This is the second book I have listened to in the Sweater Weather Series and I absolutely LOVED it. Amanda Friday and Tyler Hyrchuk narrated this audiobook and they were fantastic!! I couldn't stop listening to them tell this story. Tyler's accent was so swoon worthy and I could listen to him talk all day! I also loved that this was a duet narration. This was such a fun marriage of convenience story. Pierre and Tasha were just a match made in heaven and they had no idea what they were in for. I had so many laugh out loud moments. I was swooning like crazy and smiled so much throughout this book. I felt like the story and all the characters were well written and enjoyable. If your looking for the perfect fall weather book then grab this audiobook NOW!! You will not be disappointed. You will be smiling until the end. I would highly recommend this book.
Thank you NetGalley and Audio ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for allowing me to listen to this ALC for my honest opinion.
Savannah Scott, how do you do it every single time. I read this book when it came out, but hearing it read to me was even better. Tasha and Pierre are so swoony, and it's just such a great book. The audio of this is fantastic and I think everyone would love it!
Thank you Netgalley for an arc of A Not So Fictional Fall by Savannah Scott
This is a cute, sweet rom-com with some great fall time vibes. I love the marriage of convenience trope, but this one falls a little flat for me as the connection between the FMC & MMC isn’t strong at the onset and their reasons for agreeing to the fake marriage don’t feel well thought out.
The narration is excellent and the MMC’s French accent is great!
This was a good time romance read! If you're looking for a romance where you want every detail to be believable and reasonable, look elsewhere, but if you want a fun fall slow burn romance - pick this up ASAP!
I was so grateful to receive an audio ARC of A Not So Fictional Fall, and I had a great time. The narration was captivating and fun. I have no idea if the french accent was accurate or authentic, but it certainly sounded great to me!
A devoted fan of romance novelist Amelie De Pierre, Tasha is thrilled to meet her idol. She’s shocked to learn that Amelie the pseudonym of a man named Pierre, handsome and charming with a captivating French accent. Their meeting ignites a spark, and to her shock, his agent proposes that Tasha and Pierre unite in a green card marriage. Can this be the start of a real-life happily ever after, or is it just a fantastical dream?
This is a sugary sweet, low-conflict rom com. It’s plot driven without much character development. I enjoyed the audiobook narration.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Oh, how much I adore both Savannah Scott, and the Sweater Weather series!
I’m a huge Savannah Scott fan, and this series (Sweater Weather), by multiple authors - it is so incredibly amazing! All of the authors involved are “sweet and swoony,” aka clean or closed door romance writers. I read all but this book last year when they released… I was saving it because I didn’t want it to end. I know a couple wrote spin-offs, including a sequel to this story, which I did already read, and gave myself a few spoilers - but I’m also glad I waited, because then I got to experience it in audio like the rest of the series.
I loved the idea of the fan-girl meeting her favorite romance writer at a book convention, with her Booksta-besties, just to discover, in a very messy meet-cute, that “she’s” the very hot French Professor she was eyeing in the lobby earlier … how appropriate for a Booksta reviewer, who would love nothing more than for this to be reality, to be reviewing the audio of one of her faves books with this storyline (sorry, Patty, I know you’re a woman! 😂).
The plot is going to be hard to beat - Tasha meets her favourite author, Amelie de Pierre, to discover she is Pierre Toussaint, the hot guy from the lobby where the book convention is happening, but she missed the big reveal because her friends were having some crisis or another… after he helps pick up the books she dropped when she’s getting over her shock, they share a special moment, and later when they discover more in common a crazy plan is hatched by his team, and suddenly they find themselves in a green card marriage. A whirlwind if ever there was one, it’s just such a fun storyline.
One of my top Scott reads, and even better having waited for the audio release… yes, even with the spoilers from the second book, about our main character’s sister meeting our other main character’s best friend! This sat in my KU library a long time waiting for this audio release to come!
The audio was excellent, narrated by Amanda Friday, and Tyler Hyrchuk. He did both a great American and a good French accent, when voicing Pierre. Both new to me, and both gave a great performance. Definitely get the audiobook for this one!
This is such a fun, very flirty romcom if ever there was one. If you’ve read any of the Sweater Weather books you’ll find so many mentions of locations and characters that will be familiar. I love series done like this! I absolutely recommend this one, and the entire Sweater Weather series - great for the fall! The follow up book (Valentine) is fantastic as well, with her sister Heather, and his BFF Rene.
