Thank you for the ARC!

I always look the brothers best friend trope. Just something about the sneaking around and waiting to see if the characters get caught builds the angst for me. Can’t wait for the other books to come out!

This book is very cute! I loved Nash and his ambitiousness! He literally does everything to help his community. Being an ex-hockey player he has the means to start businesses in the town and help others. Paisley has just come back to town after her ex-boyfriend cheated on her. She was always the little sister of Nash’s best friends but he can not resist her. She starts working at his hockey training facility and the two of them have a hard time keeping their hands away from each other. The spicy scenes are really great in this one! I enjoyed the backstory of each main character and meeting all the secondary characters in the story. This book kept me engaged and interesting from start to finish and that does not always happen! I definitely enjoyed this story enough to continue on with the series. Huge thanks to Randomhouse publishing and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book!

the annoyed look she's wearing fuels me to try to get her to stay even more.

I loved that it has an accounting/business type FMC. The banter through the texts had me giggling. It was a great set up for how the rest of the series will go. The MMC was ex-nhl player turned cowboy , so that was something new. The spice was spicing (3/5).

It registers with me that I not only want Nash Carter, I'd sell my soul for him right now.

Nash Carter is absolutely a walking red flag, but the mouth on that man is perfection. Combining hockey & cowboy romance was something I didn’t know I needed.

I will say, some of the spicy scenes were a little cringe, especially with CeCe calling his dick a “battering ram” and a “freight train.” We get it, he’s big, like every other MMC out there. Can we get better terminology? Also the “tight channel” and “warm rapture” were equally gross.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me a copy of this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Cowboy meets hockey meets brothers best friend romance with dirty talking golden retriever Nash, and a girl who won’t take less than she deserves in Cece.

I really enjoyed this storyline! The found family trope in this book was amazing. Nash was down bad for Cece and it was interesting to see how things played out. I thought this was really well written and kept me engaged/entertained throughout the entirety of the book. The characters were funny and sweet and overall the book was everything one can hope for in a small town romance. I can’t wait to continue reading the rest of the series!

i received an ARC of this book from netgalley in exchange for my honest review!

classic older brother’s best friend cowboy romance - with a bit of sports thrown in. i did really enjoy it. nash was so good - he had some major trauma and i liked that he was struggling with his feelings for a very real and valid reason. i like that cece’s family got over them being together pretty quickly. i liked that cece knew what she wanted.

i feel like some of the side characters were a little hard to keep track of (asher, rocco, harry), but maybe that was just me. i also feel like the book was just a littleee longer than it needed to be, but i didn’t get bored or anything.

Spicy sweetness in a small town. I found myself enjoying this story and the connection chemistry with Cece and Nash was swoony.

3.5⭐️

CeCe Ashby and Nash Carter are both back home in Laurel Creek, Kentucky for different reasons. They've known each other forever because he is best friends with her older brother and it creates an interesting dynamic now that they are adults.

I enjoyed their back story and their individual character arcs, especially CeCe's. She moves home to start over after ending her engagement and she gets a job working for Nash. The way she reconnects with her family and friends feels like a homecoming. Nash has been in town longer than CeCe and is everywhere doing a million things. It feels like the author took every book boyfriend trope, in and out of the bedroom, and applied it to Nash. I understand the attraction, and he is very swoony, but his character is unfocused and it crowds the page.

I think CeCe and Nash work really well as a couple and that their HEA was believable, even without the epilogue. I am invested in this town and am excited to read more about the family and friends introduced in this first installment of the Silver Pines Ranch Series.

