In classic Tessa Bailey style, this is charming, funny, hilarious and steamy!

I was looking forward to the next book in the series and it did not disappoint. It's got some forbidden romance goodness in a witty and funny way when their parents are dating but they also like each other. Fans of Gossip girl will love that trope. It has classic Tessa humor which I. enjoyed but one thing I love was that her characters are always such great personalities and its character driven so reading the book is quick paced, does not drag and enjoyable! I loved it and plus hockey? Such a fun book! a must read for 2025

I just finished Dream Girl Drama by Tessa Bailey, and wow, it did not disappoint! As a huge fan of the Big Shot series (and really all of Tessa Bailey’s books), I went into this one with high expectations, and Bailey delivered. Dream Girl Drama is everything you’d want in a rom-com: spicy, hilarious, and just the right amount of emotional depth.

This one started out feeling very insta-love like which I personally not a fan of but then because they’re soon to be kind-of-almost related it turns into this wonderful slow burn filled with tension and yearning. I love Chloe and Sig so much. Getting to see Chloe come into her own after living such a sheltered life was just wonderful. And even though Sig’s protectiveness veered a little too close to controlling at times, I really did enjoy him doing everything he could to be there for Chloe.

Overall, this one earned a solid 4.5 stars for me. If you’re already a fan of the Big Shot series, you’re going to adore this one—and if you’re new to it, be prepared to binge the whole series after this!

Thank you so much to Tessa Bailey, Netgalley, and Avon | Harper Voyager for this ARC in exchange for my honest review

This book was GREAT!!! I loved the character development and the love story!!! I would recommend this book to anyone. If you don’t take a chance to read this you’ll be missing out for sure. I’ve been wanting to know more about these characters story ever since I read the au pair affair so I was excited to find out that their story was next to be told. This overall was a great book, but you can’t expect much less from Tessa bailey. Five stars!!!!!

Dream Girl Drama is the perfect combination of heart and frustration. There is so much to love about Sig and Chloe, from their adorable meet cute to the way they truly are each other’s best friend. The frustration comes from having to watch two soul mates struggle for most of the book because they know they are off limits to each other because their parents are getting married. It is a beautiful frustration, though, because the slow burn was felt so deeply and I have never turned pages faster hoping they found a way to get their happily ever after without giving up their professional dreams. This will remain spoiler free, but I will just say the book had a great ending and I hope we get more glimpses of Sig and Chloe in the next book. Side note: I cannot wait for the next couple because their chemistry is already off the charts and so much fun to see their flirtation start! I am definitely team “Sloe” or “Chlog” and I think you will fall in love with them like I did! You can read this as a standalone, but I am really glad I read The Au Pair Affair first (it gives more context to some of the returning characters).

I absolutely love this book. I reread the first two books in the series before reading this and what a fun experience. Tessa Bailey did not disappoint. I think Sig and Chloe are my new favorite book couple. My heart ached for these two. I need a Sig in my life.

I just adore all things TB. This is no exception. The love between them? The adoration they both have for each other? The fire they ignite in each other? Chef's Kiss. The twist was so good too!
Loved this so much. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC for my review!!

4.25 Stars! ✨ Thank you, Avon and Harper Voyager & NetGalley, for blessing me with the digital ARC of Dream Girl Drama! Sig and Chloe’s story—FINALLY! I was already obsessed after their cameo in The Au Pair Affair, and let me tell you, this book delivered the drama, romance, and spice I was craving! 📖🔥

Okay, pause for dramatic effect—this book is a MASTERPIECE of forbidden love, family chaos, and swoony moonlit kisses. The yearning, the angst, the secret stolen moments—I’m still not over it. 💋😩 Tessa Bailey knows exactly how to reel you in with sizzling chemistry and then make you suffer in the best way possible.

✧ Forbidden Romance 💗
✧ Instalove but make it angsty 😍
✧ Sports Romance 🏒
✧ Broody Hockey Player Hero 💪
✧ Manic Pixie Dream Girl Vibes 🎶
✧ Slow Burn but still spicy 🔥
✧ Messy Family Drama 😬
✧ Opposites Attract 💖

Let’s talk Chloe first: harp prodigy, over-sheltered, and maybe a teensy bit spoiled, but somehow still adorable. I was ready to roll my eyes at her, but instead, I just wanted to hug her. 🥹 Watching her try to navigate independence while staying true to herself was chef’s kiss. And then there’s Sig. Ohhhh Sig. 😍 The brooding hockey god who treats Chloe like his whole world. Sure, he was borderline possessive at times, but honestly? We’re all fine with it. 🤷‍♀️

The forbidden tension was EVERYTHING. 💕 Their we-can’t-do-this-but-we’re-already-in-too-deep dynamic was perfection, and the way it shifted from insta-lust to slow-burn yearning? Ugh, my heart! 🥲 Add in the step-sibling-to-be situation and the messy family drama, and you’ve got a recipe for ALL the feels.

