Catherine Cowles does such a fantastic job of creating a romance storyline with a mystery subplot. Or maybe it’s the opposite, but either way, it’s great. You get an HEA, but there’s substance to the storyline, character depth and a realistic romantic plot. Ridley is a podcaster who hosts a true crime show and Colt is the local sheriff. They do not hit it off, but their pasts and traumas bond them and it makes for an interesting relationship arc for them. I really liked both main characters. The story was well written and I was on the edge of my seat. And hats off to a super cool cat sidekick!
4 stars!

This is a beautiful book about two broken people living in loss. There is something beautiful about their healing journey that is really empowering. The hate-to-love was also making out to be really fun.

I couldn’t finish this book because I have a grief trigger. I thought I could handle it, but this story was too heavy for me. Catherine’s writing is wonderful as always.

Thank you for the opportunity to read it early. I’m sorry I couldn’t finish it. It had nothing to do with the content but with my trigger.

No one writes romantic suspense better than Catherine!! I was at the edge of my seat the whole time reading this while simultaneously trying through all the grief!

I just recently read a few books by this wonderful author and when I saw All the Missing Pieces available through NetGalley I jumped at the chance to read and review it because I have become a fan of Ms. Cowle's style of writing. The blurb really grabbed me and I'm glad it did because this read was even better than I had anticipated. It's a great romantic suspense (heavy on the suspense) and let me say, she had me guessing and the answers were not what I had expected -- I love that! I don't like to see the answers or the ending before it comes. Ridley and Colt are well-developed characters and well-written characters in that I was totally invested in their lives and what they both had endured. There's some downright heart-wrenching moments for both of these characters, as well as Emerson, but it's the dramatic suspense and edge-of-your-seat chapters that really had me reading well into the night. I look forward to reading more from this author now that I've found her! I'm grateful to have been given the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book through NetGalley.

I wish I would rate this higher but Cowles books have been on my radar for a while and this is now my third one and I am sorry but they were all the same book with like a slightly different font, I guess it is working for her though.

"Colt, you helped me find all the missing pieces. Even the ones I didn't realize I needed."

This BOOK! I’ve said in ever review I’ve made for a Catherine book that the balance between mystery, suspense and romance is so well done and this book Is no exception! We get enemies to lovers, and my personal favorite: TRUE CRIME!

'I'm going to find you, Avs. I promise." No matter how many interfering sheriffs got in my way. No matter what accusations they threw at me. I would find my sister, my twin. Whatever it took.

Colt & Tidley both have such heartbreaking famil ystories and where Colt is grumpy and reserved to protect his sister from future hurting, Ridley is still hunting the killer of her sister. The two joining up (begrudgingly) was done perfectly and I just loved it! How C.C. revealed all the characters backgrounds and how it was incorporated into the crimes C/R are trying to solve kept me sooo invested! AND WHO IS THE VILLIAN?! Annoyed to say per usual I didn’t guess correctly 😂

"You never found her."
"No. And trust me, I've tried. I'm still trying. But in the meantime, I'm also trying to help others. I'm not always successful. Life doesn't guarantee grand movie endings. But every once in a while we get one. We put the bad guys away so they can't hurt anyone else. That's what I'm trying to do."

"I won't say it's easy. Battle it every single day. Gratitude is a choice. Just like looking for the sun."
"Looking for the sun..." he parroted.
"Sometimes it's finding those actual rays. Just looking up, closing my eyes, and remembering it's still there. Every day it rises. Sometimes it's looking for those glimmers of light elsewhere. The amazing hazelnut latte I got from Ezra. The kindness Trey showed to me when I needed it. The run that reminded me I'm still here and breathing. Those glimmers are all around us; you just have to open your eyes and truly see.”

If this quote didn’t make you want Trey and Emerson’s book, you’re wrong. 🖤
"Are they...?"
"I'm not sure. But they watch each other. Sometimes I swear they orbit one another as if the other is the sun."

The addictive writing of Catherine Cowles had me losing sleep as I devoured this book in one sitting. All The Missing Pieces weaves together mystery, suspense, romance, and some great small-town characters that had me in awe at the end. Catherine is known for her surprise twists & this one is no exception.

