Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Select for the ARC of this audiobook for my honest review

A very well done dual timeline mystery / thriller! The characters were well thought out and I really liked some , hated others and that’s just perfect. Jasper was my favorite. Daniel’s probably second hahahahah. The writing was incredible, I was curious the whole way through and without keeping us too blind to what was going on it was giving us just enough but not too much to be obvious which was very impressive considering the past and present timeline.
The twists were impressive and got me well, and I just overall enjoyed it. I just think some of the decisions the main character Hannah made were really dumb. However the story’s good so I can’t judge it too much if her dumbess was the only way it got there.

I'll be publishing my review on Goodreads and StoryGraph 30th September and on Tik tok most likely will add to a monthly wrap up post with review the beginning of October.

Your Little Lies is a gently paced thriller with small town vibes.

It wasn’t entirely my cup of tea - I felt that a lot of the complication could have been resolved more easily, Hannah could have shared her ‘big secret’ with her partner much earlier without concern, and some aspects felt too implausible to be coincidental. . However on the whole it was an enjoyable read, with an interesting premise. The small town setting made for a cosy and intriguing location, and I really loved Jasper - he was a breath of fresh air in this town full of deadly secrets! 3.5 stars rounded up.

I’m afraid the narration of some characters felt a bit ‘cartoonish’ which was a bit distracting in some of the more action packed parts of the book. On the whole though, the production was engaging, and kept my attention throughout.

Thank you Storm Publishing, Dreamscape Select and NetGalley for a copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was amazing as always. The storyline was interesting but parts of it were slow and predictable. It was a fine book but I don’t think it will be memorable for me. I did really enjoy the ending though!

Your Little Lies by Sue Fortin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really enjoyed this twisty thriller.
Audiobook narrator Imogen Church did an amazing job at bringing this story to life.

Hannah, her husband and daughter have just moved into upscale gated neighborhood. Coincidentally, Hannah learns she already knows one of her neighbors from her past. When said neighbor turns up dead, she is questioned by the police. She must find the killer before her family is next.

This one was just Okay for me, the pacing was a little off, it was truly slow in some parts and I lost interest. It was an interesting story with a surprising twist, but I just wanted a little more from it !

✨ Deep Liessss
✨ Twisted ending
✨ True Love

✨ Hannah is the main character in this story.
They were moving into a nice neighbourhood and met some nosey neighbours.
Until by coincidence , Hannah met an old friend from her past life. Which ended up dead all of a sudden.

This is the way Hannah’s old life coming back. What happen to Hannah’s past? Who is she really and why it hunted her?

✨ the narrator of this book is amazing! ( Imogen church) she did well execute the book. The drama, anger and even the cries. No wonder I just stop what I’m doing when she is in the moment. Well done.

✨ I love how supportive Hannah’s partner’ Jasper.
After what lies and hardship they encounter, he still supports her. Till the end. That gives me the plus points for this book.
Well worth it.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC.

I wanted to love this book but I didn’t. I am going to give it another try reading it rather than the audiobook version. The narrator did a good job, but I personally didn’t love listening to them. At times it was a bit slow, and I also found the timeline shifts to be confusing in audiobook format. I had a hard time keeping up with the characters and names.
There’s a good premise here but I will need another attempt to see if I actually liked the story.

A gripping read! Hannah, Jasper and their young daughter, Pia, move into their dream home. When Hannah realises that she knows their neighbour, a retired policeman, she is terrified. It is apparent that Hannah has a secret, but it definitely wasn’t what I thought it would be.

The book switches back and forth between the present day and ten years previously and we gradually learn what led Hannah to be in the position she is today.

I liked Hannah and felt that all the characters were well developed, realistic and if not all likeable, then definitely relevant and believable. There were a few good twists, the last one though, was a jaw-dropper!

The audiobook narration by Imogen Church was fabulous - she is hands down my favourite narrator!

4 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, Sue Fortin and Dreamscape for an ARC in return for an honest review.

Hannah and her partner and daughter have moved into a beautiful gated community where Hannah can finely feel safe. Safe from her past, a past her partner knows nothing about. But soon she is recognized by a neighbor, a retired police officer and strange things begin to happen. When the neighbor is found dead Hannah is suspected and then her whole world begins to unravel in a most frightening way. The secrets Hannah has fashioned her life on are now out. This is a really fun surprising thriller that I could not stop listening to. If you like thick twisty plots that keep you guessing this domestic thriller is for you. The audio version was excellent with great narration. Highly recommended. 5 stars.
Many thanks to Net Galley Nd Dreamscape Select | Storm Publishing for a chance to listen/read an ARC version of this audio book. All opinions are my own.

