THE RATING: Solid 4!
Self published authors have it rough when it comes to gaining traction and getting their books noticed. Advertising can be a confusing mess and often times it might feel like you are just closing your eyes and blindly throwing a dart hoping you hit the board. Dale L. Robert’s Advertising for Books certainly helps some, delivering a road map on how you can increase your chances of getting your books into the hands of more reads without going broke. He doesn’t promise instant success like some of the books I seen,(and I really appreciate that honesty) but rather a measured actions you can take to increase your chances. How well with these actions work? Time will tell, and I’ve no doubt that success will vary from writer to writer. Thanks so much to One Jacked Monkey LLC for the ARC.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this eARC.

As someone new looking into self publishing and trying to learn all that they can, this was a helpful book. It has some great advice so that you don't just throw money at advertising without doing your homework first. I think this book encourages you to go in cautiously, but also to do a lot of research. You can't read this book and expect to be an expert, but it does help make you more aware of pitfalls you can run into and how to cautiously navigate your learning experience as you go. After doing more research, I plan to come back to this book and hope that I can get even more out of it.
