These were an interesting collection of stories. I received a copy of this because I worked for John.

This book wasn't what I was expecting and fell short for me. It's basically a self help book/a mentorship book for teenagers. It touches on topics such as integrity, perspective, communication and composure. I did like that it included a lot of quotes, as I've always connected with and enjoyed quotes. There were examples in each chapter of people who have succeeded and excelled in each topic that was being discussed. But I felt like it was just telling you that they were important, not telling you how to get there. Just that it's possible I guess. 2 stars.

This book is chock full of mentor texts and motivational stories that can be shared with young teens. I did not read the book from cover to cover, but I did find several parts that I read and discussed with my 12 year old son. Thank you for the opportunity to read and share this title with others.
