Tessa Bailey is seriously one of my favorite authors writing contemporary romance today. I love that we got Sig and Chloe's story all the taboo sister and brother in law will they won't they included. Signature Tessa Bailey banter and just an all around fun read.

If you’re looking for a quick read where the MMC is immediately obsessed with the FMC, this one is for you.

Sig is broody, protective, possessive, determined, and charming. He falls for Chloe almost immediately and gives the vibe of a guy that will stop at nothing to make her happy.

Chloe fell a little flat for me. I was missing the depth of character from her. She has moments of depth throughout the story and I found myself feeling happy for her growth, but overall I found her hard to like.

The spice level was high in this book. It felt, at times, like the main thread holding the story together. If tension is your thing, then you would love this book. It was, however, not for me.

This was my first Tessa Bailey book. I’m not sure her writing is my preference, but I can see why she is beloved. She is the quintessential rom com author that brings you back to the movies in the early 2000’s we all loved while adding her own spicy touch.

Thank you NetGalley and Tessa Bailey for the advanced copy of this book ♥️

I have been looking forward to Sig and Chloe’s story since reading about them in The Au-Pair Affair. Love at first sight just to be thwarted by the knowledge that their parents are getting married? Give me all the feels, and wrapped up in Tessa Bailey’s words? I’m in. I absolutely loved this book. 5 stars.

Okay, this might be my favorite Tessa Bailey series yet! I have loved all three - thank you NetGalley for the ARC to read this one early!

Such great banter and chemistry. I truly read it in an afternoon and would read it again in a heartbeat. Loved to see the interconnections with all the characters in the series.

Dream Girl Drama is everything we all want and anticipate from Tessa Bailey. While the forbidden love trope is not generally my thing, it was hard to not be 100% on board with Sig and Chloe’s growing relationship. The constant sexual tension led to such an amazing moment when they finally gave in, and Tessa showed her colors as the queen of dirty talk.
I had some mixed feelings about our MCs. I loved Sig’s protectiveness and dedication to Chloe, but sometimes it felt a little too far and almost crossed the line into feeling a bit degrading to me. I loved Chloe’s naivety, optimism, and genuine joy that she approaches everything with, but sometimes I got annoyed with how far the “blind rich girl” went (like not realizing that Sig doesn’t have unlimited money and blowing the rent money on Sephora products).
I loved watching their relationship evolve and seeing them support each other in their respective paths, and the “good girl” comments had me swooning.
Now I’m just hoping to see Corrigan and Skyler in the next book!

This book was good but the beginning was slow for me which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall it was really good just a little slow getting to the dirty scenes. The plot was amazing and I was shocked at the ending! Another great Tessa book! Can’t wait to own it on paperback! I hope there are more hockey books in the future.

If I were to be given a choice of to never have a taco again or never read a Tessa Bailey book again, let me assure you that I’d be living the rest of my days without tacos because this book was IMMACULATE. (Also side bar, I really love tacos so this is a big deal)

Future step siblings who can't be together? Hockey sports romance? Forbidden romance? Insta love? Adding a dash of grumpy vs sunshine and a whole lot of I'll take care of you microtope? YALL I OBVIOUSLY ATE THIS UP.

Sig and Chloe were just perfect together. Their sexual chemistry was to die for. Genuinely. It has been so long since I've read a book where the chemistry was this insane. The tension almost had me on my knees. You'll fall in love with Sig easily. His I'll look after you energy just made my life complete, and Chloe's way with people and big heart was just magnificent. Easily devourable in a day, Tessa Bailey's newest is the hit I expected it to be.

