Dollycas’s Thoughts

It’s a beautiful day for a wedding. Theodosia Browning and her tea sommelier, Drayton Conneley have been asked to cater Bettina and Jamie’s nuptials at the Foxtail Flower Farm. They hear a loud crash when they are setting up for the elegant affair. They soon discover the greenhouse where the dinner was to be served has collapsed on top of the bridegroom and the maid of honor. Thanks to Theodosia and Drayton’s heroic efforts the groom survives but the maid of honor succumbs to her injuries. Theodosia has no doubt the tragic event was no accident, it was murder and she is going to do everything she can to prove it.

I loved how this story started – “the killer in the camo shirt, black tactical pants, and blade sunglasses crept ever so carefully between rows of orange chrysanthemums and Chinese silver grass”. I was tuned in and totally engaged.

I love catching up with Theodosia, Drayton, Haley, and Miss Dimple. Riley too, but sometimes he tics me off. 🙂 Delaine was the bride’s aunt so she seemed to be everywhere. Her “hysteria and theatrics” started to annoy Drayton – “She’s driving me berserk” and that was before the greenhouse tumbled to the ground. I love how Ms. Childs’ characters come alive with her words. The dialogues always ring true and the relationships are genuine. Theodosia and Drayton make a fantastic team both at her Indigo Tea Shop and when they are sleuthing out a murderer. Theodosia is always gung-ho but sometimes Drayton needs to be convinced to take part in her escapades. He does try to talk her out of things when he believes she is going too far or putting them in unnecessary danger, but capitulation usually follows. Their banter is priceless.

What an awful way to die and Theodosia was immediately on the scene. As she was helping remove the victims from the rubble she was looking for clues and observing everything and everyone. When Riley arrives she has a great theory but it took some persuasion to get him to follow the lead. He knows she has good instincts and she is right more than she is wrong. Yes, he tics me off sometimes, but he does come through in the clutch. And boy, that was a good thing this time. What an ending! A little abrupt but there is no denying it was powerful.

Be sure to check out the recipes and tea time tips. I want to try them all.

High Tea and Misdemeanors is another excellent addition to this long-running series. At 29 books, these characters have stood the test of time and continue to entertain readers every day. I am so excited for the next book in the series, Murder at a Firefly Tea. I haven’t seen a release date for it yet but I know it will be worth the wait!

Laura Childs continues to shine in this cozy mystery featuring our favorite tea shop cast.

What was meant to be the beautiful autumnal wedding of Bettina and Jamie comes crashing down as the glass greenhouse collapses in. Injuring Jamie and killing a bridesmaid. Unique to this series, we get a glimpse at the Killers POV. Also newish to this installment, Theo wastes no time getting stuck into the mystery. She has gotten more and more proactive about looking into the crimes that seem to surround her but this felt a little different.

I found her behavior at the beginning almost abrasive and chaotic but not in a fun way. The mystery was still fun and I did enjoy seeing all the familiar characters and settings.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Berkley for the eARC.

Theodosia Browning and her tea sommelier, Drayton Conneley, are hard at work on the catering of Bettina and Jamie’s wedding. Preparations grind to a halt and the wedding is called off when the greenhouse comes crashing down, injuring Jamie and taking the life of a bridesmaid. When the police are initially inclined to write the incident off as a tragic accident, Theodosia accedes to requests that she conduct her own “shadow investigation.”

Laura Childs takes us on a wild ride in this book! The murder method was unexpected and a little shocking, to think that someone would go to such lengths to kill, and with such disregard for the presence of anyone else other than the intended victim. The book also, unusually, opens with the killer’s point of view, which really ramped up the tension for me. The insights into the killer’s mind were fascinating, and seemed to support the theory that a murderer will keep coming back to the scene of the crime.

Theodosia’s sleuthing skills improve with each book, and here we see her bold enough to actually commit a little crime of her own in the name of investigating. Drayton, bless his heart, tries to be the voice of reason, but sometimes Theodosia throws caution to the winds and persuades Drayton not to let her go into situations alone. I’ll admit to wanting to yell at her sometimes, you know, like you do at the horror movie when a character is leaving the group to go off alone. Don’t do that, Theodosia! It won’t go well!

