Oh my word, I love these characters. Stevens and Alana are so great together. I love their quirkiness and love of words. The side characters almost steal the show in this story. Stevens Mom is hilarious! I love her use of slang language. Brigette is also delightfully crazy and hilarious. They both kept me laughing throughout the book. I also loved the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. There are You've Got Mail and Notting Hill vibes in this story and I loved it. This is a fantastic book.

This was a nother hit from Savannah Scott, I like the sweetness of Steven and kinds just overall loved the nerdy vibe in the book. I am sad to see this series come to an end but happy that this book was so fun to read at the end of the series.

Stevens + Alana = Perfection!!!

Y'all, I just can't even tell you how much I adored this book!!! It is another one of those that became an instant favorite book to be on my forever favorites shelf!!! I did not want it to end at all!!! I wanted more and more about these two. All of the You've Got Mail vibes were utterly charming and adorable! And talk about the swoon factor being super high on this one!!! Friends to more is the best ever!!!

I'm so sad that this series is over! This is book #5 in the Love Trippin' series and is one I highly recommend you not miss reading! You can read it as a standalone. But it is fun having read all of the previous books, except the first one (which I want to read soon), and being able to see all of those characters together throughout the books of this series and get to know them better and to see them after their book ends. I just love that aspect about series so much!

Another fun thing, this author has another book that I absolutely love and is on my forever favorites shelf and there are a couple of scenes where those characters are on Marbella Island and see a couple of characters from this series. So fun!!!

This book has so much heart to it that it's hard not to be fully pulled in and immersed and invested in these characters' happiness. All of the family and friend vibes just made my heart so happy. And really had me laughing over some of the antics of the characters, main and secondary ones! I just adore Savannah Scott's writing! She makes me so happy! I love that I know the books will always be clean and wholesome but move me emotionally and have me cheering for these characters to find joy and healing and love! I can't recommend reading this one enough!!!

Farewell Marbella Island, until I visit again in rereading these books!!!

Content: Clean. Some kisses but nothing further.

I received a copy from Victory Editing NetGalley Co-Op, via NetGalley. I have also purchased my own copy. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

I am so sad the love trippin series is over, but I am so delighted with Reel Love. I have enjoyed all of them and this one was just the perfect ending. (Except I seriously need Brigitte to have a book.)

Alana and Stevens are so sweet together. The thing I love the most about this particular story are the things I didn’t see coming and all of the connections they ended up making. No spoilers, you just need to read it!

Stephen is a crazy hot marine biologist and doesn’t know it. He's such a nerd...I love it. He wants to find someone he can take care of and that will like him for him and that feels like a good connection.

Alana is so down to earth and just wants to be herself. She wants to have someone know her and be there for her as she is, not just because she is a famous movie star. She is trying hard to do her own thing and no what her parents always expect.

With Stephen and Alana there are word games, ugly beards, beach picnics, tacos, boat rides, hidden identities, hotness while wearing glasses and so much more! We even get a visit from our favorite crazy dog Shaka. Don't miss out on this books and series! It's got some great You've Got Mail and Notting Hill Vibes.

Thank you NetGalley and Savannah Scott for providing me with an advanced copy to read.

"I'll always come for you. Don't ever doubt that."

SaturdayIslandGirl and Wordivore might be the cutest couple ever.

Stevens is a nerdy marine biologist and Alana is a famous movie star - you would think these two are polar opposites but in fact they are so similar! Playing online Scrabble anonymously for months, Stevens and Alana confide in one another, make each other laugh and banter all the while. They decide to finally meet one another and discover that they already do know each other - and the chemistry online is even stronger IRL!

Reel Love is a fun and sweet story, filled with laugh out loud moments and scenes that gave me goosebumps (looking at you, the photo wall revelation scene). This was a beautiful slow burn, and the romance between the two main characters is tender and sweet, something we all want our love life to be like! I think I NEED to taste Mitzi's Tacos - they sound divine! Brigette and Tank might have been my favourite side characters!!

Reel Love is part of a series but I read this as a stand alone book, all made perfect sense!

I received an advance copy from the Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and this is my honest feedback.

Reel Love is the 5th book in Savannah Scott’s Love Trippin’ Series. This time around the leads are movie star Alana and marine biologist Stevens, both of which we’ve seen as side characters in the prior books in the series. Alana is a drop dead gorgeous actress who uses Marbella island as her sanctuary from Hollywood (and her mother.) And Stevens is the marine biologist that lives and works on and around the island. The setup for this one is great. Both of them want to find that special someone but it’s not as easy as it seems, especially for Alana, who has a controlling mother who wants to micromanage every aspect of her life and career. Alana wants someone who will like her for more than her looks and fame. Both of them find refuge playing online scrabble (can’t recall what the game is called but it’s basically Words with Friends). The two have been playing each other for months before a twist of fate ends up bringing them together, though at first even then they don’t realize it. I love the growth we see in Alana, as she learns to stand up for herself and go after what she wants, with Steven also willing to fight for their relationship. And I loved the use of them having real history…yes, that is rather vague, but you’ll understand when you read it. If this is the final book in the series (and I’d gladly recommend them all to any romance lover) then it’s a worthy sendoff, but if Savannah wants to take more trips back to Marbella I’ll be more than happy to take another trip or three with her. I’d like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review an eARC of Reel Love.

