"A man who calls you pretty, Chloe, is a fucking fool. You aren't pretty, you're brutally goddamn beautiful. You glow with life. You're crazy. You have heart. You have love pouring out of you. You're brilliant and creative. So gorgeous I've lost thousands of hours of sleep. You have a body that demands someone spoil it often and fuck it twice as often. Pretty? I'd spit on a man for calling you pretty. You're extraordinary. The first and last of your kind."
I have been waiting for Sig and Chloe’s book since we were introduced to them in The Au Pair Affair! The chemistry between the two of them is everything. I loved how Sig knows that Chloe is the one and truly wants her as his wife even though they are going to be step siblings soon. He is always there for Chloe and it was so sweet all the things he does for her. I especially loved how protective he was of her! I do wish that they would have ignored the fact that they were going to be future step siblings a little earlier so we didn’t have to wait so long for them to be together! The steamy scenes were so freaking good in this book! Tessa can do no wrong! 😍

Tessa Bailey always hits home. The perfect mix of banter, grumpy sunshine, lighthearted female lead. I loved the balance she gave with the hockey/Harpist vibe. It didn't feel overly sports centered, nor was it to far into the artistic space. I felt like I was right there with them through their story. and of course Tessa always brings the spice! This was such a fun read!

I think that this book started out VERY strong - I was a little turned off by the surprise step-sibling thing (that isn't a spoiler, it's revealed within the first couple of chapters) but the plot and characters made up for it.
As the book went on... I fell out of love with it. Chloe was extremely immature socially, like in a completely unrealistic way... she doesn't even know how to look up how to do laundry?? This character flaw just made it extremely hard to connect with her.
The twist at the end of the book saved the day for me - I really didn't see it coming.
Overall, if you're looking for a slow-burn, quick romantic read, this is a great option.
Thank you to Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review

I adore this series! I know a lot of people think the future stepsibling thing is insanely taboo, but Tessa does this one wonderfully! I love that there is so much to Chloe, a harpist? haven't read that one before, a rival between a hockey team and a baseball team over something so trivial? heck yeah! I feel in my bones my overall apathy towards hockey romances, but this one brought me back to life. I loved the plot twist (that I somehow didn't figure out!) and can't wait for book 4! Tessa is KILLING IT with this series!!

I have read several books by Tessa Bailey and the Au Pair series (which this one is in) is my favorite. At this point, Tessa Bailey could publish her grocery list and I'd read it. I was so excited to get early access to this book. Just as the others in the series, the characters were likeable and I couldn't put the book down. Definitely recommend!

As someone who has never been drawn to hockey romances, I fear that my feedback and rating is reflective of that fact. I DNFed quite quickly as I disliked both of the main characters and was put off by the instalove/lust. I've been moving away from books that feel smutty just for the sake of it. Again, my review if skewed by the nature of what I enjoy reading and what this book is (understandably) not.

Yesssssss Tessa Bailey coming in hot with the taboo (kinda of LOL… very very mild taboo since they’re not related at all and also never lived together . But still!!

I DNF'd 25% in. I could not get into this book, and I tried, hard. I don't mind instant love, but would have liked more of a build up. He was all in immediately and I was left cringing more than anything.
Thank you, netgalley for the opportunity to read this arc.

I was a bit doubtful throughout this book because of the trope. I didn’t know how to feel about the almost related type relationship. I almost stopped a few times because of it. Once the ending cleared it up though it made it much better. It was overall a good book and a quick and easy read.