We have the usual community events, too, which keep the book on the cozy side. I love reading about the different groups the tea shop hosts and the different things they take part in. Here, the Walk among the Tombstones was particularly apt for the season! And I love the recipes at the end. So many delicious things I want to try!

The mystery had enough misdirections and red herrings to keep me guessing, and Theodosia and Drayton do find themselves in a situation it seems they might not get out of. The reveal surprised me when I figured it out (only a little bit before the end), and the ending had some bits that made me laugh (partly in relief, partly at the simply hilarious mental vision it created).

This is one of my top ten favorite mystery series. I don’t know that I can rank it more specifically, because there are several I simply adore, and Laura Childs’ Tea Shop Mysteries are in that category. High Tea and Misdemeanors keeps her firmly on my list of must-read authors and Theodosia on my list of favorite amateur sleuths.

HIGH TEA AND MISDEMEANORS by Laura Childs
The Twenty-Ninth Tea Shop Mystery

It should have been a glorious autumnal wedding, even if Delaine Dish was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. Theodosia Browning, owner of the Indigo Tea Shop, and Drayton Conneley, her friend and tea sommelier had the catering well in hand and the dining space was all set up in the greenhouse when a mighty crash sent the pair rushing out to see what happened. The walls and roof of the greenhouse collapsed killing a bridesmaid and seriously injuring the groom who was sent to get her. This was no accident, however. A killer fully intended to disrupt the wedding. Theodosia, never content to sit by the sidelines decides to run her own shadow investigation. The killer hasn't finished and Theodosia just might become the next victim.

HIGH TEA AND MISDEMEANORS pits a killer against tea shop owner and sleuth Thedosia Browning. What's unusual is that readers are privy to part of the killer's point of view. Although not given the exact motivation or plans, readers are privy to some of the thoughts, ideas, and actions, as well as the killer's thoughts about Theo! I really enjoyed this aspect of the novel as it brings something fresh to the twenty-ninth book in the series!

One of my favorite aspects of this book, indeed the whole series, is the description, be it the scenery, design, and architecture of Charleston, or the amazing food, teas, and events at the Indigo Tea Shop! Those food descriptions, as well as the recipes and tips found at the end of each book, make my mouth water and have me dreaming of my own tea parties.

The mystery was compelling, but yet again Theo takes matters into her own hands, running her "shadow investigation". Asking questions is one thing, but it seems she thinks breaking and entering is fine now. She's even cajoled Drayton into helping her against his better judgement. I wish she'd stop breaking the law in order to solve the crime. She's also developed a know it all attitude which is off putting. I wish she'd take a vacation and let Drayton and Miss Dimple solve a mystery on their own!

HIGH TEA AND MISDEMEANORS is a fast paced thrillzy that will have you wondering just who-dun-it as your mouth waters over the delectable food and tea offered by Theo and her friends at the Indigo Tea Shop.

Charleston tea shop owner Theodosia Browning and her tea sommelier Drayton Conneley were setting up for the wedding of Bettina and Jamie, they witness a terrible tragedy. The table was set in the greenhouse, each detail perfect, from the place settings to the flower arrangements. But one of the bridesmaids went into the greenhouse, and suddenly the entire building collapsed. The bridesmaid was crushed, and the groom who had tried to stop her was hurt. But Theodosia had seen the entire thing happen, and she knew in her heart that it was no accident. Someone had sabotaged the greenhouse, she insisted to her significant other, Detective Pete Riley. He opened an official investigation into the incident.

But who would want to kill the bridesmaid? Did she have enemies? Who would kill someone at a wedding? Theodosia knew that something was amiss, and she was determined to find out who would do such a thing. But it’s also a busy time at the Indigo Tea Shop. It’s Halloween, and aside from the daily tea, pastries, and lunches they serve, there are also a couple of special tea events, and they’re going to sell tea and snacks at one of the local graveyards for A Walk Among the Tombstones. And things get even busier when their part-time helper Miss Dimple gets sick and can’t help at the shop for a few days.

