Small town cowboy romance ,Zane a single dad with trust issues ,meets Trinity a speech therapist and there romance blooms over that summer .
I liked the concept of the story ,I found it an easy listen but for me personally I would have liked a bit more depth and character development as I think it had a lot of potential and I would have enjoyed seeing some aspects of it explored more .I do like a cosy book that can just be taken as is and I think that is the best mind set to take be for you start to listen to this book .The narrator done a good job and it worked well with the book. So overall a pleasant enough listen
Really sweet small town romance, no spice, featuring a single dad and a speech therapist. I liked this one a lot, I do think that it felt very rushed in some parts and the way that Trinity kind of just “settles” for Zane and he just accepts it without working through any of his issues was a bit off to me.
I liked the dynamic between Trinity and Zane’s son and how she not only helped him but became his friend and helped him in his relationship with his dad.
It was a good quick sweet read that I enjoyed!
Thank you to Bolinda Audio and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this advanced copy.
I genuinely do not understand how these two got together. They are attracted to each other immediately, Zane has a concerning level of distrust for women and Trinity (correctly) decides that Zane is not right for her. Then there is some kind of middle part and then they both internally come to the conclusion that they are in love. There is story happening, but there is practically no build of the relationship. Any struggle going on is happening internally, there is no real conversations or anything.
Regarding the characters themselves, I find it very strange that Trinity does end up settling for Zane and that her friend encourages it. She has a very concrete idea of what she is looking for in a man and they are very realistic and smart expectations. Zane fits none of these. Essentially this comes across as Trinity settling for a man she logically knows is not right for her and has issues that realistically I would find hard to deal with. Mainly, Trinity wants a relationship where she can be in control (was kind of hoping this would translate into the bedroom, but this is a closed door romance). It's clear this will not be the case with Zane. I'm disappointed that this requirement isn't explored a bit deeper and Trinity gives up on it so completely very quickly. The concerns she has are so valid and she just brushes them aside because "love"?
Zane on the other hand should not be let loose on the female population. Does he have trauma? Yes absolutely. But his level of distrust of women is absolutely bonkers and completely out of proportion. Especially considering that it's hinted at that his father was abusive (which Zane does recognize). Zane makes it clear several times (internally like everything else in this book) that he does not trust women in any capacity and that all of them are untrustworthy. He actually thinks this is completely logical, because he has personal experiences. He really is convinced this is scientific in some way. At the same time, he does mention that he somewhat regularly sleeps with women. Which gives me a very very weird feeling. Like.... It's clear he has no real respect for women as people and on some level seems them as one singular entity, yet he's fine using them for sexual pleasure. Very ironically this is an insanely accurate representation of what we criticize about real men that only see women in the context of sexual attraction and getting everything else from men. Zane has no business being in a relationship. And he makes no attempts to work on his issues. Basically he's a walking red flag, which is just very disappointing.
I listened to this as an audiobook and while I think the narrator did a good job overall, I don't know that her voice was the best choice here. The narrator has a very girlish voice that seems very young and I don't think it matches the tone of the book or the characters well.
I received an advance copy of this book by NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
This was a sweet romance where the characters have to learn to overcome their pasts and trust one another. Trinity is a speech therapist who is helping Zane's son. She at first thinks it's his nephew, but as they get to know each other more she learns that it is his son.
This is a super cute pg romance with no spicy scenes. It was still very intimate with the characters allowing themselves to be raw and open with each other eventually.
Thank you Netgalley, Bolinda Audio, and Alissa Callen for a free ARC of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
A sweet cowboy, small town cowboy romance. Trinity is trying to live the life she wants. She loves her job as a speech therapist, her friends and knows that her happily ever after is out there. Zane is dealing with betrayal from everyone in his life and trying to run his ranch and raise Finn, the most delicious little 5 year old boy. When the school year ends she continues to spend time with Finn to help him and so begins the will they, wont they dance. A quick easy light, but oh so sweet listen. I hadn’t listened to or read the first two in the series and it wasn’t an issue. Perfect as a standalone book.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bolinda for an advanced copy of the new audiobook copy of this book. The narrators voice was very relaxing and I enjoyed listening.
The book was very lowkey and an easy listen, if not a little boring.
I wish this had been marked as the 3rd in a serious. There is a lot of people that we are suppose to know. The main story was good but I feel like I would have enjoyed it more had I had the background of books 1 & 2.

Oh, now this storyline is just too cute. Speech therapist Trinity Redfern knows her perfect match is out there somewhere. Cowboy, Zane Nash, has heeded life's lessons: never trust anyone, especially a woman. When they meet, sparks start to fly! Her Big Sky Cowboy is book three in the Wildflower Ranch series and can be read as a standalone.
The audiobook is good; the narrator did a good job bringing these stories to life.
The ebook is out now, and the audiobook will be released soon.

Thank you, Netgalley, and Bolinda Audio for the audiobook in exchange for my honest review.
Her Big Cowboy by Alissa Callen is going to be released on Oct 1rd, Thank you NetGalley and Bolinda Audio for giving me access to this audiobook!
It follows Trinity Redfern, a determined speech therapist who meets her match in the reclusive rancher Zane Nash. Tasked with helping Zane's young son, Finn, learn to speak again, Trinity is drawn into their world for the summer. Zane, who’s sworn off trusting women, finds his walls slowly crumbling as he watches Trinity work wonders with Finn.
I had difficulty because only one voice was doing both voices and did not alter their voice much but otherwise the characters' chemistry is undeniable, it was heartwarming and very sweet, slow-burn romance!
This was a sweet story about a strong woman not willing to give up on her man! Zane had several reasons to not trust and let people in having been burned in the past many times. With his son in mind he lets Trinity in to help heal his son but also himself in the end. I thought the narrator’s voice was very sweet and calm in telling this story. Thank you to NetGalley for this free advanced copy. I’m leaving this review voluntarily
A rancher and a speech therapist? Yes please! This was so good and Jessica Preddy did a wonderful job narrating. Her voice really bought the story to life. Zane is an untrusting single father who recruits Trinity to help his son Finn who has stopped talking since the death of his mother. I am obsessed with the dynamic between Zane and Trinity. I have never read anything by Alissa Callen prior to picking up Her Big Sky Cowboy but that is about to change. If you are looking for a sweet no spice read, a single dad romance, or if you are just in your cowboy romance era definitely pick this one up!