This book was an amazing ending for this series. Alana was introduced in book 2 (A Fish Out of Water) but I had forgotten about her until this book, as I had assumed she was only a side character for that book. Stevens, who has popped up little bits throughout the series, is a perfect match for her. He is the perfect mix of nerdy, sweet, confident, brilliant, flirty, funny and calm. He had so many swoon worthy moments. I love how he and Alana met, every part of it. Savannah Scott is such a talented storyteller and her books are must reads.
This book is a standalone and can be read before you read the other ones, but you will understand Ben and the other side characters better if you read in order. Love that this book has no swearing and has kissing only, without the hint of more. It’s so nice to read books about relationships truly developing without lust getting in the way.

Alana and Stevens have been getting to know each other on a word game app over several months. They meet in person through mutual friends (characters from previous books) and like each other. The readers know that this is happening, but Allana and Stevens don't. We watch them getting to know each other in two different ways, and it is a lot of fun. It's even more fun when they start dating. Because this is a slow burn, we get to spend a lot of time with them as a couple. They are very sweet and funny together.

Reel Love is book 5 in the Love Trippin' Series by Savannah Scott.
This is a wonderful story with a lot of heart and depth, characters you can’t help falling in love with and cheering for, and a super swoony romance. I’ve enjoyed all of Savannah‘s books especially her Love Trippin’ series.
This book was written well and I enjoyed the dynamic between the characters.

“The one who found his way back to me through an online game, who ferried me across the ocean, tried to teach me to drive a boat, always believed in me and never saw me just as a movie star.”
⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️
Cast out your nets and reel this book in on September 16!! Soooo good! You know it’s a good book when you keep telling your hubby all about it! I loved all the quotes at the start of each chapter! I loved everything about it and have so many highlighted segments!
World famous actress, Alana Graves, and a marine biologist, Stevens, meet anonymously, daily on an online word game to decompress from their busy lives. Will they ever meet in real life? Would they ever want to not have this safe place where they can be themselves? Sweet, tender moments weaved into the storyline of how some relationships are destined to happen….will the waves of the sea bring these two together?
This is a standalone in a series of books but as this is my first of the series, I now NEED to read about all the side characters within!

Thank you, Victory Editing, for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

When an online game communication between unknown friends finds its way into the real world… You’ve Got Mail finds its way into my heart again! You will never go wrong with a storyline that has this vibe!

I’m a big Savannah Scott fan and this series (well, all her series) is so incredibly good! All of the previous characters are so important and play big parts, even though it could technically be a standalone - I don’t recommend skipping the earlier books because one, they’re amazing and two, learning the background of the island and the other characters is pretty critical.

Everyone on the island works hard at the Marbella Island Resort and are very good friends. Ren Stevens is a marine biologist and takes boat tours out occasionally, of the resort guests, when he isn’t doing big projects for companies to ensure they aren’t damaging the ocean ecosystem. His family has been on the island since he was born.

Alana Graves is a huge name in Hollywood. Her parents are too, even owning a production company. She has a place in a remote part of the island where she can escape from the spotlight (her family used to come when she was a kid), but has to employ people with NDA’s so she can survive with the essentials… She has a couple of friends, including another actress who lives on the island, Summer (from one of the earlier books in the series), a retired actress and Mentor Phyllis, and she sometimes joins the resort crew for social gatherings. Her parents are still trying to force her into a public relationship with her co-Star that neither wants.

This fun, flirty romcom when Stevens ends up as a temporary boat captain for Alana (when her regular one is unavailable and recommends him), is super cute! He’s her biggest fan with a huge crush, but they discover far more than just a fan relationship as they talk over the week he shuttles her around… and more than just an interest in online word games, too. I loved the way Scott packed in all the surprises this time - she’s always an incredible writer but this one is one of my very favourites! I highly recommend this one (everything she’s written, but especially this one).

I received an advance copy from the Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and this is my honest feedback.

Alana Graves is a movie star that loves playing word games as SaturdayIslandGirl with an unknown man with the user name Wordivore. She loves sharing little things about her day (but not who she is) with him and would love to meet him but knows it comes with consequences.

Stevens is a marine biologist who loves playing online word games and the movie star Alana Graves. When the two meet, and discover they’ve known each other for longer than they thought, their love story unfolds.