But Theodosia keeps investigating, even going on a local true crime podcast to talk about the murder. And when a caller seems to know some specific information about Theodosia and a token that had been left at her house the previous night, she can feel the chill in the air. She couldn’t tell who the podcast caller was because they had disguised their voice, but it was clearly the killer. And the killer was coming for Theodosia. She would have to act quickly to catch this person before they struck again. But the killer had been leaving her clues, so Theodosia just has to slow down a little and figure out what they mean, and she’ll be able to find the killer. Or at least, that’s what she’s hoping for.

High Tea and Misdemeanors is book 29 in Laura Childs’s popular Tea Shop Mysteries that blend crime-solving with tea-drinking. These mysteries include some of the history and culture of Charleston, along with ideas for delicious teas, sweet and savory dishes, and decorating. While the mysteries are a little on the dark side, the friendship of Theodosia and Drayton, her relationship with Riley, and her dog Earl Grey help lighten the story.

I really enjoy these mysteries and the sophistication of the tea culture. These characters are fun and charming, and I have fun spending time with them. I also like how each of these books include recipes and tea resources, including magazines, blogs, and Facebook groups for tea lovers as well as purveyors of tea, with an emphasis on American tea plantations. High Tea and Misdemeanors includes recipes for Pumpkin Muffins, Haley’s Easy Turkey Meatloaf, Drayton’s English Crumpets, Baked Mozzarella Bites, and Cinnamon Scones. And it includes ideas for teas you can throw for your favorite tea lovers, like a Bronte Sisters Tea, Spring Fever Tea, or Tropical Tiki Tea. There is something special about these Tea Shop Mysteries, and I’m glad I am always happy to see another one on the shelf.

Egalleys for High Tea and Misdemeanors were provided by Berkley through NetGalley, with many thanks.

A murder occurs at a wedding Theodosia is catering, and the bride’s sister is killed when the roof crashes in. The groom is injured but alive, and Theo wants to solve the crime. As she gets closer and closer to identifying the culprit, she puts her own safety in danger.
I really like the Charleston SC setting, it sounds like a great place to visit! 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley, I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Theodosia Browning is catering a wedding reception with her tea sommelier and friend, Drayton Conneley. When the greenhouse where the reception will be held collapses, the groom is injured and one of the bridesmaids is killed. Theo immediately starts investigating the murder as an amateur detective, along with Drayton's help.

I wanted to read High Tea and Misdemeanors because I have enjoyed a number of books in this series. I love Charleston and tea and that adds to my enjoyment of this series.

This was another engrossing mystery in the Tea Shop Mystery series! I always enjoy the Indigo Tea Shop (and recipes included!). I like the atmospheric glimpses of Charleston in this series too.

Theo is a smart amateur detective - often seeing things the police (and her detective boyfriend Riley) haven't caught yet! I enjoyed her deductive process in this book, and the turns the mystery took.

I recommend High Tea and Misdemeanors - and the Tea Shop Mystery series - to other fans of cozy mysteries. Readers who love charming southern settings will especially enjoy this series.

Once again, Laura Childs has brewed up another cute cozy. Theodosia Browning owns a quaint tea shop, but somehow manages to find the time to go chasing after clues. When the wedding that she is catering literally falls apart, causing murder and mayhem, it gives a whole new meaning to the term wedding crasher. As usual, grieving relatives beg "Charleston's own Nancy Drew" to find the culprit. This time, the author stepped away from her own formula and started the novel from the killer's point of view. Most of the story is written in third person about our sleuth. But by occasionally slipping into the mind of the villain, we realize that she is not only crazy smart, but quite crazy too. This culinary cozy series always offers up several suspects, tasty red herrings, action at the end, and an afterword with recipes. The tea shop is filled with lots of fun characters, who I love to revisit with each new book. Theodosia is a smart woman who somehow manages to constantly put herself in danger. Although readers love her, I adore her trusty friend Drayton who always gets dragged into trouble with her. One of the best surprises this time was who actually comes to the rescue!

Tea shop owner Theodosia Browning is excited to cater the wedding of her friend Delaine Dish’s niece Bettina. Despite Delaine being extremely high-strung, Bettina is a sweet young woman who has a blessedly calming effect on her aunt. She and her fiance Jamie Wilkes seem absolutely besotted with one another, and Theo is happy to help make the wedding of their dreams come true on a Charleston-area flower farm.

