This book started off really good and was very promising at the start. Even though it was insta-love.....
I really liked the first encounter with our main characters and the chemistry they had together. Unfortunately, this book started to grow bland and like an old soap opera, with huge overdramatic things happening when they found out they were going to be step-siblings soon. I really liked how our male main character treated and spoiled our female main character. It was really cute and fun to read. But Chloe just seemed too childlike with her childish behaviors, and the things she would do just reminded me of someone way younger than she was supposed to be.....
Very odd. I was pretty surprised by the twist at the end and definitely didn't expect it. The romance was kind of lacking past the first half of the book which was a bit disappointing. This book just wasn't for me personally.

The angst and pining were palpable, but I wish that they had a resolution before the last few chapters. After they had been through the thick of it trying to shove their feelings down, I just wanted MORE for their happy ending.

From the little hints we got in the previous book, I was so ready to read Sig and Chloe’s book. “Dream Girl Drama” is a flirty, romantic and dreamy forbidden-ish hockey romance that I loved so much.
Sig is a professional hockey player and when going to visit his father, his truck breaks down and then his phone dies. Lucky for him he breaks down in front of a posh country club but the staff won’t let him in to charge his phone. And he last expects his dream girl to come to his rescue and say that he’s an old friend of hers. Chloe Clifford is a harp prodigy with a big heart and a sense of adventure. The chemistry between them is instant but the time is limited as both have places to be. And both are shocked to see each other as the same party and they find out that they’re going to step-siblings. Sig is determined to keep his dream girl in his life so he moves her to Boston with him and their relationship moves to best friend status even though they both still have feelings for each other.
I loved Sig and Chloe so much and I really enjoyed their story. There’s more to them than just them becoming step-siblings. They had an instant connection and I could feel it the moment they met. I did laugh at their first meeting and how Chloe was. She’s fun, caring and just wants to have the best life she can. Chloe came from money and was sheltered by her mother but her zest for life is something that I loved about her. Sig has so many green flags and had me swooning more than once. I could tell from the beginning how much he cared for Chloe and even though they couldn’t be together as a couple, he took care of her as his best friend. The tension and chemistry between them was delicious and I loved the slow burn teasing of them finally giving into their feelings. There are circumstances that kept them apart but Sig was not letting that come between them. I loved his determination on figuring out a way for them to be together and I did not see the plot twist of how it was going to work coming. The ending was so romantic and the perfect way to wrap up their story.

I'm generally a no-drama kind of person, so if it weren't for the fact that I've enjoyed Tessa Bailey books in the past, the title of the book alone would have had me taking a hard pass. I'm glad I gave it a shot, though, because the author fully delivered on her reputation for fun and spicy reads!
Professional hockey player Sig lucks into meeting the girl of his dreams when his rusty old truck breaks down at a ritzy country club. Instant sparks fly — that is, until the two discover that their previously-single parents are now engaged to each other. Suddenly, it's hands-off for these future siblings-in-law, but taking control of their hands doesn't mean they have any control over their hearts. Recognizing that Chloe is The One, Sig is determined to find a way for them to be together. Can he break up the impending marriage of their parents and ensure they won't be related? Can they be together without it affecting his career or hers?
While there were some moments that I found Chloe a teensy bit grating due to her entitlement and naiivety, I think that's because you're *supposed* to find those traits irritating. It sets the stage for some satisfying character growth in the end. And, yes, Sig's utter devotion to Chloe borders on toxic, but thankfully the author has Chloe calling him out on that at times. It's refreshing to see a doe-eyed female lead not completely enamored by this domination, able instead to assert her independence in romance even when she's learning to be independent in other areas of her life.
Read if you like:

Big thanks to Avon and Harper Voyager, NetGalley, and Tessa Bailey for an advance copy of this book for honest review.

