Thank you to Oni Press and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this Arc!
"Is the blood of my kind not the molten coin with which all the world's accounts are settled?"
I’ve never played the game but the dialogue and the dynamic colouring really drew me into this one. I mean, that line above? Chills. Throughly enjoyable!

I have always wanted to play Cult of the Lamb. I have watched others play it and I have had a blast with the unique playthroughs and avenues players take while playing this game. It is so freaking cool to see how lovingly this comic adaption of the game was created.
It tells a powerful and heartbreaking story of a lamb burdened with power and as the lamb builds their cult the relationships they create become more complicated and the stakes increases ever higher.
The art style throughout is so high quality and detailed you can flip through the pages and notice little things across every page you didn’t notice the first time around. My favorite thing about the art is how it takes from the games art style and makes it work in this more 2d style.
They even make the boss fights in the game make sense in the story. They successfully took a story that can take many different roads and outcomes and made it linear for this, but without taking away from how the original concept works. This comic makes me nerd out so hard. This is everything a gamer could want from a different medium adapting a games story.
I cannot wait to read the following volumes and hopefully I will acquire the game in the near future. I truly love Cult of the Lamb.

I loved the art style of this one and just thought the lore was incredible. I had already heard of thr game and have since added it to my wishlist. I read a lot of graphic novels and the art on this one really stood out.

I am a fan of the Cult of Lamb video game so this was perfect for me. The artwork is fantastic and the storyline was great. I look forward to getting a hard copy of this when it comes out. Great work.

As a fan of the game, this comic is a beautifully cute accompaniment, but definitely also enjoyable as a standalone for anyone not heard of Cult of the Lamb before.

I have to confess that I did not know that there is a game with the same name. It is a bit dark and gruesome at places. It is a quick read but the opening makes it a bit hard for me to like it. A tad too violent.

A clever, cute and rather disturbing introduction to the story of the hit game. The Lamb is sacrificed then resurrected with immense power in order to begin a cult in the name of an arcane God and violently goes after his oppressors to save similar little animals that are being hunted and tortured. But will the Lamb fulfill his calling or will his power corrupt him? Beautiful colorful artwork, lots of graphic violence, and easily readable. A fun graphic novel and I look forward to the next volume.

Thank you to NetGalley and Oni Press for an Advanced Reader's Copy of this title!
"Cult of the Lamb" Vol.1 follows the titular Lamb on their journey from the depths of sacrificial despair to the path of budding cult leader under the watchful eye of The One Who Waits. As the Lamb's unholy powers blossom they begin their journey to bringing down the Four Bishops of the Old Faith, establishing their own reign on Earth.
I think fans of the video game - or even just the aesthetic - will really love this series! The artwork is breathtaking and vibrant, and the story so far follows the events of the game with some new surprises. The artists involved in this work definitely made use of every inch of page space when planning out the pages and I spent a lot of time taking in all the details and just enjoying the rich colors and aesthetic of the book. I watched a playthrough of "Cult of the Lamb" when it came out and really loved it and reading this comic really rekindled a love for the game and a desire to play it on my own now that I have some more free time.
This is definitely still an adult comic for adult fans of the game due to the themes of death, gore, and religious fanaticism so I wouldn't recommend it for young children, but is an excellent read for adult fans of graphic novels/comics! I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the next installment.

Great for gamers or non-gamers alike!
I have been wanting to play Cult of the Lamb for ages, but I can't seem to find a physical copy of it where I live so I've been waiting. Then this comic appeared and I got stupidly excited. It was a way for me to experience the cute, woodland animal, cult vibes until I manage to get the game.
I loved the art style and enjoyed the way the story was told. The narrator added, what I thought, was an interesting and unique storytelling element. It was very quick read for me because I just kept flipping those pages.
The only downside is now my want for the game has increased 10 fold.

Requested this ARC as the front cover illustration appeared very well drawn and 'cute'. But the content was far from cute - which was a refreshing twist!
Despite the cute illustrations, the storyline of 'Cult of the Lamb' leaned more toward the dark/ cultish following the story of a 'sarificial lamb' who was prophesized to be the great leader of the opposing rebellion.
Honestly a fun story as far as graphic novels go! Would be thrilled to pick up anything by the same author and illustrator again!

Fantastic!!
I had already backed this on Kickstarter because I am such a fan of the game, but when I saw the galley, I had to request, so thank you for the ARC!
The artwork is fantastic! The story is fun and there are so many little details that made me really enjoy it. I look forward to experiencing the physical copy. If you love the game, you’ll love this!
This would also be a great gateway into the game if you are into the genre.

Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for the eARC copy of this book!
I've been wanting to play the game for a while now but I've never had the chance to really look into buying it. But when I saw that it has a comic I was so excited to know the story behind the game.
The story fascinates me as it's not your usual cult-like behavior from the protagonist. I like that the protagonist is addressed in a neutral way because it's an entity not a person. I liked that the characters are funny and have some depth to them despite the quick introduction. My favorite character has to be Nana, the first supporter, she's so cute and devoted.
I will be reading the following volumes for sure.

I was curious to see how anyone would adapt the Cult of the Lamb game into a graphic novel, but to my disappointment this book didn’t work for me. The plot was too messy and the characters were mere caricatures.

I ADORED this art style! It was engaging from the very first page! I adore this character, the Endling Lamb is iconic as a main character and vessel. I found this a really quick read and really enjoyed seeing how the characters started to develop, the relationships that were built with Lamb were so interesting and the different dynamics that were shown. I really enjoyed this!

Video games is my entire day to day existence when im not reading so this cross-over was perfection. Given I just witnessed two IRL Cult of the Lamb weddings the COTL fever is high.
This was such a good intro into cotl, the artwork was stunning and tied so nicely into the cross-media universe.
I need more (pls)

I received a galley copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely loved this little graphic novel based on the video game Cult of the Lamb. It was cute and brutal and interesting and all the things that the game was. I really loved the game and this is just a nice expansion on its lore. Can't wait for the next one!

Absolutely loved this graphic novel! As I am also a fan of the game, it was nice to read this. The artwork was so beautiful and lovely to see.

I picked this up because I have always been very intrigued by the video game and I wanted to see if I would enjoy the concept - spoiler alert: I did! The art style was absolutely adorable and I loved the overall idea of this little lamb becoming evil and starting a cult to defeat these evil bishops. I think the graphic novel sort of fails in its execution. Even though the art style was really cute, it felt clunky when reading - it's a lot of dark panels that have a lot going on and it's a bit difficult to read. I also did not find the plot to be fully captivating but, Nana's character arc really pulled on my heart strings. I can see the series getting more heartfelt from here and something I could enjoy more.

3.5/5 - i enjoyed it, but also skipped a lot of text because of lack in old english vocabulary. it is rather diffictult for international fans of the game to enjoy this book fully.

I really enjoy playing the game on stream so I was super excited to see a adaptation as the artstyle is one of my favourites! A great graphic novel adaptation of the game! A great starter for newcomers and a fun companion novel for existing fans.
