A super fun activity book with a variety of well known puzzles. I really enjoyed looking at this book. It's excellent for folks like me who would like a variety of puzzles in one book. Obviously, get the print version!

It was fun to look at, kind of sucks being on an ebook though! I would give it to a family member who enjoys these kinds of things.

The Ultimate Fun Adult Activity Book has all kinds of puzzles, brain teasers and games to keep your mind active and stave off boredom. It's entertaining and split into interesting categories.

Stop the doom-scrolling on your phone and actually do things that will stimulate your brain like the puzzles and word games in this new activity book. Doing puzzles actually helps keep your brain young.

As a child, way before cell phones, you would find me with a word puzzle book during my downtime, especially during long Sunday drives with my parents. I loved word-fill-ins, word searches, and cryptogram-style of puzzles. These days you’ll find me working on the same kinds of puzzles along with crosswords and sudoku puzzles.

The puzzles in the book are divided into themes or categories with fifteen or so puzzles in each category. From logic puzzles to crosswords to cryptograms and more, there are puzzles to fit every style of puzzler. Of course, there are answers at the end of the book in case you get stuck. This activity book would make a great gift for a parent or grandparent or as a family activity during mealtime. Families can pass the book around the table and each person can fill in the part of the puzzle they know or discuss the possible answers as a family.

Since I received an eBook for this review, I wasn’t able to complete all the puzzles because I had to rewrite them and then complete the puzzle. But, the few I did were fun and not too difficult.

Actually 4 1/2 stars. I am someone who loves puzzles – word, number, logic—you name it. And I loved this book. It’s the title I have an issue with. First, my teenage grandkids could handle this book, so the “adult” is totally unnecessary. And “Adult Fun” gives off certain connotations that have nothing to do with what is in the book.

Okay, that being said, I really did like this book. I will, however, suggest very strongly that if you want to do the puzzles, you buy the book as a physical copy and not an e-book as it was sent to me for possible review. And yes, I am going to do just that—go buy a physical copy.

There are all sorts of puzzles in here: find differences, crosswords, sudoku, scrambles, word search, logic, mazes, coloring pages, and more. There are several sections, each one of which is a different theme, such as “Whodunnit” or “famous artists” or “explorers” and more. They run the gamut from very easy to challenging and yes, there is an answer key at the back.

Recommended.

The Ultimate Fun Adult Activity Book has a collection of different types of puzzles. Each chapter in the book has its own theme that the puzzles are designed to fit. There are a few pages at the beginning with instructions and tips on how to do some of the puzzles. At the end, there is an answer key.

I liked that there were lots of different types of puzzles. It’s nice to be able to try out all of the different types and not just be stuck doing the same type of puzzle every time. I thought some of the puzzles were too easy, but some of them were a good challenge. I had a problem with how some of the puzzles were set up or laid out.

Let’s talk about each puzzle type:
Mazes-I don’t usually enjoy mazes, but I really enjoyed the mazes in this book. In fact, I’m now considering getting myself a book with only mazes in it.

Wordsearches-The first Wordsearch was too easy and didn’t have enough variety of which directions the words were put into the puzzle. The rest of the Wordsearches were better.

Coloring Pages-The Coloring Pages were good.

Logic Puzzles- Some of the Logic Puzzles were too easy. I felt like I was given too much information, so I didn’t have to wrestle with it at all to figure out the answers. Some of them were a little more difficult, but, in general, I would have liked more of a challenge.

Magic Squares- The Magic Squares were pretty good. There was a range of difficulty. I enjoyed these.

Find the Difference in the Picture- The Find the Difference pictures were pretty good. I got stuck on a couple of them and had to check the answer key to find the last item. I like getting stuck sometimes.

Cryptograms- (decoding an encrypted quote) I enjoyed the Cryptograms and thought they were done well.

Sudoku- All of the Sudoku puzzles were way too easy. I was able to figure out every one of the puzzles after going through each of the numbers once. It felt like everything was just given to me.

Crossword Puzzles- The Crossword Puzzles were not numbered in the traditional way, so it was very difficult to find the number that you’re looking for. The numbering was all over the place. It was very off-putting. Some of the clues were too hard and some were too easy, but that probably just has to do with my knowledge of the subject matter.

Acrostic Puzzles- I thought the Acrostics were pretty good. Some were trickier than other and gave me a challenge, which I like.