But when the glass greenhouse where the reception is supposed to be held crashes down on an impatient bridesmaid and the groom sent to waylay her, the festivities are irreparably ruined. Jamie is sent to the hospital, but poor Celeste Haynes is pronounced dead at the scene. While most of the attendees automatically assume that the collapse was just a terrible accident, Theo isn’t so sure. With the help of her police detective boyfriend Pete Riley, she quickly ascertains that someone had rigged up the greenhouse for murder. The real question, however, is whether Celeste was the intended target.

Knowing Theo’s track record of solving cases, Delaine begs her to “supplement” the official investigation with her own efforts. Riley isn’t too thrilled about this, but has long given up on trying to stop his girlfriend from snooping. Theo soon finds herself with a plethora of suspects, depending on who the intended victim may have actually been. Was it Jamie, Bettina or even the both of them? Or had the intended target really been Celeste all along?

As Theo investigates, she comes to the attention of a cunning murderer, who isn’t averse to including her in their twisted cat and mouse games. With her long-suffering best friend and tea sommelier Drayton Conneley by her side, will Theo be able to catch the devious killer before they harm anyone else?

The Tea Shop mystery series has recently been lauded as a “thrillzy”, a sort of thriller and cozy hybrid. While this sometimes puts Theo in cinematic if outlandish situations, I was really pleased by how relatively realistic this twenty-ninth novel of the series was, even as Theo and Drayton continue to courageously risk their lives to save the innocent. It was a very satisfying installment that will definitely please series fans, while also providing a great entry point for new readers.

In addition to the entertaining mystery, there are useful sections in the back on holding your own themed teas, as well as resources on Charleston and on tea in general. Most pertinent to this column, there’s a recipe section with instructions for nine of the dishes featured in the narrative. After last week’s extraordinarily delicious peach cobbler muffins, I was definitely in the mood for more tasty baked goods, so decided to try out this recipe:

QUOTE
Pumpkin Muffins

3 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
3 cups sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 ½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup oil
4 eggs
⅔ cup water
2 cups pumpkin (canned)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Now stir in oil, eggs, water, and pumpkin and mix well. Fill well-greased muffin tins ¾ full. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Yields 12 muffins.
END QUOTE

I love how easy this recipe is to assemble and bake! Since I was using regular cupcake tins, I wound up with 24 muffins and enough batter extra for a short loaf. That is not at all a complaint, as it meant I had more to share! The texture comes out perfectly spongy and moist, and the pumpkin flavor is phenomenal. The next time I make these, though, I’m probably going to add some chocolate chips. I love a little chocolate, and think that a little of that flavor would go really well here, too.

Next week, we travel all over the world to celebrate St Patrick’s Day while investigating crimes and baking up a traditional treat. Do join me!

High Tea and Misdemeanors is the 29th installment in the A Tea Shop Mystery series by Laura Childs.
I absolutely love this series!

The suspense and tension erupt from Chapter 1. And continue throughout the entire story.
The mystery itself I found it entertaining and well thought out. This mystery kept me engaged and I was surprised when the killer was revealed.
The main characters are wonderful! Hardworking, talented, and they support each other. The mystery was quite interesting! I loved the appealing tea party themes.
Childs makes me want to live in her story. I want to go to Charleston, visit the shops and meet the people. While you are entranced with the scenery, she is also gently leading you through a mystery.

If you're a cozy reader who hasn't yet tried this series what on earth are you waiting for? Go get them now.
I highly recommend this series to all my cozy loving friends.

High Tea and Misdemeanors by Laura Childs is the twenty-ninth A Tea Shop Mystery. It can be read as a standalone for those new to the series. This is one of the two series that got me hooked on cozy mysteries (when they only came out in paperback). I always enjoy my visits to Charleston, South Carolina, and the Indigo Tea Shop. I like checking in on Theodosia, Drayton, Hayley, and, of course, Earl Gray. I am not a fan of Riley, Theo’s boyfriend, who does not understand her curious nature and desire to investigate crimes. Theo and Drayton make a great team. The mystery was interesting, but it was easy to solve. The guilty person stood out like a woman wearing a red dress at a black and white party. There were various events that kept things lively. I liked the chapters from the killer’s perspective (it was obvious their elevator stopped a few floors short of the top). The reveal was suspenseful and answered any lingering questions. There are recipes at the end of the book along with tea tips. I do wish, though, that the story had more depth like the books at the beginning of the series and less repetitive details. I liked that High Tea and Misdemeanors was a Halloween story (it is a shame that the book did not come out in the fall). The Indigo Tea Shop was decked out for a spooky tea and there were other Halloween themed events. I look forward to Theodosia’s next adventure. High Tea and Misdemeanors is a merry mystery with a glass catastrophe, scrumptious scones, chocolate covered cherries, a cemetery crawl, a creepy killer, and tasty tea.