Overall I enjoyed this thriller, even though in the back of my mind I kept thinking that Hannah's big secret wasn't something she couldn't have told her husband from the start. She would have still been in danger when they moved, but she would have had him on her side to begin with! That aside, the way the different characters played into the story was well done and not knowing where the threat really was kept that suspense going.

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC audiobook in exchange for an honest review!

Title: Your Little Lies
Author: Sue Fortin

Genre: Psychological Domestic Thriller
Publishing Release Date was: September 6, 2024
My Rating: 3.5

Jasper and Hannah, along with their seven-year-old daughter Pia and their dog, Luna moves to beautiful Silverbanks, a gated community with a good safety record.
Hannah has been desperate for safety and thought she could found it in Silverbanks; however, until she meets their next door neighbors Bryan and Sandra Chamberton. Hannah recognizes Bryan a former police detective from her "former" life— he remembers her as Laurel and helped her in a murder investigation.

Story alternates between Hannah present and eleven years ago her past life as Laurel;
It appears Hannah/Laurel’s past has caught up with her and she is fearful for her new life.

I enjoyed this book and although it kept me curious at times I found it to be a bit slow. I found myself liking and then thinking Hannah/Laurel sure can be unlikable with that foul language.

I believe the narrator performance of some characters was great however some not so much. It seems my like and/or dislike of the characters was based on her performance of them.
I did like the ending!
I want to thank NetGalley and Dreamscape Select/Storm Publishing for this audiobook.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for September 6, 2024.

Hannah, Jasper and daughter Pia have moved into a lovely new home in an exclusive community. Everything’s rosey until Hannah meets her new next door neighbor, a police officer, and possibly the one person who knows about the past she’s kept hidden from her family. A solid domestic thriller

What an incredible story! I can’t even begin to imagine the hardships Hannah endured and the dark, twisted thoughts that can lurk in people’s minds. It’s so well-written that I have a hard time believing it’s not someone’s real-life experience.

Your little lies by Sue Fortin, narrated by Imogen Church. There is way too much in this long book to give a brief summary so I will say Hannah and Jarvis move into a gated community with their daughter Pia when Mrs Rooke the head of the HMO comes over to introduce her self on the first day she tells Jasper all about their neighborhood but it’s when she mentions the neighbor next-door that Hannah is filled with many emotions fear nervousness and dread it seems he is someone from her past and it’s a past that of course she never shared with her new husband Japerr. In the other POV we meet Laurel Matt and their son Declan when The reason for these two POV‘s being connected comes out in the consequences of trying to hide it it may just change everything Hannah loves about her life. I want to say I thought this book was way too long but having said that I still thought it was really good it was well written and despite the ending not be the not down reveal thrillers usually are I was still happy with it, I just think it could’ve been cut down a little more so as not to be over 10 hours long. I don’t like long books on my birthday but by the time I figured out how long this book was I was already invested. It’s long books don’t bother you or if you really enjoy thrillers I would still recommend it as I said it really was a good book. I have read other books by this author and really like them as far as the narrator goes I mean it’s Imogen Church of course she did awesome.#NetGalley, #DreamscapeSelect, #SueFortin, #ImogenChurch, #YourLittleLies,

The premise of this book is super straight forward: a woman has a secret and she somehow ends up moving next door to one of the only people in the world who know that secret. It could have been predictable and boring, but it wasn't! I was really fast paced and I was genuinely surprised by most of the twists.

I loved the contract between then and now, with Matt being so god awful and Jasper being a wonderful angel. I never had a hard time with the alternating timelines and I loved the ending!

The only part I wasn't the biggest fan of was Daniel's character. He was weird and creepy and some of his storylines were so unrealistic.

As far as the audiobook goes, Imogen Church never misses! Loved her.

This was another good thriller by Sue Fortin. A bit slow at first, but full of many surprises. I did not see the end coming. I enjoyed this mystery thriller.

I loved the twists and turns! Hannah was an incredibly strong woman, determined to keep her family safe. But the secrets and lies rippled through the pages and threatened to undo everything. Plenty of bad guys - but also, plenty of good! Highly recommended.
