I think the book makes the idea of stage fright relatable, simple, and not as scary by providing advice on how to handle the nerves. My nephew has his first play and I am definitely gifting him this, so he can have some exercises prepared if he gets nervous.
Also, the illustrations are fantastic and diverse!
This book was very sweet! I liked the practical advice it gave. I would've loved more of a narrative so that the reader could connect with a specific character, but it functions pretty well as a non-fiction/advice book for kids. Very charming and inclusive art.
I really like this book!! Stage fright is such a common thing, especially in little ones, that this book is going to be wildly popular. It's relevance is through the roof, because every kid will have to go in front of many people and have all eyes on them sometime in their life.
Now I want to talk about the specific content of this book. The directions on how to fight stage fright are so comprehensive and easy-to-understand. Additionally, all of the techniques mentioned actually work. If one method doesn't work for someone, there are others in this one book for them to choose from, and I know for a fact that they will find the technique that works best for them by the last page. What's even better is this book can be funny at times. This book will likely make kids giggle out loud, which will help even more to dispel their anxiety.
Lastly, the illustrations make this book even more relatable. The illustrator used every tool they had: facial expressions, color, depth, light, emotion, tone, etc. to accurately express to readers how real stage fright is, but also how possible it is to overcome.
Bravo!!

Kids in this book are faced with some daunting challenges - going on stage, giving a talk in class, getting up to bat in baseball game - and the author offers practical strategies to face fears and overcome them. I appreciated the diverse set of kiddos, and lively illustrations. This would be a great read for a classroom pre-presentations. Even kids who don't get stage fright could find some of the suggestions helpful - everyone can use a little mindfulness training! Thanks to NetGalley and Sounds True for the eARC!

This is a cute book with good tips for children who may experience anxiety around performances or having the attention on them. Lots of good examples of these scenarios are shown. The pictures are cute and I’m sure the audience being in their underwear will make kids laugh! I do wish the text rhymed as I think it would flow better.
