So Into You is a sweet, heartfelt romance with a mix of lighthearted fun and deeper emotional moments. Britt Branch, an introverted vlogger, and Hunter Pickett, her unexpected painting partner, make a great pair. Their connection feels real and watching their relationship grow is super satisfying.

The supporting characters, especially their families, add a lot to the story and make it feel more grounded. The beginning starts a bit slow, but once it gets going, the pacing works really well. There’s a mix of serious topics like anxiety, divorce, and alcoholism; but the book still manages to keep a hopeful, uplifting vibe.

Melissa Moran does a great job narrating, giving the characters distinct voices and keeping the story engaging. I did get a little lost near the end, but honestly, it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

If you like romances that balance emotional depth with a feel-good story, this audiobook is definitely worth checking out!

I love how each person in this story had there own story line and they all meet in the middle. And you knew it was going to meet HEAD ON. I love the talks around mental health and what steps people go to help and how some try to help but really they are making things worse in the end despite there best efforts.

Britt was a great main character and I laughed out loud and just overall enjoyed the story and 2nd chances.

Thank You Net Galley for this Audio Arc in exchange for my honest opinions.

This was a good, clean, Christian romance. There were actually several romances going on at the same time. The characters were a bit simple, but enjoyable. Each one of the characters had flaws. It made them more compassionate.

There was an event that brought everyone together ( no spoilers ) and brought out a lot of issues and misunderstandings. I kind of saw it coming, but it didn't take away from the enjoyment of reading.

I have read Kathleen Fuller and I will read her again. I listened to this one and the narrator had a soothing good voice.

I LOVED this audiobook! Unique personalities, including social anxiety, people with a record, artists, a teacher, and hippies ;). Four point of views, two men , two women. Young and old. Divorced parents. All keeping a secret to shield each other and/or avoid facing the truth. Everything collides at a fancy party. The build up is more than great as I fidgetted not able to listen yet not being able to the inevitable. The best by Kathleen Fuller. Full of humor, love, forgiveness, and grace. Excellent narrator!

So Into You
A Novel
by Kathleen Fuller
Narrated by Melissa Moran

I received an ARC of this audiobook through Netgalley.

This is a really sweet story. I loved everything about it except the religious undertones.

The narration, storyline, world building, character development, plot - were all wonderful.

This book centers on Britt (anxiety ridden artist) and Hunter (good guy, rap sheet past). These two are clearly perfect for each other.

The secondary storyline focuses on Britt’s divorced parents. We meet friends and employers of the parents and learn of their past.

The story wasn’t totally believable, but that doesn’t bother me. I listen to romance for the happy fiction that it is.

Definitely recommend this one!

okay so my feelings for this book are complicated. i wanted to enjoy/love it bc its a christian romance and etc... but the characters and multiple pov's kept mixing me up. i did get an audiobook arc (and e-book) i loved the voices of the narrators and they made the story sound amazing.

the main plot was a good idea, but the way it was executed could've been better. i am happy with the ending tho.

britt : okay so she's our fmc and she has a major anxiety disorder, not social, artistic and has a youtube channel, super innocent. she's basically marinette in another font (older, more shy version) and i liked that. some ways she was relatable, but not completely. her not seeing herself as attractive/loveable felt very real and something that's easy to connect to.

hunter : i liked his character of reformed bad boy, him turning his life around was really nice and we don't really see this kind of representation in books that often. he felt really real and ik there's lots of people like him in the world. i feel like i didn't learn much about him in this book tbh.

to me this book felt like a short story with a bunch of people's pov's in 3rd person (maybe omniscient?) idek but like there was a part with britt's, hunter's. amy's (britt's mom), and even daniel (britt's dad) - the latter two which were completely unnecessary.

adding a bunch of storylines made it more like a movie- knowing everyones perspective and sorts and not like a novel. there was random info with her mom and dad, we only got introduced to a "second chance" over 70% into the book.

this book was easy to read overall and an okay read to start december with, there's definitely worse.
this was not my fav, but if you're looking for a clean romance and are fine with many pov's and side plots i'd definitely recommend picking it up. otherwise it may not be your cup of tea

thank you netgalley and thomas nelson fiction for an e-arc in exchange for my honest review

This book is everything I want in every book! It was sweet and the main character was so relatable! I loved the MMC and how he made the FMC feel safe! This story was captivating from the beginning to end! There is no spice which I loved so much! So into you was adorable and I will reread!

