If there’s one thing about Catherine is she knows how to write a romantic suspense and this stand alone is no different. A solid 4 star read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I absolutely loved that the FMC was a true crime podcaster, and the reason behind her starting the podcast made this so interesting. It made me so much more invested in the book!

Ridley is taking on a new personal true crime case in a small town where a tragedy happened (you find out why she’s researching this particular case). The town sheriff is not happy with her poking into people’s business, since that person Ridley is poking around is his sister. Their first meet is definitely tense and he threatens to give her a ticket for parking her van in the wrong spot. The way she banters back with him is so fun and makes their chemistry even better.

Once Colt stops being a jerk to Ridley, he becomes the overbearing protective boyfriend although they might only have a few weeks together once her case is closed but that doesn’t stop them both from falling and falling hard.

I never saw the suspect coming in this book and didn’t even guess it was this person. I love the way the story wraps up even though it is devastating and Ridley finally gets her answers that she’s been searching for for 5 years.

Keeping my fingers crossed that there could be a book 2 in this series!

Catherine Cowles is the queen of romantic suspense and an auto buy author for me! I was so excited and grateful to get this super early ARC! This book was even more suspenseful and mysterious than her others. I was suspicious of everyone - I couldn't tell for sure who it was until the moment it was revealed.

Ridley is a sassy and independent FMC which I love. Colt is a protective and broody MMC. Their banter was great. The development of their bond and relationship was perfect. And always there is humor throughout this story and a sweet/crazy 3 legged cat!

This book had a true crimes/criminal minds vibe which I love and differed from her other books a bit. This one was also lighter on the spice/romance but its still there and done so well.

- True crime podcaster x Sheriff
- Enemies to lovers
- Small town
- Grumpy sunshine
- Found family

Fave Quotes
"God, you're pretty when you beg. Think that deserves a reward."

"Enemies with benefits would be more accurate"

"Let. Her. Go. Or I'll happily remove your balls from your body."

I hope we get more from the crew in Shady Cove. I need more of Trey and Emerson because they are already in love whether they know it or not! Thank you Catherine and Net Galley for this early ARC. I loved this book so much!!!!

Wow. This book was so good, I could not put it down. Ridley was such a brave FMC, the way she dealt with loss was amazing. I love how she chose to live her life in such a constructive way. Colt was everything I love in a broody MMC. He was cranky yet tender, rough around the edges. I think my new favorite genre is romantic suspense?! I was blown away by the ending, and can’t wait for this story to get out into the world!! Thank you Catherine Cowles and NetGalley for the chance to read this story early, I am so grateful!

All The Missing Piece is a beautifully crafted exploration of grief, resilience, and unexpected connections. The emotional authenticity in the writing has me instantly drawn into a world where loss fuels the quest for justice. Ridley Sawyer shines as a compelling protagonist, with her passion for true crime resonating deeply. The chemistry between her and Sheriff Colter Brooks is electric, highlighted by witty banter and palpable tension. Themes of vulnerability and healing weave throughout the narrative, making it a profound journey of self-discovery and connection. This story is both thrilling and heartfelt, leaving me eagerly anticipating every twist and turn. I loved it.

Can Catherine write a story I don't immediately invest myself in? No. I don't think so.

Catherine is known for writing steamy suspense novels, but this one may be tied for top place as far as most mysterious and suspenseful for me (and I'm almost through with her back catalogue, hashtag 2024 goals).

Ridley, our FMC, is incredible - as someone who was completely immersed in true crime podcasts during 2020 and 2021, I absolutely felt a connection to her as she moves across the country in search of the next case she can help crack. She's dealt with her own personal tragedy and this is strong motivator for her to keep pushing for answers. Her empathy and compassion is tangible throughout the story - the perspective of her chapters makes you feel like you not only know her, but you're a lifelong fan of her podcast and are ready to be part of her fandom looking for any tips to help authorities.

Opposite her stars our seriously grumpy, easily irritated MMC, the sheriff of Shady Cove: Colt. Born and raised in Shady Cove, the entire town knows him and he knows them - a classic tighknit community with meddling that's mostly well intentioned. He's a damaged boy with lots of cracks and broken bits and while he's not looking for any kind of relationship, Ridley's outlook on life and her drive both infuriate him and draw him in. His internal struggle over how he should engage with her and where his loyalties should lie is VISCERAL. You want to shake him and also hug him; it's very confusing lol.

As per usual, I was guessing til the last minute about who the villain of the story was and OF COURSE I was wrong. Another amazing thing Catherine does? Drop just enough "what ifs" throughout the story that you feel like you're taking a multiple choice test where you can justify just about every choice as the "right one."

If you like:
- major grumpy meets sunshine, where the sunshine is the kind fighting to break through the clouds after a thunderstorm
- small town suspicions that morph into small town rallying behind those they consider one of there own
- suspense and trauma with necessary and appropriate moments of levity and humor, specifically in the form of the town elders and the three-legged cat who loves to give a tooth hug..
.. you're going to LOVE reading this story. You will find everything you needed within the covers of this book to feel gutted, healed, fulfilled and content.

