's dark secrets. The protagonists are relatable, and their journey is engaging, though some plot points feel slightly predictable. The pacing is solid, but a few sections could have used tighter editing to maintain momentum. Despite minor flaws, the book offers enough twists and emotional depth to keep readers hooked. It’s a captivating read for fans of atmospheric thrillers with a touch of the supernatural.

I don’t even know where to begin. Calling it “full of twists & turns” just doesn’t cover it. All the little details, the little things you KNOW are important are standing out like sore thumbs - you’re SCREAMING at Adria to get her shit together. The red flags will leave you blind. Your heart is pounding along with hers. It’s so unbelievable that it can’t be anything else!
Adria’s husband Peter has some dark secrets. After an accounting audit at Adria’s family charitable foundation revealed embezzlement activities linked to Peter, Adria becomes suspicious. She loops in head of security for the foundation and the other family businesses, Harvey. After doing some digging, Harvey texts Adria with an ominous message about her husband. Wondering what else he’s lied about, she continues digging. When Peter realizes she’s uncovering the truth, he suggests a trip to the lake house - in the middle of winter. And he won’t take no for an answer.
Just when you think you know EXACTLY what is going here, you’ll find yourself spinning in circles wondering where that just came from.
This one you absolutely will not see the ending coming at you - this one sneaks up on you

This is my second book by this author and, it might just be me. But the premise and plot are amazing: yet I feel disconnected from the characters and the story. I'd still recommend, it just wasn't the most memorable to me.

This author duo is now two for two for me. This was another fast paced plot AND character driven book and I loved it! It starts out strong and doesn’t let up. I was pretty lost in the best way and was thrown for a few loops. This had all the elements of a good thriller. Great pace, locked room, character with memory loss, and so much more. This book was so fun!

Gravewater Lake is an uneven, surface-level read. The main character and her thoughts and actions in regards to her amnesia are just not believable.

Really good quick read. Enjoyed the storyline and the setting. Kept me guessing what was happening til the end. Thank you NetGalley for this arc

I really enjoyed this one. A fast paced thriller full of twist and turns. A real mess with your head thriller.
If you want a good book that will have you turning pages this is definitely a story for you.
Grab your favourite drink and your favourite spot and enjoy

This wasn't a new trope; it was the classic found woman lost her memory and is staying with someone claiming to be good. Despite that it wad a goid spin on it. I loved the characters and their dynamics. The pace was fast and full of suspense. The mystery was winding and twisty, it kept me guessing as to what these characters would do next.

This book was entertaining, but also cheesy. The main character was stupid for ignoring so many red flags and letting Gregg gaslight her over and over. Too random to have the two crimes happen at the same place. Just overall ok. Wouldn’t recommend.

Wow!
Finally a true psychological thriller! You can’t trust ANYONE in this book. The idea that someone can lose their memories and have no idea who they are or where they are is terrifying. All of the people surrounding them are suspects and everyone seems to be keeping secrets.
The location of a lake in the dead of winter during a snow storm with no escape was great! I love a good locked in thriller.
I thought I had it figured out, but I most certainly didn’t! What a twist. I also loved the ending and was very optimistic about “Anna’s” happy ever after.
Highly recommend this book, as it was one of the best I’ve read all year.

Very predictable I think. Most thrillers usually are, so this does not stand out to me.
Dragged on a bit in the middle.
I suppose I would recommend for someone just wanting to read a quick thriller/meet their reading goal.

I am a sucker for any kind of lost memory trope, and this one didn't disappoint! From the first chapter this one drew me in, and the Freida McFadden-like pacing made this one a fun, easy, and quick read.
I did like the twists, but some parts were overly confusing - I found myself needing to flip back and forth between places to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I think that was part of the point since Anna was confused, but it made some parts difficult to follow. Either way, I loved the twist at the end and would love to read more from this duo! Thanks so much for the ARC!

This was a great thriller book! I really loved how quick this book took off and it kept me focused the entire time. It’s full of twists and turns, a lot that I didn’t see coming. If you’re a fan of Freida McFadden, you would love this book! I am interested in reading more from this author.

I got drawn in by this book from the very first page to the very last. I usually read horror books, but I class this as a palette cleanser for me after an extreme horror read. This psychological thriller written by these author's is just as addictive.
This story starts with a lady that washes up on the shore of a lake with amnesia nearly frozen to death in a snow blizzard. Where is she, who is she, what happened to her. She finds help at a house and Gregg helps her, but they are isolated and trapped due to the storm. But all is not what it seems. They call her Anna, but her paranoia seems to be getting the better of her and with Gregg being too good to be true. I really thought I had it sussed, then the author threw a spanner in the works again and again. I then spiralled off into another direction, all over again arghhh arghhh 😳😬.
This book kept me guessing to the very end, addictive reading as always, never disappoints me. I highly recommend this read. I loved it!!!

4.5 stars
Okay, wow!!! Never in my life have I been so blindsided by a plot twist?! I am still totally reeling from this one, but I loved it!! I have to admit, I spent the entire book trying to figure it out, I knew I was missing something, but I didn't put the pieces together at all, and isn't that EXACTLY what all readers want out of a good thriller?
The two POVs were so much fun to read and try to piece together, and whatever you think the resolution of this book is going to be, I promise, you have not seen anything yet!!
I was so confused and on edge for the entire duration of this read. Thank you so much to NetGalley for allowing me to be an early reader for this one, and I can't wait for release and to start recommending this to my following!! Wow!!!