4.5 stars, Spice 🔥🔥
This series is 🔥
Sig and Chloe’s story now gets the spotlight it deserves after their mention in The Au Pair Affair.
Tessa Bailey always create something special with her books.I also love in her acknowledgements of writing a verging-on-taboo story and that was exactly my thoughts while reading this.
-Forbidden Love💗
-Dream Girl (Duhh the title)
-Soulmates 😍
-Possessiveness
-Sports Romance- hello part of this series! 🏒
-Family Drama with potential step sibling relationship?!?!
Miss Chloe: harp prodigy/enthusiast, over-bearing mother and spoiled with no knowledge of the real world but in some ways felt overall genuine. And her craziness was kind of cute. Ultimately she was a hot mess express that was steadily gaining her independence.
Sig: He is broody and hot, friends with Sir Savage, makes Chloe his entire world but is off limits due to the fact his father is marrying her mom.
Can they find a way to be together? Potentially putting both of their careers on the line or will they say goodbye forever?
Overall my disappointment was that the plot was focused on something I felt could be ignored but I believe that Tessa was trying to have this verging on taboo. Therefore sometimes the spicy scenes felt embarrassing for me because step sibling categories just isn't for me.
(Adult future step siblings that meet and fall for each other prior to knowing they would be step siblings. I mean I am sure that there are some people out there who make that work without it being entirely weird or drawing negative attention. )
I think Tessa did an overall wonderful job with this book and the plot does make this funny and complicated.
So do I think you should read this just because its by Tessa Bailey then yes I do! Butttttt, you should also read this because its steamy, forbidden and somehow sweet and caring all at the same time.
Make this your next binge-read- Im begging you!!
Thank you so much to Avon and Harper Voyager & NetGalley, for the digital ARC of Dream Girl Drama in exchange for my honest review.
I squealed with excitement getting to read a Tessa Bailey book as an ARC.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars
Sig Gauthier and Chloe Clifford’s insta-love and following moral conflict about being together was an easy read. While their main issue was the impending nuptials of their parents, these are 25 and 29 year olds who are only really concerned with their professional images. The set up for other books in the series was nice, but this one falls a little flat.

Was this cute? Yes. Did it have a realistic outcome? No. Quick easy read but I couldn’t really connect with either of the MCs to be honest.. which sucks because this is the second Tessa Bailey book I’ve done this month that I haven’t loved 😭
I think there are many people that would love this though but definitely not my favorite Tessa Bailey book

Sig Gauthier and Chloe Clifford have such a great meet cute. Instantly he knew that Chloe was going to be the one for him and she felt a magnetic pull to him that they both have never experienced before with anyone else. He was going to visit his dad to meet his dad’s new girlfriend since they had an announcement they wanted to share. While they met under innocent measures, Sig and Chloe’s relationship was going to take a turn before they even started as Sig’s dad is marrying Chloe’s mom so they were going to soon be step siblings! Sig is an incredible hockey player for the Bearcats, he grew up and learned everything from a young age because his mother raised him as a single parent since his dad walked away from them. and Chloe is a harp prodigy who seeks to be able to choose her own path as she wants to attend a conservatory in Boston. Her mother has sheltered her for her whole life and she has only played the harp the way her mother had wanted. Sig will do anything and be anything for Chloe and it is so cute! Even if they have a huge obstacle to overcome, if there is a way Sig will find it! I am absolutely in love with Sig and this man deserves all the flowers in the world! Chloe was a little clueless at time, but I will say she was raised to be coddled by her mother so I cannot fault her for it. The solution was just okay. But to be fair I think this was that best case scenario.

I'll be honest, I went into this read with a lot of trepidation - the future step-sibling aspect of this book freaked me out a bit. But, I adored The Au Pair Affair and ultimately wanted to spend more time with the Bearcats hockey team, so I gave this book a whirl! Tessa Bailey did a nice job of taking us back and in time to Chloe and Sig's meet-cute before they knew their parents were about to marry one another, making the whole future step-sibling thing far less cringy than I thought it would be.
Sig's beloved truck breaks down on his way to meet his estranged father. He stops in a hoity-toity country club to call for roadside assistance, but, the staff bars him from entering seeing as he is not a member. That is, until Chloe invites him in as her guest. Sparks immediately fly, but, they each remember they have dinner plans. They agree to meet up later that night and head their separate ways.
It turns out their dinner plans are one and the same, and Chloe's mom is marrying Sig's dad.
In the shock of this announcement, Chloe makes the decision to move to Boston to study the harp, but growing up surrounded by wealth, she has never had to take care of herself or think about how much money it costs to live on her own. Sig immediately offers to be her guide to Boston and living on her her own., setting him up for his own kind of torture - spending significant amounts of time with Chloe while not being able to act on his feelings.
I fell in love with Sig in The Au Pair Affair, and I loved reading his backstory. I particularly enjoyed all the interactions between him and Sir Savage who makes plenty of appearances in this book! The rookies do too - and I am so excited to read their love stories. We get a tease of Corrigan's love story in this book, and let me tell you, it's going to be good!
Without ruining the twist, I will say that I did see it coming. Many reviewers noted that they didn't see it coming, but, I do read a lot of romances and watch a lot of tv, so I found it a bit predictable. Nevertheless, it didn't take away from story, and it's still a fun story! I normally don't love instaromance books, but the rapport built between the two main characters made their love story more believable.

