So shame on me, when I initially got the ARC I should have gone and read book 1. Another reviewer said that it was a good idea as there was crossover, so I will have to go and give the first book a read. I thought that this was a well executed idea, and I liked the surprises. I think even as a standalone this was great! I thank Netgalley for the opportunity to read something from an author that I haven't read before, and will absolutely be reading more from! You should absolutely give this book series a try! (Probably in the correct order though!)

Another great Debra Webb book. I absolutely love this series. She is the queen of Romantic Suspense. Closer Than You Know hits the spot between family secrets and police procedural, Her characters are complex and courageous, they will keep you up until you reach the stunning conclusion and still wish there was more!! The three Boycott sisters are each compelling in her own way. Vera Mae of course is the oldest and thinks itS her duty to take care of them all. Eve she has had a hard time along the way, her mother and step mother put alot on her young shoulders and of course the youngest Luna was their step sister but grew up sweet and innocent and seems to be the one to keep the family together. They all come together with their secrets and betrayals and devotion to each other to make an Intriguing, Suspenseful book. Its definitely a 5 star read!! Closer Then You Know by D. Webb is the second book in the Vera Boyett Series, published by Thomas & Mercer. Every book can be read as a stand alone, but there are cross overs, I recommend to read the books in order. The previous book is Deeper Than the Dead, a fav of mine in 24.
Vera moved into the family farm house, has started over working as consultant for agencies, law enforcement. Together with Sheriff Bent she investigates the Time Thief, a case that leads to a much more sinister person. Something truly evil lurks and threatens her loved ones. Soon she's in a race against the time,sorry not sorr no spoilers here. Only so much, Bent and Vera are lead on a wild goose chase, connected to one of her old cases.
I just wanted to take a peak, but it took me ca 8 hrs to come up for air and that was when I finished this outstanding novel.
Literally unputdownable, fast paced, high adrenaline, action packed and full of twists and turns that had me guessing til the very last page. I highly recommend thre book and the series.

This book had great suspense, intriguing, action, murder, mystery, a fantastic who done it and some wild twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting and had me glued to my kindle!