My favorite Catherine Cowles book to date. Ridley is the confident, driven and fierce FMC that we all aspire to be while Colt is the grumpy, protective and broody MMC that is ready to protect everyone he loves. These two have the best meet cute I have ever read in a book! Their chemistry and surprising connection are what makes for a perfect romance.

Then there is the suspense! It is so expertly weaved through that you don’t realize you are gathering clues from the first pages. I didn’t see the culprit coming but loved how everything played out!

I’m hoping there is more to come from Shady Cove!

What a great read! Catherine Cowles is an auto buy author for me so getting this standalone made me so excited! All The Missing pieces gave me the romantic suspense I love from her but with more added mystery.

Our true crime podcasting FMC Ridley was fierce, independent and sticks to her guns. Meeting the small town sheriff in the town she’s investigating doesn’t change her one bit. I loved their relationship so much. From the banter and “enemies” to lovers to the spice, it was all perfection.

The small town atmosphere was giving Gilmore girls. Catherine always goes a fantastic job of giving our side characters big personalities without overshadowing the main characters. Tater is the exception. She’s her own main character. She owns the book.

In true Catherine Cowles fashion, I did not predict our villain. Idk how she does it. Magic. That’s it. Such a great read!

Catherine Cowles has knocked it out of the park with another fantastic romantic suspense! I was hooked from page one and couldn't wait to see where the story took us. There were plenty of twists and turns to keep readers on their toes.

The story follows Ridley (FMC), a true crime podcaster, and Colt (MMC), the local Sheriff in the small town where she's investigating a story for her podcast. As you can imagine, these two bump heads a lot but I love a good opposites attract couple. Like many small towns, this one has it's secrets and Ridley will stop at nothing to uncover them.

A few times I thought I had the Bad Guy all figured out but then I was left with egg on my face. As someone who reads a lot of thrillers and romantic suspense, it's always great when an author can pull one over on me. The side characters were fun, especially Princess Tater, the 3 legged cat. I love that Ridley was able to have the townsfolk wrapped around her finger in no time, even the local biker club!

If you're looking for your next romantic suspense, to be sure to add this one to your TBR!

This whirlwind of a book left me second guessing everything and everyone, while simultaneously falling in love with the small town of Shady Cove and everyone that lives there.

I love Catherine Cowles’s way of writing tremendously strong characters after living through some type of hell. The FMC Ridley has become one of my favorites from Catherine, with her vivacious energy, fierce independence, and liveliness that lights up any room she walks into. Our MMC Colt is certainly one of the more Alpha Males Catherine has written but I love how both Ridley and Colt’s strong personalities clashed and meshed in all the right ways.

The side characters of Shady Cove were so fun and I love the small town feeling of “everyone knowing everyone” that Catherine is always able to write perfectly.

Overall, the story is so interesting, I love that Ridley is a podcaster and truly cares about the victims and loved ones of victims for the cases she covers. I love the fur friends of everyone in the book. The plot moves quickly and kept me questioning every little remark and sentence to see if I could figure out the “bad guy” at the end. I could not. Good job Catherine Cowles for another incredible read!

Wow is this my favorite Catherine Cowles book to date? If it isn’t number 1, it sure is up there. I’ve said time and time again, Catherine can really write a grumpy hero and it did not fail here👏🏻

I adored Ridley and Colt. I don’t think there’s much more to say than that. These two had a connection not many people could understand. I loved watching them understand each other and learn to grow together.

I loved the care that Ridley used when talking to victims on her podcast and the empathy she had for everyone. I really enjoyed the true crime side of this one.

I honestly didn’t try to figure out who the perpetrator was in this one, but let me tell you, I was not expecting that!

This one doesn’t come out until January, but should absolutely be on your radar! It’s a complete standalone so you do not need to read any others before this one.

Thank you netgalley and the publisher for my copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I loved All the Missing Pieces! Catherine Cowles does an amazing job blending romance and suspense. The characters feel real, and the story kept me hooked with its twists and turns. The connection between the main characters was great, and the suspense made it hard to put down. I am usually pretty good at guessing who the suspect will be, but Catherine ALWAYS tricks me!
A perfect mix of love and suspense!!

Catherine Cowles does not miss, and her trad debut, All the Missing Pieces, was absolutely not exception.

CC is the romantic suspense queen for a reason, but this new story, the new angle, the loath to love vibes between Ridley and Colt…all of it was perfection.

I don’t want to give anything away because there’s so much about this book that’s special that people need to experience for themselves to understand. But damn. Colt and Ridley’s trauma bonding and the beautiful way they fell in love. Their banter. The animals. The investigation. The Shady Cove townsfolk. Start to finish, this book was chef’s kiss and easily my new favorite CC book ever.

Wow…just wow.. five stars.

