The good: This book is full of a cast of characters that each have their own storyline that intertwines with the main protagonist. This keeps the pace flowing quickly, making it a fast, easy listen. Additionally the narrator is enjoyable to listen to.
The in-between: The book holds a lot of drama. The number of things going on with the characters was a bit overwhelming. This also made the book feel unrealistic at times as many of the characters had the same challenges.
The bad: I absolutely could not stand the mother in this book. She was far too much, I didn't want to hear her parts of the story.
Overall, it was a good book that simply had enough it it not to be great for me. I appreciated the narrator being easy to listen to as I feel a narrator can make or break an audiobook.

So, this is a classic case of me not fully reading the whole description and looking into what the author is known for before requesting and ARC. I am certainly not the target audience for this book. I would call it "wholesome" but I don't actually feel that way....the MMC was an absolute vapid, piece of garbage tool, and the FMC was a quivering whiny pick me submissive girl who, despite being a talented artist, youtuber, and beautiful girl-apparently has too much social anxiety to exist? Normally, I love a multi-perspective story-this was....a mess. The characters were all shallow, and they all felt like hollow personifications.
Not trying to yuck someone's yum-but I truly regret wasting my time finishing this one. I wish I had DNF'd it, but I kept hoping for a redemption somewhere. It's all good - they can't all be bangers, and again - it is just not my cup of tea (or any variety of beverage for that matter).
Huge thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins Christian Publishing for access to this Advance copy in exchange for my honest (sorry, lol) review.

If I hadn't been reviewing this book for NetGalley I would have DNF'd it for sure!
There are 4 narrators and the book flips between them without any notice. You have to figure out who the narrator is from the first few sentences as the scene quickly changes to something completely different. All 4 narrators are super annoying and frustrating, too. The whole book is driven by the characters keeping a bunch of secrets that really DO NOT need to be secrets!! Only one of the "secrets" is really excusable as a thing to wait to share.
The book is set in the DFW area but you wouldn't know it is set in a big city because only about 6 people live in this town, apparently. Every character is overly connected to every other character, just for the contrived drama of all ending up at the same party and having all of their "secrets" revealed at once in the worst way possible.
I spent over half the book rolling my eyes and waiting for it to be over.
Also a thing to note, its definitely Christian fiction.

To start, this narrator for this audiobook did a good job but it could benefit from a male narrator as well. There is also four different povs and only one narrator which gets very confusing throughout. The story is sweet and follows a mom and a daughter and their love interests. Britt is an artist with a YouTube channel.who has social anxiety and Hunter is a former delinquent who has started watching Britts channel and finds them soothing. They meet and Britt starts giving him art lessons while they start to fall for each other. Britts mom Amy has been divorced for 20 years and her father Daniel drives cars and is a recovering alcoholic. I wish this book followed one story instead of both. It made the story confusing
It also didn't seem that Britt was in her late 20s she seemed very immature.

I have listened to some great romcoms lately. The latest was So Into You by Kathleen Fuller. I loved it!

***Five Stars***
A FMC with social anxiety and a MMC in recovery? Yep, this was a good one! I loved how this story all came together. The build up to that party was...UGH!!!! You knew it was coming but you just had to hold on and get there. I loved all the representations in this book. It's listed as a Christian book but I don't honestly see it, it's definitely a closed door romance with zero spice but I didn't get the Christian aspect of it. Just in case that's what would turn you off from this book, don't let it.
Thank you to NetGalley, HarperCollins Christian Publishing, and the author for the opportunity to listen to and review this story.

Melissa Moran was the perfect choice of narration for this book. She has a nice voice & kept pace of the story perfectly.
Kathleen Fuller does it again!! Who knew that one of my favorite Amish Fiction authors could cross over into contemporary romance flawlessly?? I'm here for it.
Social Anxiety. I have it -- but nowhere near the level of Britt's. Finding a partner who can not only can help you through your hardships, but that is willing to stand by your side through it, is a remarkable feeling.
I have already recommended this book to others -- I know they will love it as much as I had!

I didn’t realize this was a Christian publishing book when I requested it. That part is absolutely not my jam. The book itself had a fairly typical romance book timeline. It’s ridiculously pg-13 and somewhat degrading to women. Second part is par for the course for many romance novels so didn’t bug me too much. Cute, “wholesome” story for the most part.

