This was my first Leonie Mack book and I was pleasantly surprised! And I now have a new place to visit added to my bucket list. Cividale del Friuli sounds beautiful!

This is cute take on the 'one night stand and met again' trope, that I love. The main characters both had there own struggles and I loved that these struggled didn't just vanish after they met but that they worked together the help the other.

What a great romcom!! This is a first for me by this author but will not be my last. It was such a cute story! The writing style is great and I loved the characters chemistry.

what a cute book! I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the the setting. This book has single handedly convinced me to want to live in the italian country side! Although I do love low stakes romances, I found myself a little annoyed at the characters solely due to them not acknowledging their feelings towards the other. I wanted to see some yearning and begging yet the first 80% was awkwardness from the characters denying their chemistry. In all, i’m super happy I got to read this book!

It follows a woman struggling to bounce back after a breakup and failed business in Italy. She wants to move back to Australia but has to work at a farm in the mean time.
First time reading this author. Cute little Italian love story. I enjoyed the character conflicts not only with themselves but eachother too. Unfortunately I didn't feel enough of a connection between the two. Their intimacy felt rushed and without foundation.
Still was an easy read.

A simple Italian love story of a woman getting back on her feet after she and her ex broke up. I liked the premise of volunteering for room and board. The writing is not my favorite, I felt as if it lacked depth. There was a
bit overuse of Italian verbiage and not enough description of scenery and depth of feeling. I didn’t get to connect with the characters because of this.

I was drawn to "In Italy for Love" by Leonie Mack for its promise of a romantic Italian getaway. While the book certainly delivered on the picturesque setting, I found myself wishing for a bit more depth in the story and characters.

The Italian backdrop was absolutely enchanting, and Mack's descriptions brought the sights and sounds to life. However, the plot felt a bit predictable, and the characters lacked the complexity I craved. While Lou and Nick were likable enough, their connection didn't spark the same passion I had hoped for.

Despite these minor shortcomings, "In Italy for Love" is a charming read that offers a glimpse into the beauty of Italy. If you're looking for a lighthearted romance with a touch of Italian flair, this book might be just what you're seeking.

A sweet and funny story . Two strangers meet and have a passionate night and they believe they will never meet again . But that not the case and the next afternoon are meeting face to face and have to live together . They both had come off from bad relationships and they don't looking for new one . Will their broken hearts heal together ?
I received this book from netgalley , the author and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

Julia is stuck in Italy, with an expired passport, a rundown B&B, and still living with her ex, Luca. Rather than ask her parents for help, she decides to help herself - and heads in the opposite direction of Luca, to work on an olive farm, hopefully earning enough money to pay for her passport to be renewed and a flight ticket back home. The farm that she winds up on is beautiful, and the locals very welcoming to her. Julia intends to not get romantically involved with anyone, but then she meets Alex who also has made the same promise to himself. Alex is also in a rut, but then things start to feel differently for him once he meets Julia.

This was a great story for romance, yes, but also really good character growth, especially for Alex, I felt. He had been through a lot, which actually made him very relatable, and he learned to overcome. Julia, also, was relatable in that she was able to problem solve and learned to come out on the other side of things.

Argh I love Leonie and her beautiful books with gorgeously summery covers. This is no exception. A gorgeous story her characters always feel real and the stories unwind realistically

Thank you NetGalley & Boldwood books for allowing me access to this eBook! In Italy for love by Leonie Mack will be released Oct 22th and it follows Julia Volpe who flees the remnants of her failed Italian dream to work on an olive farm in the quaint town of Cividale del Friuli. Still living with her ex and struggling to move on, Jules is determined to rebuild her life—but she hadn’t counted on the beauty of Italy or the warmth of the locals to break down her walls. When she meets the enigmatic Alex, a man with his own reasons to avoid love, Jules’ resolve to stay single begins to waver. I liked how Italy was described in this, so so lovely! It's a journey of self discovery and healing for the FMC which I really liked to read about!

Wholesome, beautiful and heartwarming. As a fellow lover of Italy (despite the Italian bureaucracy) it was picturing an Italian small town very well.

Would have loved to read this book in first person perspective since it’s written from both Jules and Alex’s point of view.

Will recommend!

Alex and Jules

Such a sweet story.

Jules is from Australia but a few years ago she followed her heart and moved to Italy. Well, that was a huge mistake. She is now broken up with him but has still been living with him for a year. She has to go. She can’t stand another minute there. So, she packs everything she can up, and off she goes..her dog following her. With her bank account low, she has few options. Even fewer with a dog. She’s in luck, a farm across Italy has a job available for housing. Perfect. Onward she goes. Once arrived, she meets Alex. He’s playing the accordion outside and she’s intrigued. Maybe this move won’t be so bad.

Alex has had a very difficult past few years. Life has not gone his way and now his life is just a monotonous loop. His family is worried, as he never smiles. Alex doesn’t know how to move forward. As he’s playing one evening, Jules approaches…and he smiles.

Such a beautiful story. Your heart goes out to Alex and you instantly want the best for him. Definitely a story of growth, family, and love.
