I love fantasy and really wanted to enjoy this one. I found that this was more about my preferences in what I like in a fantasy instead of what the author wrote.

I found that I do not care for first person POV and found the writing style was a bit purple prose for me. Again,this was more on my own personal quirks and not mainly the story and author.

Sadly, I did not finish this one because of the topics I mentioned.

Frankly, I do enjoy the storyline of the book.
I love the adventurous spirit of the main character
I enjoy the suspense and the way the Author tries to explain each of the feelings felt by the main character buh the rate at which the Author explains the feelings continually is really a sore eye.
The Author keeps conveying the same messages through different sentences which occurs so often that it makes the book really suffocating.

I really do enjoy the storyline though.