enjoyed this a lot more than au pair affair! in true TB fashion, i was kept entertained with all the side characters and chemistry between chloe and sig. pacing is a bit odd in the beginning and it was anticlimactic given the whole step siblings dynamic, but i still had a good time. intrigued by our book 4 couple so ill be tuning in — overall, a very fun addition to the series!

I was very interested in this book after meeting the characters in the previous two in this series and wanted more insight and back story. The insta love and almost obsession through me off at the beginning of this book and made it hard to emotional connect or care about the characters. I can understand the dilemma they were in but was just confused how they fell in love and were obsessed after about an hour or two of knowing eachother. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the overly possessive MMC and seemingly helpless FMC. There were certain situations where the FMC lacked self awareness and it was just hard to empathize with her! I’m glad the story wrapped up the way it did with this being considered taboo! Parts of the story were a little immature and unrealistic but there were elements that were still entertaining!
Thank you NetGalley and HaperCollins for the ARC in exchange for me honest review!

What if you meet your dream girl and had the most meaningful hour of your life telling you that you will never be the same until you have this woman in your life? Sid Gauthier is a professional hockey player how has been estranged from his father since he was young. Sid only remembers that he ran off with his mother’s money and after that, Sid and his mother struggled through out his childhood. Sid believed for years that his father was nothing but a conman.
When Sid shows up to his father’s fiancés’ mansion, Sid sees his father is up to his old tricks. He walks in and hears the most beautiful sound. His “dream girl” Chloe Clifford is playing her harp. He can’t believe that he found her. Then he finds out this “dream girl” is about to become his stepsister.
For me this was another hit for the talented Tessa Bailey! I loved the Forbidden Romance, grumpy v. sunshine, and the need for Sid to care for Chloe, but still trying to give her independence. This was a laugh out loud, cheer for the two main characters kind of book. I also was invested in the side characters as well, since they were from the last two books in the Big Hits series. Fan Girl Down and The Au Pair Affair. I can’t wait to read Pitcher Perfect (coming in fall of 2025).
My thanks to Avon and Harper Voyager, The Author Tessa Bailey, as well as NetGalley, for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of Dream Girl Drama.

DREAM GIRL DRAMA was an amazing third book in this series. I read it in one day and when my husband tried to talk to me, I told him that I was too busy reading a book that I was enjoying. I feel like this book was Tessa Bailey at her finest.
I’m a huge fan of trope filled, light romance reads and this is what I got in this book. It was fast. It was fun. It was funny. And it was spicy. The FMC and MMC had such chemistry and the story was filled with angst, but also plot. I couldn’t put it down. It just reminds me of why this author is so popular and that she is great at what she does.
Overall, I think this is a great book and one that you should read.

Tessa Bailey could go back to the 1900s and add dirty words to the phone book and I would buy it.
I was so excited for this book because the whole time book #2 was unfolding, I was more interested in Chloe and Sig.
Chloe, a spoiled harp player who is trying to break her mom’s hold over her.
Sig, professional hockey player not getting paid his worth.
They began the night meeting by chance at a country club. They ended the night future step-siblings.
Tempers flare between children and parents, with Chloe moving to Boston to become a strong independent woman, and Sig (recently signed with a new hockey team,) on standby to catch her every time she falters.
With time as their enemy and wedding bells in the distance, Sig and Chloe have to come to terms that soon they’ll be siblings and their chemistry must be ignored. Which is easier said than done.
When a decades old secret comes to light, will it be enough for everyone to get their Happily Ever Afters?
I enjoyed Dream Girl Drama so much! Probably my favorite since Hook, Line and Sinker. The characters are lovable, the talk is dirty, the hockey is exciting. Ofcourse, the spice 10/10.
Thank you infinity to NetGalley and the ALA.

I really liked the first half of this book, but the last half was so over the top. The overprotection and the animalistic love became very cringey. The conclusion was so rushed and everything just seemed too easy given all of the drama that kept them apart in the first place.