I want to start off by saying mystery/true crime is absolutely 100% NOT my genre. I’m not one of those true crime junkies at all, in fact in scares me because then I think I’m some next victim.
BUT, this book felt like a really ‘gentle’ intro to it given that I’m still getting my #1 genre (romance of course) with a thrilling crime busting plot.

What hooked me first was just how much Catherine Cowles’ fans adore her, so I knew I couldn’t go wrong with requesting this ARC. Next, the cover is beautiful!

I loved nearly every character in this book, not just Colt (swoon) and Ridley. I absolutely loved Trent, with his snarky comebacks and levelheadedness that Colt needed. Emerson was a great supporting character as well, considering the story.

Not an absolute ton of spice in this book but when there was… phew it was done well.

If you’re normally a romance reader and looking to expand your horizons I think I’d highly recommend giving this a read! Youre not going to want to put this book down

Looking forward to adding more reviews (Instagram & Amazon) on release day

You can’t go wrong with Catherine Cowles’s books if you’re looking for a good small town grumpy x sunshine love story, this time with a suspenseful mystery in the mix!

The story follows Ridley who became a true crime podcaster after her twin sister disappeared. Her travels around the country take her to Shady Cove to cover yet another unsolved mystery when her paths cross with the grumpy local town sheriff Colt. The two will soon team up to solve the mysteries together and sparks will be flying as the chemistry between them was undeniable.

I was so excited to read this and the story held me captive from the beginning to the end! Yet another treat for the fans of Cowles’s books!

Thank you NetGallery and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC!

this book has my heart forever

Colt & Ridley are EVERYTHING. I love them so freaking much it’s insane. I don’t know how Catherine continues to write such phenomenal books. Literally every single book is just SO GOOD

I loved the enemies to lovers aspect of this with him being the sheriff and her being a true crime podcaster trying to catch a killer. The plot twists in this had my jaw on the FLOOR. I’m seriously in awe of this book

It is a MASTERPIECE🥹

The way the relationship developed between these two was so beautiful to see and I’m just so in love with these characters and this town

Here’s to hoping we get more books in Shady Cove🤞🏼🤭🥹

You'll love this if you like:
- true crime podcaster x sheriff
- small town romantic suspense
- forced proximity
- enemies with benefits
- emotional love story

Catherine has done it again! WOW. I am always in awe of her writing and the way she is able to build an emotional love story while also crafting a twisty suspense plot. This is some of her best work in both. The connection between Colt and Ridley was everything. I loved the pacing of the story, how they got to know each other, and the passion the shared. Their bond... ugh I get emotional just thinking about it!

Also, can I live in a Catherine Cowles small town?! Because every time I immediately want to move there. I loved how Shady Cove was described, and as always, the cast of side characters stole my heart.

I am so very excited for everyone to read this. It will be a favorite for both readers who have loved Catherine's writing and those who haven't had a chance to read her work yet. And if you love true crime podcasts, you have to pick this up. You'll love it!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for an early copy!

I have loved so many of Catherine Cowles’ books and I’m so excited she is being traditionally published!!!

This was so good!!! The suspense plot was so interesting — I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know who the killer was!!! I did guess it at the end, but it still was crazy.

I also loved the romance — it was really sweet!! I also just love the protectiveness of Catherine’s male main characters.

Not my favorite by Catherine but still really enjoyed it and hopeful this will be a series!!

Give me all the Chaos! All the Missing Pieces by Catherine Cowles was an emotional, small-town suspenseful romance that took my heart on a whirlwind of a ride. I was not fully prepared for the heartache and healing I was in for, but Catherine’s beautiful words always soothe the soul (after I shed a few tears). Ridley and Colt’s journey to HEA was full of risk, danger, tension, secrets, and love, and once I started this book, I could not stop reading. Ridley’s persistence, drive, and passion were reckless and endearing at the same time. Colt’s grumpy guarded exterior made him hard to love at first, but of course, Ridley was just the woman to tear down those walls, so he could learn to let love in. The slow-burn chemistry between Ridley and Colt simmered, and their connection was undeniable when they finally gave in to temptation.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a small-town suspenseful romance with a broody sheriff, a feisty passionate true crime podcaster, a purrfect cat, danger, cold cases, secrets about the past, gossip, speaking your truth, slow burn steam, a heart-racing climax, and a HEA that will piece your heart back together, then you will love Ridley and Colt’s story. I always look forward to more from Catherine Cowles.

5⭐️ this just became my favorite catherine cowles book!

If I’m ever in the mood to read a romantic suspense, I always pick up something by Catherine Cowles. This book follows Ridley who is a true crime podcaster. Her sister disappeared when she was younger and now Ridley travels around to make podcasts about cold cases. She ends up in a small town to cover a new case and has a run in with the sheriff, Colt.

I could not stop reading this and finished it in under 24 hours! The podcast and investigative journalism aspect to this was so entertaining. The suspense, the romance, the spice, the cute animals, everything was just top tier.

If you have not read a catherine cowles book definitely check them out!

Thank you Netgalley and Sourcebooks for this arc.
