This was a fluffy, light YA mystery that was good brain candy. It was slightly unrealistic and I also figured out whodunnit, but it was fairly well written (I loved the descriptions as well as the characters, slightly stereotyped as they were). Perfect nightmare antidote!

Didn’t read book. It sounded interesting but it wasn’t what I thought it was.

Axelle Anderson doesn't care about fashion, in spite of her pushy fashionista aunt, Venetia. All Axelle wants to do in life is solve mysteries. Axelle's parents though give her the birthday gift she never wanted in the first place: she has to go to Paris, to stay at her chic and a littlebit excentric aunt Venetia's house to learn more about fashion and beauty during the Paris Fashion Week. And hopefully stops being so clumsy beauty and fashion.Altough she doesn't want to , Axelle steps on the plane to Paris. During the week famous supermodel Belle La Lune, heir of a famous and wealthy family goes missing, it is a huge breaking news story on all the news channels and papers.

To solve this mystery, Axelle is contracted with a modeling agency, thanks to the network of aunt Venetia, to go undercover in the modeling scene. But during her investigation she finds a lead that leads her to other suspects outside the model world, and maybe even closer...

Model Undercover: Paris is a very entertaining and fun middle grade story set in Paris during the Fashion Week. Axelle is a kind of Nancy Drew mystery detective, who wants to be like her grandfather, who worked for Scotland Yard.
The story is so much fun, especially the sleuthing part. It is also a story with a great backdrop: Paris, and the author did a great job to portray the city very detailed.Add to it a budding romance with an annoying sidekick that turns cute along the way and a surprising end! Axelle is a brilliant young main character with a fun snarky attitude. Her aunt Vivian was her opposite, she has both a fun and a darker side to the story.

I think this fantastic crime of fashion will gain many young readers and fans, I as an adult reader found it a fabulous read!!
