I love this TikTok series, so I knew I’d like the book. Having Kyle explain that this book is such a Virgo move (“Who publishes a list of insults?”) resonated. I laughed out loud reading it. Kohl’s cash crypto, the Pink Floyd pride shirt, Let’s Go Brandon, and Team Jacob were highlights for me. I also appreciated Kyle’s heartfelt afterward.
“Will it make a self described alpha man’s head explode? What won’t?”
“If he’s gone to therapy, this likely won’t work. Which means it’s very likely to work”
Thank you NetGalley and RBmedia for the ARC of this audiobook for my honest review
Funny and short, my favorite insults were #8, #25 #26 #36 #39 #47 #52 and #58, but you’d have to read it to find out what they were. I think this could be a great series like 109 things to say to piss off Americans etc. Great funny gift for someone else but I probably wouldn’t get one for myself.
I'll be publishing my review on Goodreads and StoryGraph 13th October and on Tik tok most likely will add to a monthly wrap up post with review the beginning of November.
This is a very funny adaptation of Kyle Prue’s TikTok series, Things To Say To Piss Off Men, and it has some nice reflections at the beginning and end. While Kyle Prue does a great job narrating the audiobook, this is definitely more of a coffee table book.
Thank you Recorded Books and NetGalley for an advanced listeners copy.
Omg this was hilarious! I highly recommend listening to this book! It is very quick witted and funny. I am now following him since I definitely want to hear more from him!
Thanks NetGalley and publisher for the digital copy in exchange for my honest review!
According to Kyle, the key insulting a man is to find what makes a man feel important then belittle it.
This had the same vibe of Kyle’s TikTok’s with even more self awareness, as a cis-het white man. I thoroughly enjoyed this and laughed out loud multiple times.
At the end of the audiobook there was a long chat with Kyle and his mom, Kelly. They touch upon many topics but one that’s dear to my heart (as a person who pushes men to do better) that they don’t actually hate men. They want to help men get out of the box that our patriarchy[, white supremacy] society has told them they need to fit within. Kyle says to any man or person that feels anger at anything in his book/TikToks to learn to say “that hurt me” and deep dive into why.
My favorite jab that I will be taking with me… When you want to tell a man he’s being a dick, tell him: “wow you’re so sassy”
Thank you NetGalley and RBMedia for the free audiobook in exchange for an honest review!

When I started this book I was prepared for a fun little giggle listening to @kyleprue give me valuable lessons on ruining men. I’ve been an avid fan of the TikTok series so I was very excited and was not disappointed.
What I was not prepared for was the poignant break down of the detrimental impact of fragile masculinity and what that really means. The emotional dive into Prue’s own history and heartfelt anecdotes. This book gave me so much more than I anticipated and pulled out big emotions.
If you’re looking for a good time trying to figure out if you too could win in a fight with a goose to the death or a peak into the importance of kindness and open feeling in men this book is for you.
Pride gives a line that goes something like Men are always interested in the blood, but rarely in the wound it comes from. I’m not sure I’ll EVER be over it.
A million stars. Highly recommend.

I don’t necessarily think I needed a guide on how to piss off men (I seem to do a fantastic job all on my own, thank you very much), I do appreciate a good list.
I listened to this audiobook while working, and had to stifle multiple cackles as to not alarm my coworkers. I will be thinking of “you kinda give me a preemie vibe” for a long time, and will definitely find a way to use it at some point.
Although this book is a comedy, it is also a social commentary on gender norms and the effects of the patriarchy, and you can tell Prue put a lot of thought into those aspects.
Now, Kyle, even after all the analysis that went into whether or not you could win a fight to the death against a Canadian goose, I’m still convinced the goose would win.
Thank you to NetGalley, Sourcebooks, and RBmedia for providing me with an ALC in exchange for my honest review!
You look like a man who got a book deal from his social media.
BUT I LOVE YOU, good for you honey! Well deserved!
I enjoyed this immensely because it was literally just the exact thing we hear from Kyle on his social, which is EXACTLY what I want from a social media personality that was given a book. I want what they are known for. Please stop giving people who became internet famous book deals and letting them write about like, the byzantine era for no reason at all.
Five stars. Please keep giving us sayings to piss off men.
This was a short, amusing read. While there were some zingers, most of the 106 things were either fandom/hobby specific, or they required the person saying them to make themselves sound dumb. I did enjoy the spirit of the book though, and I ate up the small taste of the author's voice and experiences. This being my first read by this author, I'll definitely check out his other books.
This was everything I expected going into this book. Go figure but my brain hadn't registered Kyle was a dude's name because Americans tend to name their kids crazy names so you know. Anyway, it was extremely self-aware and I also appreciated the last chapter in which he dissected why those sentences "shatter the male ego" (spoiler alert it's toxic masculinity). I'm always sad reading these books because I know they won't end up being read by the people who would need them most (✨alpha males✨). Overall a quick read that had me cracking up at times and yeah, I have to admit, I found this guy funny, who knew men could actually be funny (this is SARCASM, for the idiots in the back).
This is a short instructional manual for how to piss off men. Personally, I don’t tend to need instructions for this but I did really enjoy the audiobook and commentary around the jokes. Would recommend it to men who have a sense of humor, and women/femmes who need a laugh (which is all of us).
Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for this audiobook for review purposes.

Content warning: This may piss off men
This was a quick fun listen. I've seen many of these things on this authors social media but having them all there ready to fire at will was a nice touch
This audiobook was great!! I loved the extra bonus content with Kyle and his mom. Might have to buy this book to keep in my bathroom. Great for men and women. Hilarious and practical.
The laughs rang out as every word this author uttered hit a deep nerve within any man around. I recommend this if you have been digging deep for those one sentence comebacks to men who think they are high and mighty. And the personal experience he gives makes it so much better.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I am a fan of Kyle Prue’s tik tok series on how to piss off men and was excited to see him put off this book. It had humor that made me laugh out loud, which I expected. What I didn’t expect was Kyle’s anecdotes about his experiences with masculinity. It was a welcome and pleasant surprise. I especially enjoyed the end section with his Mom.
I follow the author on the Tiktoks so I naturally had to read the book. I read the book and then I was given the chance to listen to this. OMG I am so glad I did. This was hilarious. I loved the second section with his mom too. Just wonderful. What a blast.
I loved this book. I had seen a few of Kyles videos before but this was such a quick and funny read. The bonus chat at the end with his mother was also great.
Short and funny. I really enjoyed the sections that were anecdotes as to how the "Things you can say" originated and definitely laughed out loud on my commute listening to this book.
Thank you Netgalley for the Audiobook!
I didn’t expect it to be a list of comebacks, I expected a little more text but it made me think of those magazines I bought as a teen, there were always lists like this in those. Feels like a book many will get for their birthday, “Not that you need any help in this area but I thought of you when I saw it.” Did trees deserve to die for this? Not sure. I had the audiobook for this and the author/narrator does a good job but feels that this book should be TikTok videos. He does address that men reacting with angry is a second emotion from something else happening inside, I found that interesting.
Thank you Net Galley and Publishers for letting me read an arc of this book in return for an honest review.
I wanted this book to be more funny I guess. There were some enjoyable insults throughout, but most of them women already know to use. I would say this book would make a good gag gift, and there's some insults I would use in here. It's a very quick read but no really memorable quotes from it.