Thank you to Avon, Harper Voyager, and NetGalley for an ARC of Dream Girl Drama! I have mixed feelings about this book. First I love that they both acknowledge the insanity of their instalust/love, however both main characters are insane and sometimes insufferable. First Chloe has lived in such a bubble that she doesn't understand to pay her rent on time repeatedly, spending the money on eye creams instead. Note this money isn't even hers and she knows that. She acts like moving away from her mother is making her independent but she relies on Sig for literally everything.
Sig is an overprotective, manipulative crazy man. He bought all the strawberry pop tarts in a 10 block radius of her apartment so she would need him or so he could swoop in as the pop tart hero.

Sig (a frugal hockey player with an upcoming contract renewal) and Chloe (a sheltered harp prodigy) find love at a country club after Sig's car breaks down on his way to dinner with his gold digger dad, said dad's new conquest, and her daughter.
Little does he know that his dad's new conquest's daughter is actually Chloe. Cue Sig and Chloe dancing around their newfound relationship (step-siblings!) while also dealing with their budding feelings. How taboo.
Anyone who read the previous Big Shots book (me!) got some delicious glimpses of Sig and Chloe. I immediately wanted more. And boy did this book provide!
Sig and Chloe are a protective boyfriend lovers wet dream. They are swoon worthy.
This is by far the best book in the entire trilogy, and the previous books were the best Tessa Bailey books I've read! An impressive feat to beat all of those that came before.

Tessa Bailey knocks it out of the park EVERY SINGLE TIME. I've given all books in this series five stars so far and I don't see that stopping anytime soon. Her books have the most wonderfully possessive and protective men that will do ANYTHING for their girl and I eat it up every time. The spice? Incredible. Sig is the top tier book boyfriend and I love how he loves Chloe. These two have my entire heart. I will be rereading this entire series for the rest of my life. I cannot get enough of Tessa Bailey and her brain.
Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to be an early reader. All thoughts are my own.

This was a great third book in this Tessa Bailey series. It was nice to see Sig get his own book after the last two made many mentions of him. The book kept my engaged and was very hard to put down. My favorite part was anticipating the next up or down Chloe and Sig were going to face on their roller coaster of a romance.

One of my fave reads of the year! Sig and Chloe are everything. Their chemistry is off the charts and the pining slash “will they, won’t they” kept me hookeddd. That slow burn is worth the Tessa spice pay off. Sig is down soo bad and they were honestly just perfection to me. Is the reason they can’t be together kinda silly? Yes. Do I care? No. It’s the vibes, people.
Thank you so much to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for an advanced copy to review.

Tessa Bailey is such a hit or miss author for me. I was so excited to receive the ARC for this series as I have read the other 2 and was hoping they would get better as time went on. I am in the minority of people who do not like this series. I can definitely see why others love it but the writing and the characters for some reason are so cliche and I don't love the "famous" sports romances. The books are entertaining and very quick reads, there is just not a lot of substance and depth. I also could not get into the whole step sister plot line, even though they are not related it threw off the whole book for me.

This book was super cute! I loved it! With that being said I felt a few things might have been a little repeative but that didn't hinder me from truly enjoying this book!!!

4.5⭐️
Ahhhh I loved this!! Chloe and Sig’s story is the story of what happens when you find out that the potential love of your life you met hours before is soon going to be your step sibling.
I love Chloe and Sig so much🥹 their relationship is just so sweet. I kind of love that they had so long to actually just get to know each other and fall harder and harder. Very insta-love but due to the…extenuating circumstances, we got that great tension build up anyway. This book was so fun - so many funny moments and I loved the rest of the supporting characters too. Do we get Skylar and Corrigan next?!?
GIANT thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced digital copy!! Tessa is one of my absolute favorites and receiving this ARC is a huge highlight for me🫶🏻

Dnfed at 50%.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity for this arc, but I don’t think I am the targeted audience anymore for Tessa Bailey books.
After reading fangirl down I said I was going to stop reading her books, but I wanted to give her one more chance because I loved The Au Pair Affair.
Like all of her books it is so extremely insta love, in the first chapter he was already in love. I just needed a little bit of a build up. The characters acted way younger than they actually were and I just couldn’t stop cringing.