I received an advance listen copy from the Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and this is my honest feedback.
A Not So Fictional Fall is romance written by Savannah Scott. The book was absolutely adorable! Perfect for a cozy fall read!
The book was Narrated by Amanda Friday and Tyler Hyrchuk. I enjoyed both to their voices.
Publication date is October 9, 2024.
Such a cozy read, perfect for fall! So charming!
Tasha is a bookstagrammer who's attending a book signing where her favorite romance author Amelie De Pierre is set to have a first public appearance. But it turns out, a person behind swoony novels is actually a man.

I am LOVING the Sweater Weather series, and A Not So Fictional Fall is another great title! Savannah Scott's book tells the story of Tasha, a romance reader and author's assistant/audiobook narrator, who has a meet-cute with the romance writer behind her favorite books, Pierre, and, in a convenient progression of events, finds herself married to him. Pretty soon the lines in their not-so-fictional marriage of convenience become blurred, and they end up falling hard.
This was a fun spin on the marriage of convenience trope, especially with the added touch of his feminine pseudonym, and I enjoyed the author leaning hard into the French aspects of Pierre's life and personality. However, I felt like the relationship lacked substance. The first impressions the characters had of each were pretty much the extent of the depth that was developed, which was disappointing and made for a lot of repetition throughout the book. I also felt like Harvest Hollow was an afterthought, and I missed the cozy vibes and humor that the small town connection could have provided. Re-reading this in audiobook format was fun but only highlighted the parts that were missing for me last time. The production value of the audiobook were good, but the male narrator's French accent sounded off to me.
Thank you to the author via Victory Editing for gifting me with an ALC to review! All opinions are my own.
Thank you NetGalley and Savannah Scott’s team for this audiobook.
This is an amazing book and I loved it so much as an audiobook! The treehouse, the rules, the banter! So so good!! You can read it by itself or you can read it apart of the the Sweater Weather series
A Not So Fictional Fall is the sixth romance in the Sweater Weather series. Tasha loves the author, Amelie De Pierre, and when she gets a chance to go to a book convention with her bookstagram friends to meet Amelie she jumps at the chance. She has run over many possible scenarios for meeting her writing idol, but none of those scenarios involve Amelie De Pierre actually being a smoking hot guy, Pierre Toussaint. There is an instant connection between Tasha and Pierre and when, weeks later, Pierre’s agent calls Tasha in for a meeting to ask for Tasha’s help she says yes.
I’ve read the first book in this Erie’s, but none of the others until this one. This series intrigued me because each book is written by a different author centered around the same fall theme. I’ve enjoyed other books by Savannah Scott and this one was no different. This was a sweet, quirky and fun romance that hooked me from the beginning. The characters were great and perfect for each other. The storyline was new a different for me and I really liked how Pierre was Amelie De Pierre. I listened to the audiobook version of this book and it was very well done. I really enjoyed how the male and female narrators worked together throughout a chapter to do the male and female dialogue instead of just switching chapters based on POVs. I don’t think I’ve listed to another audiobook quite like this and I’d like to see this more. Overall this was a fun book to listen to and I enjoyed my time with Tasha and Pierre. If you are looking for a fun fall romance this book is a good read!
I was sad when the story ended. I loved the characters. The fall theme was amazing. Unique plot. Definitely will recommend.
The audiobook of this story is more entertaining than the ebook. I thought it was too slow when I was reading, but the narrators did a great job of bringing the emotion and humor out. It felt more like a slow burn this time. The characters are enjoyable, and the story is funny. I recommend this in the audio version.
This book just works for me. I loved Pierre and Tasha. They are interesting, relatable, intriguing, complex, entertaining characters. My attention was captured from the very beginning and held until the last word. Their romance and the path it took to get to their HEA is entertaining. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. The story is easy to read and get into.
I enjoyed the audio version of this book and the narrators.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
My thanks for the audio ARC goes to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op. I'm voluntarily leaving a review.
Genre: Romance, Romcom, Contemporary Romance, Sweet Romance
Spice Level: Kissing! This is a sweet book.
