I really enjoyed this book! It was so interesting and I loved the mix of genres- fantasy, sci-fi, psychological thriller. It kept me so intrigued, I loved the mental health topics, and it kept me invested. I ready this book quickly, because the writing was so good. I loved the character development and the pace.

Mullins claims that this fictional book takes place way in the future but is written so well that the reader really questions, has it already been done? Think about it, after, these criminals are sentenced, where do they really go? Anyone experienced with the correctional system will admit, some just disappear, never to be heard from again.

The novel features a diverse cast of characters, each representing different facets of humanity and moral ambiguity.

Joe is a compelling character at the heart of "The Born Again." His journey of transformation is both dramatic and deeply engaging, reflecting the central themes of redemption and renewal. If, I give first-time author, Mullins any advice, it is to publish more books on all of the main characters that helped Joe. I look forward to each and will purchase each book with waited anticipation. Do not hold back because I am hooked.

This isn't my typical style of writing that I enjoy, nor the genre, but as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I loved this book. The character development is amazing and brings the genres of fantasy and psychological thriller together with a twist in mental health that I think most mental health professionals would enjoy. I think the author's background in theology also puts a unique twist and perspective into this book.