Thank you to HarperCollins Christian Publishing | Thomas Nelson Fiction for the gifted audiobook!
Okay, but this book was actually so adorable!!
I flew through this in a 24 hour period and just couldn't put it down!
I loved the mother/daughter dynamic and how they were each dealing with their own heavy life issues but also maybe a little bit of romance on the side. I thought the romance was sweet, believable and totally tender! There were great themes of second chances and redemption here and it was all done so delicately and realistically.
Overall, a super sweet and happy book with some true depth to it as well. I think this will be a hit for sweet romance lovers for sure!

So Into You was the second book I have read written by Kathleen Fuller. It was a fast-paced book that really caught me up in the story.
The character development was okay. It was interesting watching Britt work through her anxiety issues and how the past played into that. I would have liked a little bit more character development. It left me desiring more.
The storyline and setting were fun. Though the storyline was a little bit predictable. As soon as they started keeping secrets, I know it was all going to blow up in their faces. This would make a great hallmark movie.
The relationship was cute, though boarding on the side of too much for my liking.
The faith element was good. Though I would have liked a little bit more.
*I received a complimentary copy from the author and voluntarily chose to review it. All opinions are my own.

So Into You by Kathleen Fuller is a sweet Christian romance with a lot of heart. I found the story to be cute and engaging, and I appreciated how the author tackled deeper issues like addiction and anxiety. It was refreshing to see these topics addressed with sensitivity and care.
However, one thing that stood out to me was how much the book focused on alcoholism. While I understand the importance of exploring the struggles that come with addiction, I felt that it was emphasized a little too heavily at times. It seemed like every other character was dealing with alcoholism, which made the theme feel a bit repetitive. While it added depth to the story, I found myself thinking, "Who else in this book is an alcoholic?" It may have been a bit too much for me personally.
That said, the romance itself was sweet, and the faith-based elements were uplifting. If you're a fan of Christian romance and enjoy stories that tackle real-life struggles alongside love, this might be a good read for you!

4.5⭐️s. I enjoyed this so much. The characters were so real. Whether you struggle with social anxiety, alcoholism, or even forgiving others and yourself; this story portrays all of these beautifully and respectfully. My only struggle was the transition from each POV. @its_melissamoran was amazing though as the narrator (5⭐️🎧). With so many characters to voices, I was able to pick up the tones that differentiated most everyone. So impressive and helpful.
Britt has crippling social anxiety and found contentment doing videos online teaching art. Her videos are very successful, but she still lives with her mom. She pays her own bills. Even rent, but longs for a day when her anxiety won’t rule her life. Not to mention the secrets she’s been keeping from mom.
Hunter is three years sober and has a decent job at a warehouse. Suffering from insomnia, he comes across Britt’s videos. He can’t stop watching and even finds peace hearing her voice. One day, Hunter decides to dm Britt. Little did he expect her to respond.
As they talk and eventually meet, they begin a beautiful friendship. Hunter helps Britt come out of her shell little by little. Britt is teaching Hunter art. But they both haven’t fully opened up to one another. This will become a problem when one day all their secrets come colliding together. Britt and Hunter are forced to face things that terrify them. Will Hunter be strong enough in his sobriety and feelings for Britt to hold on? Will Britt be able to control her anxiety and give Hunter a chance?

Kathleen Fuller crafts a charming and heartfelt contemporary romance in So Into You. This sweet, small-town story delivers a delightful blend of romance, humor, and personal growth that will appeal to fans of clean and uplifting love stories.
What Makes It Shine:
1. Engaging Characters:
Both the leads, Eleanor and her childhood friend Nolan, are wonderfully written. Eleanor’s journey from feeling out of place in Maple Falls to rediscovering her passion and purpose is relatable and inspiring. Nolan, the steadfast best friend, adds warmth and sincerity, making their slow-burn romance feel genuine.
2. Small-Town Charm:
Fuller paints Maple Falls as a cozy, endearing setting, complete with quirky townsfolk and heartfelt community moments. Readers will feel as though they’re part of the town’s bustling life.
3. Themes of Second Chances and Self-Discovery:
The story isn’t just about romance but also about finding your footing and making peace with the past. Eleanor’s internal struggles and her path to confidence are as compelling as her love story.
4. Humor and Chemistry:
Fuller’s witty dialogue and playful moments between Eleanor and Nolan keep the story lighthearted while balancing the emotional depth. Their natural chemistry adds a spark that keeps readers hooked.
Why 4.5 Stars, Not 5:
While the story is highly enjoyable, the pacing occasionally slows in places, and some side characters’ arcs could have been explored further. However, these are minor issues in an otherwise delightful read.
Final Thoughts:
So Into You is a heartwarming tale of love, friendship, and finding your way back to yourself. Perfect for fans of small-town romances with clean, uplifting themes, it leaves you eager to visit Maple Falls again. Highly recommended for a cozy weekend read!

