🥅 omg y’all Tessa Bailey did it again! You’re going to fall in love with Sig and Chloe the same way I did. The book was filled with amazing chemistry and tugged at my heartstrings a few times. If you enjoy different tropes like forced proximity and forbidden romance, this book has everything someone would want to read. Although it was fast-paced it also was a slow burn due to the story line, which I can’t spoil but also wish I can because the book is so good. The 🌶️ is amazing, as always, and the longing between the two characters builds up smoothly throughout the story. Plus, the book being based in Boston where I live made me so happy while reading! From hidden family secrets to yearning for someone that’s out of reach, I definitely recommend picking up this book! 🥅

⛸️ Thank you @avonbooks and @harpervoyagerus for this ARC! Tessa Bailey is one of my favorite romance authors and being able to receive this ARC is an amazing experience. ⛸️

“I'll love you enough for this whole city.”

Dream Girl Drama is book 3 in the Big Shots Series. Sig Gauthier meets the woman of his dreams one random chance encounter when his truck breaks down. Turns out, she’s his future stepsister. Can they keep their relationship strictly in the friend zone or will lines get blurred…?

“I love you. I'll love you until the sun goes dark.”

I read this in one sitting. I enjoyed each character and their dynamics with each other. Sig was patient, understanding, and kind hearted. The kind of man who would give the shirt off his back if you needed it and never complain about being cold himself. Chloe was fun and spunky.

I think the reason this isn’t a 4 for me is that it felt a little like insta love and that’s not really my cup of tea. I also didn’t really connect with either character. This book isn’t super heavy on plot but it’s a fun read. If you’re looking for a quick sports romance with some spice and like the tropes, I’d say give it a go. For me, wasn’t my fav but also, didn’t hate it.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Avon, and Harper Voyager for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. Opinions are my own. 🫶🏻

What to Expect:
✨Hockey
✨Forbidden Romance
✨Stepsiblings
✨Dual POV
✨Insta-Love

I was lucky to receive an ARC for this book and couldn’t stop myself from diving right in. I must confess I was a bit hesitant to read about Sig and Chloe after their interactions in Au Pair Affair. Obviously I still went and read it. Their relationship is so complicated, you see trouble coming for them from a mile away but that plot twist at the end and the resolution to said plot twist I did not see coming at all. I’m hoping we get more books in this series from the characters we’ve met and maybe started to love
Oh and the spice as always does not disappoint

Tessa Bailey does it again! I always love her books and this one got me good! Insta love isn’t my typical trope preference but in this one I just loved how much of simp Sig was from the moment he heard Chloe’s voice. He was the ultimate in caretaking and I just was so invested in how they were going to make their relationship ship work with their parents getting married. I was definitely invested and enjoyed every minute and even cried a good bit, like hello emotional connection to the characters! This series of books are some of my favorites of hers!

When professional hockey star Sig Gauthier’s truck breaks down outside of a country club, he could have never imagined that he would meet his dream girl, Chloe Gifford inside. The two hit it off over stolen champagne and moonlight kisses, only parting ways to meet their parents for dinner.

Little does the pair know, they are soon to be step siblings. Chloe’s mom is dating Sig’s dad, and they’re to be married in 8 months. Sig’s and Chloe’s attraction is undeniable, but scandalous. Sig is gunning for a million dollar hockey contract in his home state of Boston and Chloe, a budding harp prodigy wants the chance to play at Berkeley and earn her spot as first chair in the symphony.

Sig offers to help Chloe start a new life for herself in Boston. In doing so, the two become closer and their spark burns brighter.

Will the two find a way to make it work? Or is their love doomed from the start?

The third book in the Big Shots series, Dream Girl Drama is an interconnected stand-alone that did not disappoint. I read this book in one day and couldn’t put it down. Sig is officially one of my new bookish boyfriends.

Their loves is forbidden, but you can’t help but root for them to find a way to make it work. Sig and Chloe become best friends - Chloe attends all of Sig’s hockey games (and even has a custom pink jersey made) while Sig helps her get on her feet in the big city.

I loved watching Chloe and Sig fall in love. They are the definition of best friends, but the slow burn was too good! Tessa Bailey did such a great job of slow building their relationship, both physically and emotionally, so by the end of the book, I was holding my breath, waiting for them to give into their feelings.

Sig calling Chloe his dream girl was my favorite part of the novel. It was so endearing… and when he drove 6+ hours to grab Chloe’s lucky blouse from her childhood home… say less.

The chemistry between these two was off the charts. I couldn’t help but want them to fall in love. Sig spends the majority of the book trying to find a loophole in his father’s impending marriage, and I was right there with him during that journey.