High Tea and Misdemeanors is book #29 in the Tea Shop Mystery series by Laura Childs.

I started reading this series when it first came out and kept up with the first several books until life interrupted and I lost track of it. I was thrilled with the opportunity to see what Theodosia is up to now. I’m very happy to find that this series is still going strong. The author gives us wonderful characters and an interesting mystery with plenty of twists that kept me guessing (wrongly) until the end. I also like the glimpses of Charleston. As a bonus, there are recipes and tea time tips at the end. I need to get caught up on the books I missed while waiting for the next book, Death at a Firefly Tea.

Thank you to the author, Berkley, and NetGalley for the Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Title: High Tea and Misdemeanors

Author: Laura Childs

Publisher: Berkley

Format: Hardcover (I read the ebook version)

Set In: Charleston, South Carolina

On Sale: March 4, 2025

Series: Tea Shop Mystery #29

A bride and groom's wedding plans come crashing down before they walk down the aisle at a flower farm. Under the shattered glass of the greenhouse, Theodosia Browning and Drayton Conneley find Jamie, the groom, and Celeste, the Maid of Honor, trapped. Theo, the owner of Indigo Tea Shop, who was catering the wedding, believed it was murder. She is the neighborhood amateur sleuth. Theo believes that someone had tampered with the overhead gears securing the structure. The question is, did someone want the bride or groom dead?

Celeste died. She had her whole life ahead of her. Now Jamie needs surgery and he and his future bride, Bettina, may never get to say "I do."

As always, Theo gets involved by trying to solve the murder.

Drayton believed that Bettina was the intended target. Then it seems it's Jamie. When questioned about his enemies, Jamie could think of one man, Martin Hunt, the owner of Hunt & Peck, an upscale men's clothing store. Was there a personal vendetta? Yes. Jamie told Theo and Drayton that Hunt called on Jamie, who was a licensed broker, to find a "quick way to double his money." And he lost his shirt, so to speak.

Feeling the heat on him, Hunt says they should check out Adam Lynch, a website creator with a bad temper.

Then there's Barbara "Babs" Campbell, who was engaged to Jamie. Babs works for Milne and Kerrison Public Relations; Karl Ruff, Celeste's bad-boy ex-boyfriend; and Sabrina Hayes, Celeste's sister. All are possible suspects.

Along with the investigation, Theo, Drayton, and Haley, the tea shop's chef and baker, have to plan an Under the Tuscan Sun Tea, a Victorian Halloween Tea, Cemetery Crawl refreshments, and a Harvest Tea.

The alleged murder has Theo stumped until the very end.

This was a fast read. I did wonder why Celeste went into the greenhouse. Was she troubled and needed time away from everyone? Was she meeting someone there?

The twists and turns of this mystery were pretty good. I didn't guess the killer this time around. Any of the suspects could realistically have been guilty.

As always, I love the themed teas and characters. This continues to be my favorite series.

"High Tea and Misdemeanors" by Laura Childs is the perfect brew for cozy mystery lovers. This delightful book steeps you in a warm, small-town atmosphere that feels like slipping into your favorite comfy sweater on a chilly day.

At the heart of the story is a charming tea shop that'll have your taste buds dancing. I swear, I could almost smell the fragrant Earl Grey and hear the clink of delicate china as I turned the pages. It's the kind of place you wish existed in your own neighborhood, where you could pop in for a scone and a spot of gossip.

Our amateur sleuths, Theodosia and Drayton, are as complementary as tea and biscuits. Theo's the go-getter, always ready to dive headfirst into a mystery, while Drayton's the cautious voice of reason. Their dynamic adds a fun layer to the story, especially when they're faced with a murder during a wedding they're catering. Talk about a party foul!