A cute love story that follows four different povs. Seeing Britt work so hard to overcome her anxiety was really heartening. It truly is a story about starting again and constantly growing as a person.
Britt’s quirks were too much at times but other times they were quite charming.
The only person that kind of annoyed me was Britt’s mom. I get that she really cares about Britt and doesn’t want her to suffer anymore from her anxiety but she felt overbearing. And her personal drama with Max also wasn’t my favourite.

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC of this Audiobook. This book was borderline creepy. I wasn’t into the main male character nor did I think the supporting characters were relatable. I wasn’t a huge fan.

I loved this book! Britt and Hunter’s opposites-attract story is so heartfelt and real. Their journey of helping each other grow is sweet, funny, and emotional. It is also deeply moving as they navigate significant issues such as anxiety, recovery from addiction, and self-improvement.

The narration was amazing—it felt like I was listening to a reality TV show, full of drama and charm.

So Into You explores the quiet battle of mental health through the story of Britt, a talented artist with social anxiety, and Hunter, a reformed addict. Their unlikely friendship grows into a meaningful relationship marked by personal healing. If you or someone you know has faced social anxiety or significant life changes, this book offers a compelling and relatable narrative.

Britt’s struggles with anxiety are portrayed with authenticity—her fear of judgment, discomfort in social situations, and feeling stuck in life. The book shows how anxiety can hold people back from pursuing their dreams, but Britt’s journey is one of gradual growth, full of setbacks and triumphs, especially in her interactions with Hunter.

Hunter, the reformed bad boy, is more than his past. His recovery from addiction and struggles with an estranged family add depth to his character. His journey will resonate with anyone rebuilding their life after past mistakes. Hunter’s quiet strength and patience create a safe space for Britt, reminding readers that change, even slow and messy, is possible with faith in Jesus.

Themes of second chances and forgiveness run throughout, particularly in the complex family dynamics Britt faces. The romance is sweet, but it’s the emotional journeys of Britt and Hunter that make their connection meaningful. While the story doesn’t delve deeply into surrendering your life to Jesus, Hunter’s Jesus-centered faith journey provides a quiet yet powerful message of grace and redemption.

Ultimately, So Into You is about healing, growth, and the tenderness of love. If you or someone you know has dealt with anxiety, addiction, or family struggles, this story offers both empathy and hope. Yet, marketed as Christian fiction, it misses an opportunity to deepen these themes by incorporating the transformative power of Jesus in a more substantial way. For readers who value stories that clearly center around the redemptive and transformative work of Christ, this book may leave you wanting more.

The audiobook version of So Into You is well done. It kept me engaged with the pacing and tone, making it easy to stay connected to the characters and plot.

I received a digital ebook and an audio ARC of So Into You from the publishers via NetGalley. I am not required to write a positive review nor paid to do so. This is my honest and unbiased review. My thoughts and opinions expressed in this book review are my own. My review focuses on the super writing and story’s beautiful content, ensuring transparency and reliability.

3.5 stars • Audiobook • I felt like this was a cute, palate cleanser and I felt like it had the same vibes as the rom-com “Crazy, Stupid, Love”.

I thought it was a cool concept that the story was told from 4 individuals who were all unknowingly connected, however I felt like the audiobook could have been a duet (or more) narration to give the full experience.

I liked the growth of each character as they battled their own hardships throughout the story.

Thank you NetGalley for providing this arc.

Britt is a successful artist on YouTube, but her social anxiety holds her back from so much in real life. Hunter has a bad boy history, but finds peace in her presence. Together, they find the rewards of taking risks and not allowing their pasts to dictate their future.