Now, if I had one tiny complaint, it’s this: I wanted just a little more of their domestic bliss at the end. Like, give me all the soft moments of these two finally getting their happy ending without chaos looming over them. But honestly? That’s me being greedy because the book still SLAYED.

If you’re in the mood for steamy forbidden romance with all the angst and just the right amount of sweetness, Dream Girl Drama is your next binge-read. 🌶️💖 Tessa Bailey strikes again with a swoon-worthy love story that’ll leave you wanting more. Sig and Chloe forever! 🥰

This is everything I wanted for Sig's story. The third book in one of my favorite series, I loved Sig's appearances previously and waited for his story.

Sig & Chloe

There's nothing super deep here, she's sheltered, he's a gruff NHL player with a protective streak. I could feel the electricity in their meet-cute, and the drama when realizing they are destined to be....step-siblings.

I tore through this and although I know Tessa's books aren't for everyone, this series (and book) are her best writing IMO.

3.5 stars!
This was a fun quick paced read. I really enjoyed both characters and how they cared for one another and supported each other. I did enjoy the way things were wrapped up perfectly in the end!

2.75 ⭐️

When I got this eARC I realized it was book number three in the series. I went and read book one & two before reading this one. Book one is a golf romance that I gave two stars to & book two is a hockey romance I gave 2.75 stars to.

This book is a hockey romance which I was excited about. Sig meets Chloe when his truck breaks down in front of a country club on his way to dinner with his estranged dad & his new finance. Chloe had a dinner she needed to rush to & he did as well. Little did they know it was the same dinner. They both realize that they would be step siblings.

I did really enjoy the plot twist at the end of the book.
I think I learned reading this series that Tessa Bailey is just not for me.

Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for providing an eARC.

I recently received an ARC for this book. I have read a few Tessa Bailey books in the past, so I was very excited. Overall, I enjoyed the book. It was a pretty fast-paced read, I read it in a couple of days. It was a bit over the top in some aspects, Chloe has lived a sheltered life, but she literally doesn't know how to do pretty much anything for herself. Then there's Sig, I get instant love, attraction wanting to protect, etc. But he's known her for two hours and he starts paying all her bills, rent etc but it's still good. The "fix" at the ending was good.

Big hockey player finds his dream girl only to realize they’re becoming stepsiblings. Cute romance that I read through real fast. It felt like the author was trying to make it steamy even when no action was happening between the characters but overall a cute and fast read.

This book was very slow burn for Tessa - she created some nice tension, longing, and build-up for the characters. Although the reason for the slow burn was.. kinda dumb. I just had a hard time getting behind two characters (who are pushing 30) to not be together just because they are soon-to-be step siblings and it may look bad for their image. But, tension is tension I suppose.

I read The Au Pair Affair right before this one and I def feel like reading it first was needed. The two MCs for this book were in the previous book a lot and in that book we got to see a lot of their dynamic which added to the experience for this book.

Overall I appreciate a romance book where the love interests are super interested in each other right away and for the whole book - Sig and Chloe definitely only had eyes for each other.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

Thank you to Harper Voyager and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of Dream Girl Drama by Tessa Bailey in exchange for an honest review. This review actually hurt to write.

Sig Gauthier isn’t where he wants to be in his hockey career, but he’s getting there. Soon he’ll be a free agent, and then he can negotiate a substantially bigger paycheck. Maybe buy himself a truck that doesn’t break down.

On his way to dinner with his father one night, his truck breaks down in ritzy Darien, CT. His only option is to try to call a tow from the nearby country club, but the ultra exclusive establishment won’t even let him use the phone. UNTIL, an angel comes to his rescue. Chloe Clifford, child prodigy harpist and the world’s most sheltered 25-year-old, pretends that Sig is her guest, even though they’ve never met before. They hit it off in the biggest of ways. Their chemistry is immediate and overwhelming.

So overwhelming that it comes as an enormous shock when later, Sig and Chloe discover they are about to become step siblings. Their respective parents are engaged and have made it clear that despite the obvious attraction between SIg and Chloe, nothing can ever come of it. That same evening, Chloe gets into a fight with her mother and declares her newfound urge for independence. She’s accepting a place at a conservatory in Boston and moving there immediately. Her dominating mother threatens to cut her off if she goes, but Sig, already completely infatuated with her, pledges to support her. They drive off into the sunset, determined to maintain the platonic distance required of stepsiblings.

