I never thought I'd be reading a book about TikTok but this was an interesting manifesto! This was an easy follow but sometimes the language went a bit over my head. It's so true in it's stance of TikTok being a great way to share news and connecting people. The uniqueness of the app brings people together to learn new things and to understand the things the mainstream media doesn't show. Although, this can bring a new edge to conspiracies and fear mongering without fact checking being able to spread like wildfire.
Having read this after the overnight TikTok ban was enacted and the app was reinstalled, this was an interesting read, it did feel a little dated already but I understand and agree with the purpose of the book.
Thanks to Grand Central Publishing and Net Galley for the ARC.

This is an easy to read piece about how TikTok can be used by people for more than just dancing or doing makeup, like organizing political groups.
I must admit, I only thought of the TikTok ban more as a security issue than a fear from our government about its people.
I think this is a good read especially with the possible TikTok ban looming.