This book was such a good read. I enjoyed that it shed light on anxiety and addiction. There was family drama and learning how to navigate family dynamics and beautiful friendships! Britt and Hunter were both relatable in different ways. Britt had extreme anxiety and Hunter was trying to move on from his past mistakes. They brought out such good in each other. It was really endearing. They bonded over their shared love and interest in art and it bloomed into a really cute relationship. I enjoyed that this wasn’t just about romance. I liked that the secondary characters had a real story line and didn’t just exist in the background. I switched between the physical book and listening to it in audio as well. I really enjoyed the narrator! It was easy to determine when someone new was speaking.

A good story about hope and redemption. I have never related more to a mother-and-daughter relationship story. I was very happy to see the father back in his daughter's life but I didn't approve of the secrets they kept.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins Publishing- Thomas Nelson Fiction for this enjoyable audiobook.

A moving, heartfelt, multi-generational romance that has a divorced single mother reconnecting with her recovering alcoholic ex and her socially anxious daughter falling for another recovering alcoholic as they bond over a shared love of art. Good on audio with EXCELLENT social anxiety rep, this was a feel-good love story. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

So Into You is such an endearing story of letting go of the past and forgiving the people you love the most. Told from four different POV's (Britt, each of her parents, and Hunter), it was fun to see all of the connections coming together. I've seen mixed reviews about the duel storyline, but I really enjoyed it, even if I did relate to the interests of her "old mom" more than those of the FMC. 😅

The book was ok. it just seem like a basic book. I also found it a bit difficult to keep trying to listen to it.

Thank you NetGalley for the arc.

This is a review of both the story of So Into You, and the audiobook, which I received an ARC of and am now voluntarily giving an honest review.
So to start off a little bit with the story, Britt (Brittany) is a 28 year old with severe anxiety and a popular YouTube art channel, living with her mother. Interesting start, one would assume this book is about her coming into her own, making big changes, maybe getting some space from the near co-dependent relationship she has with her mother. That isn’t exactly what happens.
Through her YouTube channel, she meets Hunter- a guy near her age and struggling- he made some mistakes when he was a younger, spoiled and handsome rich kid, but he really wants to change his life around- enter Britt and learning art. Through the story, we see them grow to hang out more and possibly try out a relationship- which Britt has never had because of anxiety and Hunter never really had because he didn’t take life seriously. Their love story? Cute.
However, what you also get in this story is about Britt’s parents- divorced when she was 8, Britt’s dad has a rough history and wants to make it better, and her mom never had another relationship, using Britt’s anxiety as a crutch to not introducing other people into her life. Cue the semi co-dependent relationship between a divorced become single mom and her grown daughter who hide things from each other (as adults can do), but then completely unravel when they learn of the other’s lie. Honestly, the mom was my LEAST favorite character- she was always either tired, blaming Brittany, babying Brittany, or playing the “oh, I’m such a bad mother?” Card to Britt or the dad.
Sorry, I digress. In all honesty, without the mother’s perspective I may have given this a higher rating but I also really hated the third act breakup of it all. You could see where it was going to happen from a third into the book as everyone learned about this party and everyone was saying “I know I have secrets, I’ll tell ___ after.” But also, I’m used to a third act breakup as a romance reader. I didn’t love Britt’s side of things as much as how it impacted Hunter- I feel like he grew up much more and it really helped him, whereas Britt was still living with her parents and there was the wedding discussion at the end that made me roll my eyes.
All in all, this book had highlights and low moments, very sweet pining with Hunter falling first and it was really sweet to engage with his side of things the most.
Lastly, I’ll say that overall this was a good audiobook. The author definitely injected emotion and hurt/excitement to the characters’ voices where appropriate, but the hardest part about this audiobook was that there would be multiple character/POV jumps in the same chapter and it would be hard to recognize that from the audio until a different name was said. Chapters had very clear divisions, however. I liked the audiobook just as much as I think I’d have liked reading it on my own!!!
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!!
