I wanted to like this book so much since I liked Fangirl Down. However there is a lot that bothers me about this book and honestly was lacking in all places. I had to DNF at 57%.
First: Chloe is so immature and childish that I'm surprised anyone liked her. Somehow she is the daughter of wealthy people but has never heard of Sephora. Let's not even talk about her spending habits and how she never gets a job since Sig is constantly babying her. Literally she tells her landlord she bought eye creams instead of paying rent which was a week behind
Secondly: Sig (yes that is his name) was so overprotective that it was just stupid and unbelievable as well. He is constantly making excuses for Chloe and saying he deserves the wolrd because she comes from a rich family. UGH! He also has to budget money because he lacks a spine to tell Chloe "no" when it comes to money.
Third: They had an instant love connection that wasn't even real. Boht character literally met inthe first chapter, kiss, then spend the rest of the book talking about banging each other constantly.

Oh how I love a Tessa Bailey novel and this story was one I was ready for her to explore. Sig and Chloeโs story I feel was far more developed than any of her other books. There were layers of sadness, desire, need, love, fear and happiness. I loved that the MCs came together and also faced challenges. The ending was suspenseful but was perfect! As always, she never leaves you without spice and this book went places I have yet to read her go. I blushed, and I rarely blush. โบ๏ธ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
The book read really well I liked the back-and-forth from different characters perspectives I really enjoyed. The characters. Burgess, Tallulah, and the orgasm donors are in this book quite a bit so it is nice to have them in this story.

Title: Dream Girl Drama
Author: Tessa Bailey
Series: Big Shots #3

Well, I knew while reading The Au Pair Affair that I was going to love Sig and Chloe's story, and dannnng was I right.
Sig, our loveable, obsessive, protective professional hockey player had me hooked from the absolute start (in all honesty, since that scene in TAPA๐). He was always willing to bend over backwards for Chloe, and while a few times it may have been a bit much, every other time was SO CUTE! He was one of those cute teddy bear characters on the outside, but when in the bedroom, he had a mouth that was on fire ๐ฅ๐ฅต
It was amazing to see Chloe, our first time adventurer and first class harpist, come out of her shell and achieve her goals. The intense insta-chemistry between these two soon to be step-siblings was extreme and I was absolutely living for it! One thing that definitely wasn't on my bingo card was an intense hockey x baseball rivalry (book 4....maybe...potentially....hopefully?).
I have loved each of the Big Shots books, but Sig is definitely my favorite so far!
This is a must read once it is released on February 4, 2025!
Read this book if you enjoy:
- Forbidden romance
- Hockey romance
- Future step siblings
- Insta-love
- He takes care of her in every way possible
- Harps
- Baseball
- Dogs
A huge HUGE thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager, NetGalley, and Tessa Bailey for the ARC/eARC for an honest review!

First i would love to thank everyone who had anything to do with me being able to get my hands on this book early (you are fantastic and I hope you are having the best year ever). I truly had my hesitations requesting this book since I knew this was the third book in the series and i had yet to read the other two. I will say reading this book made me want to go back and read the other two books in the series thats how fantastic Dream Girl Drama is. This book was everything i wanted it to be and more from the characters, the plot, the sex (OH MY GOD THE SEX) this book is a five star book in my eyes. The only issue i had was with the timeline, it seemed to be a little choppy in my opinion especially with the wedding timeline being a really big factor in driving the plot forward. Overall this book was fantastic and i will recommend it to anyone looking to dip their toe in the Tessa Bailey world or someone looking for a perfect one sitting read.

Hockey player Sig, after running into his Dream Girl Chloe at a chance encounter at a country club hours outside of his home city of Boston, discovers that Chloe is actually about to be his new stepsister.
I really thought I wasn't going to like this book that much based on the brief look we got at Sig and Chloe in The Au Pair Affair, but I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised! You've got your classic steamy Tessa romance that you crave, overprotective man and all! I just wish there was more hockey in my hockey romance.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Iโve been highly anticipating Sig and Chloeโs backstory with all the tension in the last book.
Iโm usually not a fan of step-sibling type romances, but Tessa handled it SO well and made it not cringy, which I didnโt think would be possible with this trope.
The way Sig thinks about Chloeโฆ GAH. So sweet, romantic and even a little dirty at times. He lives and breathes for this girl and his dedication to finding a way to make her his.. ๐ฅนโค๏ธ๐ซ
I loved that even though Chloe had an entitled upbringing, she wanted to find her own way and Sig was there to support here through it all. Like providing her with her own apartment and making sure she was always fed.
I also loved the Baseball scene and jealousy surrounding that ๐ canโt have a slow burn without some rivalry!

I think this was a great story. I liked the tropes throughout and it was enjoyable. I didn't connect with a couple of character names, but that was easy for me to get around.

This was the cutest read! I loved these characters from the first chapter! Their banter, vibe together was great!
I loved the storyline and it had me really rooting for them! It made me laugh, tear up, all the emotions! It had great spice as well! I will be reading more from Tessa Bailey!
Thank you NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyage for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest review.

Tessa Baileyโs Dream Girl Drama serves up a lively mix of romance, comedy, and just enough tension to keep things interesting. The chemistry between the main characters is electric, and Baileyโs signature wit is on full display, making the banter a highlight of the book.
Baileyโs knack for writing sizzling romance is undeniable, and fans of her work will find plenty to love here. However, readers looking for a deeper exploration of the characters or a truly unique plot might feel a bit underwhelmed.
Overall, Dream Girl Drama is a solid, enjoyable read perfect for a cozy afternoon or a weekend escape. It delivers the laughs, the steam, and the drama, even if it doesnโt quite break new ground.