Symbol Equations- The Symbol Equations drove me crazy. Some were way too easy. Some had many possible answers. I thought each symbol needed to be a different number, but the answer given in the answer key had a duplicate number for an answer (like symbol 1 is 3, symbol 2 is 3, instead of a different number for each symbol). This was frustrating because there were usually multiple answers that could work for the problem, but the answer they chose for the answer key had duplicate numbers?
I don’t know if that all made sense without seeing the puzzle, but basically what I’m saying is that the Symbols Equations need some work.

Equation Grids- All of the Equation Grids were way too easy.

Word Pyramids- The Word Puzzles were good. I was challenged with them and got stuck on a couple.

Answer Key-I wish that the answer key had page numbers for each puzzle, it would make it so much easier to find the puzzle you are looking for and not accidentally see the answers to another puzzle.

While this puzzle book did have some problems, I enjoyed the time I spent working through the puzzles. I especially enjoyed the Mazes, the Cryptograms, the Magic Squares, and the Word Pyramids. If you’re interested in Sudoku or Crossword Puzzles, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

This was very fun and relaxing activity to do, I imagine the physical copy would be a fantastic gift for someone who wants to get off their phone more and focus on relaxing activities. For me it made a rainy afternoon feel more relaxed and enjoyable.

This is such a fun activity book! If you’re looking for a challenge to keep your mind fresh, this is a fantastic option. It features a variety of puzzles, from acrostics and sudoku to crosswords and codes. Each chapter is grouped by topic, like History or Arts and Literature. I felt I even learned a few new trivia facts by working through the puzzles. The book has a great, clean layout that is easy to read. Highly recommended!

A great book for anyone looking for a variety of puzzles. The introduction lays out the various types of puzzles and how to solve them. Then follows several themed chapters with a mixture of puzzles in each section. I would say these puzzles are of medium difficulty.

A variety of puzzles, perfect for traveling and puzzle hobbyists. I enjoyed that the pages switch it up to keep it fresh. The instructions are clear. I also think it's a great activity book for those who are actively trying to limit screen time. (A replacement for cell phone puzzle games that have ads, for example.) The themed chapters add a nice element of atmosphere.

I think this book serves as a wonderful way to stretch the mind and challenge ones critical thinking! I really enjoyed the wide variety of puzzles and challenges. The themed chapters make for a great way to organize the puzzles. I plan to purchase this book as a gift for several people I know who will appreciate the fun activities as much as I did!

This book is great for puzzlers. If you play WORDLE, Connections, or crosswords daily, this book is for you. An offline way to get in more puzzling. And it’s FUN!

There are instructions on how to play each type of puzzle such as logic grids or word pyramids, but the book is organized by themes not by puzzle type making it all the more fun! Themes include History, Arts & Literature, Movies, Nature and Food.

I enjoy doing the puzzles myself but would make a great gift idea for any teen or adult who likes to do puzzles and is trying to spend less time online.

I think books like the ultimate fun adult activity book by Julie demyanovich should be more commonplace, adults should be allowed to experience the simple joy of doing a crossword or finishing a coloring page in a more mature manner, which is what this wonderful book gives us. Bravo!

This activity book has a little bit of everything. It has a wide range of puzzles and mazes to solve. And if you need a bit of a brain break, it has coloring pages to get your creativity flowing.

A look at this book’s cover tells readers exactly what they will find inside. Anyone who enjoys puzzle solving will, I think, enjoy this title. It offers a chance to leave the day behind and concentrate on completing some fun tasks.

Some pluses for solvers include that this book is over 150 pages long and that the puzzles are grouped by category. For example, there are sections entitled Get Historical, Arts & Literature, Whodunnit and more. In addition, there are clear directions at the front of the book for each puzzle type.

I think that I will buy the hard copy of this one.

This is such a great activity book. I loved the variety of activities it had in it, there is something for everyone in it. I like the chapter themes and the variation. I would buy this for myself and my friends. It is easy to pick up the puzzles and they range in challenge level. I like that I can go from a word search to sudoku to a cryptogram. Highly recommend you pick it up!

Love the puzzles and the variety. There are a few most common ones like crosswords and suduko but also different fun types like word pyramids , logical puzzles and word equations. Great timepass.

A great book for those who enjoy mind teasers. Keeps you engaged and not bored with different challenges throughout the book.
