Lovely book. Loved the characters, and though slightly predictable it was an enjoyable read. Hopefully there’ll be another instalment so we can learn more about Dan!
Would definitely recommend this book
Another great instalment in this series, I love this authors style and the characters are fun. Can’t wait for the next one!
This is another fabulous book in the Cornish Cove series, I love this series; this latest book has some new faces and some old ones.
Nancy had wanted to open a bookshop, and after receiving an inheritance from her Aunt she has her dream come to fruition. One problem though, is that she is not exactly business-minded and there is more money going out than coming in. Dennis is stopping with his Grandmother, Vi. If you have read the previous books you will certainly remember this "says exactly what she thinks" character.
Dennis meets Nancy and while there is a sort of attraction they are two very different people, Dennis is a business analyst and thinks about money and making the most he can. Nancy is a dreamer, believing in fate and what will be, will be. A clash of personality and opinion doesn't make the best first impression, but Dennis has a very good reason for wanting to help Nancy turn her bookshop around.
This is another fun read and it had me chuckling on a few occasions. But there is something more serious for our characters to overcome and that is very much to do with their pasts and also how they perceive things to be. It doesn't help that Nancy's brother has also been kicked out of his house again and it seems to prove that relationships are not something that everyone can have or make work.
There is a lot of tension simmering through the story and this has been done very well with the other subplots the whole thing comes together wonderfully. Opinions and observations are shared, and some soul-searching is required for several of the characters and the residents of Driftwood Bay are eager to help out where they can. I do like how the author has brought in new ideas for the bookshop and it fits in so well with Nancy and the way she sees life.
I really enjoyed this book and it was wonderful to be back at Driftwood Bay with the characters and the community. A fabulous story and one for fans of contemporary fiction and romance. I would definitely recommend this one.
I don't wanna be dramatic, but this book was effing brilliant. Could not recommend it more! Have never read a book so fast!
So cute and sweet . Had to stay up very late to finish it - I inhaled it
Kim Nash is a fan author.
I loved all the characters, the bookshop setting.
An absolute joy of a book from start to finish.
An easy five stars from me.
The Bookshop at the Cornish Cove is a endearing tale of a young woman who opens a bookshop in her beloved hometown, Driftwood Bay. Nancy lives at home with her parents, after inheriting some money from her Aunty, she leaves her teaching position and following a lifelong dream, opens a bookshop.
The shop sounds beautiful, Nancy lights scented candles and creates extravagant seasonal displays. However, she is leaking money from the business, spending more than she can afford , with no effective business plan or publicity campaign. Que the gorgeous Grandson of the incorrigible Vi, Dennis. Vi is a favourite reoccurring character in the Driftwood bay book series, Dennis just passes through and is barely mentioned the picture created is of an older, sensible man, which this is the same impression Nancy has until she meets him. Dennis is indeed a business man but he is young and extremely attractive. Unfortunately he is also arrogant and when trying to help Nancy with ideas to develop her business, continually offends her, stepping on her toes and being rude about her lack of vision.
Nancy and Dennis discover that despite negative first impressions that they are in fact good for one another other. I loved the creative suggestions they come up with together for the bookshop. It made me long to find a place just like that to visit. Nancy shows Dennis what it is like to be part of a community to enjoy the simple things in life and care for your environment as well as all around you. There are plenty of amusing and heartwarming scenes as the two of them battle with their respective opinions and lifestyles to create a flourishing business.
All is not what it seems with Dennis. His life in London is a mystery and not everything is straightforward. Lies, tears and plenty of hugs from Nancy’s kindhearted, downtrodden brother, who is also on an emotional journey of his own, make for a heartening read.
I look forward to visiting Driftwood bay again in the future and hope that I also find the bookshop of Nancy’s dreams myself one day (as a frequent customer not owner!)