Ridley is a fierce & determined FMC. She's compassionate & turns tragedy into motivation. She finds the light in the dark - something she teaches Colt. I LOVED her story & her witty banter. Ridley never backs down - even when her life is on the line.

Colt is a grumpy but protective MMC who has shut down parts of himself that Ridley pries back open. His quick-to-judge demeanor at the beginning gives way to some enemies-to-lovers banter that I just ate up. This is a slow burn as it takes time for Ridley & Colt to trust each other but when they do, they go all in. The spice hits perfectly & doesn't diminish the focus of the case.

The mystery of the serial killer had me guessing at every turn. The suspense is addictive & reeled me in. The delicate ripple effect that this case has on not only the immediate people involved but the entire small town of Shady Cove had me invested in all the supporting cast of characters. I especially love Emerson & Trey.

Everything about this book is perfection. I am obsessed with Catherine's writing & this is just another example of why.

All the Missing Pieces is my absolute favorite Catherine Cowles book to date! The romance, suspense, grumpy x sunshine-- it all was done to perfection! I was hooked from the first sentence and couldn't put it down. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. I'll never stop thinking about this book. Top 5 read of the year!

It's been a while since I've read a Catherine Cowles novel and I'm glad that All the Missing Pieces was the novel I decided to try; it had an interesting premise and romance and it sounded like just the thing to cure my book slump; it was (and I'm happy to say it's launched a week of good reading).

As you can see from the synopsis, this novel features a small town sheriff (Colt), a true crime podcaster (Ridley), and a cold case. Sounds good, right? Well, as you get deeper into the narrative, all of those things thread together in the most readable way.

The novel starts off with an absolute tragedy for Ridley, which is the thing that launched her current career, and has her searching for clues for a cold case in the small town that Colt oversees as sheriff. As Ridley begins to uncover new details of the cold case, Colt finds it impossible to control her and ends up housing her in his home to keep her safe. These two instantly seem to rub each other the wrong way, which bodes well for all of us romance lovers, because even though they aren't enemies, they annoy each other and it's fun to read that, knowing that all of that annoyance is really just hiding attraction and curiosity.

As Ridley gets closer to solving the case, things get more dangerous, Colt gets more protective, and their romance blossoms. Throw in some small town tropes and that mystery of whodunit, and you have yourself a read easy to escape into. Now, of course, I'm eager to read the next novel in this series because I know it'll be a fun read.

This book was not for me. The dialogue, the characters, and the plot felt unrealistic (beyond allowable suspension of disbelief for fiction writing) in a way that really took me out of the experience.

Catherine Cowles does it again. I couldn't put this book down. It was the perfect amount of chemistry and suspense. The enemies to lovers aspect was written so well. I loved the connection between Ridley and Colt. You could feel the tension between them through the whole book. I loved how much they were able to bond over their trauma. This book was a truly wonderful experience.

Thank you to Catherine Cowles and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

All The Missing Pieces
By Catherine Cowles

This was a wonderful read. I had forgotten how much I enjoy mysteries. I haven’t read one in years. But this one was sooooo good it had me hooked on the first page. Such a page turner. Great love story too. The subject matter was delicate and upsetting and could have been traumatic. It wasn’t because of the way in which the author presented and handled it.
I think this author did a remarkable job. Bravo, Catherine Cowles.

I really wanted to like this book. I love the idea of a mystery romance combination but this one fell short.
The main character, Ridley, is a murder podcast host who travels around the country to report on cold cases that are similar to one she has a personal connection to. The male main character is the town sheriff, Colt. He is not pleased by her arrival but they make a quick turn from enemies to lovers. There is good suspense building in the case Ridley is trying to crack but I became so focused on the trite dialogue that I couldn’t enjoy the book. If you’re looking for a fast paced romance and are ok with some cheesiness this is the book for you.

If you're into true crime podcasts about serial killers, this a romance you need to read. I mean, serial killers and love go together, right?!?!?!