(Also side bar, I really love tacos so this is a big deal)

I am so looking forward to the Orgasm Donors books. Those lovable goofballs.

premise: he's a professional hockey player of humble origins on his way to visit his estranged father for dinner when his car breaks down. he has a magical meet cute and make out with the titled dream girl while waiting for aaa. they schedule to continue their dalliance after their respective dinners but dreams are dashed when surprise they're at the same dinner when his dad announces an engagement to her mom. they have to keep it above board if they're going to be future step-siblings in a few months but they can't forget their unfinished business.

what this has going for it that readers will like:
• their chemistry is off the charts.
• he is whipped and in love from page 1.
• she's a spoiled country club girl who decides to make it on her own, away from her overbearing mother and wealth. she moves to boston and our mmc helps her adult from laundry lessons to finding her first apartment etc. he spoils her, financially sponsors her for a bit, has a whole possessive thing about her even though he shouldn't. it's all red flags in most, if not all, scenarios except it works here because he's so whipped. puppy/guard dog boyfriend all the way through.
• there's a whole hockey vs baseball situation that's totally unnecessary but a fun diversion.
• he talks dirty and flirts with only her as easily as breathing air.
• her journey towards independence is cute and endearing.
• a bunch of zany fun side characters.

the step-sibling drama is straight out of an anime. it is a bit hard to just stay in the fun of the rom com because their step-sibling relationship mentioned so often. it is less creepy because she is 25 and he is 29 so they aren't impressional teens. it's the only conflict for our leads so it's mentioned a lot just fysa. this is a campy fun read so it stays light and only borders on taboo.

what helps is that the main focus and what's all over this book from start to finish is two stranger's meeting, having instant chemistry and connection, then building rapport to support the other's respective careers.

I may be an anomaly but I love the insta love trope and this book 100% delivered. Tessa Bailey knows how to write spice and dirty talk like no other and this was no exception. From the taboo element, all the hockey and music talk and the most heartfelt exchanges, it was easy to root for these two. Full review will come closer to pub day! But, I highly recommend reading the first two Big Shots books first to anticipate the release.

Thank you Avon for the early copy!

Maybe it’s to early and I’m still riding the high of this book butttttt this could possibly be one of the best books Tessa Bailey has written 🫣. The yearning and banter between the two main characters were 🤌🏻💋. Sig is definitely one of my favorite book boyfriends 😏.

Sig and Chloe meet and sparks fly immediately. They are both taken with each other immediately. When they part ways to attend their separate plans, they find out that their parents are getting married and they will be future step siblings. As a professional hockey player and a high profile harpist, their relationship draws unwanted media attention.

This is book 3 of the Big Shots series, but could be read as a stand-alone as well. I really enjoyed this one! Tessa Bailey books are generally a guaranteed good time, filled with humor, spice, and sweet moments. I loved Sig as a MMC. He was so caring and giving, and really took on a protective role without being over the top. I know some people aren’t a fan of the love at first sight trope, but I honestly enjoy it. Sig and Chloe fell fast and hard, and at first it’s probably lust but you can see the relationship grow through small time jumps in the book. The only thing that really kept me from rating this one a full 5 stars was Chloe’s character. She is quite helpless and comes off as a bit of an airhead, but is also a prodigy. This disconnect just didn’t quite work for me and I would have preferred a stronger female character (just my own personal preference). However, I think the book is fun overall and the forbidden love trope was something different for me in a rom com. Fans of hockey romance, spicy rom coms, forbidden love, and love at first sight tropes will absolutely love this book!

Thank you to Tessa Bailey and Avon books for the early access and chance to read and review.

I have to say I’ve been anticipating Sig and Chloe’s story for a long time. The snippets we got of them in the Au Pair Affair were just too few and far between. Thank god Tessa has our best interests at heart and decided to bless us with Dream Girl Drama.

Sig is on his way to being the Bearcats next captain and earning that fat new contract but he just happens to get hit with the love bug two hours before he finds out Chloe is to become his new step sister. Dating your step sister is not a good look for the team nor for Chloe’s mother and their posh reputations. Sig is determined to find a way for him and Chloe to be together but in the mean time it’s literal torture to try and keep his feelings at bay.

I absolutely loved Sig and how much he supported and encouraged Chloe in trying to learn to be independent. He of course spoiled her rotten and indulged her every quirky whim but it was adorable. Chloe was naive but she had a great determination to break free of her mother’s chains and make it on her own, very admirable! Their torture and angst was soooo good I don’t know how I made it through all 320 pages of it haha. When they finally do give in to their feelings it’s wild and almost animalistic, very hot! I will say I had the twist figured out pretty early on but it did not deter from how much I enjoyed this book. And there’s an adorable dog in this story for all you dog lovers out there.

