This was a very good romance with some mystery and suspense thrown in. I recommend reading the series in order.
Many thanks to Forever Grand Central Publishing and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Written in engaging language, it's an close look at a small island community. I found Hold charismatic and generally attractive and Jessi is a good single mom, determined to do what's best for her son. The protagonists are very good - fiercely loyal, protecti, band together, while the baddies are bad. Quick easy read with a continued mystery from book 1.

Well maybe it's because I didn't read book one of this series first but sadly even though the synopsis sounded intriguing the story fell flat and I found myself skimming and skipping pages just to get thru with it.

Strong women and protective men. I wonderful romance with kids. I feel the mystery was weak but with the romance strong it did not matter to me. Recommend to all who enjoy romance.

Sullivan's second installment of the Windfall Island series was a little flat for me. The idea of "... and all its nosy residents ..." tested my limits here, because two adults ought to be able to do what they want all by themselves. I do appreciate Jessi's love of her son, Benji. So often teenage mothers are written with animosity toward the children they have, so this relationship was refreshing. It's also refreshing to see how much Holden loves Benji. The mystery was not so mysterious, but overall this was a good read.