So Into You is a cute enjoyable romance. I don't really have anything to critique about the book overall but it didn't have any standout moments for me. It won't be up there for most memorable of my 2024 reads.
Pertaining to the audiobook, the narrator had a nice voice to listen to but it was hard to distinguish between characters.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins Christian Publishing for the complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. So Into You is available on December 3, 2024.

This was not the book for me. This was just the Hallmark movie version of a romance book, but make it Christian. It was so formulaic and predictable and the pieces of the puzzle all fit together way too neatly. Also, the multiple POVs were confusing at first, as they all had the same voice and were all read by the same narrator. And then, to top it all off, there was the god-awful ending. Like, possibly THE worst I've ever read in a romance. Don't waste your time on this one.
Thank you to Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Fiction Audio for gifting me with an ALC to review. All opinions are my own.

Overall, this was a very cute book! I found the fact that it was from 4 people's perspectives that are all connected was an interesting take. While I liked that aspect of the story it did not translate well to an audiobook with only one narrator that did not distinguish between characters well.
I enjoyed watching the character development of Brittany, Amy, Daniel, and Hunter. They all had their own struggles and their own journeys but still connected well to each other.
The story of redemption was well done and reflected on the ideal of forgiveness and acceptance.
I listened to the audiobook and wished this had been a duet narration rather than single. The narrator was fine just lacked range for multiple characters.

I read some of the other reviews. Some I agree with, some I don't. Initially, when the characters were being introduced, it was a little confusing. But as the story took shape, that resolved. The story was good. What's better than 2 misfits finding love? I found the story endearing. I thought the narrator did a fine job. 4 stars.
Many thanks to Net Galley and HarperCollins Christian Publishing for an audio ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Special thanks to NetGalley, HarperCollins Christian Publishing and author Kathleen Fuller for advanced access to the audiobook in exchange for my honest review.
I really enjoyed the book. While I thought it was a cute romance, it does have some heavy topics, including anxiety and alcoholoism.
So Into You is narrated by Melissa Moran. She did an exceptional job bringing the story to life.

Book was a 2 for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction for providing me with a free eARC(audio book).
I, like some other reviewers, weren't aware that this book was a Christian RomCom. This doesn't make it bad but if you're looking for an open door romance, this ain't it.
This story is about Britt, an anxious artist who has a successful Youtube channel and Hunter, a guy trying to rebuild his life after a lot of bad decisions caused him to hit rock bottom, who stumbles across her channel and they strike up an internet friendship at first that transitions to IRL as they live in the same area.
Britt lives at home with her super neurotic mother who is a high school teacher and divorcee. Britt and her mom are super tight because they're still struggling to deal with Britt's parents getting divorced 20 years and the aftermath that alcoholism can have on families. Additionally, Britt's anxiety is crippling at times and it has caused her to have a very small world.
Britt is trying to spend time with her father but she can't tell her mother because of how upset she'll be that her dad is back in her life after being MIA for 20 years.
The secondary characters were okay but honestly, didn't really do anything for me.
Things I liked about this book: candid conversations about mental health, past substance use disorders, and pushing yourself to be more than your past.
Things that I didn't like: I am not a fan of the miscommunication trope and there was 3-4 major miscommunications that happened in this book and the whole time I was listening, I kept saying can't wait for this to blow up spectacularly. Spoiler, it did.
I thought the story deviated too much/spent too much time on Britt's parents and their side stories that kind of made sense but weren't that interesting. Britt's mom was super unlikeable and I found myself speeding up her sections so I could get through them.

Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Collins & Kathleen Fuller for the chance to read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
I feel like I could write several different reviews for this book- so I'll try to keep this concise.
Narration was okay- but with the book written from MULTIPLE POVs, without the character name being listed at the top of the chapter- using the same narrator can be tough.
I'm a romance reader but do not prefer books with a Christian basis to them. If you do prefer that- I think you would REALLY like this book.
I think the plot and main storyline could do big numbers outside of the Christian market if the book was scrubbed of some of the more sanctimonious language AND Hunter & Britt were given voices and actions that match those of their age.
Britt's anxiety representation was very.. detailed... but to the point it had me screaming at the narrator "This is more than anxiety! This girl needs a neuropsych eval!!"
