How Well Do You Know Your Husband by M.Q Webb is a twisty, non-stop thriller that will stick with you long after you close the book.
Webb has created a gripping, page-turner of a tale that keeps the reader on their toes as layers of malice, revenge, and desperation are revealed as the plot unfolds. The book is a poignant reminder of how one's past can come back to bite you at the most inopportune moments, and Webb makes you wonder if you really truly know anyone in your life.
And just when you think you have everything explained, Webb has more surprises in store.
Perfect for the spooky season, this thriller could also be made into a movie or limited series as suspenseful as the book itself.

Very good book with lots of twists and turns! Definitely a 5 star read. The characters are amazing and honestly had a better ending than I could have envisioned

This story felt really generic, like something I’ve read countless times before. There was nothing unique or memorable about the characters—they just didn’t stand out. What really threw me off was the odd tone the author used. Whenever the characters spoke in first person, their inner voices sounded mature, almost too grown-up. But as soon as they started speaking out loud in dialogue, their voices became strangely juvenile.

The contrast made the reading experience feel awkward and disconnected. It was hard to get into the flow of the story because the shifts in tone were so jarring. Overall, it was a weird read, and unfortunately, it didn’t offer anything new or exciting.

I would like to express my deep gratitude to Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Members' Titles and NetGalley for their generosity in allowing me to read this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Gripping thriller follows Aria,a young woman who starts to question her seemingly perfect marriage. It starts with a suspicion of infidelity. As the evidence and the bodies pile up, she worries about her own safety. With dark twists and a climactic conclusion, this book will have you turning pages into the night.

I was shocked to see so many 4 star reviews and less because this was a solid 5 star read for me. Thriller/mystery and crime are my favourite genres and I absolutely loved this book.

I was stuck to my kindle the entire day and I read it in one. I was so engaged and just constantly had to find out what happened next. There were so many twists that I just didn’t see coming and I was really happy with the ending which is never usually the case for me with thrillers.

I’d definitely recommend anyone who loves a good unpredictable thriller to pick this up!

Aria and Ethan have been married for three years, and are trying to have a baby. Unfortunately, Ethan is always out of town for business, so that makes conceiving much more difficult. Even more difficult than that? Aria is convinced that Ethan is having an affair. Recently, he sometimes ignored her messages, and he keeps extending his business trips, even when Aria really needs him. She feels like someone has been following her and after receiving some disturbing emails, the first of which asking her how well she knows her husband.

While her husband is away on yet another trip, Aria gets together with her friends Cassandra, Zoe and Isla. They are out at a bar celebrating Cassandra’s promotion when suddenly, they realize they haven’t seen Isla in a while. Aria goes to the bathroom to see if she’s in there, and she is - and she’s dead. Aria immediately wonders if her potential stalker accidentally killed Isla, mistaking the two women with similar builds and hair. She’s got a lot to find out, and she does…in time.

For most of the book, I knew I’d give it 3.5 stars, but I wasn’t sure whether to round up or down. This book was filled with so many common domestic thriller tropes and clichés, like infidelity, jealousy, infertility, rivalry, mendacity, violence and secrets from the past. I wonder if the author is English, as some words weren’t really ones that Americans use (I see this a lot!). The plot was relatively generic, but the ending has me rounding up my rating - it was the best part of the book and completed the story nicely. This isn’t the most thrilling thriller ever, but it was fine for a quick read.

(Thank you to TBR Publishing, M.Q. Webb and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my review. This book is slated to be released on November 18, 2024.)

How Well Do You Know Your Husband? What an interesting title for a book. I read the book fairly quickly - and for the most part it was good and kept my interest. But for some parts the plot got a bit convoluted and confusing. I felt like the book was trying to do too much and towards the end just started throwing random storylines in.

All in all It was worth the read.

This book was exceptionally well-written and enjoyable. I began reading without any prior knowledge or expectations, aside from what the title suggested. Although I had not read any of this author's previous works, I am now eager to explore more of their writings. The story is filled with numerous intriguing twists and turns, and the protagonist is a highly likable character. Initially, it was unclear who the antagonist was, but just when you believe the story has concluded, another unexpected plot twist emerges. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a captivating and well-crafted read.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
How Well Do You Know Your Husband? by M.Q. Webb is a twisty marriage thriller packed with questions.
This one was a bit tricky for me. In some way, there was so much happening at the same time felt like nothing was happening. The end was twisty, and some flyers were so, so good but then it felt that it's way too much was going on. There was some good suspense from time to time! Kind of felt that the author tried to make a twist of everything so it felt a bit overwhelming.
There were some really good and yummy secrets and revenge behind the scenes! They came out completely like a cold shower!

Action rotates around Aria and her husband Ethan. Aria feels that she can't trust her husband but when her friend Isla dies she suspects that he could be involved. Things get really complicated when she receives an e-mail with the subject line: How Well Do You Know Your Husband?

Action tornado is right there and throwing at you new turns one after another!

Thank you, NetGalley and TBR for this copy!

I quite liked this book! It kept me engaged the whole way through, and I didn't see the twist coming at the end. I could have done without the final few chapters where the main character, Aria, faces someone from her past. But otherwise worth the read!

Thank you to TBR | Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) & NetGalley for providing an advanced digital copy in exchange for an honest and independent review.

It's a basic thriller about a woman who learns she can't trust her husband- the title is very transparent... Not bad, but certainly not good by any means. I felt like the entire book was just questions the main character, Aria, asked herself in her head. It fell very flat for me from the beginning and never really picked back up again. Very simple & easy to read. I am giving two stars because it's not bad enough to where you feel you need to DNF, but it's not as thrilling as I would have liked, I probably will give this author another chance in the future.

This book was ok. It centers on Aria, who is struggling with her husband and with the idea that someone is following her when her friend is murdered and she thinks it might be about her. The prologue starts the book off quickly bit after that the pace is a little bit slower, with a lot of internal narrative.

I suppose Aria was a likable character but she came off very naive to me. I feel like some of the things that came to light should’ve been questioned a long time ago. There was some good suspense at times on this book but other times it read a bit slow. I wasn’t super surprised at the twist at the end but I do think the action was ratcheted up well at that point in the book.

Overall, decent read that fell just a little flat because I couldn’t really believe that Aria didn’t dig into some things a little deeper. Held my interest overall, though. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars (when are they ever going to listen to us and allow half stars???) It's kind of scary to imagine that you don't really know the person you are spending your life with because we can only see what they want to show us. Some people have great instinct and intuition, and others don't. Or we've not learned to listen to our inner voice. Or we simply don't want to know because then we have to confront things and take action. I found our main character to be a bit frustrating because a lot could have been solved/avoided if she had just confronted her husband and asked the tough questions. I suppose he could still lie, but she knew deep down what her intuition was trying to tell her. Anywho...a very engaging read that I was invested in seeing to the end to figure it all out.

I flew through this twisty thriller in just over a day! The ending totally caught me off guard, and I was eager to see what would happen next. The plot is really well put together, and as the story unfolds, there are some surprising twists that flip everything you thought you understood on its head. The characters are really well-developed revealing bits about themselves as you go along. By the end, the final twist ties everything together perfectly.

Thank You NetGalley and Publishing company for allowing me to review this ARC.