💜ARC REVIEW💜
Tropes:
Cowboy Romance
Ex-Hockey player MMC
Found Family
Grief(Loss of parents)
Age Gap
Brothers Best Friend

Favorite Character:
Cecelia Ashby

Overall Review:
CeCe deserved so much more than that pathetic excuse of a man Andrew and thank GOODNESS it’s Nash Carter. I loved that when CeCe set her boundaries with her Ex, she didn’t let him walk all over her and make her cave. Seeing how she started to get so much happier being around her friends and family shows just how negatively her former relationship was effecting her. Nash being able to lean on CeCe’s family for support after what happened with his own parents warms my heart. Cecelia truly has some amazing parents for taking Nash into their home. I loved that Nash always had CeCe’s back even when she was going through though the official separation with Andrew. Also the slight stalking part for her safety? ADORABLE. Also that whiskey scene……wow 🤭. I did not expect that at all and I loved it ✨

Thank you to Paisley Hope and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC 💜

✨ARC REVIEW - 4⭐️✨
read if you loveeee…
✨hockey player turned part-cowboy with tats😜
✨sassy fmc out of a bad breakup
✨brother’s best friend
✨forced proximity // workplace romance
✨hand necklace // grab the headboard

this book has all of my favorite things in an mmc. he’s a former hockey player (for the Dallas Stars🤩) turned cowboy/bartender, he’s got lots of tattoos, he makes her coffee & knows how she likes it, he calls her a good girl, he’s protective af - SAY LESS, I AM SAT. Mr. Carter, I love you.

these two have major heart eyes for each other. I loved the tension, the “I know we shouldn’t but I want to”, which finally lead to the “f*ck it” moment, which made me absolutely feral!!! the bourbon scene will forever live rent free in my mind, btw. Paisley knows how to write spice & write spice WELL, my friends.

grief is also touched on in a really impactful way. having a parent with cancer is a club that no one wants to be a part of (luckily my dad is still fighting), but it made me feel less alone to read about someone going through the same thing I am. these two healed each other and it was absolutely beautiful to watch.

thank you NetGalley and @authorpaisleyhope for an arc in exchange for an honest review! I’m ready for book #2 asap😜

A hockey player AND a cowboy??? Say less
I absolutely loved this book! I loved the tension between Cece and Nash. And when the tension broke 🤭 Nash Carter has to have one of the dirtiest mouths and I love him so much for it.
I love the small town, found family, brothers best friend tropes in this book.
I absolutely devoured this book and cannot wait for more of the series!

So cute and adorable, and warmed my heart! I am normally not a brother's best friend kind of girl and this just hit a little different for me! I loved smalltown meeting cowboy meeting hockey! love the trifecta! (ahaha see what I did there)

As they say, “save a horse, ride a cowboy,” and I’d ride Nash any day! His mouth had me blushing and giggling like crazy.
Cece’s sass was another highlight—I absolutely loved her energy.
And Ginger? She was fantastic. I’m really hoping she gets her own book because her banter with Cole was top-tier and left me wanting more.
Plus, the cover was so pretty that I couldn’t resist buying it.

3.75 stars.

The moment I saw the cover of this book, I was captivated—it was clear I was in for a fantastic read.
With each new installment, the covers in this series keep outdoing themselves, becoming more stunning every time.

As for the story, it delivered all my favorite tropes and then some. For a debut novel, it was absolutely impressive. The character dynamics, dialogue, and setting were all beautifully crafted, pulling me into the world completely.

I can’t wait to continue with the rest of this series!

I knew this was a cowboy romance but didn't realize it was also hockey! It give me all the Powerless vibes by Elsie Silver but was still completely different. Nash & Cece are perfect for each other & I couldn't get enough! My only down side to this story (reason I didn't give 5 stars ) it was a hard start

Nash Carter the man that you are. I ate this book up!! It was the perfect level of spcie mixed with plot line. The character development between Cece gaining her independence and Nash finally letting people into his heart was so beautifully written. I have raved about this book to just about anyone who will listen.

What can I even say about this book?

It was the perfect cowboy/hockey romance I needed at the right time! I absolutely loved Nash and CeCe with every fiber of my being and I pray there will be more books in the series because I need Cole and Wade to find their happy ever afters too.

This book is so spicy y'all.

This is an easy book to recommend for fans of Elsie Silver’s Chestnut Springs series. It has an extra dose of smalltown gossipy charm which I love, and made me laugh out loud by the second page. Wade’s character reminds me of Jasper from Powerless with his difficult past and his ‘found family’ relationship with Cece’s family. Cece is a bit of a spitfire and will never turn down a good time with her girls. It’s the first in the Silver Pines Ranch Series so there’s more where this came from!