Let's just talk about the narrators—there are two, and they both did a fabulous job! The French accents made me think of my time in Paris. I love it when there are two that separate the male and female voices! Kudos to them.
A NOT SO FICTIONAL FALL absolutely caught me, and it delighted me from beginning to end. This is the first book I've read by Savannah Scott, and I will definitely read more.
Sometimes, I don't love hearing both points of view, but in this case, it was so delightful. Tasha is fun and busy with her life and excited to meet her favorite author. *Surprise!* In comes Pierre on the scene.
Pierre loves writing romance. But romance in his own life is not in his plans. We find out a bit about his background, but mostly, we just get to be charmed by him and his best friend.
These two together were *chef's kiss!*
I highly recommend this book. It's fun and funny. Get the audio book so you can enjoy the accents.
Happy reading!
Thank you Netgalley and Audio ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the free alc. My opinions are being left voluntarily. I found the voices very distracte
ING and felt that the mmc voice did t sound anything like a French accent which took away from the story as I was distracted and confused me.
3.5/5☆
I was given a copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
This was an extremely adorable closed door rom-com. The story, a true Hallmark Movie story, was familiar, but executed very well! The trope of foreign man needs a marriage of convenience to be able to stay in the States for work, but ends up falling in love for real? Come on, how cute is that?
Pierre was the perfect gentleman throughout the story. I loved the moments of using French when he was feeling overcome with emotion. (Namely love for Tasha)
Speaking of Tasha, she was a very kind person and such a fangirl. I can totally relate to that! I enjoyed her progression had her becoming more confident and comfortable in her relationship with Pierre.
The audiobook was well read! I think the voice actors did an awesome job portraying their characters and especially loved that the male and female voices, no matter who was reading the chapter, was done by the respective actor. That was a fun bit to add in that we don't see all the time in audiobooks.
Overall, if you need a cute pallet cleanser for fall, this is the perfect fit!
A sweet marriage of convenience tale that loves all things fall.
Tasha is so excited to meet her favorite author, Amelie de Pierre, at a book conference, but is shocked to learn Amelie is the pen name of Pierre Toussaint. The strikingly handsome man has been writing the romance books that make Tasha swoon. When Tasha keeps stepping in to help Pierre during the conference and they are photographed together. Pierre's publicist has the idea that Tasha can help Pierre in another way - marry him to avoid issues with his visa while he's in the US for his reveal tour.
Overall it was a cute romance. The language differences between French and English provided some fun scenes. The story hits all the points of the marriage of convenience trope and is perfect to read curled up in a sweater on a fall day. I would recommend reading the physical book over the audio as I found the narrators to be a bit too over the top. The narration was too cheesy and campy for my taste.
My rating of 3 is for the audio of the book, I would rate the book itself a 3.5.
Wholesome and sweet. reminded me of The Proposal.
Tasha goes to a book event to meet her favorite author who turns out to be a man who’s been writing under a pseudo pen name. Pierre is sophisticated and French with a sexy accent who’s hidden his identity from fans for years. She’s a book promoter and narrator from NC. Books are her passion and after a meetcute at his signing and winning a dinner with Pierre, they exchange numbers for future business endeavors. Only Tasha gets a phone call the next day from his publicist with an unusual offer. Marry Pierre and live with him for a year so he can continue to tour across America.
Told from both their POVs with a love quote at the beginning of each chapter. An arranged marriage of convenience. This was cute and wholesome, set in the fall season in a cute little town. While I like the concept, it was just a little slow for me. The majority of the book is the build up of romance in the timeframe leading up to the wedding. And when the wedding happens it’s very little plot that occurs before the book ends and then the ending felt rushed. Again, it just felt like reading the proposal (which there’s a comment about this movie in the book) only the character personalities were different and it’s set in a different state. However I did love the character personalities. Tasha was heartwarming and Pierre speaking French was enough to make you melt. The way they treat each other was tender and sweet the whole way through. I enjoyed the family interactions as well, especially Pierre’s very open and welcoming family. And if you’re looking for all the cosy fall vibes, this definitely hits the mark there.

A cute and cozy romance, with a Bookstagram style feel. A Not So Fictional Fall is book six in the Sweater Weather series. It was okay. The audiobook production is phenomenal with dual narrators! I love dual narrators; they're the best thing ever. Both narrators did a great job bringing this book to life.
