“Law Man,” Ridley greeted. “Chaos,” I returned. Those eyes sparked. “Chaos?” “Can’t say you don’t bring that in your wake.” Ridley lifted her glass, preparing to take a sip. “Or maybe you’re just boring as hell.”
“I did not need to know that this woman who smelled like smoky sunshine and looked like a walking temptation had a taste for my whiskey.”
“He was beautiful. But it was more than something physical. Colter Brooks was beautiful because of his actions. His words might not always be the best, but his actions always were. And I’d take actions over pretty lies any day.”
“Be safe, Chaos. It’s going to piss me the hell off if you end up dead.”
“We approached things from different angles. Colt’s was precise and measured. Mine was a little wilder, running on instinct. But the processes complemented each other somehow, each one filling in blanks that the other had left open, finding a few more of those missing pieces.”
“We aren’t taking chances. Not with you. Not ever.”
“And the moment her hand slid into mine, I could breathe again. It shouldn’t have been possible for chaos to be so calming, but it was. She was.”
“I’m a little scared of you. You know that?” She just grinned wider, as if I’d told her she was the most beautiful woman in the world. “Thank you.” “It wasn’t a compliment,”
“Jesus,” I muttered. “You’ve got bikers and senior citizens teaming up to off your enemies?” Ridley just smiled up at me innocently. “I like making friends.”
“I don’t know what it says about my dedication to the feminist cause that I like when you manhandle me,” she grumbled. I chuckled. “It says you need others to respect that you can do it yourself, but sometimes it’s nice to have someone do it for you.”

Catherine Cowles books are my drugs! I could not put this book down once I started! I can’t believe we were lucky enough to get an ARC! Ridley is a baddy with a tragic past who uses her instincts to work on unsolved crimes for her podcast. Cue meeting lawman also known less frequently as Colt. He’s the opposite of her (although equally stubborn), he goes by the books and shows he cares through his actions. Between the nicknames, “who did this to you moment,” and forced proximity. Ridley and Colt together is the ultimate duo!
Normally I’m pretty good at figuring out who the villain is or what the plot twist is pretty early on in books, but this one definitely threw me for a loop! If you’re looking for a romantic suspense, I can’t recommend this one enough!
P.S. Technically a standalone but praying we can get Trey and Emerson’s book…
Thank you Netgalley, publisher and Catherine for this early copy!

This book was different from other books I have read by this author--but in a great way. I loved that it's more of a thriller/mystery with twists to solve than just flat out romance. Although the chemistry between the two MC's is quite nice. The animal sidekicks and older characters also make the book well rounded for lough out loud moments as one tries to solve the mystery. Thank you #netgalley for the ARC and chance to review honestly.

This one had my millennial heart doing a happy dance. Ridley started her true crime podcast, Sounds like Serial, to not only give a voice to those who can't tell their story but to also give those that are still reeling with their loss some comfort and hopefully some answers.
She travels around investigating the stories where they took places in the coolest VW van with the coolest cat, Tater.
Until she gets to Shady Cove and finds the Sherrif is not only a broody grump who would rather run her out of town but is closer to the case than she first realized.
Colt wants nothing else than Ridley to leave town and stop asking questions. But when she starts questioning people who have secrets to protect, Colt learns that she can definitely handle herself.
This one has everything you could want; a strong fmc, broody mmc, epic banter, tension for days, a three legged cat who gives tooth hugs, and endlessly guessing who dun it(only to inevitably be wrong in true Catherine Cowles fashion).

I loved this book so much. I love how it was almost exactly a 50/50 split between thriller and romance. It is perfect for someone who doesn’t know what they’re in the mood for. I will always recommend and read Catherine Cowles.

Of course I loved this!! Another hit from Catherine. I loved Ridley as a character and how she took so much care for the victims she interviewed for her podcast. The way it was so personal for her, and her approach to Emerson was really beautiful. I loved that friendship. I really enjoyed colt and ridley’s relationship as well. Their nicknames were super cute. I felt like a little bit of development was missing between sleeping together and I love yous but mostly really liked this one. 4.5 stars.

Thanks to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for a gifted copy of All The Missing Pieces.
First, we can’t talk about this book without discussing how gorgeous the cover is. It’s one of the main things that drew me to it.
I enjoyed this book a lot. It kept me entertained the entire time. There were parts of the books that made me laugh.
I like books that follow a podcast to solve grab and I thought this book was done well. It was pace well and introduced the facts of the cases in an order that made sense.
I enjoyed the romance aspects of the book. It was done in a way that didn’t sacrifice the suspense aspect of the book. I loved how protective Colt is of anyone who he loves. And of course Ridley is a badass. I loved how they fell together and became such a great team.
I definitely didn’t figure out whodunit. Came out of left field for me. Never once suspected him so I loved that for a mystery/thriller.