Five stars for me! And one of my favorite books of the year. Maybe it’s the hockey players (I love a good NHL romance) but there was just something special in this book.

Read if you like:
-Accidental romance
-Small town boy/ city girl
-Mama’s boy
-Sports Romance/ Hockey
-Slow burn
-Spice🌶️
-Love at first sight
-Golden retriever energy
-Forbidden Love

Thank you to Net Galley, Tessa Bailey and Avon & Harper Voyager for the ARC!

For sure my favorite book in this series and devoured it in one day! We’ve been hearing about Sig & Chloe for the past two books and their story did not disappoint. The tension and chemistry is {chefs kiss}. It was angsty and steamy and funny.

Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Avon Publishing for this advanced reader copy. Definitely grab this one on pub day (2/4/25)

✔️ Forbidden Romance (Future Step Siblings)
✔️ Insta Love
✔️ Hockey Romance 🏒🥅

“You love her?” “I exist for her.”

Getting an ARC copy of a Tessa Bailey book feels like winning the lottery as it is, but Ive been dying to read more about Sig and Chloe since “The Au Pair Affair” so I truly can’t believe how lucky I was to read this early. Thank you so much @TessaBailey, @AvonBooks and @NetGalley for providing me with an ARC copy of this book! 🫶

Both of the main characters in this are charming and lovable! Chloe is a harpist who is impulsive, funny, and a bit of a ditz thanks to her rich girl upbringing. While Sig is a kind and thoughtful 🌶️🔥hockey player, who also is a hopeless romantic determined to get what he wants. Sig and Chloe have instant chemistry that from the very beginning you can feel from the page.

As far as the forbidden romance goes this story was amazing. Just imagine having a soulmate connection with someone and then finding out they are going to be your step sibling…😳🤮 She freaking went there. But this pair becomes the best of friends while they swoon over each other and have some hilarious moments. This story definitely gave me the “will they or won’t they” vibes and while instalove it could be considered a slow burn as far as spice goes in my opinion. Overall as always Tessa never misses and this was a very entertaining read. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next and I have a funny feeling it’s gonna be …. 🏒⚾️ (ok maybe I’m delusional but I hope so! 🤣)

“Do you need help burying a body, because we can probably borrow a shovel from my landlord. He has some snitch tendencies, but we’ll find a way to keep him quiet. Bottom line, I’m with you, okay? Whatever it is, I’m with you.”

Thank you to Tessa Bailey, Harper Collins, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC!!

I went in without super high hopes because Tessa Bailey has been either a big hit or a big miss for me. This was honestly closer to hit. I was a bit worried about the plot of future step siblings that cannot stay away from each other, but let’s be real, ive read way more controversial topics. What docked some star credit for me was that I got the ick from some of the relationship quirks. He was OVERLY possessive. Like toxic level possessive. Not a deal breaker for him because he has good intentions, but it just felt icky. I did love the resolution of the ending and love me a good epilogue to tie up any loose ends to applause for that. Definitely recommend if you like hockey romance and you were a fan of It Happened One Summer. A lot of parallels with our FMCs from each of these stories. I also enjoy a dual POV, but it would skip mid chapter, making it a little confusing having to whiplash from one character to the next. I will be reading her next installment in this series!

Tessa Bailey does it again, and she is KILLING it with this Big Shots series!

thank you so much to @avonbooks and @netgalley for giving me this arc in exchange for a review.

Now, when I read the Au Pair Affair I just KNEW from the crumbs that we got about Sig and Chloe that they were instantly going to be a new favorite of mine.

I have been savoring this book because honestly I’m ready to turn back and reread alll over again (I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE AUDIO!!)

The way that Sig and Chloe just long for each other the whole book and just have so many hurdles to get through literally had me biting my nails.

I just wanted them to be together soooooo bad and the world was just working against them.

TESSA had me sweating with this one, between the tension and the spice… YALL aren’t ready!! February cannot come fast enoughhhhh

“Always my dream girl. Always mine.”

Thank you to Harper Collins, Avon and NetGalley for giving me the absolute PRIVILEGE of reading this book early.

Chloe, an impulsive harp prodigy, and Sig, a pro hockey player, have a serendipitous meeting while Sig is on his way to visit his father and his new girlfriend. Come to find out, Sig’s father is dating Chloe’s mother. Not only dating, they’re engaged.

This Big Shot’s series is Tessa Bailey’s best work. I will read anything and everything she writes in this world. You can feel the love Sig and Chloe have for one another from the moment they’re on page together. The love and respect they have for one another is unreal.

I hope I get the opportunity to get an eARC of the next book in the series as well because I can’t wait to see what Tessa does next.

