Book 2 in the Haven River Ranch series is live! When the tropes for this book dropped you better believe I was jumping up and down. Accidental pregnancy? It’s ALWAYS gonna hit for me and that was no different here. From the very first moment Jax and Sasha met, you could feel the sparks and tension. I also can’t resist a little bit of forbidden thrown into books and with Sasha being an employee at the ranch, it added the perfect pinch of “stay away from her.” Which of course he didn’t 🙂↕️ Coming back to this world was everything I hoped it would be! I absolutely devoured this one.
The audiobook is narrated by Ava Erickson and Stephen Dexter and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Let me just say I think I found my new favorite trope, accidental pregnancy. Devney just knows how to write a good accidental pregnancy story line!
Sasha & Jax I just loved them! The chemistry between them and my god the BANTER (I love the banter)!!!
And being back in Haven River Ranch wishing it was a real place!
Sunlight is not only a cowboy romance it’s also a beautiful story about family & forgiveness.
Thank you Valentine PR & Devney Perry

Sunlight by Devney Perry was everything I love in a romance. Watching Sasha and Jax fall in love while navigating the challenges of preparing for their baby was a beautiful journey. Their connection was sweet, steamy, and filled with emotional depth. Devney’s characters always win me over; Sasha and Jax were no exception. I loved Sasha immediately—she’s witty, strong, and had a fantastic sense of humor. Jax was patient, caring, and kind; he’s a man who doesn’t hold back. I admired how he stepped up to support Sasha. Their dynamic was perfect, and the tension was off the charts. Even though Sasha tried to ignore the heat between them, one unforgettable night and a pregnancy test later, the handsome cowboy was in it for the long haul. The chemistry between them was electric, and once they gave in? Wow. The steam was unreal. I appreciated how Devney blended tender moments with sizzling scenes, making their romance feel authentic and earned. The world Devney creates was captivating. Haven River Ranch has become one of my all-time favorite fictional places, and I often found myself wishing I could visit! The found family aspect of the story was heartwarming and abundant. I was shocked by a plot twist that hit me like a ton of bricks and brought me to tears. If you’re looking for a romance with chemistry, sweet moments, and a whole lot of steam, Sunlight is a MUST-read.
The audiobook, narrated by Stephen Dexter and Ava Erickson and produced by Brilliance Audio, is absolutely amazing. I’m so glad I got the chance to listen to it! I’ve always loved their performances, and this one has quickly become one of my favorites from both of them! The instant chemistry between these two was undeniable, and both narrations captured the tension and longing perfectly, making it even more immersive.

4.5 stars!!
I think I loved this one more than the first one. The angst and miscommunication occasionally made me want to shake our MCs a bit but otherwise I really loved them together!
Jax was quite the playboy in the first book and he really seemed to have matured and grown up in this one. I like that he was still cheeky enough to bring Sasha’s walls down.
Accidental pregnancy is one of my favourite tropes and I hadn’t actually read the blurb before reading so it was such a pleasant surprise! It was very cute how all in and yet utterly terrified both MCs were over the weekend bb.
I assume that after a certain two characters were caught red handed that means they’ll probably be our next couple in the series! I’m not sure but I hope so because I’m so not ready to say goodbye to Haven River Ranch just yet.

Deveny Perry delivers again. I love this series so much, I can't stand the fact that it may stop at some point. I never want to leave.

f you love an accidental pregnancy trope, sunlight by @devneyperry going to hit you right in the feels. The chemistry between the characters is undeniable, and the emotional rollercoaster kept me turning pages (or in my case, listening non-stop). And somehow despite the accidental pregnancy Devney managed to make this into an excruciating slow burn! What I loved most was how the story beautifully captured the unexpected turns of life and love.
Also, huge shoutout to the audiobook narration by Stephen Dexter and Ava Erickson! They brought the characters to life perfectly—the emotions, the tension, the tenderness. If you’re an audiobook lover like me, you’ll be totally hooked!

Sasha & Jax’s meet cute was super fun! I love a good meet cute that’s not in another book. When Jax asks out Sasha, she almost says yes but then he introduces himself to her with his full name. The second she figures out he’s her new boss she bows out quickly. This throws off Jax but not as much as he comes face to face to her the next day at her first day of work. Sasha pretends like she is meeting him for the first time.
Couple months later, they still don’t talk to each other but when she needs a new place to live, Jax’s sister in law offers Jax’s guest house. At the Christmas party, Sasha drops her walls for a second and they end up spending the night together. The next day, Sasha acted it never happened. 6 weeks later, Sasha finds out she’s pregnant. When she tells Jax, he promises he’s there for her and the baby.
What I love about this book is that it’s paced very naturally. Even though Jax falls first and Sasha has some secrets, they both get to know each other on a realistic pace. They truly become friends and then lovers.
Tropes:

Cowboy Romance
Forced Proximity
Accidental Pregnancy
Reformed Playboy
Workplace Romance

No Third Act Breakup

This was such a cute book. The story between Jax and Sasha finding each other after their childhood trauma and overcoming that to raise their own child was beautiful. I know alot of people dont like the pregnancy trope and i myself sometimes dont like it but this one was well executed and i loved it! Another beautiful book by devney perry. I love this series!

Such a great read! Devney Perry really never disappoints with her small town romances. Loved it so much and would definitely recommend!

The narrators did such a great job brining these characters to life! While I enjoyed the first in this series, I really thing this one earns my fave spot. It was just so fun getting to see these two fall for each other in less than ideal circumstances. Plus I have a weakness for protective men hehe.