Overall I found Dream Girl Drama to be way better than Au Pair Affair and I might even like it better than Fan Girl Down. Tessa has totally redeemed herself to me! Thank you so much to Avon and Harper Voyager for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review!

Tessa Bailey the woman that you are… you never miss. This one was a fun addition in her Big Shots sports series. Continuing the storyline with the hockey team, we follow Sig and Chloe as they have a meet cute to end all meet cutes. But before they can go on a real date they learnt that their parents are engaged and they’re future..step siblings? While Sign helps Chloe learn to be independent from her controlling mother, their feelings for each other deepen, though they know it could never happen.

The premise of this book was pretty wild but I had a really great time reading it. I found Chloe’s plot line with her mother and her harp playing journey really interesting, and loved seeing her grow into her musicianship. I think The Au Pair Affair is still my favorite, but this was so fun!
4/5

this one felt a little rushed by Tessa. It's a very fast read but I think that is in part of her publisher wanting more books on the market. The sexual tension for me just wasn't there.

This just falls flat for me whereas I was hoping for more, I am less excited to read new Tessa Bailey books at this point.

Forbidden romance, hockey romance, slow burn, yet spicy and steam. I enjoyed reading this. Thank you, Netgalley, Avon and Harper Voyager for giving me the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

“Dream Girl Drama” knocked my skates off.

The pining. The tension. The want and desire. The forbidden, star crossed lovers. The highest of stakes. This was EVERYTHING. Sig is head over heels for Chloe and so far gone he can’t even remember life without her. That’s what I’m talking about. “Dream
Girl Drama” is the book I’ve been waiting for since I fell in love with Tessa Bailey’s “It Happened One Summer”. Sig has the possessive, love obsessed qualities of Brendan, and Chloe has those delightful quirks of Piper that were so exceptionally endearing you couldn’t help but root for her.

Tessa Bailey scores a hat trick on her third book of the Big Shots series. Fangirl Down and The Au Pair Affair were delightful sports romances that I absolutely adored, but Dream Girl Drama is the pinnacle of romance. I couldn’t have asked for better. I am going to be rereading Sig and Chloe’s story over and over again for years to come.

📖 Book Review 📖 Dream Girl Drama might go down in the books for the funniest, most memorable opening meet cutes between Sig and Chloe. Tessa Bailey paints a perfect moment that had me laughing…and then utterly heartbroken when these two find out they are about to become step siblings. Tensions are high within this soon to be blended family but if there’s one thing Sig is determined to do, it’s to look out for Chloe and so he offers to bring her to Boston and help her finally gain independence away from her mother. And while she settles into Berklee Conservatory and he continues his hockey career, the chemistry between the two from that first night is not forgotten and the slow burn is real! Tessa Bailey has done it again with the third installation on her Big Shots series and I was most certainly holding my breath in anticipation of how it was going to play out for these two.

Third in what I call a "Buddy Book" series didn't disappoint. This is probably the only way I would read a step-sibling romance because it's the least cringy way they could have done it lol.

While I liked the first two books more, I think this was an awesome follow up and will definitely suit some tastes more than the other two. The building tension was JUICY, making the book a bit less explicitly spicy, I'd say, than a lot of TB's books. I also love the subverting of the "rich boy poor girl trope." The flipped script was refreshing and I got a little nostalgia from the first time I read It Happened One Summer with the grumpy-sunshine dynamic. Overall I'd highly recommend and will be selling at Friends to Lovers in DC!

I really enjoy Tessa Bailey's books, especially this series, and this book didn't disappoint. I was hesitant about reading it because of the forbidden step-siblings trope, which I usually find weird and unappealing. However, Bailey's clever writing changed my mind about it. It was like a "right person, wrong time" situation, and I was all for that. I enjoyed the slow burn but I was disappointed that Bailey did not highlight some of their cute moments. We only got a glimpse of their cute moments. The book had everything you want in a sport romance, forbidden step-siblings romance, a hot hockey player, steamy chemistry , and a cute bulldog named Pierre! The dog was my favorite character hands down!