Dream girl Drama follows Sig and Chloe’s tumultuous predicament, the ‘Drama’ in the title being very real.
I have been a Tessa Bailey fan from the Clarkson series, and will read everything she writes regardless. Love the characters, and what they bring out in each other, and love that this is part of a series. I felt like you could sort of feel the chemistry from the beginning, and build up, which is one of the best reasons to read a Bailey book.
I didn’t love the insta-love, or what felt like enabling the FMC. He took care of everything for her from the beginning and it took far too long for her to recognize how much he did for her. I love the worshiping of her, and how she worshiped him right back, I just didn’t love the spoiled girl aspect. I felt like he treated her like a baby, and that’s not my favorite, personally.
I felt like Sig’s family thing was kind of muddled through, and could have been more clear. The family dynamics are definitely odd! I’d like to see a little more closure, a bit more about both parents, maybe some dialogue with Bobby. Sig’s mom felt very cold and flat to me.

This is my favorite book of the series so far!
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC, all opinions are my own.
Listen. If you had told me that I would be calling a book with a step sibling situation romantic and wholesome I would not have believed you but here we are. This one had me giggling and kicking my feet like a 90’s rom com.
The meet cute in this book had me hooked instantly, the chemistry and banter pulled me right in! It’s very quickly revealed that the main characters parents are engaged and so despite their insane connection they decide to be friends. And man, the pining! I spent the whole book rooting for these two, their relationship is so sweet. Yes, obviously, the spice is excellent (you knew it would be) but truly their friendship was the highlight.
And, if you’re a fan of the series, you’ll be happy to know that the orgasm donors make hilarious appearances.

I was waiting for this book ever since reading The Au Pair Affair and getting a glimpse into Sig and Chloe's relationship! Dream Girl Drama is such a fun sports romance to read. The main male character is Sig, who is a professional hockey player playing in Boston on the same team as Burgess, who is the main male character in the Au Pair Affair. The main female character in Dream Girl Drama is Chloe, who is a professional harp player. Sig and Chloe meet at a country club, and they had an instant connection. However, they find out that same night, that Chloe's mom and Sig's dad are getting married. Sig and Chloe are to become step siblings soon, which means the connection cannot evolve into a romantic relationship between them.
This was easily my favorite book so far in the Big Shots Series! I loved seeing the relationship between Sig and Chloe grow and evolve throughout the book. I also liked that both Sig and Chloe grew as a person as well throughout the book. This is a romance book first; however, my belief is that for a romance book to be great, it needs to have more than just romance. There needs to be another theme or dynamic throughout. I also loved the aspect of suspense throughout this book. I did not know what was going to happen with the ending! I would also give the pining by Sig five stars as well.
Overall, I really liked this book and would give an overall rating of four stars. I would definitely recommend reading it. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange of a free review.

This is the third book in this hockey series… but to be honest it felt more of a standalone. The two main characters were alone in pretty much every scene and they didn’t interact much with the outside world. It didn’t feel like it fit in with the other books much.
That being said, the book was enjoyable, but forgettable. 3/5 stars.

Thank you for allowing me to read this fabulous book before the publication date!
Tessa Bailey does it, again! This book was nothing short of entertaining, funny, and full of steamy longing and romance. The forbidden love between Sig and Chloe was nothing short of endearing and endlessly frustrating, yet kept you wanting more. It is easy to fall in love with this beautiful couple. This was an easy 5 star read for me.

Sig is a pro hockey player that grew up poor, working hard for everything he’s ever had. Chloe grew up wealthy and wanted to learn to live on her own after having everything given to her growing up. Sig is possessive( a bit overly possessive at times) and strives to give Chloe the lifestyle he thinks she deserves.
In a whirlwind meeting, they have instant attraction but fate has other plans. This angsty romance has slow burn and a forbidden relationship of sorts. The tension is a Tessa classic!
This was a fun read and loved getting different POVs from the buildup in the previous two books!
Thank you Netgalley, Avon and Harper Voyager, and Tessa Bailey for this eARC!

My favorite Tessa Bailey book yet! The yearning was top tier. Will be screaming about this one for a while.
