This is another great book!

I became a fan when I read the first book so I was extremely excited to read this one!

The characters were all well-developed and relatable. Lottie and Noah were just perfect for each other. I really enjoyed following their journey throughout the book! I couldn't get enough of them.

This is definitely a must-read book for fans of sports romance!

Thank you 8th Note Press for an advance copy of this book!

This charming football romance captures the journey of Nolan and Lottie, whose relationship begins with a bit of friction as Nolan struggles to let Lottie do her job. Over time, as they open up to each other, a genuine connection grows, and their feelings deepen. With Lottie’s family past and Nolan’s career concerns adding layers to their relationship, they face obstacles that make their story all the more compelling. If you’re in the mood for a heartfelt sports romance, add this one to your TBR!

I enjoyed this but was not crazy about it. While I finished it, I did find myself struggling to do so. The characters had great potential but I feel like I wanted more from their development.

Something about an athlete in their final year is gonna do it for me every time 😭😭😭😭😭

I had such a great time reading about Lottie and Nolan, they felt like real people and had fully fleshed out character arcs. I enjoyed that they had conflicts/growth throughout the book that was separate from the relationship. I love the found family here as well, the side characters are so likable abd really enhance the entire atmosphere. Why does the San Diego curse exist even in novels though I'm dying 😭 I really can't wait to see who else gets a book in this universe!

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, & the publishers who sent me this ARC to read & review! <3

Nolan and Lottie! I love them together!

They both need some TLC but they are both strong characters in the same. They work together to make him a stronger player, to keep him safe. Lottie is also able to help him become a better leader and help him see that there is more to his career than be the star quarterback. He can share his quarterback skills and knowledge. She helps him be a better and happier person. All the while he loves her through her daddy issues. Lottie was dealt a rough hand on the parent end, but she is mature enough now to grow from it.

The two develop feelings for each other, and one doesn't care that anyone knows (Nolan) and the other wants to protect her career. As a female in a male dominated industry, Lottie is careful to do her job beyond well and to not fall into the trap that male owners in the league are sure to put other women into. Nolan becomes all to aware of this and works harder to protect her and gives her time and space. Their agreement is to date officially after Nolan's last season, and when he contemplates playing another season the feelings established by her father come up, and she feels as though Nolan may choose football over her, just as her father did, her entire life.

Thank you so much for the chance to read this book! Can't wait to see whats next for Ally!

Going for Two is the first book by this author that I have read and I really enjoyed it. We follow Lottie, who just got a new job in the NFL as a therapist, and Nolan, the star quarterback who is fighting back from an injury and near the end of his career. I enjoyed getting to know these characters and the secondary characters as well. While this is the first book I have read in this series and by this author, it won't be my last and I really look forward to reading about Derek, so I hope he is getting a book too. Very well written. Thank you NetGalley and Ally Weigand for an advanced copy!

Going for Two

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“ Legendary quarterback Nolan Hill has one last shot at a Super Bowl, but it means rehabbing the old injury that’s threatening to end his career. When he meets his new physical therapist, Lottie Thompson, his guard goes up. This beautiful and infuriating woman says he needs a new game plan—and stubborn Nolan isn’t willing to concede.”

I really enjoyed the story line in this second book of the series. I liked the tie in to the first book very cute connections. I loved the characters in this book more than the first they were so much fun. The romance was written well and overall I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

I love a cute sports romance, and definitely don't think there are enough around football! I also really enjoyed this author's writing style—I liked the dual POV and the ability to hear their inner dialogue when having conversations with each other.

Lottie is a hardworking, female physical therapist in the NFL (not an easy thing to accomplish) who knows what she wants and how to get it (usually). Nolan is a hardworking, MVP, 2x Super Bowl quarterback on the brink of retirement after a knee injury. I loved that throughout the story they both worked through their issues (Lottie's childhood and her resentment towards her father and Nolan just not understanding who he truly is outside of being a QB). Lottie and Nolan starting with friendship and then watching them grow individually and then together had me rooting for them the whole time!

read if you like:
🏈 closed door romances
🫶 friends to lovers
🤭 amazing side characters (looking at your Derek and Olivia!)

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you so much to 8th Note Press and Netgalley!

I love football, so this book was right up my alley! It was such an enjoyable read, especially because Lottie & Nolan were so cute! I love their chemistry, but I especially love how they tried to make each other better people. The angst was just right given their respective circumstances and made things more realistic. I just loved them, okay?

The only issue I had was that it took a little longer for me to get into than with Ally’s first book. I don’t know why, but it just took a bit longer to sink into this story. But once I did, I had an excellent time.

Honestly, there’s not much else that can be said about this particular book. I just adore Ally Wiegand and cannot wait to read the next novel in this series when it comes out next year!

Thank you to NetGalley and 8th Note Press for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The story of Nolan and Lottie. The sportstar and the physio. A great read, I liked both characters and wanted everything to work out for them.

This book was amazing! The romance was so sweet and they supported each other so well. And their romance felt so genuine and real. I would highly recommend this book!

This was such a great read! Nolan and Lottie both have their own issues but the two of them together are as sweet as can be. He is a cinnamon roll with a grumpy exterior and she is a hardworking, take care of everyone else but myself woman. I was hooked from the beginning, through the closed door spice, and the final epilogue!

Our FMC has just secured her dream job as the head PT for the Chicago NFL team. Our MMC is the team quarterback, who has been struggling to recover from an injury and knowing he plans to retire this year. At first he hates the idea of her because of what she represents in his injury. But once he gives her a chance she proves she is there to help. She has spent her life to get to this point in her career, but now she feels like she has missed out. Her sister helps her to create a bucket list, and he helps check things off. But they can't be together since he is her patient.

I have read a few football romances where the player and the trainer fall for one another, but Going For Two, is probably one of the most well written with main characters that can talk about football and the trainer hipes up the players to help them play better. Lottie does not like to lose.

Nolan Hill is a legendary quarterback and is in his last season before he retires. He has come back from an injury but he is grumpy and not confident in his leg. When the new physical therapist starts, his guard goes up and he doesn't believe in changing his routine. When Lottie convinces him to give her a chance, he realizes that she knows a lot about football and can help him play to his strengths. He soon gives in and they form a working relationship, until the sparks fly between them and neither one of them can forget what happened, no matter how much they try to avoid one another.

Charlotte "Lottie" Thompson has gone through a lot throughout her life and she has thrown herself into work. She is determined, feisty, and vulnerable when she needs to be. I loved how she was willing to allow Nolan to spoil her and give her everything she never had a chance to experience. I loved how well her sister fit into her life, how close they are, and how she is willing to push Lottie to be better. I had a few times where I teared up while reading this book and I was just as excited as Nolan was during at the end of the book and all of the accomplishments he was able to reach before his retirement. I loved all of the characters and there are a few more that I would like to get to know, like Derek.

Received ARC in exchange for voluntary honest review from NetGalley.

I thought that Lottie and Nolan were so cute together. They understood one another and were able to completely be themselves. I’ve enjoyed Wiegand’s books and am excited to keep reading her.

I really enjoyed this sweet football romance! Lottie gets a job as the new physiotherapist who will be working with NFL quarterback, Nolan. I loved the grumpy x sunshine dynamic between Lottie and Nolan! They had great chemistry and I was rooting for them from the start! If you're looking for a good football romance to dive into, I'd definitely recommend this one!

This is a perfect fit for readers who enjoy steamy, tension-filled sports romances with strong-willed characters, particularly those who appreciate a grumpy-sassy dynamic, forced proximity, and forbidden workplace romances.