"The Bookshop at the Cornish Cove" by Kim Nash is a heartwarming tale that revolves around Nancy, a passionate book lover who fulfils her lifelong dream of opening a quaint bookshop in the charming setting of Driftwood Bay. Nancy's approach to running her bookstore without a concrete business plan reflects her faith in the universe's guiding hand. The narrative beautifully captures the undeniable spark between Nancy and Dennis, portraying their dynamic interactions and the magnetic pull of their contrasting personalities. This delightful and humorous romance novel offers readers a captivating and cozy escape into a world where the magic of love unfolds amidst the pages of a bookshop by the cove.
I've enjoyed my forays to the Cornish Cove of Driftwood Bay thanks to Kim Nash, and couldn't wait for the next visit.
This time we get to know Nancy. She's lived there all her life and gone from teaching to her dream of opening up a bookshop in the little village, thanks to an inheritance. It's wonderful, being surrounded by books and all she loves, however, there are other things she needs to consider as a businesswoman, like plans, and finance, and she'd rather not.
Then she meets, or rather collides with Dennis, a visitor to the area, and grandson of the legendary potty-mouthed Vi, and her world is turned a bit on its side.
This is a cute, easy read of a romance, with its fair share of trials, as Nancy struggles to trust, as does Dennis. And all the while, everyone else knows what is staring them both in the face.
I loved visiting the Bay again, meeting new characters, and catching up with others we'd met, previously, too.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC.
The Bookshop at the Corning Cove
What could be better than opening a bookshop in a Cornish seaside town. This is what dreams are made of and that is exactly what Nancys dream was.
Driftwood bay is the location for this little bookshop. Driftwood bay gives off vibes of happy family holidays in Cornwall. When reading these books I can't help but reminisce about times I've spent in Cornwall with my parents as I was growing up. Of beautiful family seaside holidays. Imagine living there and owning a bookshop. That really is what dreams are made of.
Nancy has such a dream. Opening her own bookshop in the village of Drifwood. bay. How well the shop does may just depend on a total stranger. Maybe Nancy hasn't realised what is involved in running her own business but with help she certainly learns how to do it and do it well.
Heartwarming, cozy, fun. Its like a big hug in a book. Easily a one read book because you lose track of anything else around you.
I'm not sure if these authors actually realise when writing their books how much of an impact they can have on people. In a very dark place personally, this book was exactly what I needed. I needed to feel good, I needed to smile, This book helped me do that. And with all of this authors books I always find there is an underlying message. like -life is too short. If you want something - go for it. They are thought provoking. They are just what you need when you feel rubbish or just what I needed.
Bravo another superb read. Although part of a series you could read any of these books as a stand alone. I would advise though that you read all of them.
I would not hesitate to recommend this book.
This was a simple, fun, easy and quick read. The perfect type of book for your holiday, beach, pool kind of read. This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and I would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

Reading a Kim Nash book is like sitting by a roaring fire with a mug of hot chocolate, chatting to a friend. They're all such heartwarming, cosy reads. I love the fictional setting of Driftwood Bay and the wonderful cast of characters. Nancy's bookshop sounds amazing and I love her 'can do' attitude. Recommended.
Can I go live in Driftwood Bay? I would love to be living Nancy’s dream, or most of it. I love the characters and this story is wonderful. I wish Nancy and Dennis the best. I hope we have a new book from this Author very soon. Read this book and the previous books if you haven’t already. Thanks to NetGalley, Boldwood Books and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.
Sweet story that is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. It was a quick, easy, read. I enjoyed the story very much.
Cozy book that, athough part of a series, could easily be read as a standalone. I thoroughl enjoyed this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in excahnge for an honest review.
We are back in this delightful little Cornish village for the next installment of Driftwood Bay. In this story we meet Nancy, the book lover who opens her own bookshop but has no idea how to run a business and Dennis the big wig London financial guy.
I enjoyed the story a lot. I mean who doesn't dream of being Nancy?! The chemistry between her and Dennis is electric and them butting heads also added to that chemistry a bit as well. I truly loved the letters part of the story and really getting to know Dennis. I really fell in love with him after those letters!