All the Missing Pieces is my debut into the romantic suspense genre, and I’m obsessed! The romance aspect of this book was done nicely, and the chemistry between Colt and Ridley was out of this world. I definitely didn’t see the unsub twist at the end coming! I think the main reason I loved this story was the bond that Emerson and Ridley shared. They’d both been through so much but decided to make something special of what happened and gave so many families closure, including both of theirs.

All The Missing Pieces by Catherine Cowles is a romantic suspense that brings podcaster Ridley Sawyer directly into the path of small town sheriff Colter Brooks. Ridley's podcast focuses on cold cases and she travels around the country, living the van life with her cat and everything she owns. This podcast and this life have been Ridley's passion ever since her twin sister was abducted and never found the day before their college graduation. As Ridley researches more and more cold cases, she finds information that leads her to believe there are many more cases connected to her sisters - and she thinks she's found the first victim. But when she rolls into the small town, she catches the attention of a few locals, including the gruff sheriff Colt. As she interviews townspeople and digs up more information she is put into more and more danger. When Colt steps in to offer her protection and a place to stay, the two decide to team up.
This was an intriguing mystery that pulled me in, and while I had a few guesses as to who the killer was, I was incorrect! I did like how protective Colt and his buddy were with Ridley and another character. I think I must like a gruff and protective MMC! I really enjoyed Ridley's character. She was persistant and used her pain to help others through theirs. I loved how she never gave up.
This was my first Cowles novel and I think I'll check out some others by her at my local library.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts.

This was my first time reading this author. I really enjoyed the book. The plot was very good. The right amounts of mystery, suspense and romance. It's the story of pain and love. How you need both to heal.
I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author. I highly recommend this book. Thanks NetGalley for the advanced copy. #AllTheMissingPieces #NetGalley

Another winner from Catherine. True crime podcaster, small town & no one does romantic suspense like Catherine Cowles. Loved this one!!

Miss Cowles never fails to amaze me, her stories mixed with heart pounding suspense keep me on the edge of my seat the entire time, as always. I loved the romance, the connection, EVERYTHING!!!

Catherine Cowles is a must read author for me and she did NOT disappoint. All the missing pieces is a small town romance between a town sheriff and true crime podcaster searching for the truth, but what happens when the sparks between them could start a wildfire•• Catherine's books are always the perfect combination of suspense and romance and ATMP is no exception

This book was absolutely everything! Catherine Cowles never ceases to amaze me with her ability to craft some of the most emotional stories while on the edge of suspense. A new favorite for sure!

This was my first ever romantic suspense read and it did not disappoint. I loved the storyline, plot, and character development. It was so unique and I can't wait to read more from this author

Catherine Cowles is my ride or die author and I’ll read anything that she publishes. With this book I truly thought I had it all figured out and bam I was totally wrong again. Truly an amazing book if you like a little tastes of suspense with your romance.

Ridley doesn’t let her the loss of her sister break her. No she channels it into a career of true crime podcasting in an effort to solve other people’s mysteries and also hopefully bring her closer to finding out what really happened to her sister.
Unfortunately not everyone believes her motives are pure especially because she doesn’t advertise her history. When Sheriff Colt learns there’s a podcaster in town he figures she’s just another fame hungry monster looking to capitalize off the towns tragedy. But when it becomes clear that the monster she’s been hunting might have gotten up to her, he’ll do whatever it takes to protect her.
This is hands down the best Catherine Cowles book to date. I’m not a true crime podcast listener myself but I was deeply invested in Ridley’s story and her pain. She’s such a smart cookie and I was endlessly impressed by her hunches and her bravado.
I did not see the villain reveal coming. I was flat out stunned to be honest. That’s one thing I love about Catherine’s books is that you think you know but then she pulls the rug out from under you. It keeps me coming back release after release. If you haven’t picked up one of her books yet this is a complete standalone and would be the perfect place to start.

I loved this book. There was just about everything you could ask for in this one. From humor to those spicy scenes. It is a grumpy sunshine touch her and die trope. I loved that the spicy scenes were not rushed into. There was the proper amount of work and build up put into it so that when the clothes finally came flying off I was more then ready for that action.
This was actually a who done it that I did not see coming which is a rarity and made it even better. Perfect to get you out of that book slump.

I had a lot of big feelings after reading this masterpiece. The characters jump off the page. The storyline reeled me in, and the romance owned my heart. Overall it was a flawless read!
This author has also been my go to for romantic suspense, but she’s leveled up with this release. I truly hope she returns to this world of broken characters soon!

My fault for not realizing that the MMC was a sheriff before requesting this. This one didn't strike the right balance of mystery and romance that I'm looking for in my romantic suspense reads.
Thanks to Sourcebooks and Netgalley for my ARC.

Love love love this book! It had the right amount of suspense, romance, and humor. The cast of side characters (found family) were also adorable.
