Thank you NetGalley for the audiobook arc of " A Not So Fictional Fall" by Savannah Scott.
Such a fun and wholesome rom-com! I very much enjoyed the story and the narrators were great. I thought the story could have had a bit more suspense or some kind of obstacles the MCs have to overcome but overall I enjoyed this audiobook a lot.

A fun beach/poolside listen. I think a perfect book as a "palate cleanser" if you're previous read was heavy but you'd still like to get a well crafted story. I "read" this book through audio and the narrators did great. Each did their own characters and supporting characters well. I found no fault with the accents. To this American they sounded spot one! I appreciated the no long pauses that often can pull me out of an audiobook. For the story itself I must say marriage of convenience isn't my favorite trope so I was slower to get into the story but that is certanily a your mileage will vary and not on the author. I did enjoy myself while listening to this and getting into the story. Suspend a little disbelief and go enjoy this story! I found in the story great flow, characters, dialogue.
A few highlights:
*Pierre's family and best friend. So hilarious
* The final scene in the last chapter at the fountain
content info.: closed door but not squeaky clean, light marriage & bedroom humor/innuendo, no language
4.5 stars
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are 100% my own

I loved reading this book so I was so excited to see that they were releasing an audiobook. A Not So Fictional Fall is the sixth book in the Sweater Weather series.
I have to admit that I was a little disappointed with the audiobook. I think that the narrators just weren’t the best for me. I was so sad because I loved this book so much but the narrators made it harder for me to listen to it.
However this may still be a great fit for others. I know that many will love these two narrators and the story is still really good. I loved the romance between these characters and listening to them work through their struggles. I also love how it was dual narration, where the male narrator narrated all the male parts and the female narrator narrated all the female parts.
A Not So Fictional Fall is a lovely book and I would recommend this audiobook to those who enjoy rom-coms and enjoy some accents in their narration. A Not So Fictional Fall is a closed door romantic comedy.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

"A Not So Fictional Fall," part of the Sweater Weather Series, offers a delightful escape into a cozy world filled with romance and autumn vibes. This fake marriage that turns into a real one delivers a sweet, low-spice read that’s just perfect for fall.
The story blends humor and heart, showcasing the ups and downs of an unconventional relationship, complete with some amusing lost-in-translation moments. While the characters might not be the most unforgettable, their journey is engaging enough to keep you hooked until the end. The chemistry between the protagonists is evident from the start, which makes the plot feel a bit predictable.
Overall, this book is ideal for anyone looking for a light, feel-good read. If you’re in the mood for a sweet romcom that captures the cozy spirit of fall, "A Not So Fictional Fall" is a lovely choice.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this ARC.

I really enjoyed the plot of this audiobook - I liked the way it played out with the hidden identity becoming public. I found it nice and light-hearted so was a nice easy listen. I enjoyed the interaction between the characters really sweet too!
I wouldn’t say the performance was my favourite I’ve ever listen to too but was still performed well on the whole.

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (3.5/5)
This was a nice little palette cleanser after reading some suspenseful thrillers.
I even learned a tiny bit of French while listening to this one.
Savannah Scott books are always nice easy reads. I usually don’t go for the instalove trope but I liked it in this book. You could really sense the bond and draw between the MCs. So I really enjoyed that.
The only drawback for me (and it’s totally a “me” issue)….the audiobook made me chuckle a little because at times I thought the male voice sounded like a cross between a Frenchman, Pepe Le Peu, Borat and Count Chocula 😂🤣😂. I think my brain just isn’t used to accents so it took me a minute to get vibing.
If you’re looking for a sweet romance (no spice) then definitely pick this one up.

Savannah Scott is the queen of sweet rom-coms. She builds a town/ world that welcomes you right in.
I read these two out of order, no big deal there. I love this small NC town filled with good coffee and loveable characters.
The narration is great and brings these two to life making you swoon and fall in love along the way.

A sweet and swoony rom-com with fake marriage, lots of romantic moments, French accent and funny scenes and so much more. Pierre and Tasha’s first encounter is unconventional. She was going to meet her favourite romance author but turns out she is not a woman but a very attractive man. Their relationship builds slow but strong and is so sweet. The audiobook with Amañada Friday and Tyler Hyrchuk is excellent with the friend words and accents.

Savannah Scott and her narrators do it again!!
I've read this book, and oh my — listening to it on audio takes the story to another level! There were so many cheeky moments I didn't catch when I first read the book. The narrators bring this book to life and give Tasha and Pierre a special flare. I will definitely recommend these t to others and will be on my rotation of audiobooks to listen to when I need a pick me up.

