I love every book Sandie Jones writes! This felt different in more of a family drama way but the suspense and mystery was top notch. I loved the dual timelines and the multiple twists at the end.

A great author can make you feel strongly about a character. I found myself questioning Nicole's street smarts - she made a lot of wrong decisions and didn't seem to learn from her past. She also seems oblivious to how her actions affect others. As a main character, I didn't really like her - sometimes I felt bad for her, while other times I kicked myself for feeling that way. But Cassie! Now that is a character to hate! She had an oily sinister vibe from the start. Even so, the story was a fatal love story, a dance through the glitter cocaine spray of celebrity, a tug on the strings that hold a family together - or pull it apart. The intrigue was eerie, with revelations coming at you rapid fire at the end. And that ending! It is a shocker! This is some great writing!

Oh I wanted to give 4 stars so bad. Loved the premise. Hottest boy band, love triangle with 2 sisters, psychotic groupies, drugs! But the characters were not very likable, situations not very plausible, and the ending was like huh?
Def 3.75.
Thank you, Netgalley, publisher, and author for the ARC.

I have read and will continue to read any book Sandie Jones writes. Even though this one fell a little short for me, I really enjoy all of her work.
I loved the dual timelines and the fast pace of this book but the big twists were not that shocking to me and the characters were extremely unlikable. Maybe that was the point? But I didn’t love that or love this one by Sandie Jones. I’m excited for what’s next from her though!

This had two time lines and I enjoyed the 80’s music scenes, crazy fans and band dynamics more than twenty years later time lines. Cassie is obsessed with a band and skips school, work and lies to see them and go to parties. Her sister Nicole tries to talk sense to her but it doesn’t help. They both have a relationship with Ben that tears the family apart.
Nicole flees to America to start a new life and move on. She has a husband and a daughter now but someone shows up at her door asking questions about the band. This has the power to destroy her happy family.
I had so many questions reading this book and so much that didn’t make sense that I found myself frustrated reading it. I hung in there until the end but felt the ending was rushed.

Interesting initial premise, but found this one to be a bit all over the place. Wasn't overly connected to any of the characters. Ending was not my favorite.

Sandie Jones is one of my favorite authors! I was so excited to see that she had a new book coming out and couldn't wait to get my hands on it. In "I Would Die for You," we are introduced to Nicole, a wife and mother, with a very interesting past. Nicole is connected to one of the biggest British bands of the 1980s. The story dives into two timelines, the 80s and today, and tells the story of Nicole and her sister Cassie, and the secrets they both hold. The story takes on exciting twists and turns until the very last page! I definitely recommend this book to any lovers of thrillers.

3.5⭐️
this is a fast-paced thriller that goes between present day and the 1980s. in the present, it follows nicole who is forced to revisit her past in order to protect her family. in the past, cassie is obsessed with the boy band secret oktober which leads to events that could tear her life apart. this was an enjoyable read, but the past storyline did bother me at times because cassie is only 16-years-old and makes so many frustrating decisions! overall, it had some good twists and kept me reading.
cw: substance abuse, sexual assault
thanks to netgalley and st. martin’s press for my advance copy of i would die for you by sandie jones. all opinions are my own.

This was a good idea for a book, but I think it got a little convoluted at the end. It was hard to untangle all the threads, which took away from my enjoyment.

I had hopes for this book because it sounded so good. It was pretty good but the ending ruined it for me. If the ending was different this definitely would have been a 4 star read for me.

I did not want this book to end and I had no clue that the last sentence I read was the ending! I was so bummed. This book kept me guessing until the very last sentence. Loved the story line, love the suspense and the characters and I am hoping there will be a second book! It was a great read!

First, thank you NetGalley and Minotaur Books for an ARC in return for an honest review.
This book is a solid 3.5stars and would have been a 4 star book for me if the ending hadn't irritated me so much. The book starts off with a Nicole, the loving wife that is out to save the seals in their hometown. Then a reporter shows up asking about the lead singer of a band, Secret October that was the love of her life a long time ago. Then the story starts to move between two timelines, 1980 and 2010 and story really begins. There is a lot that happens between then and now between Nicole and her family and the band's lead singer. Some twists were a jaw dropping surprise and others were a bit predictable, but it was a good story over all. The author creates the characters well and their stories are written fabulously. As I stated in the beginning of this review, I would have rated it a little higher had it not ended the way it did. I kept thinking I was missing pages or something and couldn't believe it ended that way.
I will definitely read another book from Sandie Jones in the future.