Future step siblings fall in love. He’s a hunky hockey player and she’s a rich harpist. I loved the MMC in this book but the FMC fell flat and I didn’t feel a connection to her. This is definitely worth a read if you’re a Tessa Bailey fan of if you’ve read the first two (standalone but interconnected) books in the Hot Shots series. I enjoyed this book very much! Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for giving me an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Loved this book. I’ve been reading a lot of Tessa bailey lately and I love how each book feels completely different. Even the interconnected books. I loved that this one went a little taboo. I feel like that is something new for Tessa (at least what I’ve read) and I think it will open up a whole new group of readers for her. I also think she could dabble in dark romance and make it work (similar to butcher and blackbird)

Dream Girl Drama (Big Shots 3) by Tessa Bailey
Pub Date: Feb 4, 2025
General Fiction (Adult), Romance, Sports

Love at first sight between a forbidden pair. Best player in the NHL meets a young harpist with lots of potential in her career and her confidence. Such a cute story of striving toward your goals and wanting to do so with someone you love. As with most Bailey books, it’s super steamy! Definitely worth checking out if this sounds up your alley!

This was my first time reading Tessa Bailey, and wow—what an introduction! The story kicks off when Sig’s truck breaks down on his way to dinner at his father’s house to meet his dad’s girlfriend, leading him to an unexpected encounter with Chloe. From the moment they meet, the chemistry and sexual tension between them are electric, intensifying as they navigate the shocking possibility that they might become step-siblings.

Sig dreams of climbing the ranks in hockey, while Chloe is a harp prodigy aspiring to join an orchestra. As they juggle their growing friendship and undeniable connection, the tension and steamy moments keep the pages flying. With plenty of dirty talk and heart-racing moments, this book had me swooning and blushing! It was a quick, captivating read, and I couldn’t wait to see how things unfolded for these two.

Thank you, #netgalley and #HarperCollins, for my ARC!

Thank you, Netgalley and Avon, for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Chloe and Sig meet in a whirlwind night at a country club and are immediately smitten. They plan to meet up later after their plans. Little do they know that they're both about to meet again, this time as future step siblings.
If you're into insta-love, then I think you'll definitely like this book. They met, and 1 minute later, they're ready to combine finances and go house hunting. I'm exaggerating, but not really 😂. I liked this one much better than The Au Pair Affair, but it didn't hold a candle to Fangirl Down. It was a fun read overall with a lot of drama and heartache. I think it was a little repetitive in the middle, and the big suprise at the end wasn't surprising at all, but I loved Chloe and Pierre.

I love classic Tessa Bailey books, and many of her novels are on my favorites list. I love how she can write a hero and how he will steal my heart. I overlook sanity and reason for some of her male leads because I just connect with them so easily and fall for them before the female leads even know whats happening. She is magic for me on so many levels, and I did fall hard for Sig. I did. I promise. But I did not love this book.

The beginning was so great. The build up was great, the cringe factors were set in place and they made the whole parents getting married thing elicit some real emotions. I was fighting for reason and battling reality for the first act just waiting for the fireworks and excitement to take off. Then the book just kind of fell flat for me. The time jumps kind of glazed the story over for me and I lost the connection to the characters. Sig's 'princess treatment' for Chloe became overbearing to the story line and I just wanted the pace to step up a bit. With the timing getting a little funky but the slow burn making me crazy, it lost the flow I love of Bailey's books and just became something I was reading.

While I adore a possessive MMC and a **** it moment, I wish Chloe was a bit stronger in wanting control of her own life verses letting Sig take it over for her. I loved the chemistry between them and just wanted more of it and less of the over-the-top crazy. I do feel like the title of the book fits the tone, I. mean, he calls her dream girl consistently throughout the book. And there is definitely no shortage of drama.

TY to Avon and NetGalley for the early copy!

I love nothing more than a messy romance. And this one had plenty of mess to go around! Boy obsessed, soon-to-be step siblings, forbidden, hockey player x prodigy musician? This is the best kind of chaos, truly.

Chloe and Sig are the kind of characters that immediately click as soon as they meet. Their chemistry jumped off the page, with so much delicious angst and tension. Tessa Bailey has truly redeemed herself and the Big Shot series with their story after I really disliked book 2, and she has me excited for the future of the series as well. Her humor and wit always slips seamlessly into her romances, with a consistent voice that readers truly love. She got Chloe and Sig's story so right, and I loved every moment so much!

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC! I couldn't believe it when I got approved for a Tessa Bailey book.

Tessa Bailey never disappoints. I can't pass up a hockey novel. I didn't realize there were previous novels in this series, so I will have to backtrack and read those. This was a quick and fun read!