I was excited to read this RomCom because sometimes I just want to envelop in a fun & flirty story that will immerse my imagination in anything other than reality lol. Plus, I love a fake dating trope with a HEA. This book was had a fun storyline that hit all the RomCom marks through and through. There attraction between the characters early on in the story and it develops slowly which leads to a fake marriage until they truly fall for each other. It was exciting to see their feelings develop and how difficult it became to hide it as the story progressed.
While I liked the storyline, I wasn't as fond of the narration in the audiobook. I tried really hard to listen to the audiobook solely for the story. The Male MC, Pierre, is supposed to have a French accent but I could not get past the fake accent.

Just didn't really feel connected to the characters at all. The French accent was a bit over the top.

I loved this so cute very bookish and set in the fall time. Tasha and Pierre was so cute Pierre with a French accent made me swoon. I listened to an audio copy I loved the performance it was recorded in duet style.

Darling Rom Com to get you into the fall weather, sweater weather mood!! Loved the narrators and timing of the audiobook. Definitely recommend preordering this one!
Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this ARC!

I wanted to like this more than I actually did. The blurb literally describes most of the story. Tasha goes to a conference to meet her favorite romance writer. The big reveal is the author is a man, Pierre Toussaint, writing using a pseudonym name. And in another convenient twist he is staying near her home in North Carolina where he is writing while doing his North America book tour. A fraudulent marriage is proposed because of visa issues.
I found the characters and the story uneven. Tasha is longing and lusting for him because he writes her favorite books, is handsome and French. His comments about her are that she is a nice friend to do this favor. I didn’t feel the connection. Tasha’s continual praising him in her mind was repetitive and his character seemed shallow. He was kind to her and a gentleman but that isn’t romance. This book is part of a series by different authors with the connection being the town of Harvest Hollow. The story has shared kisses with an eventual closed door moment. I wasn’t familiar with the author or the series but the story can be read as a stand alone.

This is my second audiobook I’ve listened to with this FMC narrator and I just don’t love her voice. It makes the character sound permanently annoyed even if she’s not. The MMC narrator on the other hand is superb!! That accent was literally the best part of this whole book 🤌🏻 This book did fabulous with including different accents, which made it so much fun to listen to!
So I had sworn off reading Savannah Scott books because I always end up disliking them. Since I listened to this one as an audiobook versus actually reading it, I didn’t dislike it as much but I still didn’t love it. Maybe having a different FMC narrator might have helped, but idk if even that would have made me like this story. There wasn’t anything particularly wrong with it; it just didn’t click with me.
Things I liked:
🍁 Meeting Amelie De Pierre
🍁 Marriage of convenience trope
🍁 The French accent 🤌🏻
🍁 Godiva & her British accent
🍁 Pierre’s sisters
🍁 Cher (but it did start to get annoying towards the end)
Things that made me cringe:
🍁 The FMC narrator’s whiny voice
🍁 The morning after the wedding
🍁 The way the FMC thinks and talks
🍁 Rene (he just rubbed me the wrong way)
🍁 Stuart (the voice they used for him was so annoying and his character in general made me roll my eyes repeatedly)
🍁 The way the narrator’s keep saying Tasha’s name so weirdly
🍁 Pierre being so awkward and not knowing American phrases
🍁 Pierre exclaiming over every single French word Tasha says (plus always remarking on how great her accent is)
🍁 The whole last cringy hour
Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook. All opinions are my own.

I will eventually read all of the Sweater Weather series! Another great addition to the series. Marriage of convenience and miscommunication tropes. The premise is a bit of the stretchy but it’s fun. The narrators were great. Duet POV, lots of different accents. Both narrators are just so talented.
I received a copy from Netgalley and the publisher.

Insta love marriage of convenience romcom.
So fun reading a book about an author with a secret identity and a bookstagrammer who loved his work while she believed he was a middle aged French woman only to meet him and realize she was pleasantly wrong. I really enjoyed this one

I wanted to like this book. The cover and title alone piqued my interest. I however was not impressed with the story.
I will try to read it again, in print. I am not a fan of this audible.

This book has all the Fall Feels that I needed to start the season. I listened to the audiobook of A Not So Fictional Fall and loved it. I loved listening to the MMC with his cute French accent. I loved the story and how they met. The setting was great and added to the Fall Vibes I want and need. I am ready for a trip to North Carolina now!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this advanced audio copy of A Not So Fictional Fall, in exchange for an honest review.