I enjoyed THE OTHER WOMEN by Sandie Jones & probably read some of her other books. I sat down to read this over winter break but it doesn't seem if the same caliber of her other book. It seems a bit cliched and more telling than showing. I read 20% but disliked the 1986 sections in London, that their mom was dying from cancer etc. I just have no desire to read further. The romance with a boy band member made me think of 1 of my fav books ever, THE IDEA OF YOU, but this was just not working.

I Would Die For You promises a thrilling mix of 80s nostalgia, family drama, and suspense, but while it kept me turning the pages, it didn’t deliver the gripping anxiety I expected. The stakes—especially in the present-day timeline where Nicole’s daughter goes missing—were high, yet I found myself oddly detached from the tension.
The dual timelines were a fun touch. I enjoyed the 1980s scenes with the vibrant music scene and the obsessive fandom around Secret Oktober. That part felt alive, pulling me into the chaotic energy of a teenager desperate for attention from her idols. Cassie’s fixation on the band, especially on frontman Ben Edwards, drives much of the drama, but it’s her actions that made me grit my teeth.
Honestly, I couldn’t stand either sister. Nicole came across as self-destructive and frustratingly secretive, which felt more like a plot convenience than a believable trait. Meanwhile, Cassie was insufferable—reckless, selfish, and a nightmare to deal with. I understand that her teenage immaturity was key to the plot, but she was almost unbearable from a few chapters in.
That said, the book has its merits. The exploration of how obsession, betrayal, and ambition can fracture relationships was interesting, and the past-present connection was well done. The mystery kept me curious enough to finish.

Thank you for allowing me to read this book as an ARC.
I have loved every single one of this author's other books but she has outdone herself on this one. At first I wasn't sure if I would get into it considering the story line with this boy band but I quickly found out that this is an amazing book and I could not put it down. The story alternates between past and present which makes it even so much more captivating. The characters are likeable even though you sometimes want to shake your head, but thinking about how people, especially teens, can go all crazy about their favorite band or singer, it is totally relatable! What a great read that will keep you glued to the book! 5 🌟 for sure!!!

This was unfortunately a DNF for me after 20% - I could get a sense of where it was going and would have appreciated a bit more in the current timeline by this point.

Thank you, NetGalley. St Martin's Press and Sandie Jones for this ARC.
I have mixed feelings about this book. There were moments I couldn't stop reading but then there were times that I felt this book was dragging. Nicole is the older sister and Cassie is the youngest one. Cassie is obsessed with a band and seems to take her crush to another level. It doesn't help that she meets another fan with the same mind frame. I understand that both girls were teenagers and teenage girls are a handful, but these two were toxic. Their actions end up messing so many lives. I'm also not sure how I feel about the ending. I feel like this book had so much potential, but it felt it fell a tad short of being a wow book for me.

I was expecting more from this story. I enjoy reading books by Sandie Jones….not so much this one. It was a ok read for me.
With that said, there are plenty of twists and turns in the story. And….so many secrets!!!
The story is a duel timeline read.
I will reread this book at a later date and see how it goes. I encourage you to read it and see what you think.

Sandie Jones' books are just underwhelming for me. I liked the idea of this one - two sisters both fall for a boy band star, and things go wrong. But Cassie, the younger sister, is an obsessive, delusional psychopath, and not in an interesting way. Nicole, the older sister, is more interesting in the earlier timeline, as an older sister trying to deal with her mother dying of cancer, a younger sister whose whole world revolves around a boy band singer, and pursuing her own love of music. That love of music leads her to cross paths with Ben Edwards, the singer Cassie is obsessed with, and the two end up falling for each other. Something that will not end well when Cassie finds out. Things do not end up well, but following what actually happened and who was responsible for what was incredibly confusing. The more recent timeline is a muddled mess from the very beginning, with Nicole now living on Coronado, hiding her past with Ben and her time growing up in England from her husband Brad. It starts with a woman picking her daughter Hannah up from school and then spends the rest of the book with Nicole in constant meltdown mode - about Hannah, about a woman showing up that knows about her past, about people being unhappy with the work she's doing, that her husband is cheating on her, etc. The "climax" of the book is pretty underwhelming too, ending in a whimper that does no justice to the paranoia and plotting that goes on throughout the rest of the book. A complimentary copy of the book was provided by the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love books that cover this information, long, lost bands, fans, secrets
The dual timeline told the story as it needed to
However, this was my first book by this author. It will definitely not be my last.