This was a light hearted, sweet, funny, cosy romance where opposites definitely do attract.
If you want a quick read then get this one as it's perfect for cosying up with and escaping the real world for a little bit.
Yay for men who dare to be vulnerable! Anyone really, in this day and age. And yay for those who are beach angels and try to minimize their ecological footprint and care about the planet.
But of course, we all need a special someone (or two) to have in our corner, to keep cheering us on - such as Vi. I only loved her more for all her swearing.
So yeah, another treasure to add to my collection of Being Good Enough - a special shelf I've got here on Goodreads.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of the book.
It's so good to be back in Driftwood bay and what a start. Eye candy from the beginning.
The dedication in this book is so lovely. Having been to Press books and coffee quite a few times now I have met Nancy and she really is an inspiring person. Following a dream is such a nerve-wracking step and I'm so glad she did.
I love Kim's book, they're so beautifully written and I love the story line. This is a romantic story with a will they, won't they theme and I'm here for it.
I loved Nancy's character, she was inspired and honest and feisty and I love the fact that despite obstacles she still made her dream come true.
This is the fourth instalment in this series although could be read as a standalone. It was a pleasure to be back in driftwood bay and who doesn’t love a book about a bookshop which made this instalment even more enjoyable. As always loved the r descriptions of the setting which make you want to go and live there.
Was lovely to see the return of favourite characters particularly Vi and also the addition of some newcomers to the bay. This story focuses on the character of Nancy and her starting her new venture as owner of the bookshop.
This was an uplifting read that was perfect to delve into to escape the outside world. I look forward to the next chapter of this story
*The Bookshop at the Cornish Cove* by Kim Nash is a charming, feel-good read that is perfect for cozying up with this fall. The story follows Nancy, a book lover who opens her dream bookshop by the picturesque Driftwood Bay, despite being out of her depth when it comes to running a business. With the help of Dennis, a seemingly insufferable but successful businessman, Nancy finds herself navigating not only the challenges of entrepreneurship but also a budding romance.
The book is heartwarming and full of cozy, autumnal vibes, making it an ideal escape for readers looking for a light, romantic read. The characters are relatable, and the setting of Driftwood Bay is beautifully described, capturing the essence of small-town coastal life. Nancy's journey from uncertainty to confidence is engaging, and the chemistry between her and Dennis adds a sweet dynamic to the plot. If at the same time you are a stationery and book lover then this book is for you, I want to stroll through her shop for real.
However, the ending does feel a bit abrupt. While the romance builds nicely throughout the story, the resolution comes rather quickly, leaving readers wishing for an epilogue to tie things up more neatly. Despite this, *The Bookshop at the Cornish Cove* is a delightful, heartwarming read that delivers all the comfort and charm of a cozy, seaside romance.
Despite not being a regular romance reader, I love this series. Kim Nash knows the romantic comedy genre like the back of her hand and I love how her writing makes me feel part of the community she has built up so brilliantly. Her descriptions are so clear and I could picture everything while I was reading as though I was there, walking along the beach, swimming in the sea and chilling out in the bookshop.
In The Bookshop At The Cornish Cove, we catch up with several characters that we met in the previous books in this series. It's great to be able to find out what happened to them after the novels finished. Kim Nash creates characters of all ages and backgrounds that are extremely relatable and likeable and I was rooting for them all, well, most of them, throughout the novel. The protagonist of this story is Nancy, and I loved seeing her grow as the story progressed and she became more confident. She's a first person narrator and I love how Kim Nash uses this technique to make her story feel more personal.
The Bookshop At The Cornish Cove will appeal to anyone who has even a passing interest in reading. As a book lover, I was in heaven as she took the reader through the vintage editions, brand new hardbacks and accessories that she sells in her shop. I can't let this review go without mentioning my delight that Kim Nash references the quotation that inspired my blog!
As the novel reaches its conclusion, there are a number of interesting twists and turns and I was intrigued to see how everything would come together!
I hope we will be back in Driftwood Bay very soon