Phenomenal! My most favorite devney book to date! Jax and Sasha’s chemistry immediately was amazing! So sad this series is only two books

Sunlight takes place on Haven River Ranch, with our manager Sasha and West’s brother Jax. Jax has always had an attraction towards Sasha and she’s really the first woman to turn him down, until one hot steamy night that turns into a positive pregnancy test.
I was so excited to return to Haven River Ranch because I fell in love with this place and the characters in Crossroads. I was really excited to read about Jax’s story, since he became one of my favorite characters in Crossroads, and I knew when Devney announced it was a surprise pregnancy I was sold. Devney can write really amazing surprise / accidental pregnancy books and I knew she’d do a great job with Jax & Sasha’s story 🤍 what I loved most about this story was the way Jax stepped into that daddy role, like he was made to be a dad. I loved that Devney added some mystery to Sasha’s story, and overall really enjoyed the book :)

Sunlight is a small town romance. Surprise pregnancy trope. But its done in a cute way. Sasha tries to navigate and keep things completely professional, but the chemistry is there and keeps growing. And Jax Haven is so wonderful,

“It's never been temporary, baby.”
After meeting Jax in Crossroads, I was so excited for Jax and Sasha’s story in Sunlight.
I loved Jax and Sasha’s meet cute! These two were the perfect match for each other. Sasha was a bit difficult throughout the book, but Jax handled her just the way she needed with care and patience. I loved the lies and secrets thing! Getting to know more about Sasha throughout the story, you come to understand her more. And Jax, well, you can't help but fall more in love with him! He's a perfect backward baseball hat wearing cowboy! Devney writes a great accidental pregnancy!
Stephen and Ava did an amazing job bringing these two characters to life!

After falling in love with the Havens in Book 1, I was so happy to listen to Book 2, and what a treat this was. With fantastic narration and a plot that will keep you guessing, it’s sure to be a reader-favourite.
Sasha is the new hotel manager at Haven River Ranch, and after bumping into Jacks before she starts work, the chemistry between them is undeniable. I love how Devney keeps you guessing right until the end about what she’s trying to reconcile from her past. Both Sasha and Jacks have complicated family histories, and we watch as they figure them out.
Jacks is persistent and eventually gets his woman, and as much as Sasha tries to resist it, ultimately, she just can’t.
I’m not usually one for surprise pregnancy tropes, but I really enjoyed this one. It was taken to the next level with fantastic narration from Ava Erickson and Stephen Dexter. They brought the emotions and the chemistry.

You know those books that you just know you're instantly going to vibe with. Well, that was Sunlight for me. We get a glimpse of Sasha and Jax and their animosity towards each other a bit in Crossroads, but I was not prepared for these two.
Sunlight is an enemies to lovers, at least from Sasha's perspective. Jax, on the other hand, has been intrigued with Sasha from the moment he spotted her fighting over a shopping cart at the local grocery store. Things seemed to be going great as they got to know each other until Sasha found out he is the owner of the Ranch she's starting the next day.
From there, Jax tries to needle his way into her heart while Sasha would rather shove a needle into a voodoo doll that looks like Jax. Even when she becomes his neighbor.
But after the company holiday party and a few drinks for courage, Sasha admits that her animosity has been a front to hide her feelings for Jax all along. And well, one thing leads to another... and Sasha winds up pregnant.
I really liked watching these two work through their issues and finally realize what they've always wanted could be right in front of them.
5 stars, 500 stars.... I loved this book!

I loved this book so much. Definitely a top read this year! The narration was excellent and the story was phenomenal. I laughed and cried and everything in between!

“Jax Haven was the type of man who’d move mountains to keep a promise, even if it destroyed us both.”
It’s so good to be back at Haven River Ranch! From their grocery cart meet cute, I knew I was going to love Jax and Sasha’s story. And boy did they put me through the wringer! All the tension and pent up lust with this accidental pregnancy romance had me hot with anticipation.
“Sex was not the reason I’d come to Montana. A fling with a hot cowboy was not why I’d uprooted my life to endure a miserable winter.”
There was a lot of mysteries surrounding Sasha’s past throughout the book, her secrets were closely guarded, and she didn’t let anyone in. But I loved how Jax broke through with his “Tell me a lie, tell me a secret” line of questioning. I laughed at how Jax was so arrogant and cocky in his flirtation with Sasha, but she was having none of it once she realized he was technically her boss at Haven River Ranch. She closed herself off to anything with him, that is until a few glasses of champagne led to a little fun between the sheets and a big surprise neither were ready for or expected! I loved how once Jax’s got over the surprise of having a baby with Sasha, he embraced it. He had to put in a lot of work to get Sasha to let him in, but the payoff was worth it! Overall this story really built the anticipation of uncovering Sasha’s secrets while simultaneously having me fall in love with Jax’s never ending cowboy flirtatious ways!
“He kissed me like he was settling in to kiss me for the rest of my life.”

I always love a DP audiobook and Sunlight was no exception! The narrators are perfection and I was unexpectedly touched by Jax and Sasha's story. Accidentally pregnancy can be a hit or miss for me but Devney Perry always makes this trope work in the best possible way. I didn't like it quite as much as Crossroads but a solid story and I'd be really excited to see a third book in this series about Jax's best friend!!

OBVIOUSLY LOVED THIS BOOK. Devney Perry always slays for me and this is no exception. she writes such fun accidental pregnancies. Haven river ranch has my heart!
