While it took a bit for the readers to have the backstory revealed, once it was this story was explosive. I am an avid thriller reader and I was still enthralled. Even though many of the surprises were easy to see coming, it was the way they were delivered that was striking. The narrator was also very evocative and distinct in her voices.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and Storm publishing for my advance copy of this audiobook

This story is suspenseful without causing anxiety, and I enjoyed following along with Hannah as she pieced together the clues. I also liked the dual storyline strategy to help the reader understand what led Hannah to this point in her life. I was surprised in the end, and I think that is a true sign of a good mystery.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Hannah thought she had escaped her past, or at least moved on from it. But that all changed when she, her husband Jasper, and daughter Pia moved to what Hannah thought was her dream home. She soon found out that there were people from her former life also living in the neighborhood and when suspicious things started happening and Hannah's ally from the past was murdered - this story really took off. Just when Hannah thought she had made a new friend, everything she thought she knew started to come into question.

Told from Hannah's past/present POV, we quickly learn that she has secrets and these secrets that she thought she had left behind have resurfaced. As she faces her past we're met with many twists and turns, and in the end, you just never know who you need to watch out for.

The audio narration of this book was excellent Imogen Church does it again. This was a quick-paced domestic thriller full of suspense and surprises. Add it to your TBR list - you won't be sorry!

Story: 🌟🌟🌟
Narration: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Overall: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Your Little Lies is a twisty domestic thriller about a couple, Hannah and Jasper, who move to a seemingly perfect gated community. When Hannah meets her neighbor, she knows he recognizes her. Hannah cannot have anyone recognizing her.

Imogen Church is one of my favorite narrators and I requested this title for her. It was a fun storyline, but a bit too long. Church elevates the story and I was interested throughout.

ALC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This psychological thriller opens with Hannah who has just moved into a new neighborhood with her husband and daughter, and we learn pretty immediately that she has secrets that she is running from. The plot was interesting, although nothing completely new or surprising, but what really kept me interested was the character development. There were many characters that were more gray, and to me those are always the most enjoyable to try to figure out. As an audiobook it was an easy one to listen to and the narrator switched between the many characters with ease, which bumps this book from a 3.5 to a 4 for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape for the ALC in exchange for my honest review!

In all honesty, I did not finish. I had a hard time with the narrator and the voices she used, and although this is my type of story, it felt a bit slow.

I appreciate the opportunity to listen.

Thank you Netgalley, Dreanscape Select and Sue Fortin for the eArc of Your little Lies

I have read a few of Sue Fortin's books in the past and always enjoyed them. This psychological domestic thriller follows Hannah and Jasper who have recently moved into a secure gated community. All is not what its seems and their neighbour looks suspiciously familiar?
Sue Fortin has a great writing style which builds in both atmosphere, intrigue and some good foreshadowing,. The main characters of this book felt real and well fleshed out, with realistic personality traits.

You can easily imagine the gated community and the area that this book is set in. Its well described and in some parts, gets claustrophobic with the twists and turns, I love the psychological aspects of this book, it gets you thinking .When you feel that you have figured things out, something else pops up. The general pace of the book is medium with a great build up to the finale.

This book was narrated by Imogen Church and she has a great storytelling voice.

4.25 Stars for Storygraph, 4 Stars for Amazon, Goodreads and Netgalley

First off I didn’t like the narrator she seemed whinny to me. With that being said the book was good. It kept me queuing trying to figure out who everyone was and how they were going to be connected.

I really enjoyed this thriller. Part of me wonders if it is just because Imogen Church was the narrator or because the book was also good too πŸ˜‚. I think that woman could read the phone book, and I would give it at least 3 stars.

Honestly though, I did enjoy this book, the narration just made it better.

I enjoyed the plot, the one part that was a little annoying were the lies, but with the title of the book, I think we should all see that coming. And what makes this book better with the title, is we can all go in wondering who the "your little lies" refers to. I think that shouldn't be taken for granted when the book gets started, and that is revealed more and more as the book goes on.

I liked the character development, the plot, and the writing. I often find the writing in thrillers to be lacking, and this was not impeccable, but it wasn't mechanical either.

Definitely a solid thriller that I enjoyed.

Thank you to NetGalley for the audiobook to review.

The narration was great, the narrator changes voices for different characters which gave it some depth. I felt like there was some parts that dragged on and that it was too long. There was a few points the book could have ended perfectly. The twists were good and interesting enough to keep me interested. I’d read another from this author.

Moving to a new address doesn’t necessarily mean your past will stay behind!

Hannah has left her past in the distance. Ready to move forward with her new life, moving into their new luxury home in an exclusive community. Now she’ll be safe here, right?

But of course, the past keeps rearing its ugly head, leaving poor Hannah with nowhere to hide as all her secrets come spewing out around her.

This was a good, light domestic thriller. I guessed most of the twists but still enjoyed the ride!

🎧 I listened to the audio which only provided a single narrator Imogen Church. She’s one of my favorite narrators, and the primary reason I picked up this book. Overall, she did a great job (as always) though some voices came off better than others.

This thriller begins as Hannah and her partner Jasper are moving to a luxurious community on the beach with their young daughter, Pia. Life is beginning to feel like home, but then Hannah crosses paths with someone she recognizes from her former life. No big deal right? But pretty soon afterwards, there is a murder, and Hannah realizes that all her little lies have finally caught up with her.

I found this novel to be well-written, and almost fast paced. I liked the interesting premise and strong opening. It did decline in intensity and I felt climaxed a bit early,

That said, Your Little Lies is a quality addition to the thriller genre, affording readers a tense and satisfying experience.

I’ve been a fan of Sue’s for many years now, and I feel like each book she writes just gets better and better. I’m always excited to read the next.

Your little lies was a beautifully written thriller with exceptional characters.
The ending was πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ’‹

Imogen Church did a fantastic job narrating (as usual)

I was not expecting that reveal or that ending!

I love how Sue Fortin kept me guessing right up to the end. I can't wait to read more of Sue's work in the future. I had picked up a couple of Sue's books and they have been sitting on my TBR shelf for a while, they may have to move to the front of the line.

Imogen Chruch did a great job narrating this story.

"Your Little Lies" by Sue Fortin is a psychological thriller.

Hannah and Jasper have just moved into a luxury gated community by the ocean. Within a day, Hannah recognizes someone from her past, and then someone vandalizes their property. Hannah is terrified!

There are so many secrets being kept that it isn't too surprising that this house of cards starts to collapse. In the end, it still doesn't make sense to me that they moved to this community.. and that's all I can say.

Audio Book Review - When a book offers an intricate plot with twists and turns at every page, in my opinion Imogen Church narrates the tale absolutely perfectly. The accents, the tone, the use of silence, and the delivery it makes for a masterful experience.
The book itself is so clever that it catches you unaware, and delivers you a story with a swirl. The emotional roller coaster one feels is almost tangible and the smell of sea air very much present!

I enjoyed the twists and turns this audiobook offered. You can tell how much the female main character wants to protect her family. I had a harder time with the narrator, but I generally do when they have an accent (I know anyone could be considered to have an accent depending on where the reader vs narrator love. This narrator has an English accent.) Looking at other reviews it seems many are enjoying this title more than me, so I may be in the minority.

An interesting storey but I wasn’t hooked.
I found the narrator extremely difficult to listen to, every sentence was overly dramatic so I found it grating.