This story hit in all the right places for me. First of all You’ve Got Mail is like my all time favorite movie so you had me at hello right there. Then there were so many little nuances in it that reminded me of my own love story with my husband that it gave me all the feels.

Like, how awkward Stevens and Alana are when they first meet, my husband and I knew each other in person from church but we talked online so much to start out that it was weird talking in person (Trust me. It was AWKWARD! In the words of Stevens’ mom…Cringe. Ohio rizz #iykyk). And how Stevens and Alana played their online word game, my husband and I would play Words With Friends when I used to go on trips for my old job. just to stay connected and have fun.

I loved how Savannah Scott created awkward moments that made me fall in love with Alana and Stevens even more. I mean, Stevens’ costume for the ball made me laugh so hard but care so much about how he was going to get through the night. And Alana’s struggle between being a movie star and being in love tugged at my heart strings and care for her more as well.

Definitely one of my top reads of the year and highly recommend anyone to read it!

I received an ARC and opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Sweet, funny, and swoon worthy. Loved the writing and the characters. I wasn't aware that it was part of a series, but it can be enjoyed as a standalone book.

I loved how well the secret identity theme was pulled off and I loved seeing them falling in love. The writing really brought their emotions to the surface and the You've got mail is an added bonus.

I would love to read all the books in this interconnected series.

I received an advance copy of the book and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Reel Love, by Savannah Scott is a very sweet, slow burn, love story. This book was really fun to read and I adored Stevens and Alana. Their banter and relationship was so sweet and Stevens is an absolute dream of a book boyfriend. I haven't read any of the other books in this series, so I can't speak to them, but this one is very well written and the pace of the story is great. If you are looking for a steamy romance, this might not be the book for you. I normally like some spice in a book, but this one hit all of the feels so well, that I didn't miss the spice. I really enjoyed it and give it a 4.5 rounded to a 5.

A huge thank you to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the advanced copy. All opinions expressed above are my own.

Reel Lovely read!!!! it made me want to download a word game haha...They met via a word game but had they met before? I guess I never really paid attention to Stevens in previous books of this series but he is such a sweetie!! Nerdy but sweet and sexy haha I'm sad this is the last of the series, I'm kind of hoping she may do a spin off because there are a couple of very lovable side characters id love to read a story about! and all though this is a series you don't have to have read the previous but i recommend doing so anyway because they are all so good!

Highly recommend if you love swoony closed door romances!

This book was such a fun read. I absolutely loved Stevens and Alana. Their banter and relationship was the sweetest. It also had all the characters I’ve grown to love in the Love Trippin’ universe and that made me so happy. I really liked it!

Reel Love by Savannah Scott continues the Love Trippin in Marbella and might possibly be the best one yet! Stevens, the marine biologist, who has had a quiet role throughout the series finally gets his own story and it is perfect!! Not only is he incredibly intelligent, but he’s also kind, quirky, and a lot of fun. He’s an introvert, but the right person draws out the best in him. Enter Alana, his perfect match. Never mind that she is famous actress and lives in a totally different world. These two have overlapping moments in so many ways that when it all finally comes together, I was so completely content and full of joy. My heart was happy, and the smile never left my face. These two are so perfect together. Stevens not only stole my heart, he had me laughing out loud so many times I was not ready for this story to end. Enjoy catching up on some of the other characters we’ve met in the series, but in my opinion, these two steal the show!

Alana is a world-famous actress. She plays word games anonymously online and meet a man. They become friends and she falls for him without even meeting him...

Lots of fun banter. Love the chemistry. Really terrific humour with lots of LOL scenes.
An excellent rom-com.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

A great story , about two people who were meant to be together . Alana is a talented and famous actress but when she is not working she is living alone on Marbella Island and plays on her app scrabble and has a competitor Wordivore who happens to start to open up to him and they share few thinks about themselves but not their real names and job . Stevens is marine biologist , very handsome and introvert . When he gets a gig to taxi with his boat some celebrity he never imagined that it would be Alana Graves . While spenting two hours traveling back and forth to LA they become friends . When Alana and Wordivore set a day to meet in person then they see each other they can't believe that they alredy know each other . When Alana and Stevens start to date she has to keep it secret because for her new movie her mother and her publicist have made it look like she is dating her co star Rex . At the end what Alana will choose her love or her career ?
I received this book from netgalley , the author and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

Very well done take on You’ve Got Mail, but for nerds like me who play online Scrabble 😂

Stevens and Alana are super cute and, even though they come from way different backgrounds and Alana is a mega movie star, they seem to have so much in common and have great chemistry together.

This is the fifth book in the Love Trippin’ series (all closed door romcoms). I think I saw it’s the last one, but I’m hoping for a spinoff for Steven’s’ siblings and maybe even Brigitte/Tank. 🤞🏼

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Reel Love to come out September 16, 2024.