ALL THE MISSING PIECES follows true crime podcaster Ridley as she goes into a small town searching for answers about her missing sister's case and how it might be connected to a kidnapping from 10 years ago. The only roadblock to Ridley finding the key to the case? Town Sherif Colter who seems keen on running Ridley out of town, along with the mystery suspect. But as things heat up and coincidences don't seem like coincidences anymore, Colter and Ridley team up to hopefully solve the case.

I really enjoyed this one! It definitely had a different feel from Cowles' other books, but i really enjoyed the shakeup. Colter and Ridley have a great enemies to lovers vibe going on from the beginning and I loved how all the townspeople were rooting for them before the pair even noticed their chemistry. I love true crime podcasts and this book reminded me why. There are so many pieces to the puzzle and sometimes you have to look at all the information through a different lens to figure out what you've been missing all along. The one thing that impressed me the most about this book is that I did not guess the suspect and it totally took me by surprise when it was revealed who it was.

Catherine Cowles does it again! All the Missing Pieces is the perfect combination of romance and suspense. I was only a few pages into the prologue when my heart was already in my throat and I badly needed the answers to what had been taking place.

Ridley's twin sister Avery went missing 5 years ago and to numb the pain and support herself, Ridley has become a successful true crime podcaster that solves cases for other families suffering from the pain of losing loved ones without getting answers.

Ridley is a hard-headed heroine and I loved her character so much. She kind of wears her heart on her sleeve but at the same time she's not, it's hard to explain it but you'll understand once you read the book. She's strong and independent, a justice seeker that refuses to give up. Even if she is hurt in the process, she will keep going to assure that no one else gets hurt. She was so selfless and loving, and I felt so strongly for her, needing her to find the answers she was looking for.

Colt, our grumpy sheriff, is naturally hesitant to Ridley when she first arrives to town but it doesn't take long before his closed up heart is opening up for her. Ridley and Colt are total opposites in many ways but their chemistry and banter is PERECTION, and dare I say that they are two puzzle pieces that fit so perfectly together, and they heal each other in ways no one else could ever do <3

Cowles also builds up the small town and the side characters perfectly and I could imagine exactly what it looked like and what each character contributed to its town. Perhaps, we will get a second book with some of these side characters? Here's to hoping.

I was absolutely blown away by this book and I can't wait for its release on January 7, 2025, so everyone else gets to experience the masterpiece that this book is. Thank you so much Catherine Cowles and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the eARC before its release 🥰

WOW.

Catherine has outdone herself with All the Missing Pieces. I call myself a BIG romance reader and will occasionally read a thriller/suspense. This book literally had the perfect balance of the romance I love (hello hate to love) with a good thriller/suspense component. The true crime podcast made this story that much more fun. I also freaking loved Tater, and her 'tooth hugs'

I had multiple thoughts the entire book about who could be the bad guy and even down to the last few pages before it was revealed I was thinking it was someone else. I was SHOOK.

Ridley and Colt were perfect for each other MCs. What a beautiful love story.

Also, Catherine, can we get an Emerson story? Please???

I REALLY loved this story! Ridley was such a lovable character and Colter wasn't at first but he grew on me. I loved their romance and I loved that they got to catch the bad guy together.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc in exchange for an honest review!

I've loved Catherine Cowles' books for a while now, so I was so excited to read her first traditionally published one. It did not disappoint! I love the way she seamlessly blends romance, mystery and suspense. I hope this is the start of a new series for her because I can't wait to read more.

Catherine Cowles has become one of my favorite authors over this last year. It's not surprising that this was a five star read for me.

Ridley is a podcaster who travels from town to town trying to solve or bring might to murders. After her sister disappeared four years ago, this true crime podcast has become her passion. She finds herself in a small town investigating an attempted abduction that occured 10 years ago. She knows that the welcome mat won't be rolled out, but she doesn't expect the sheriff, Colten Brooks, to be such a grumpy human.

They need each other's help .. but can they trust each other?

I loved Ridley and Colton. They had great banter and personalities. Part of the reason I love Catherine Cowles so much is her mystery component. I had NO idea who the bad guy was. I was completely surprised. I can't wait to read the next book in this series !

Will post review on Instagram soon. Posting on Goodreads now.