K am absolutely love struck by this book in a different way than other Tessa Bailey books. Seeing the instant love and admiration Sig has for Chloe is so heartwarming. Chloe is quick witted and the perfect counterpart for Sig. I love seeing the full story between these two after having glimpses into their dynamic in The Au Pair Affair. Absolute must read!

I didn't like how slow the burn was or that they were both avoiding each other. I was confused about the timeline of this compared with book2.

Omg good gracious goodness. Can I said I loved it so mich, the chemistry off the charts , the plot!!! The drama!!!! This two had me on the edge of my seat all book long. Definitely recommending big time!!!!

This is book 3 in the Big Shots series although it could definitely be read as a standalone. Sig and Chloe are mentioned quite a bit in Book 2. This book goes back to Sig and Chloe's origin before they realize they are going to be step siblings. There's definite attraction between these two and I love the friendship they have. I also like how Sig helps Chloe become more independent. He annoyed me with how overprotective he was but that's not an uncommon trope in romance novels - it's just not my favorite one. This was good and the ending was unexpected.

The Big Shots Series has been and easy favorite this year, and I was so happy to receive a digital ARC of book three! We get to know Chole and Sig in book two while they are both living in Boston and we get a glimpse of their unique relationship. In their standalone book we go back a little further to see how these two met and inevitably their connection comes crashing down when they find out they will be stepsibling soon. At first, I was unsure I wanted to read about this type of relationship dynamic but between the family drama, the sexual tension and witty banter I couldn't pull myself away. I really enjoyed seeing the background of Chole trying to be independent for the first time in her life, but Sig is dead set on giving her everything in the world no matter what it takes. it's only a matter of time before they break their promise to stay best friends over the year before their parents' wedding. The story is full of drama of course, jealously, dodging headlines, meddling parents and a lot of protectiveness we know all too well. When it comes to having to choose between his dream contract or his dream girl can Sig really stay away from Chole? โIt's hockey or herโ

Well this was completely adorable and such a swoony romance. The love between Sig + Chloe is all consuming, passionate and true. They are a match made in heaven. Let it be noted that ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ is absolutely insta love but itโs extra cute and all around a feel good read. Sig was an ideal book boyfriend. The man was downright obsessed with Chloe and I ate it up! Overall, itโs super cute and a really fun vibe.

3.5 stars. I wonโt lie, while I did read this in one sitting I was still left a bit disappointed, it was good but didnโt live up to my expectations and I would say itโs my least favorite Tessa Bailey book. Normally she hits it out of the park, and once again it was still a very enjoyable book, but itโs not one Iโll find myself wanting to reread.
I think the first chapter about how they met was fantastic. But afterward, they fell in love off page over a series of time skips before catching up to the present so we didnโt really get to see them fall in love, they just suddenly went zero to a hundred before our eyes
And while I loved Chloeโs personality, I felt like Sig lacked one. His entire personality was based off the fact that he was completely obsessed and in love with Chloe and not much else. Donโt get me wrong, I love a man obsessed and down bad, I really loved how protective and possessive he was but also how sweet and caring. This man spoiled his girl, I just wish he had more of a personality outside of that.
Also, there was very minimal spice in this. Not necessarily a bad thing, just surprising since Tessa usually puts lots of spice in her books. There were two spicy scenes, one of which was very short. So if youโre hoping for a very spicy book, this isnโt it. But I wouldnโt let that stop you from reading it.
Overall it was a fun read and I recommend it, but It could have used some improvements.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!
Unfortunately this book was not for me. The relationship between Chloe and Sig felt super rushed and I didnโt feel connected to any of the characters. I usually love a hockey romance, too!

I highly recommend this book if you like the following tropes:
-potential step siblings
-best friends to lovers
-forbidden love
-he falls first
-he would burn the world down for her
This is absolutely my favorite of the 3 so far (Eltonโs book next? One can only hope). If you are looking for an MMC that shows love with actions, this is the book for you. This whole series has men that will fit that category, but Sig is the best out of the 3 IMO. The beginning was a little far fetched and insta-lovey for me, but I love that they built their friendship up before they gave into the romance aspect. All 3 books are great, but if you had to pick one of the three to read, make it this one.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC.

3.75 stars. โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ
Dream Girl Drama - thatโs for sure.
This was soap opera level drama and Iโm not going to lie - I ended up having a great time. I did, however, struggle immensely to get past the first initial few chapters and the beginning meet cute. I am so not a โlove at first sightโ and โinsta loveโ fan - and this kind of reiterated that. Chloe and Sig met each other once and were immediately in love.
Sig was a big ole protective teddy bear and Chloe was a goofball with no clue - so in the end, they worked. I enjoyed their eventual best friend vibe and was honestly really pleased with the pacing past the beginning few chapters.
And the lil twist that I didnโt see coming - ๐งโ๐ณ๐. I was searching my brain for how Sig and Chloe could be together without feeling โickโ about the whole step sibling thing - and Tessa said โvoila! the perfect solution.โ
In the end, big ole thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for providing me an e-ARC.

Tessa Bailey is an auto-read for me, and I just loved the continuation of the "Big Shots" world in Dream Girl Drama. As usual, the big, burly, alpha hockey player was dreamy, and it is a very interesting twist to have the two main characters about to become step siblings. I loved learning more about Sig and Chloe as well as visiting some favorite characters from the first two books of "Big Shots." (I definitely recommend that you read the first two to get the full experience, although it isn't necessary.) If you already read Tessa Bailey, you know she is a master of spice, so get ready. :)