What follows is 6 months of agonizing, tension-laden chemistry. The dam will eventually break, of course, and finally, eventually, there will be a resolution to whether they can be together but it feels like years before that resolution arrives. Along the way, there is some minor hockey stuff, including eye-roll worthy behavior from Sig’s teammates.

Bailey is known for intense, brooding MMCs and intense emotional relationships, but Sig and Chloe might finally be too much. Their mutual obsession manifests in some truly Red Flag ways. Case in point: At one point, Sig learns that Chloe is at a dog park and that another man is flirting with her. Despite the fact that they are not actually together and that she has said she thinks they should date other people, he recruits three of his team mates, goes to the dog park, and physically intimidates the guy. Yes, the guy turns out to be a jerk later, but the whole scene, intended to be some alpha male crap, comes across as cringe and depending on the reader’s sensitivity, possibly even a little scary. He also buys every single box of her favorite Pop Tart so that she can’t ever buy them for herself; they can only come from him. It’s…not cute.

They are wildly codependent too. When she moves to Boston, Chloe is an absolute idiot with money. She’s never, ever had to learn financial responsibility so she does things like blow the rent money on beauty products. He’s paying for almost everything, including the rent AND beauty supplies, until he’s forced to sell hockey memorabilia just to make ends meet. He never questions whether this is a healthy state of affairs. All he can think about is Chloe and how he HAS to pay for everything because she deserves to live the life she’s accustomed to. (Yes, she eventually gets better but be prepared for a long stretch of teeth-grindingly irresponsible behavior.) It’s supposed to read that he’s so devoted to her, he’ll do anything. It actually reads like he’s willing to self-destruct rather than encourage the sheltered princess to grow up.

It might be better if more actual things happened over the course of the book but sadly, it’s just a sad series of moments where they moon over each other. The book is 90% pining, 10% action. Recommended for readers who like intensity dialed up to 11, people who assume all people from Connecticut are rich snobs, and people who don’t mind their sports romance very light on the actual sports.

Country club meet cute turns into star crossed lovers. The pining in this book was phenomenal and the scenes were STEAMY! You could really get into the characters shoes and feel their feelings even if they weren't the most relatable characters (professional hockey player and prodigy musician). This was a real page turner. My main complaint about the book is that Chloe is billed as a manic pixie dream girl in the description. She's just rich and has never had to learn anything including how to take care of herself which is not the same. She experiences a lot of growth and is still a loveable character but this characterization just does the whole book a disservice. Overall I would recommend this book to anyone that likes steamy romance, hockey/sport romance, or is really into pining star-crossed lovers.

Sig and Chloe are the prefect match, they meet at the xountry club after Sig's truck breaks down. One problem, Sig is on his way to see his dad when thus happens, and Chloe runs off to meet her mom. They run into each other again because Sig's dad is marrying Chloe's mom.

The chemistry between Sig and Chloe is strong, will they convince their parents to not marry so they can be together or will it back fire.

Thank you netgalley for the arc.

First off a big huge GIGANTIC thank you to NetGalley and the publisher Avon for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review.

It's no secret that I LOVE Tessa Bailey, and I'm a sports romance girlie, so the Big Shots series has been a great combination for me. The third installment had been teased during the second book, an it definitely didn't disappoint! We follow Sig and Chloe in this book, who may be in the midst of a taboo and forbidden romance. The tension can be cut with a knife, and the banter amongst the characters is fun. If you enjoyed The Au Pair Affair, you'll love Dream Girl Drama as we stay with the Bearcats team and hockey. Can't wait for the next installment! 4 very enthusiastic stars!

A chance meeting after car trouble brings Sig and Chloe together and the connection is instant, magnetic, inseparable. The only problem is, they run into each other again that evening…when their parents announce their engagement, they are going to be step siblings.

This hockey and musician romance builds tension as their need to be together battles against the bad press they would receive being “siblings” and in a relationship. They struggle to find a way to be together while wanting to do the right thing for the sake of each other and their blossoming careers.

The characters in this book were sweet and kind, their relationship really took time to grow and develop even with the instant connection. It keeps the reader going to find out how this might resolve or what comes next instead of giving it all to you right away.

I’ve really enjoyed this series and the focus on building relationships and character development and am looking forward to book 4!

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Tessa really ramps up the angst in this one! Forbidden romance in the form of ~almost~ stepsiblings who technically met before they knew their parents were engaged and were already adults. Which is complicated AF. Just a touch taboo. But I really enjoyed the book - I can’t wait for what’s next in this series!