What I love most about this book is how it balances the thrill of the chase with the warmth of community events at the tea shop. One minute you're puzzling over clues, the next you're enjoying a festive gathering with the townsfolk. It's like getting two treats for the price of one.

And let me tell you, the red herrings in this mystery are as sneaky as a cat in a china shop. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, boom! Another twist had me second-guessing everything. The final reveal? I didn't see it coming, and that's the best kind of surprise in a mystery novel.

If you're in the mood for a low-stakes read that'll wrap you up in cozy vibes and keep you guessing, "High Tea and Misdemeanors" is your cup of tea. It's the literary equivalent of a warm hug and a wink – comforting, fun, and just a little bit mischievous. Perfect for curling up with on a lazy afternoon, preferably with your own steaming cup of tea close at hand!

Thank you, Berkley and NetGalley, for my free books.

I’ve read every book in this series and immensely enjoyed each one. This latest entry in the series didn’t disappoint. I rarely figure out who the killer is but I figured it out early on. However, it was fun learning how the murderer plotted their crime. I know Theo is the front and center of each book but for me the best part of each book is Drayton. He provides the balance to Theo’s sometimes crazy and brings humor to each story. I lived in Charleston for a time and love that books have an authentic Charleson feel to them. Additionally, the author does a great job of bringing new readers up to speed and you don’t have to have read the books in order to follow along. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a free eARC in exchange for review.

I am new to this well-established series, but it didn't take away from me being able to enjoy it. It did make me want to go back and read past books in the series though!

Theodosia has clearly been at this for a while (not 29 books in to this cozy mystery series), so she just jumps right in as soon as she suspects something is off. The beginning of the book starts off strong and really gets you interested. There is enough action to keep it interesting, and I didn't guess who the murderer was. I absolutely love the recipe and tea tips at the end!

This is my first visit to this tea cozy and its well established cast of characters. Even without reading the previous book, it is obvious Theodosia has a habit of throwing herself into mysteries and is successful in solving them. I like how she was described by Delanie as having a computer for a brain and an investigator's curiosity. That too came across loud and clear in the book as she was able to ferret out a clue with her cop boyfriend.
The beginning of the book definitely caught my attention with a very high stakes murder or attempted murder. It was far from typical and Theodosia wasted no time jumping into a potentially dangerous situation to try to save lives.
There are plenty of twists and a lot of finger pointing at other suspects as the story unfolds. I was a little blown away by the story surrounding Adam, it felt a little off to me that Bettina kept that one to herself because for me he would have been suspect number 1. I wont spoil the killer but I will say the stakes are high and the ending is fraught with action and drama.
In addition to the good mystery, we are treated to a few of Charleston in the fall and several yummy sounding recipes. Of course, we have the darling pets and I love the dog's name being Earl Grey as it fit the story. We also had a few witty moments. I swear I could hear the country song playing when Delanie was worried about Bettina making a scene after her live had devolved into chaos.
Overall, this was a good book and looking ahead at the sneak peak at the back of the book, it looks like Theodosia, Drayton and company will be back for another murder.

A tea shop should be safe, but Theodosius and Drayton have another mystery on their hands when someone dies at a wedding they are catering. Laura Childs writes such a fun series, and I hope the tea shop mysteries continue.

I love Laura Childs and the Tea Shop Mysteries. This one follows Theodosia Brown (tea shop owner) who is investigating after the greenhouse holding a wedding reception she’s catering collapses and kills one of the bridesmaid’s before the wedding even begins. Child’s creates twisty mysteries where the killer isn’t easy to guess. The atmospheric Charleston setting is almost another character and makes me want to visit every time I read her books. This is book #29, but you can start just about anywhere in the series. Thanks to NetGalley for the review copy.

Well I definitely did not guess who the killer was prior to the reveal, that one caught me by surprise. I do love it when the author is able to drop clues and have you thinking one thing only to slam you in the side with the killer and the reveal and it still makes perfect sense based on the clues you were given.

On a side note, Theo really needs to stop dragging Drayton into these dangerous situations, it is bad enough that she puts herself in these situations. Can't wait to see if Riley has anything to say about it in the next book.
